Hello everyone! So, first of uh hopefully many videos that we do as uh reactions to wrestling events, but of course, right now this is the 100% reaction to the spectacle, the uh showcase of the immortals, the show of shows, the the most stupendous uh WrestleMania of all time. Uh Wrestle Wow uh WrestleMania 38. Uh this April uh 2nd and 3rd uh 2022. Um we just finished watching night two. I'm sorry, we just finished watching night one, sorry. Uh, and it was it was a phenomenal night uh of all of the different matches. We just want to give our you know, not review, more so our feedback, our reactions to everything that took place. Uh don't don't mind the seven up cake and the uh and the tostitas. Uh so um of course I have with me uh you may know him by many names. I call him, you know, Bowser, Brandon, Kaze Shinryu, all of the above. Um, or I can I can be known as Jacob or Suchino Shogun. Uh right now I'm of course rocking the man, but that's not who I was rocking tonight. I was definitely rocking my girl. Uh uh came out with Texas Southern University Proud, Miss Bianca Bel Air. Uh uh came out dipping it and doing it and doing it well. And doing it. Um, everything about this match, uh, I was heavily anticipated. One thing you'll know about us as we do these reviews is I'm a consistent uh uh wrestling watcher. I watch it every single week, even if I have to work, I'll still catch it the following day. Um, Kaze uh uh will watch it predominantly pay-per-views. Uh, if he can, he'll slip in a couple episodes during the week. Um but I majority try to fill him in right before uh a monumental event happens. So, but of course, if you're a wrestling fan as well, you know you can watch either the kickoff show or you know the beautiful cinematography of a package that they give you before every match, and you'll pretty much then there'd be caught up. You really don't need to, you know, do anything else unless you notice some shit that goes on, and those are the things you gotta tell your friends. So, um, not not that it was the first match, but I I I've already started talking about it, so I'm definitely gonna keep going. Uh, the raw women's championship match, Becky Lynch, Raw Women's Champion versus Bianca Belair, the challenger. Um, this was a build-up uh of several weeks. Um, I knew it was gonna be lit when uh about a couple two two weeks ago, if I'm not wrong. Uh well, actually it was like last week, uh uh Becky caught herself trying to cut Bianca's hair. Um now, as you can see by our skin tones, we are of a certain persuasion. Uh I myself have a lot of women, uh sisters, and my mother, grandparents, and all type grandmothers, and and female cousins and nieces in my house. The one thing that you won't do, especially if you ain't amongst the brethren, is go or sistering is touch a black woman's hair. Um, Kaze.
SPEAKER_00To even insinuate that like you you gonna you gonna you gonna cut short these these these these magical tresses. Uh especially like when it's like it's your image, like that's your thing. Like you might like you might as well have been like cutting uh Samson's hair. Uh like how dare you make such a such a perfect allegory. Oh my god, you know, and you know, you talking about and you talk about a few weeks. This this was a year in the making.
SPEAKER_02In the making, like this, this build up it was, of course, uh, if you're following along, you know, last WrestleMania, she had won the SmackDown Women's Championship against Sasha uh from Sasha Banks, and you know, it it was and that was a build. Like that was that wasn't like an easy, easy, easy fight. Like she had just won the Royal Rumble last year, made it all the way to WrestleMania, fought and beat uh uh uh uh Sasha Banks at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women's Championship. Then then then the it was beginning the year of the EST. We got the SB Awards, best match of all, uh best sports entertainment match. Uh uh, we had different championship defenses, we had, you know, all these these different uh Good Morning America, all these different spots on magazines, all types of things. She was doing it well. And here comes SummerSlam. Sasha was Sasha, we were building up this rematch. Sasha was, you know, at first it was like woman camaraderie. Sasha was like, yeah, but then all of a sudden Sasha was like, but you know what? I haven't heard you once thank me. I was like, bitch, Bianca thanked you a whole bunch. Bianca wrote a whole five-page letter, four-page letter in her Instagram thanking you about all this shit that went down. And then all of a sudden, Sasha would have disappeared. And guess who the fuck showed up? Becky Lynch Summersled. I don't even talk about it. All I'm gonna say is 26 seconds. Um, because even Bianca's tired of talking about it, so I ain't gonna keep talking about it. Um unless you wanted to talk about it.
