We are back today to bring to you our anime, our quarterly anime review for your listening pleasure. No, I'm joking. So, hey everybody, welcome back to the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. We're here with our quarterly anime review, our Blurred Cube anime review, uh to review the winter 2022, not all of them, but the ones that we watched and we enjoyed, um, our panelists, uh, as well as we're going to give you uh anime that we're excited about, moving into spring and then, of course, summer and so on and so forth, uh, anime, seasons of anime. Uh, we've had a lot of studios closed, a lot of studios open, some studios are on hiatus. Um, some people are trying to switch up the game and you know, give us pause. Um, some are heightening their budgets and you know, putting out some bangers. Um, a lot of people are trying to do movies because they feel like they got the budget. So we're gonna talk about a couple of all of those things. Um, but first, of course, I have to introduce our panelists uh one by one, starting with myself, Suchino Shogun, your moderator. So, of course, as always, for our reviews, I'm just gonna give it to our panelists, give them the opportunity to go down a long list, shortlist, individual anime that they watched this past season. Um, maybe they watched something earlier than this past season, then they just now finished it. Um, but I'm gonna go to each of them and give them the opportunity just to say, hey, I watched this and this is what I thought about it. And you know, we even go as far as give them a uh the ability to give a grade. So we'll say, uh, should we do letter grades this time or should we stick to our one out of five? Which I think. One out of five. One out of five? All right. So, and decimals count, people. You you can use the decimal points. Don't be afraid of the decimal point. Like, not everything is just gonna be a polar. You can you can say 3.8, you can say 1.2, you know, it exists. Actually, this this there's a tens place and a hundredths place in decimals. You can go 1.2.5. Actually, that's not a number. It'd be 1.25. But anyway, now going back to our individual panelists, we will start with our uh our lady cosplayer. She has uh uh a uh uh an e an event that she must uh partake in. So we want to give her the opportunity to uh uh showcase her anime knowledge and then let us know what she has uh been uh gracing her ocular senses with uh this past season. Uh the the the Sione cosplay. Uh uh what have you been watching and what would you like to give us a review about?

Oh my goodness. Wow, I don't know how to uh to really um come into light with with that introduction kind of thank you so much. Um I let's see, I'll start with what I'm and like I'm really looking forward to and what I'm anticipating for this year. I love bleach and I was highly excited for bleach coming out. Um this year I think it's gonna be a thousand blood year or something like that. One of the one of them, one of them years that's coming out. Um and I love the art style. Bleach to me was like one of like the heavy hitters uh next to Dragon Ball Z and Naruto. That's all um, but it definitely was one of those top three shonen of um, I would say growing up um in high school, and it was just kind of one of kind, um, the art style, the music. I was definitely listening to the Wickamundo um music at work. So I'm very excited. And my favorite um bleach uh captain, which I'll call y'all know, is uh Kuchiki Maria. I know I probably fed up his name, but the one that looks like a Pharaoh, the body paint, the scientist. He he's like a mad scientist and very chaotic. Uh, but I love him and I can't wait to see uh the new character developments. Um, you know, they really ended it uh weirdly with the fullbring arc, which I wasn't a fan of. So I really hope that they uh come back strong. Um and I and I know they will. Uh they had the fullbringer is like the fullbring arc with trash. Oh we all know the trash. We should have left it with eisen. That was a perfect finale. Leave it with eisen. And I was good. I was I was humbled. My stomach was full, and they gave me unnecessary trash and I didn't need it. So I was so excited um uh to re-emerge um, you know, in the promo uh uh what you call it, the the trailer for it was really exciting and the trailer uh showcase at the end of last year. So um I hope that they don't push it back and I can't wait to see what they bring to the table in December 2022. December. Yep, December 2022.

Yeah, currently they said it's uh scheduled for fall 2022, so we'll see what happens. But this let's let's just say December so we don't get our hopes up. And when it comes out, let's say in September, we're delightfully surprised.

Um yeah, I've actually uh uh read the the uh the the war art like multiple times. I've uh it's you know it's it's it's lovely and you know it has you know it has problems, but it's you know it's it's it's hype is hype as fuck. It uh it closes all the all the circles. I need it. Um the yeah, no, it's just it's just uh I I I like I like the I like I like the last arc of Bleach better than I like the last arc of Naruto.

Um so we can actually it's almost a good thing that they didn't do it until now because it's because if it like if it actually looks like a like a 2022 um anime, then um yeah, no, this should this should be fucking gorgeous and and and wonderful and I can't can't wait to see it. Yep, yep, yep.

I have a question for you. Do you think that it it if you were to compare it to the Wacomundo arc, is it more fire than that arc? Because to me that was like probably the most fire arc that I've seen in anime uh in a while at that, you know, at that time.

Um I don't think I don't think it's as much uh I don't know, like the Wake of Mundo arc is is one is that's also one of my favorite arcs, and I think the Wake of Mundo arc was probably better balanced. This arc was just hype as fuck. Like it's just it's like again, it's the end, and they and they and there's a lot of things they have to like take care of and handle, so it's just like oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, and then you know about 15 more oh shits, and then like it's uh then it's pretty much over. Uh so it's just so uh so I don't know the balance is different, it's hard to compare. This one's definitely more exciting. Uh I don't I don't know. I don't know how it compares as far as like story significance. Uh, I mean this one, like I think this one has like probably less information, but this has more important things. This is like all the all the questions that haven't been answered.

And you think that's you think maybe that is because with the Wikimundo art, they were still building characters and building the the world and the story for more later arts. But since this is the end, there's we don't need to tell you any more anymore or introduce anybody. Well, they probably introduce somebody, but we don't introduce like a whole cast of people because you know we're we're nearing the end. So that's probably why.

Um, well, I have not seen Jiu Jitsu Kaisen uh zero yet, um, but it looks fire as fuck, and I am incredibly excited uh to see it. I I love I would say um jujitsu kaizen has hits and um but then has misses when it comes to storytelling, but the action is insane. So I'm kind of forgiving of the bullshit storytelling because the the action to me the action is better than Demon's Lair a little bit. A little bit. Now Demon's layer aesthetically is gorgeous. Gorgeous, yes. Gorgeous, yes. Um and it's almost like a fluid painting. Yes, but jujutsukaisen be fucking hype. And the villain, I you know, I know a bitch love, a good villain. Like the whole it just got me too fucking hyped. So I love, I love Jiu Jitsu Kaisen. I'm I am looking forward to Tekken. Um I'm a huge Tekken fan. Um but uh like I just I just I just live and breathe Tekken. I love the background story with the Mashima family, Mashina family, uh with uh Hayashi and uh Kazia. Um Yoshima Two is my favorite. I don't know if they're gonna bring him in there.