SPEAKER_00I'll put I'll put in my two cents. Uh I saw, I saw what they was, I saw what they was doing. I saw what they was setting up because Bianca is the is the EST, but they were definitely working in that she was green. And and like, and and I don't I know and I remember it was either because I I didn't see it live, but I saw I saw the replay, and it was either like a week or two before WrestleMania, and Sasha went to go shake Bianca's hand, and she got and she got put into was that double knee move or the backstaber into uh uh backstab. Yeah, yeah. Like, and it was like okay, that's you're still doing that. Yes. WrestleMania is around the corner, and you are still trusting that was oh, you mean before she beat Sasha? I don't remember when it took place. I just remember what happened close to WrestleMania, and it was even part of the promo. Yeah, you're right, you're right. Yeah, like so it was kind of like like this is still part of your character. You are still trusting these ain't shit. Yeah, the like scratching, fucking fighting, like tooth and nail ass bitches, and like, you know, and you still trying to be like real, like, you know, good and trusting, and da-da, you know, and that's cool if you can keep it, keep it going. Yeah, yeah, like if you can if you can keep yourself and then win anyway, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But like, like, like there's only one room for one Naomi in the WWE. Um that's all I'm gonna say about that. Uh, and and and and that's honestly, I agree, and that's what made the 26 seconds sting so much because like legitimately she was waiting for Sasha. We I I I saw on Twitter, I think they were like, We're not sure if Sasha's gonna be there, and then all of a sudden I hear Becky's music. I'm like, don't you got a whole baby backstage? What you doing? Like, I thought you were here to support uh uh uh Seth. What you what what was going on? And then she comes out and uh you know, like you said, trusting trust trust in these people. I'm not gonna use that word yet, but trusting these people, and you know, the the the the man handle slam, as they say, and then one, two, three, and I'm like, huh, and then and then for the next six months, ducking and dodging and cheating, and like I was actually thinking about it during the match. I was like, wait a minute, didn't she fight uh Bianca? But nope, she fought Bianca, and then she unwrapped the turnbuckle, ponytailed her into the turnbuckle, and then pinned ah, and I think that was actually on raw, if I'm not wrong.
SPEAKER_00Just just every single one of the matches was was made as short as possible. She did not, she did not want that work. Uh but at the same time, be Bianca, all all the tricks were it was all the tricks work. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's like why would you not do it? Why wouldn't you? So, but anyway, we're we're we're we're telling the whole damn story, so we're talking about WrestleMania. So fast forward, I mean it's because of Bianca. Uh fast forward, of course, to the last couple of weeks. Uh uh, shoot, as we said, uh somebody came to the ring with scissors and it wasn't Bianca Belair. Bianca Belair was minding her business, you know, responding. She does. Because, you know, somebody, you know, you know, hit her with the the threw her into uh uh the turnbuckle or the uh corner of a chair, you know, high, uh, high high highway bone bone, I'm sorry, injury. So she was out for about a week, came back, and she was like, see, I was only out for a week. I'm still here. You still mad, duh. And so she came back ready to do what she got to do. Then of course, Beggie came out with some scissors, acting like she's about to cut off a ponytail because she got whipped. We're not gonna talk about that. Oh, I knew he was gonna go. But um, uh, so you know, and and and the reverse happened. You know, she uh uh Bianca definitely was upset. She's like, don't touch my hair. And he tried to cut it, you even try to symbolize cutting it, took the scissors, started just just just trimming a bunch of off the top. That was his hand, just hair going everywhere. And uh, you know, a couple of words were exchanged. Uh then here we come to WrestleMania, finally, you know, we talk about it. Uh night one, uh, and we're like, oh, you know, and I heard at the beginning at the top of the show, the kickoff, uh Jerry King Lawler is like, oh snap, I saw Becky backstage, and she looks like a completely different person.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, what the hell is she gonna come out looking like?
SPEAKER_02And and Kaze happened to see it.
SPEAKER_00I think you said you saw it on somebody's post or Instagram or uh yeah, I'm I either I saw it or someone described it, but uh yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Just some type of clip. And I was like, no, no, no, don't tell me. I wanna wanna, you know, one a part of WrestleMania is the spectacle. It's about the the overarching imagery of these superstars coming out with these fantastic over-the-top opening sequences. So I was like, you know, Becky ain't gonna disappoint, she's gonna try to do something. It's about being in the moment. Being in the moment, 100%. And she just got her trim not even five days ago. So she had to she had to do something. And when she came out, I I you I said as she got out of Sasha's SUV, um, she loaned her, obviously. Obviously. Um, even though Sasha's a black, but you know, she had an extra white one. Uh, but she gets out, you know, to her to you know, her little uh uh rock uh Hollywood rock level package before she came out. Don't think I didn't notice. Um and you know, she's rocking the I said, uh the Haley from Paramore. Um I said I thought it was, you know, uh Haley from uh Paramore walking down to the ring with her her uh her new haircut, her shades, uh, and you yeah, it was a hundred percent giving uh misery business.
SPEAKER_00Um uh I mean it was half it was it was half misery business, uh half uh Furiosa, Fury Road, um, you know, Mad Max, you know, if you hip, you hip. Um yeah, you're gonna have half of both of those. Maybe one of the characters from that uh from that pink video, the boxing one.
SPEAKER_01I'm trying to say the name of this.
SPEAKER_02You and your hand, that one? Yeah. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was Bianca's hands.
SPEAKER_02Oh definitely heard Bianca's hands.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Um so it was it was um and then of course, uh, real quick, Bianca. I said it at the top, but I'm gonna say it again. Black excellence. Texas Southern University came out with the marching band. Like, and like I was I was like, I'm expecting I'm expecting something. Yeah. Because if she came out last year, you know, she had she had the I'm black and I'm proud, you know, cape out. I was like, we doing it.
SPEAKER_00But this, yeah, like Yeah, we knew she had to step it up. She had this, I didn't see this. Where what direction she goes? Where is it going? And then like, you know, it's it's gonna be grand, but she gonna put her, she's gonna put that stain on it. Stank! So it's like we're we're we're gonna go. Letting all the stank out. Yes.
SPEAKER_02And and when and and and I'm just gonna say you can tell, you can ask any black person who was in the audience, because I was looking at them as the camera was looking at them, and as soon as, because then you know the the the marching band was getting it in, and as soon as Bianca's music hit and the marching band jumped in. I need that track. Somebody find that for me. Because I don't want, no offense, uh Corey Graves, but I don't want your voice on the track that I listen to on a daily, because I need that track. That that that entire shit was so ill, so lit.
SPEAKER_00And that's and that's precisely what I was waiting for. I was I I needed, I I I was thinking that they were gonna skip the intro music and they was just gonna transition into a band version of her intro, but but they but they combined it, and I was like, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, we're here. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like it was like, it was like it was like Beyonce Coachella, like that integration of the marching band with the with the track and the music, and it was just and then she came out as the as the as the as the as the uh parade leader, like oh my god. She might as well have been the way she was her entire ponytail was directing us down the damn ramp. Like and y'all know she makes her own outfit, so you know she made that joint. Yep, in the in the lip, in the in the lipstick in the fur.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, no, she was she she was doing the damn thing. Anywho, we've been talking about the intro, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's talking about the match. The match itself, um, it I one of the things I was telling uh uh Kaze is that in this match, we already know the Bianca Belair is the fastest, the toughest, the roughest, the strongest, the best, right? Quickest, the swiftest, all the EST. And the expectation is that, you know, she can lift uh we already saw her lift uh Dewdrop. So lifting Otis. We already saw her lifting Otis. Uh we almost saw her lifting Nia Jax, but we all we know what happened with that. Um so we already know Becky ain't nothing, you know, in terms of weight. Um weight. Um but and so you know, you got the strip speed, we got the strength, we got the the in-ring. She's learned so much over the years, coming from NXT till now. So it's like, oh, she's about to, you know, it's about to be quit. Quick and easy, one and done. And you know, Kaza was like, you know, there there has to be, there should be no reason why there's a back and forth. But I was like, ugh. Like you said, she's still believing that these chicks is good people. Even though she avoided the first Okie doke and got hit by the second one. And the second Okie doke, which turned into the man handle slam, brought her from, and I was saying, I was like, you know, I was I was watching WrestleMania as uh as a video game. Like literally, you know, they was rep in 2K22. I watched it like it was 2K22. Like, imagine uh um uh uh Becky is on you know big time Hollywood status, so she's a big level, you know, character in the game, maybe the boss at the end of a victory road or whatever, and she has the ability to walk down to the ring and already have a special locked and loaded to hit you with. That's literally, in my opinion, what happened. Like, she got in the ring, uh uh, you know, the handshake, she dodged the first one, she hit her with the second one, and that started her. That was the uh that was the taunt for the alt or the special, sorry, hit her with the manhandle slam. Of course, Bianca kicked out, but her her life or her health dropped from full down to at least 50-60% in that moment. So at that point, it was an uphill battle. Every move, every technique, every counter, everything was nothing but her trying to climb back up to the point where she could actually fight against and beat uh Becky Lynch.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and every time she she started to gain like an inch of momentum, Becky kicked her in the knee. And I mean, I mean that's where you kick the stop at that.