It's very messy, it's very drama-filled, and it's been like that since the early 90s and and and niggas still ain't shit. And I love it. I live for it. Um the the art style, because it's gonna it's gonna showcase on Netflix. Um, I just hope they do it right. I'm a pretty good judging character of an anime just based off the trailer. Um, what whether it comes to cartoons, movies, anime, I can tell if it's gonna be bullshit or not, and if it's gonna, I don't know, but I'll I'll watch it because I'm a huge fan. Um, but uh, I'm I am excited to see Tekken um on TV. To me, that's like revolutionary. I would love to see if Dynasty Warriors gets on TV, but I don't think that's gonna happen. But I am very excited for Tekken. So I would say um that's another uh anime cartoon-based um show that's gonna be showcasing in the next couple of months. I'm very excited.

I know you have uh been uh a lot more uh uh into watching anime than you have in previous seasons due to your uh illustrious schedule. Uh so uh we'd like to ask you, you know, what anime uh have you been watching that uh you have you would like to give a review? And then of course, as uh Sayon A Cosplay did, what anime are you anticipating, other than of course Bleach uh that is coming out uh in the near months?

Gotcha. Gotcha. Uh I think my first uh I think my first anime is gonna be uh uh the Dragon Quest Adventure of Die. Okay. Um that's actually that's actually been um it's like it's like in the in in the six episode sixties. Um it's been going going for a while now. Uh and it's actually been affected by the uh toe toe hack. So I've been waiting on baited breath.

I keep thinking like, oh man, I I felt real bad for them one piece fans, and I'm like, and then every Sunday I'm like I too perfect, but uh but uh uh no adventure die. It's actually a remake of an 80s anime. Um uh which I was I was really uh really surprised to find out, but um, but no, it's about the you know titular character uh die. Um uh just uh you know pretty pretty standard uh drag Dragon Quest character kind of uh he's this one's actually younger than uh usual, you know. He kind of grow, you know, he grows up on an island full of monsters. Um and he's taught and um and uh there's a you know there's a there's a uh there's a monster that talks to him, the he calls him grandpa, and he raised him, he tries to teach him magic, he sucks at it. Oh Jesus. Um but uh but pretty much uh some uh some some uh some some shit pops off, some people show up on the island, um, and uh and that you know and that kind of sets things in place and die has to roll out and kind of you know achieve his destiny, more or less. But uh, but no, Dai is uh uh it's just like it has very like really solid pacing. The uh like you can um it doesn't, it has like no no filler at all. It's like very uh you you kind of know what to expect coming in like episode to episode. The I I don't know why it has so much budget, but this shit is clean, clean as fuck. Like uh they they got I I doubt it, I doubt Akira Toriyama's doing it himself, but uh Kiritoriama always does the uh the Dragon Quest art. And this is a Kira Toriyama like style. And and again, it is like so. I mean it's pretty it's prettier than then it's prettier than like super. Like it is this is this is officially his his his best looking thing that's uh come out. It uh again though, it's it is a remake. So a lot of the uh some of the um uh some of the style of the uh action and like in the way that some of the frames are done, you that's still kind of like oh that's kind of dated. But the uh but the actual effects and the sharpness of the animation and the uh and uh and like and you know how like and how many like frames they do, like all that's like top notch. Um but and uh no, it's and uh and and really what kind of stuck with me is the uh um like we we uh the I think the main party is is like uh well no, you start you start with like I mean you start with die, he kind of builds up to like three, and then uh but and then the kind of the the main party kind of grows a little bit after that, and everybody gets a sh surprising amount of uh attention, like backstory. Honestly, this is one of the animes where if you see a you see a villain more than once, that that nigga's gonna have multiple backs, multiple uh flashbacks, multiple uh backstory. You won't figure out the hows and whys of of everybody. Um and uh yeah, no, I uh again, it's uh again for me, it's the uh it's the it's the aesthetics, it's the uh it's the consistency, it's the uh it's uh you know, it's uh it's a store, you know, it's a story you've probably heard before, but it's you know, but it's told well and it's told in it in just enough of an interesting way that you know it keeps you it keeps you it keeps you going. Um so uh yeah, nope. It's just been uh it's just been well pleasing. It's it's real, it's real nice. It's like it's like checking out like a like a Miyazaki film. It's just like you know, you know, you're about to have a good time.

True, true. Um, yeah, must protect. Uh uh, but yeah, no, he is uh he's he's he's deaf, extremely naive, and uh and despite the many critical criticisms about his people by his accession to the throne, he does his best and dreams of becoming the greatest of kings. And then one day he meets uh Kage, who's a uh shadow, a survivor of a wiped out assassin clan, who uh understands his words despite Boji being unable to speak due to his uh disability. And the story follows the pair as they navigate the world and all of its adventures and darkness. Um yeah, uh uh Renke King is just so just is just well worthy. Uh yeah, it really is. Like it is just like the the the the like the the art the art style is like very particular, like you get a you you you almost you you get like a grasp of a character like lit just by looking at them and and I and uh the art style also like makes makes up for the uh this the sheer freedom of expression that every like that every character has, like the like you get like a full almost a full range of emotion from like almost every every like member of the cast. Like you don't like it, like you didn't even you did you wouldn't even think their their face could contort that way and until you see this crazy shit that happens and then see how they react to it, and and you know, and then that makes you you know and that just like makes your reaction to it like that much more real. Like because it was because it's like that did like this shit is actually happening.

I have to add real quick, like 100%, because I think about Oaken's face, like Oaken is in a suit of armor, and even though the literally the face on the suit of armor is not contorting, but I I felt the emotions whenever he would get scared or upset or angry or or wrathful, like even though the suit of armor itself is not changing to the shape of his face, you felt it in the shading, in the emotion that was evoked, in the actions, in the in the sounds from the uh that that definitely was my my anime for this this past season, even though I started in it.

Yeah, no, no, it was it was definitely uh fantastic. Like uh everybody's uh I mean I have a few uh questions and criticisms for some motivations, but uh, but but at the very least, everyone's uh uh everyone's motivations are you know distinct and explained. I don't you know, I don't know so much as makes sense. But uh but um but no everyone you know uh everyone like has very distinct like this is this is why this is why I wake up, this is this is how I want the world to be, this is how this is what I want to be, and and and every in every like this. decision they make and like uh you know move moves towards that they are they are extremely consistent. Uh yeah the like you know the store the story is just like fantastic again paced beautifully it it like it like it uh it it like uh um it like unveils itself to you like almost like almost like a storybook like you don't you don't know what the next page is gonna hold um I don't I don't know what we were talking about when I said that like when it started you like and I think that that was probably a lot of people's um uh reactions when the when the first two episodes came out or the first episode came out people like okay well you know the drawing style is mmm and you know this you know you hear that you see the trailer you're like okay why are they doing this like we just did you know Comey can't communicate now you have somebody who's you know deaf and you know not able to speak properly so is it another one of those where they can't like talk to people so you're not sure where it's going and then like at the end of the first episode you say okay okay we we about to get lit okay bogie and then when you get into the second episode you said wait a minute hold up and the third episode you're like wait are we going into the underbelly what's going on like I actually started watching it waiting for attack on titan to load because you were not disappointed because you got hooked well so I didn't initially get hooked after the first episode because you know my brain was on ALT first for me um so Shammy B was watching it after I did and then I went back like mid episode two and then I was like oh okay okay we're going somewhere and it was like it was like a slow bill like if you're reading a colorful chapter book literally as well um and also the um the some this the simplicity of like the strong design also also made way for the the clean as animation this is so deceptively well animated um and and uh and for something to uh like while while like while the initial design either you may not like or you may find cute like but in an or but it may not be like initially like gorgeous or striking the again going into like the those the the facial details and the animation and and again the uh the the strength of design of just like everyone like looking like very distinct and and representing like who they are almost just by looking at like all that wrapping up together is just is just every like it just it it brings it brings you into that world like very uh very quickly honestly it it remind again it it it reminds me of like uh uh of like Miyazaki or uh or Oda where um like people look you know people look super distinct but like but but this one in particular like once they start but once they start moving especially especially broke boji little little broke broken ass kick he's broke for a lottery I'm not gonna get into a lot like I'm not getting detail okay everybody not that but uh but um but but I was I was getting I I was I was getting hairs of uh it was it was one of those like underdog stories with but a nigga's obviously better than everybody and I'm like y'all well yeah y'all y'all like y'all y'all don't notice how broken this nigga is y'all too y'all looking down y'all knows at this person he's obviously better than you um but uh but you know fucked up you know fucked up world states will we'll have your perspectives like that so um but no uh uh Ranger Kings is a fantastic ride uh all the way through and uh yeah I definitely I cannot cannot wait for uh for the next season.

Yeah they've definitely given us like they've literally like you said it was a it was an amazing ride all the way through and it honestly at at seeing the end of it it could have just stopped but they laid like the tracks for a multi-season anime because you know you there's so many different aspects that they mentioned during the course of these you know 20 some odd episodes that once you get to the end especially like the second to last or third to last episode you're like oh wait a minute because like I I there's certain things I forgot about to be completely honest.

I I pride myself in saying I don't forget about certain details because it's you know I want I want to I want to remember it as it ties into the end of the story. But like you said they put so much emphasis like they they told you about a bunch of side shit but they told you gave you so much emphasis like there was so much going on in the main story that if you like even left some thoughts open for the other stuff you wasn't gonna pay attention to the main stuff going on. So then when you got to the end and you're like oh my God they're about like I don't know where Bose is going but Bose about to go some places you know that's all I'm gonna say about that. Um but yes uh did you have any other anime uh that you oh I'm sorry did you have any other anime that you wanted to review or any anime uh that you're expecting Kazai uh I did but I forgot so come back so come come back to me come back to you okay um Dr. Quinzel I know you were uh saying that Ranking of Kings uh was your uh main anime that you wanted to review did you have another one or did you have I mean I know there's something specific that you're anticipating uh but uh did you have another anime that you wanted to review for this season literally sitting here like what was the one that I was specifically anticipating like okay anyway um I mean for this past season I was watching the main ones like pretty much everybody else or hopefully everybody else tack on Titan um ranking of king and the entertainment district for Demon Slayer right as far as things that I'm anticipating um I really I think I mentioned it before but the movie Bubble that's coming out on that place a movie I think it's a movie somebody check that you keep going I mean it's pretty like a movie no it's a movie you're right it's a movie I googled it immediately said bubble 20 2022 film okay um I'm anticipating that because the artwork and the graphics it's just gorgeous it's stunning um so I watched the trailer that came out I think last month so I I can't wait for that to come out um I'm also interested in spy x family you did say that I think you've been saying that since like like December no I'm not I mean Mark just told me that he was trying to read the manga but he didn't so thank God specifically said that they were expecting or waiting for spy x family I thought it was you if I'm my bad at the point I might I might uh I might have brought that up too because I remember I remember hearing about uh uh the I remember hearing about the spa family and uh and chainsaw man around around the same time anticipating chainsaw man thank you yeah so I I heard like I I literally I literally I would I literally just watched a video and it was like these are these are the hypers mangas right now that are that have been either either cleared for an anime or or they are so fucking popular that they they will get an anime and and and those two like the top both of those like top the list.

Oh sure yeah um yeah because the last other anime that I was watching which was Platinum End I decided not to finish that um but yeah so those are my two anticipations bubbles spy X family and Chainsaw Man and then I'm I'm nervous to see what's happening with ALT because today is the last day of the episode and from my understanding or multiple research that they're ending at chapter 130 with no they already they announced that there's going to be a a final season part three okay all right thank you for the you don't know how that finals and parts I told y'all last time there is no other series that knows how to draw a nut out longer than thank you and that's the fucking problem all right I'm just gonna put that out there map but I love you for jujitsu you know but you making me wait another couple months for you to do AOT to finish it is just bullshit at this point.

Um but again all speculation yes that's the only one that I'm like eh we could we were supposed to finish this and not continuations okay it's just dot dot dots oh it's like the ending you know when you watch Jojo and it says to be continued that thing just flashes across the screen at the end of the episode dots like that's what I keep feeling like ALT seasons are just just but but you still go back and you still watch it's because I have a problem with my call I mean that's I and the problem and the problem in the words of Uncle Ruckus is you won't read not gonna read no no okay I mean I won't read it either I I tried to read the manga but the art just wasn't pulling me in well it's not even that I don't read like again I was reading over Mark shoulder okay all right and so I know what's good.

Um and I don't think I don't think that ending was top tier for something that people have invested years in at this point. I I feel like you need to give us something better than that.

That's a different conversation altogether because the uh I I will I I my only misgivings about those things is is that I I don't appreciate like audience entitlement when it comes to stories that they didn't create like you are in you are in the story. You didn't make the story so it's like from from my perspective you don't have any licensure over how it's supposed to end. It ends how it ends and whether you like it or not it's doesn't that's never mind. But that's all I'll say on that because it's one of the larger issues for me when it comes to just community engagement with it when it comes to like source content. It's like okay well I didn't like this ending I need a better ending as and it it basically turns like the fans into misery from that Stephen King story. Like she basically held that nigga hostage and started breaking all his limbs until he wrote what she wanted him to write. And that's what a lot of that's what a lot of fandom has turned into and I don't think it's good um because it like I think it fosters too much room for thoughts like that. Okay well you if you didn't like the ending it's like okay well you didn't like the ending because you you wanted something to you wanted some payoff that kind of appeals to you a bit more but generally speaking uh I don't know the ending. I know you know the ending because you know Mark is mark mark reads his manga but also just like if if it was the ending that it was then you know it's the ending that it was and that's how it ended.

The other speculation is that he did two endings. So that's why I said it's I'm curious to see how they'll end it. I they when it when it did come out I know it was a split some people liked it some people didn't um I but I will say it it wrapped up everything with a pretty bow on it like if you there was no mystery now I did I will commend him for that it was no mystery as to what there were no sleep holes no nothing. Every question that you might have thought of was answered so I I appreciate that of course because you know some things you be sitting here with more questions after it ends and you're like well now I can't get these questions answered. You know there were no answers to that one either we're not talking about platinum in I got a rundown on how that ended and it actually made me pissed off so I don't I'm glad I'm so um as far as the Jesus movie I mean it was you said we was gonna do a whole review on it I said it was awesome it will of course you get out of five out of five out of my book but you know that's just me.