SPEAKER_03No, you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_00But um, so it you know, so it was it was it was uh it was interesting. They they they they they put on the match they had to put on to make it interesting. Cause like because like we said, Becky obviously ain't about to out out Russell. And honestly, and the uh one of one one of the one one of my biggest disappointments with with Becky coming back and knowing what she did was like we did we didn't know who Becky was gonna be, but when she came back as she did and playing the character she had to be to do what she had to do to Bianca, her like like the the like that that was pretty much the man dying. Like all that like momentum she had built up like as an underdog and as a favorite, and and that was part of the storyline too. Like all because all all her people was beyond Bianca now. Yeah, and she was she was mad. It's everybody the man wouldn't have been able to to beat to beat the beat Bianca, but like all the heart she had, all the fights she had, all that's gone.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00Uh like you know, all she has is now she's a veteran, now she's like uh now she's stuck in the you know, stuck in the past, but she but she knows what she's doing. Uh, you know, she's she's holding she she she's like bitterly holding on to what she never lost. Yeah. Uh she lord knows she kept saying that. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Nobody's paid me for my championship in three years. So I'm like you pushed out of the I was like, you gave it to Oscar. Who I haven't seen yet.
SPEAKER_00She better be back on Monday. But anywho, go ahead. Um, so like so, you know, so I was like, I was literally like mourning the loss of the old Becky because like because she had to become this this new character. Um and I would love to see that that match, because like because the old Becky may be a, you know, like she gets to like you know, she gets to like dig deep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And like and just like really like try hard and like actually give a fuck about this title versus versus just you know assume she deserves it. And like, you know, it would I think I think it just would have been a more you know interesting like match to see. Like, you know, maybe maybe you know, maybe we would have saw like some, you know, some like illegal shit or just you know, see like we would have got to see her uh her paramo hair get all fucked up. Wow. And like, you know, and the eyeshadow and eyeshadow running. And but uh, you know, seeing seeing those two characters meet would have been lovely, but that's not that's not that's not who we got. And it's fine. She became the person she had to be so so Bianca can go up the go through the trials and tribulation she had to go through. Yeah. Um yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like that line that Bianca gave when she finally won the elimination chamber and got the ability to go back and face a Becky at WrestleMania. She was like, Look, you're you're just mad that all of your accomplishments that you keep talking about, I did it in a quarter of the time.
SPEAKER_00And that's why you're mad. You know, I love when they pay attention to the numbers. Oh, the numbers when you bring up the data. Ooh, the data! Oh we got empirical evidence. Ooh, yeah!
SPEAKER_01Because it's and it's it's so good.
SPEAKER_02It feels so good. Because I and like I agree with you. Like, the the sad part is I like I liked the change in Becky, and the reason why I liked it is because it reminded me of the change that The Rock had during Hollywood rock. Like when he went from the People's Champion and then started doing Walking Tall and all the movies that he was doing Scorpion King and everything else. Like, it's the it's it's not the same, because obviously, like if you if you want to compare storylines, like Becky did what The Rock did in half, maybe a third of the time. Because when The Rock left to do movies, it was like months to almost a year at a time. Becky went, you know, and had a baby for nine months and then also was on uh maternity leave. So she's gone for an entire year and more, like the pretty much the entire the the last part of the COVID, the what did they call it? The um something dome. Oh crap, the Thunderdome. She left for the rest of the Thunderdome era after that WrestleMania uh money in the bank, and then uh uh uh and then you know, had the baby, baby's at home, chilling, da da da, and then finally came back. So she missed all that time. So let's say on the same parallel, you know, The Rock left, went all did all these movies. When he came back, you know. Niggas wasn't fucking with the rug. Not even they weren't. I'm not gonna say not immediately. They were not fucking with him. They were booing him. They were like, You left, we don't like it. You supposed to be here forever. And the same thing. Becky left. And even though obviously Becky's she had a baby, um, niggas were still not fucking with it. Like, and and it's and it's literally what she said. It was, I left and I came back, and I expected you all to like straight up like Effie, you were supposed to love me. Like, that's what it was. And when she came back into the ring and she pinned Bianca at SummerSlam, and she was talking to the, I remember we just saw the back, and she was talking to the uh guy in the front row and said, Oh, you're are you mad? You should be. And like, literally, like hilarious.