Excuse you first of all I forgot since you were talking about Netflix I forgot to mention uh JoJo Stone Ocean part two is coming out in the fall which I'm waiting for because the first half was um but yeah but yeah I can't wait for categories twin to come out as well Yumiko and um I can't remember the girl's name that's always with the lollipop and she's always watching over the games oh yeah her um I know that you talk about she's a little like uh dragon hoodie she's one of my favorites out of the the series um I love how always comes across the girl from the council with the eye patch and she likes if you did not exist was a person it would be her the one is like like if you haven't watched category chapters one and two you need to watch it all I'm saying definitely all right so uh obviously our our our panelists have a uh a a list of anime that they have seen and that they're expecting but the black McCoy I feel like has a unique uh uh group of anime that they specifically watched so we're gonna let them give us their list of anime that they watched completed and that they want to give a review about as well as what they're anticipating for the upcoming seasons for 2022 and beyond uh the black McCoy um sure um one of the ones I do want to start with uh because I know you probably have one of these I'm gonna I'm gonna reserve one of them is land of the The Land of Leodale.

Yes and uh it's definitely a kind of it's another Isekai anime but um it's not Isekai in the kind of like general sense of you know I woke up and you know I'm just in this other world for no reason or like I was just reincarnated. But the premise of the show is that you know there's this uh there's this young young girl and she was basically she spent most of if not her well she spent most of her life in the hospital like bedridden in the hospital and the way that she spent the majority of her time was playing this game called Leadel. Um well there I forgot what happened like the power went out something went out at the hospital like the entire like uh power shut down and so the thing that was basically keeping her alive uh uh yeah that shut off too but while she was playing Leodel and so her consciousness or her you know well you know what is essentially her consciousness ends stays in Leodel and she now like currently lives and resides there and so it is just um it's one of those shows where you have an overpowered character but it's not centered on the fact that the character is overpowered it has a lot of very large slice of life elements um like if I had to compare it to any anime I would compare it to Bofree um with Maple and when she put all her stuff into the fence like it's similar to that in terms of tone because you get a chance to have like a genuine kind of isekai slice of life uh kind of sword art kind of experience without too much of like the the with too much of like the melodrama and like hyperactivity. It's a very relaxing very fun very endearing show like it has a lot of heart to it and that's one of the things that I love about it. It puts you in the position to it puts you in the position as like a player but not simply just as a player but like as like that that top tier player and you get a chance to um see her kind of traverse this world and find echoes of the world of the life that she used to have and like really try and piece together like who all else is stuck here. And you know she meets other players along the way who are also stuck in here but she got stuck in there relatively recently like when compared to them. So not without giving too too much away about the about the overall like plot of the show um I definitely would give this anime like a solid like 4.5 out of five and I give it a 4.5 out of five only because like I did not off but that's also sometimes I get sleepy. But um it's genuine it's genuinely like a really fun show. It invests you in every happenings in every episode and it doesn't take itself so seriously where it's kind of like putting all of the action and all of the like storylines and it's like forefront to where it's like super serious. But it it's just genuinely fun, relaxing and I have loved having shows that really put me in the position to just be able to kind of like relax and enjoy the ride of the story rather than kind of being on my seat being on the edge of my seat all the time. I love being on the edge of my seat when it comes to stuff like Attack on Titan and things like that. But like I genuinely love like a relaxed and kind of indulgent and kind of uh comforting viewing experience and Leadell definitely helps put that together for me. The other anime that I'm going to um that I'm gonna review um you know contrary to dr quinzel's desires is platinum end so also i'm glad that cyone is no longer here and miss skittles did not join today because one of the things that i one of the things about platinum end was that it intrigued me immediately when it hit the screen um the concept was dope i and i was i was i had no idea where it was going and what ended up happening as as from my like per se as how I viewed a lot of people's reaction to it everyone thought it was trash and I didn't understand why they thought it was trash but then after kind of like my own analysis I think that a lot of people thought it was trash because they expected something from it that I wasn't trying to give them and for like this isn't and and it took me like getting through the anime well getting through a certain portion of the anime to realize like this is not a this is not a show for shonen heads like the it kind of sets you up to think that it might be but it definitely isn't um the main character and I mean we know we I we talked about this on I talked about it briefly on like our last like one of our last anime episodes or something but you know the the the protagonist is basically um a god candidate um because you know the the current god is about to but about to basically retire or in their tenure as god and so what that means is you know uh he sends down 12 angels to pick a god candidate and the people that he picks are people who are um literally about to kill themselves that have nothing to live for and so we meet the main um protagonist as he is about to kill himself and falling off a building and an angel catches him and he then becomes the next guide candidate he receives like the series of arrows and wings so he can fly and he can like shoot people with the arrows he can like put them under his control or he can kill them or whatever. And so that's the premise of the show and that alone in puts into perspective so many other issues that come along um because this is from the same creator of Death Note. So it's not it's not a shown in anime it's very much a psychological kind of thriller show and the way that it approaches how we look at how we look at you know not even just anime characters but like the more distinctly human qualities when it comes to um when it comes to some of our protagonists, the way we understand like cosmology and like people's relationship to God and the necessity of God and God's place and all things um as well as kind of over providing a backdrop for what is a much larger conversation around what it means to be happy and to live a happy life and to kind of pursue this understanding of you know what it means to have a life with God, without God, um geared towards happiness, what it means to evolve as a person. And if you continue throughout the show, uh one of the it's interesting one the one of the things that was a heavy critique from like not even just some of our panelists but also from like other people watch the show is like they didn't like the main protagonist because of the kind of person that he was but also you know his inability or his refusal to like kill people or to be a murderer. But we get to see him legitimately go through a well-paced um evolutionary evolutionary tale throughout this entire anime and like it's not well paced because you know we see him like have to make decisions in terms of like oh I'm gonna do this or I'm gonna do that. Like he's not put at these like different crossroads every time he comes into like an episode or something that forces him to transform. But it's more so that like the the progression of his character is so organic like you it it is akin to legitimately watching a human being and not a fictionalized character, which I think is one of the stronger points of the show. And the ending was fantastic in my opinion. Like I I loved it I I am I like immediately it was very abrupt it was it wasn't like a bow tie but it was very abrupt in a way and because it was so abrupt I was inclined to be like something's not right here. But then like after reviewing like the entire course of the show and reviewing all of the characters and reviewing all of the motivations and all of the the the impetus behind this as well as the different aspects and the different motivations that have come along with this particular show it worked in my opinion. I still think there are some things that could have been fleshed out a bit more um that we could have gotten a bit more like in more in-depth towards but you know we didn't really get the opportunity to do that because the show itself was more so centered around the God candidates and not so much centered around the angels. The angels were very much like tertiary characters for all intents and purposes in the grand scheme of this particular anime now that's different than manga then you know maybe but um generally speaking I would give it a solid maybe like 4.2 out of five and I that that point eight is very contingent upon some extra like storytelling in terms of like the the angels and that aspect of the world itself that you know we didn't really get a chance to become fully privy to. So I definitely say watch platinum and if you are not if you are into like super intense action then don't watch it. Be I mean there is action in it because of just the nature of the abilities that they have but if you're into a very heavy kind of like examination of the human condition of the condition of like government and their place and relationship to the cosmos and God and just what the implications behind various religious perspectives and you know the kind of philosophy that's embedded in the overall story of the main character as well as the the the um the kind of the world that they build then absolutely but if you just need some action porn go watch high school go watch God of high school or something like it's a what much worse story but it's way more fun it's way more fun to just kind of like watch like a zombie on a couch. In terms of shows that I am interested in for the coming season um Tomodachi game is one that stands out to me. I do love a really good um thriller anime thriller anime wow that's not the word thriller anime um you know the premise behind this one is that you know you have like these five this this group of friends you know they're five really great friends they've been close for like a really long time and they end up basically in this like debt repayment game um and you know they have in where the I guess the the the mandate is to not doubt your friends but um the the the way the plot is the way the plot seems to be progress seems to be going to seems to going progress going to progress based off of that alone is that they're going to be put in a number of different situations where you know they think that they'll be very they'll they'll progress through this easily because they've been best of friends for so long but then the the kind of like the deterioration of that um is going to like really fuel the progression of the story kind of like that um show Rika of the I can't remember the name of it. It's like Rika of the six something uh yeah that like Aztec no no no it's like where they had like these six champions or whatever or the Braves and like the six petals of the Braves that thing yeah something like that but yeah yeah it's kind of like that and then that's that's that's what I meant.

The synopsis for that one is that you know really powerful demon um thinks life is you know really boring. He's given like heavy Shikamaru vibes and then he decides to reincarnate on his own and he calibrates his own magical strength uh to be average as fuck. So there's no way that for him to predict like what's going to be happening for him in the modern world or that he'd be really weak which um is going to be you know um and ultimately kind of informing how he performs in the modern world. So he began he was reborn there's someone named Ard and he like watching his life progress from there is something that I'm very interested in. Like I love seeing different spins on Isekai that are more so subversions of the trope or you know kind of spoof. So it's gonna it's it's looking like it's gonna give me just like some really fun uh fun situations very fun kind of cartoony um satirical uh content to really indulge into and I love a good demon lord and an um and an isekai they they have they have yet to truly fail me in all honesty where others have continued to do so except for Rudius because he's been absolutely amazing.

Well based on how the first season ended they already opened up this whole extra can of worms as to everything that's going on here. So like they have a big huge mystery as to what's actually predicating how this world was going because like the first season was very much grounded absolutely as you were absolutely right in this like kind of reb revent yeah revenge plot my my mouth is not mouthing today um it was definitely predicated on this revenge plot but then even after that they moved further towards helping understand you know why the shield hero specifically was like treated like shit for no reason. Probably racism but you know um and then and then by the end of the season there's like you know this kind of like interdimensional threat within the world that the the heroes are supposed to be fighting against but then we find out um I guess spoiler um at the but we find out that the same heroes that are on you know the the cardinal heroes were the shield here the spear here all them like the ones that they're fighting they're heroes on the other side yeah and so it's like what the fuck is actually happening here because they see each other as villains but we now we have an even bigger question as to what is actually happening between these two worlds.

One of my favorite uh anime of this past season that actually was a second season was uh how a realist hero uh rebuilt the uh rebuilt the kingdom sorry um as I said before uh that one as well as the Genius Prince's guide to raising a nation out of debt uh both of them I felt a weird connection to in terms of how the thought processes of the main characters, how they you know approached different situations. Only one was actually well actually I guess yeah you know isekai you know when you get transported from one world to another only one was an isekai the other one was just a uh a prince who didn't want to deal with something that got forced into dealing with something and had to figure out all of these different ways and he believes oh as soon as I do this I'll finally be done with it. And then something else happens because of how good he is and it leads into more shit. So yeah I I feel both of these characters um really really closely uh really really well um I was gonna say that like just based on the strength of those titles they sound literally like things you like to do. Yeah yeah yeah uh they um I can't argue with that sentiment at all.