SPEAKER_00Like, I think I think that there I think the difference between those two was uh when the rock when the rock came back, the uh they were they people were angry because he he betrayed them because he was he was the people's chat. Whereas Becky came back and they were indifferent until she did what she did to Bianca. Yes, yes, which her people became Bianca's people. Yeah. Yeah. Like matter of fact, when Becky came out, they were sure they popped off.
SPEAKER_02They popped. You're right. Yeah. And if it was a slopper knocker, like a well, I mean, I don't think that would have happened, but if it was an actual legitimate, like Sasha did Bianca in in WrestleMania, if it was something like that. And even not saying that they would have still been okay with Becky winning that match, but if it went back and forth and even Becky won that, it still would have been on positive terms. But the not only did she beat her, she beat her. That, and I it's actually funny. I'm not gonna go, I'm not gonna break the fourth wall. Anyway, um yeah, no. Uh so circling back to the match itself, uh, it was amazing to watch each and every iteration. Because we're like, we're watching the evolution of, like I said, Bianca climbing this ladder, climbing this mountain, getting back to the same pace. The last minute of this match, after that's probably more than that, but after Bianca's outside the ring, and you know, she's about to be like after the manhandle slam until the steel steps, and she's outside the ring, the rep is counting, and when I tell you, like, like like a surge of electricity through her body shocked her in her spirit, let her slide into the ring, and then the oh my god.
SPEAKER_00When I say I didn't believe, when I when I was like, yo, WWE is gonna let Bianca go out with a whimper on a count out.
SPEAKER_02Oh, like y'all, like this is how they they did it, like she she they whatever the timing was, that the rep was about to it was saying 10. Uh yeah when she got it to the ring. Yeah. Like that, woo!
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like like the camera was but was it wasn't even really on her. It was not when she because they because they was just like picked, they was just going back to the ring because like obviously this bitch about to look. Yeah, they were like, let's celebrate Becky. We don't believe it either. Uh yeah, and then she like jumped in there and I was like, girl, I don't know if you was being dramatic. I don't know if you already lost. Yeah, but yeah, I'm glad this second win uh kicked in when it did. Oh, you remember where the fuck she was.
SPEAKER_02And and then that final sequence into like first off, I need uh whoever's gonna be on commentary, I'm gonna need you to call it the glam slam. Um, unless unless Bianca's gonna name it something, we know it's the glam slam. Y'all know it's the glam slam. I get it, Edge is using it because that's his wife, but I'm gonna need y'all to call it the glam slam. I guess she needs permission first, too.
SPEAKER_01Okay, maybe even though you know people were using it and people were calling it the glam slam.
SPEAKER_02But I mean, but but the thing is, I first off, I refuse to believe that uh she doesn't have permission because as a as an NXT watcher, back when uh um um Bianca was in NXT and um Beth Phoenix was doing commentator, comment I'm sorry, she was commentating in NXT, they kept on saying, oh snap, she's doing the glam slam. And and Beth was saying, and she does it wonderfully.
SPEAKER_00So I'm like, Yeah, I mean she ain't gonna say no. But it's just one of those things where people want they want an official either like on Twitter or a physical exchange, like I feel like Bianca.
SPEAKER_02I feel like Bianca wouldn't even do it if she didn't get the blessing. But I get what you're saying. I get what you're saying. Because she wasn't doing it before. Like it wasn't a part of her resume until like the last probably since last year. I think she even did it in the match against Seattle Sash last year, but don't quote me on that. I have to go back and look. Anyway, so honestly, uh wrap up the match. That final uh uh that final KOD was thunderous. Like it shook the entire ring. One, two, three, Bianca Belair, new raw women's champion. Oh, I'm sorry, spoilers. Um like uh oh, but that wasn't even a spoiler. That wasn't even a prediction. We knew it was going. Uh that was a premonition. It was destiny. Oh my gosh. Anyway, uh, on to the uh one of the next matches. Um, I think the first match, of course, was the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Uh, that was the Usos versus Shinsuke, Nakamura, and Rick Boogs. This, I was excited about this more so because I wanted to have like another tag team go up against the Usos and give them, you know, a little bit of a go. Because you know, every time we see some goal with the Usos is always against the new day. Um so you know, seeing another tag team, a newly, I mean they've been together for almost a year, but you know, just a uh two people being put together. Um, it was interesting. And I really thought, you know, with the strength of Rick Boogs, with the you know, the strong style from Shinsuke, they was actually gonna give him some goal. But of course, uh, if you were watching, you saw what happened to Rick Boogs when he tried to lift two oosos, uh, one oos too many.