I mean even the real I mean well I guess if you add magic here you're right uh the realist hero is is more a realist hero who rebuilt the kingdom is more of a um it it dives into a a sleigh layer of government um and how things uh are supposed to work uh between our time and their time uh in this fantasy world. Uh the Genius Princess Guide uh more so just talks about this uh uh more uh kingdom-based government uh between all of these different empires and how they're supposed to interact and how this genius prince is going to help his nation get to a certain point aka out of debt so he ain't got to deal with it no more. I I thoroughly enjoyed both of those. Again, if you uh are a shonen head not really for you uh the pacing is uh it has to do with how the progression of the nations both of these seem like well I'll say the Realist Hero this is their second season so there probably won't be another one. There could be though based off of what you know um the main character Soma has been doing uh but you know you never know. Genius Princess uh Genius Prince's guy could definitely have like several more uh um several more seasons just depending on how they decide to go with the anime if they're gonna allow him to you know venture into other countries uh nations rather kingdoms uh you know deal with religion a little bit more uh that could be very exciting uh an anime I've been talking about well over a year uh that I thoroughly enjoy I I watched it when it first came out years ago uh I think two or three years ago and you know I'm still watching it the second season just ended uh last week or this past week uh Ari Fioretta uh from common job class to the strongest in the world. I talked about this anime before when I was waiting for the second season to come out. So I don't want to go too deep into what happened, but long story short, um again Isekai, but this it was a whole class kind of like I'm a spider so what? Whole class transported to a uh a fantasy world um and you know this entire class of students was giving you know different abilities and skills each of them had a different job class and their you know uh uh their responsibility was to get stronger to help the kingdom fight against demons or whatever right so this you know the main character uh he you know is doing his job he's a um I'm gonna get this wrong uh but he is able to manipulate matter uh I forget I don't want to say he's an alchemist but it is a word that this ah there's a word that they gave him uh a class that they gave him um I'm sure Kazia will come up with it and let me know what that is. But he has that ability and he's just minding his business, doing what he has to do. He's a little bit of a leader but not the leader leader. There's a guy who literally got the job class hero. So he's you know leading everybody. Long story short one of his classmates um likes the girl who likes him and decides you know we're in a fantasy world the police can't arrest me I'm gonna go ahead and find a way for him to be killed in an accident. So he thinks he kills him. He falls to the bottom of this labyrinth um sacrifices an arm eats some demons gets a little bit stronger meets a vampire gets even more stronger finds God age magic gets even more stronger uh conquers the labyrinth shits on niggas um and now we're in season two where he now has this team of uh of women you know a little bit of an Arab in there but these team of women who are around him uh each of their with their own capabilities that with uh joining forces uh with um the main character uh is able to you know travel around and uh uh unlock these different uh uh labyrinths solve these different labyrinths and uh they're able to uh really um they're they're able each of them are able to gain new abilities based off of the skills that he attains from these different labyrinths um and we're talking like like Hajime uh uh he you know has the ability like because of his his understanding of what happens in our world he's built tanks in this in this Hummers and Humbees he's built rockets he's built um tungsten steel satellites he's built um like like when people see this dude coming they're like oh he's just a da da da and they are like if you like action if you like uh shonen um you may not see it coming but they give it to you in this anime uh but there are a lot of puzzles there's a lot of different things in this world i i thoroughly enjoy this anime um i can't wait just to see what happens next they leave they leave off oh I didn't even get to finish they leave off at the end of this season with this huge like fuck you because you think this whole conspiracy well it's a big conspiracy that's happening and when you find out who did it you sit and then you find out why they did it you sit in here like are you girl what I said girl I wasn't supposed to um you're like why oh oh oh my gosh um oh I'm sorry okay no but um they they give you so they leave you with so many different uh uh uh as you know Kaze says um cliffhangers that it's it's there's there's an option and opportunity for them to have a third season will they do it you know budget studios etc but I would like to hope that there's a third season um of course Yashahime Princess Hive Demon that's you know the continuation of the Inyasha storyline with Inyasha and uh Sasho Maru's daughters um you know you you see that the three girls come together at the end of the first season this is the second season and you're like okay cool you know you're gonna end off they're just gonna continue the you know day by day you know whatchamacallit that anyasha did but no um they decided to you know make Sashomuru a father and I was like wait what's he doing but the crazy part is he's a father without saying anything and I'm like wait what how are you a father that way it's it's a whole thing because you know Soshomaru still keeps his showmaru ness like he's not doting over these bitches he's not you know coddling them in any way shape form he literally throws them into a flaming fire a burning forest and like figure it out like this and all Soshomaruness like there's like the same thing he did with Kohaku same thing same level same same attitude personality this is nothing for a child of mine you know what I know you were making that that's literally what he said so I saw oh okay good oh perfect yes um I I would have guessed it if I hadn't oh my gosh Sushomaru um I I I felt I didn't know because you know you're used to inuyasha first off in Kagome and you know first off they literally the entire first season you don't see them but in memories and then a couple of times at the end and then even in this season until the very end of it you don't see inuyasha and Kagome. They tried their best to make sure this was not only just about the daughters but that inuyasha and Kagome were going to come in with you know uh spiritual arrows uh uh and uh the Shikong jewel and all that stuff and save the day no they this this was left up to the daughters and you know Sushomer came in and you know did his like I ain't gonna spoil nothing but Sushomro saved somebody's life and it wasn't just you know his boo wren and and and and and I'm just saying, yeah, if you liked the Inyasha storyline, um, I think you'll like it if you stay true to what you liked about Inyasha to begin with. But keeping in mind, it is a completely different storyline. It is brought more into the modern age. Um, like Kagome doesn't know what the what the touchscreen phone is. Um, she doesn't know that there's you know 10 era uh there's 10 digits in a phone number. Like they left Kagome back, like even though she's in the feudal era, they left her back in the 90s era of her knowledge in terms of the current day. Like when she was talking with her daughter, she was all types of confused. She's like, You said what's a cell, what's a smartphone? Like, girl, what are you talking about? Anyway, uh, also Orient. Um, this is a dope anime. Uh, Demons, Oni. Um, then you see flying motorcycles, you're like, wait, what's going on? Um uh if you liked Ronin Warriors, this is not for you. Uh, that's not what this is about in any way, shape or something. I don't know. Not what this is about at all. But I feel like Orient is a good anime. Um I uh once you get to the end of this season, you start to get a feel for where they're going. Because, like at the beginning, you're like, okay, you know, you accidentally watch the opening credits and you're like, okay, they just fold a bunch of stuff. But there's so many different directions this anime goes through in this first season. You're not really sure where they're going with the anime at a whole. Once you get to like the last, uh, I'll say five episodes of the season, then you're like, oh, okay, I see where this is going. Uh so uh I I'd recommend Orient to most people. Um, yeah. Um uh oh, uh I'm not gonna say it's my number one of this season because it's definitely that's definitely Ari Fioda, but I absolutely loved uh uh Sabiku Bisco or Rusty Eater Bisco. Um this anime took me. Um I'm I'm not gonna do the Marvers Capcom thing, but it did take me on a wild ride. Uh I was I was I was definitely um I oh man, I thought I knew what's what was going to happen with this anime, I really did, because it gave me very uh like kind of old school 90s vibe in terms of not the art style, but just a vibe. Like I felt like I was watching like Outlaw Star or Trigun when it started, you know, the deserts and everything like that. But then when you find out why they're deserts, and then you then when you find out what the deserts are, um, it's it's it's very interesting. It also gave me a newfound appreciation for mushrooms. Uh it's actually very interesting. Like I uh it's a whole like I have a whole new like I started researching mushrooms legitimately. Um so uh uh Russell Eater Visco is dope. I will say the last two episodes, I was like, wait, what? You just you just okay. So um we're gonna see what's gonna happen. But they again, same thing. They leave you with uh cliffhangers to allow you to move uh back into uh a second and potential, well, I'll say the second season. Um, because uh pretty much with or uh with how you end again, uh Rust Lee Dorbisco, um the world as we know it has uh kind of uh deteriorated due to a uh uh, and I won't give too much away, but due to a uh illness that they called rust. And rust takes the lives of everything. It's not just uh machinery and metals, it's also plant life, animals, and humans. So you uh but for humans, it's and and a little bit of animals, it's a rust disease that infects the body and it slowly uh deteriorates the body until it gets to your you know your vital organs. And once it does, and those you know, do what rust does and uh decomposes, you know, your body starts to fail and you die. Uh so this has been happening for decades at this point. Um, and it all took place, you know, decades ago, due to some somebody doing some type of experiment and causing some type of something to you know, fuck up everybody. So now the cities of the earth, um, but you know, they focus on these different areas, of course, in Japan, but now the cities of the earth are um kind of stuck to figure out how to survive. And they're um that's where you know Visco, uh um breast eater visco, as well as you know, the other uh uh uh mushroom mancers come in. And these are individuals who utilize mushrooms to uh heal people. Like um, I'm sure the doctor can, uh, whether he can agree or not, mushrooms can be used for medicinal purposes to uh aid in you know different medicines and uh ill certain sicknesses. Please tell me I'm right or wrong on this. I don't know.

So and that and that's why I got so into and why I started researching mushrooms, is because they they go pineapples hard into you know breaking down these mushrooms, the type of mushrooms, well, you know, the basic ones, not going into, you know, of course, the fantasy element of the anime, but they talk about how these these different mushrooms can be used for um healing, you know, uh codes or healing, you know, eye uh um ocular pain or joint pain and stuff like that, how it's applied, ingested, so on and so forth. So it's amazing. But the biggest part about this anime is the fact that mushrooms have been outlawed, outlawed to the point, not like you know, weed outlawed, like you know, you get in high off shrooms, but outlawed in terms of just the idea of you having fungi in your presence. And why is that? Is because somebody has uh the law says that it was the mushrooms that caused the rust, which is which is why they've eradicated from the cities and make sure no mushrooms are anywhere. Because if you do, you're gonna catch the rust and you're gonna die. So um it's it's very, I love it. Um, Visco, one of the main characters, and then the other main character, my uh Milo. Milo's a doctor, and man, the I'm just gonna say the transport the the growth of Milo is you're gonna be shocked until you get to like four episodes before the end, and you're like, wait, what? Or three, I'll say three episodes at the end. You're like, wait, hold up. What this this is a little bit drastic, man. You sure you won't do this? But yeah, uh, definitely uh I recommend it. It's an amazing anime. Uh there are other ones, uh, I'm not gonna go into all of them because you know we only have so much time. I I do know that um Love Love of Kill uh was recommended by uh Joe Tsg. Uh, if you like like Assassins, Bodyguards, Hitman, that's a dope anime you could definitely watch. Of course, Princess Connect Redive Season Two. If you love the gourmet guild, uh actually uh Pepperine, her birthday was a couple days ago, you know, so shout her out. Um Sayu, uh Sayuki uh Reload, Zeroin. Um, that anime, the initial one came out years and years ago, but they had you know a reboot, uh not a reboot, it's actually a reboot slash continuation. Uh so uh if you were interested in the first one, you know, it got your action and that's dope. Uh one anime I was watching, I haven't finished yet, but I was watching with the Black McCoy was Salary Men's Club. Uh, if you want to become a Bobbery man, you gotta do it. Just, you know, uh man. Anyway, she present uh she professed herself a pupil of the wise men. Dope anime. It gives me uh Leadell vibes. Um, but it's up to you if you really want to watch it. Uh this is like my guilty pleasure, Sasaki and Miyano. Um I recommend everybody in the podcast watch this. It is not a shonen in any way, shape, or form. Uh it's actually a BL. It just has a very strong case uh like this, like this nigga is always uh uh always the smartest one in the room and and he has 99% of the information despite missing thousands of years of contacts. Uh and uh yeah, I mean the you know one of the best things about an actual intelligent character is is them sh is them showing their work and showing how they got there and and giving and giving you the at least some of the sometimes the opportunity to also arrive there, but but what but but once they like once they show how they arrived uh you know at their uh at their justification or explanation, and then you're like, oh shit, I never would have guessed that. But like, but you know, most of the shit this nigga says you have you just you you couldn't have known it was and he shouldn't have known, but it got nothing to do with intelligence. But it's like he's trying to keep it a secret for some reason. Uh yeah, yeah, there's yeah, there's no contextual actual reason. Yeah, it was I I remember I remember he fought with he fought the first day, that first demon when he woke up, and that nigga was like, Oh, well, uh, demons must have uh invaded the kingdom, but then he like he talked for like two through two or three minutes, and I'm like, there's no way you could have known 90% of this. But but I know you're correct because you're just the voice of X.

Uh another another thing they did bad was like they would they uh they they would try to despite him being hideously ripped in half, they would uh they would more or less lie. And like he would he'd be like, oh man, I'm not I'm not as good at this thing. And I'm like, nigga, you haven't nothing has been even remotely difficult for you up to this point. I have no reason to believe, despite the words coming out your mouth, that you're gonna have a problem with this either. And oh, I was correct. Oh surprised. Like, you're like, you know, like you gotta get through probably eight eight anime before he like actually has to uh uh before he says like oh this might be a slight issue for me, and I actually like believe him.

Yeah, like he and and like outside of that, he basically has a solution to literally everyone's problems thing and everything. And even his own even his own issues are really just him coming up against like stronger enemies that he can that he has enough like knowledge to think around already, anyway. Yeah, and like even by the end of the show, and we beat we get this big bad that we weren't checking for the entire time at all. Um and then after after that big bad is defeated, it's like uh there's a bigger, there's an even bigger bad somewhere else lurking, waiting for you. Um like, and he was like, he'll get you my pretty and your little and your human bitches too. Like like it was very like it didn't like as far as like a story structure, there wasn't a lot of really interesting things happening, and the character was and kind of Local said the character was too knowledgeable and too open in his own right to actually have any character growth, which I think is what distinguishes it, like genre, like distingu makes it stand out in terms of its mediocrity. Like it wasn't terrible, it just wasn't anything impressive. Like I I think about shows like Leodale and Miss Fit Demon King because with like Leodell and Miss Fit Demon King, like the show isn't centered around this, like uh some sort of like random challenge that these characters have to be. It's just them living their lives, and it didn't make his and it tried to put too many different obstacles in front of him that weren't actually obstacles, um, and focused on this kind of like storytelling where there is like a bad that needs to be defeated, that's you know, or like this like overall kind of like evil that needs to be conquered, that it didn't make it doesn't make us think that at any point like it would genuinely be difficult for him. And I think that's one of the best parts about overpowered character stories, is that we don't go into it thinking that there's going to be something that is going to challenge them ultimately, like we're there to watch them kind of have to navigate life currently with their overpoweredness. And I think that's kind of similarly what made One Punch Man so appealing in terms of like the initial concept. It's like you have someone who has reached the pinnacle of what every other shonen protagonist is always trying to reach. It's like now that we're here, now what? And overlord, yeah, yeah, and overlord. And so we don't really get that done very well here. Um and they try to make it interesting, I think, because it's like he has all the knowledge from his past life, but he doesn't have like the magical power, but he still has like substantial magical power better than everyone else.

Uh and then going back to what I said, you said Overlord, Overlord is coming back finally, waiting for Overlord for years, uh, but it's coming back this summer. I am so excited. Oh I'm I'm wondering how like because this is a very uh like I don't this the this was like this nigga was like the edgelord like in the 80s like and this was a very like adult adult um anime so I'm wondering how much shit is like there's a lot of shit he was doing that I don't think is gonna ride uh so I'm uh uh so how you know so I'm you know I'm I can't wait to see it but I'm wondering how it's uh how it's gonna translate uh yeah yeah how it's gonna translate how if they're going to if they're gonna touch the writing I don't know if this the same I need to do some more uh research uh yeah research on it uh also I had found uh a few more of the the things I was looking for uh for it to uh what one was uh Vinlan saga season two uh Vinlan Saga season one was amazing it was uh it was it was it was pretty much a a uh uh uh some semi uh his his historic account of uh of uh pre pretty much just uh it's this Vik is you know it's his like famous retired like Viking he and you know he ends up uh he ends up going on a uh uh on a on a voyage and he gets uh he gets he gets jumped uh and uh and and but and before he kills everyone who jumped him they they found he they found out his kid his kid was on board as a stowaway and his kid gets used as a uh as a hostage and he uh and they kill him and the story and the story is about this child and his and his search for uh revenge and uh and the child actually ends up in the uh uh he ends up working slash being taken care of by the guy who killed his father and and uh and uh and you know and also like uh all the all the like the political and and uh I mean I mean just like you know it's just like it's just it's very it's it's all it's very like game games of throne ish like uh just this this bunch of political point of views they got all the actual historic events and countries doing their things and the different uh uh things like leading each person on it's just it's a it's a specific character's uh arc the uh the the the this the nigga who killed his father is one of my favorite characters in anime like he is so incredibly uh well written and like and honestly I'm almost sad that we have to watch the anime through the main character's eyes not because he isn't like cool or interesting uh I mean I mean if anything he's he's probably a little bit by the numbers uh but this but Disney but this dude is such a genius and is and is a delight every time he speaks every time he's on the screen every time you find out a new uh a new uh angle or new motivation like it he's just everything so I can't I cannot wait for this uh next season I actually read the manga before the anime came out and it's like very uh Uh it's it's it is it it's unfortunate uh saying they uh uh cosplay left because uh it's very has very uh has a lot of similarities with berserk is as far as like of as far as the uh just stark uh uh starkness and the violence and the oh and it's beautifully animated. Oh, the way this kid moves is is is everything. But yeah, Venon Saga season two, cannot wait for that. And also uh we mentioned it a little shortly earlier, but Chainsaw Man supposed to be uh you know, really, really dark, really gritty. Uh supposed and uh and I think like and I think Chainsaw Man get gets everybody in just just with the uh you know it's just like oh it's the new like you know uh new Sanean or Dark Shonen or whatever section you want to put it in. But then like but I think the world um and the characters and the story like go in uh a lot of exciting and interesting uh uh directions and angles. Yeah. So yeah, those are those are mine.

Okay. All right, let me go ahead and finish this list of anticipated anime. Uh so um dawn of the witch seems like it's gonna be an amazing anime. I I looked into a little bit of its uh review, uh seems like an anime, you know, you always love you know isekai's. Uh I feel like there's like Isekai's and then rebirth animes, where you know, it's still within the same world, but kind of like we're talking about reincarnations, things of that nature. Um still, you know, one person from one place to another. Um uh, but you know, this uh the one this one's about an individual who, you know, is a magic student with no memories of their life before. And then once they, you know, go on this special training trip with their teammates, all of a sudden their memories start coming back because they interacted with this uh blonde mysterious woman in an alley. Uh so it seems to be that which is the blonde mysterious woman, but you know, you all you can do is guess based off of images. Um, another one I'm excited for, Skeleton Knight in Another World. Uh, I've I've seen several trailers about this. I've heard a lot of people talk about this in terms of like videos. Um, so this one should be dope. Um it seems very similar to uh not similar in the sense of like Leodell, where she was playing, or you know, as SAO, where they're playing, you know, a uh VR or MMO or some type of game, and then they're transported into the world in which they the of the game that they were playing. Uh so of course he was wearing some type of suit of uh skeletal suit of armor, uh similar to Overlord, um, and he awakens uh as his identity from the game. So that should be interesting, uh, which is also very similar to uh she proclaims herself the uh uh one of the guardian's um pupils. Uh but the problem with that one is she was one of the guardians and she changed her outfit like right before the game like absorbed her. So she went from like this 80-year-old Merlin-esque uh Dan Bliff type of, oh, actually her name was Dan Bliff. Um uh I meant to say um Dumbledore type of mage into this like shibby at least 16-year-old uh uh uh sexualized creature um that uh everybody you know sexualizes. Anyway, um also coming can't communicate is coming out with a second season and uh it starts this spring. I think it's coming out this week, actually, hopefully. Um but don't quote me on that because I I don't believe I have the date in front of me. Do I? I don't. Um also uh I'm quitting uh heroing. This one seems a little bit interesting. Um, pretty much you have a strongest hero who saves the world, uh, decides he wants a uh peaceful human life. Um so he's exiled, he seeks a job at the Demon King's army, uh, where he says because he defeated them, he needs to rebuild their army, which you would think that's not really a simple life. Um, and then all the things that come across there. So it seems like now he's fighting for the other side. Um uh also, oh, there's like two more. Sorry. Uh, what was the other one? Uh for those who like Madoka Magica, she's coming out for another season. Well, they are coming out with another season. Um, also, oh, RPG real estate. I am so excited for this. I don't know why. It's probably because I loved the dragon who was looking for his house anime, but literally it's in my because a mage who ends up working at a real estate agent, uh, real estate agency in a fantasy world. Um, and they like they have various clients from a necromancer to a guild receptionist, grazing a pegasus. Like, I'm I'm so alive, I'm so excited. Like, I I love, I don't know. The if real estate anime starts to become a thing, I'm I'm sold. Um uh The Executioner and Her Way of Life. I think this might be maybe a Kaze Shinriu type of anime. Um maybe we'll see what happens. Uh I'll I've said it so you can try and watch it. I I I have recommendations for everybody, actually. Uh Healer Girl, uh, this might this might be a doctor uh anime, at least one to like, you know, take some of the uh of the free time that he had that uh that he has. Um uh it's set in a story in a world where like there's three schools of medicine, and the three schools of medicine are Western medicine, eastern medicine, and vocal medicine. So there's this new type of medicine based off of singing, and the story is based off of these three in the uh these four women who are learning vocal medicine and how the other two Eastern and Western philosophies of medicine are telling they ain't shit, and they got to prove themselves to everybody else that vocal medicine is the truth. So, yeah.

Uh only reason why I say that is because it's a kind of reverse. He gets trapped in a dating sim where all the women have all the male roles and the men are supposed to have the submissive roles. So that's kind of why I want to watch it, just to see kind of what the fuck has. That might actually be like a uh, I mean, she normally doesn't like non-sonen, but maybe Miss Gittles will like that anime, perhaps. Of course, we talked about Chill Hero, we talked about uh Demon Lord, uh Greatest Demon Lord being reborn as a typical nobody. I think, of course, uh uh Joe TSG is gonna watch uh the Shin Chan movie that's coming out. Uh that little shit. Say that little word. Um also uh there's um we already talked about Bastard Um and Kakaguri Twin. Uh also there's another one. Uh if you've ever watched Dropkick on My Devil, that's coming out in the summertime as well. Orient, which I was just talking about before, is coming out with a second season in the summertime. So it looks like they're going not back to back, but they're taking like seasonal breaks. Um, of course, of course, of course, that time I got reincarnated as a slime. The movie is coming out in the fall. I'm elated. Now, me and Dr. Quinzel, uh, we watched this. Now, I kept watching this. She she watched it to the end as well, but she wasn't filling the end of the last season. Uh, Ruby W W, sorry, RWBY, uh, coming out next season uh called The Ice Quingdom. Um, I didn't know. Um, so basically, what happened is 17 years ago, uh, the main character's uncle fell into a coma. Uh, but now he's risen from the grave or come back from the coma. Um, and he found out, and the main character found out two bizarre things about his uncle. Uh, one is that his uncle treasures now treasures video games above all else. But also, while he was comatose, he was actually transported to another world as a hero guardian. So, on this concept, they've now done the inverse. So that it is technically an inverse.