SPEAKER_00Um uh, all right, so I'm gonna I'm I'm gonna tell you what I'm gonna tell you what I saw from the match, right? So I I was uh the match started and I was like you know and I ran into the kitchen, you know. I was getting I was getting my jungle juice together. Oh my god. Um and and then I uh you know I got everything mixed and and good, and I'm like, cool, cool, I'm gonna catch the rest of the match. As soon as I came out, I I saw I saw one Uso jump on top the other Uso and both of them was on Rick, and I'm like, oh shit, Rick about the Rick about the gorilla press these niggas. And then and then and then he and his n the knee didn't make it. It was underneath the strain. And he just broke down. Oh, oh, oh. About the breakdown. Oh, oh, and and I was like, oh, I don't think I don't was that supposed to happen. I don't think that was supposed to happen. It was not supposed to.
SPEAKER_02Uh so needless to say, uh, Shinsuke tried his hardest to continue the match. Uh he got a couple kicks in. Uh, I think he even almost got his Kinshasa off. Yeah, no, the match ended, and um, the winners and retainers, uh, because you know you ain't about to fuck up the bloodlines, but not before tomorrow, Sunday, uh, is the SmackDown tag team champions, the Uzos. And if the Uzos can do anything, they can jump somebody. Yeah, yeah, they can. That's the one thing they know how to do. Um, also, uh another match, of course, was uh Drew McIntyre uh versus Happy Corbin with you know Maccott Mouse flop floating around. Uh, you know, Matcab Mouse just won the uh Andre the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal uh last night on uh uh WrestleMania Smackdown. Uh phenomenal uh match, in my opinion, only because of the pseudo buildup. Uh someone says that there wasn't enough buildup. I think there was pseudo buildup because if you think about the long-standing relationship between Happy Corbin, uh Constable Corbin, uh King Corbin, uh Baron Corbin, all the Corbyn's with Drew McIntyre. Like back when they jumped, you know who, uh Mr. Choo Choo uh with uh with Bobby Lashley. Um like a bunch of like a lot of things. Um they have it's been a long-standing relationship. And of course, this whole picking on Drew McIntyre thing that the happy, as they call them, the happy quotes. I don't know why they call them the happy quotes. Uh the happy folks have been doing, you know, pissing off Drew McIntyre, taking a sword. Also, uh Happy Corbin, uh, I I'm not gonna say yet who won, but you're a disrespectful as fuck that you got what you deserve for saying that joke, which wasn't funny. You should have let Mad Cat Moss tell the joke. Yeah, you're disrespectful for telling that joke uh about his mama. You ain't right. Uh I'm not gonna repeat the joke because I'm not getting cut with a sword. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00Um, you know, like we kind of said before, I haven't seen all of the uh build-up, but I've seen most of the major, you know, bumps and moments uh uh leading up to this. Um, you know, I I think I think I think maybe my you know, my maybe my part of my issue was it uh this is this was almost more of a this was like the culmination of like a substory, like it was an ongoing relationship, but it wasn't like one after the other, like so it wasn't it wasn't that it didn't necessarily feel building to me. It was just like, oh, they had an issue here. Nope, they had an issue here. And you know, and and now, you know, and here we was again, like, oh, okay, here they you know, here they go again. You know, it was almost like uh um like like if if uh if New Day and Usos do a thing, I'm not yeah, I I'm I'm I'm not gonna if they're going for a specific story or arc, I'm not gonna line up their entire history and put it behind this story, like, you know, like I mean that's that's always some of it. I've done that's much of it nowadays. But um, but uh but again, if you know if somebody is angry over a specific thing, then I'm you know I'm focusing on this specific thing. Yeah, I'm yeah, I'm focused on this specific. So like, you know, for like for this specific arc, um, I mean, you know, I always enjoy uh uh Corbin as a you know for for for being where he is, he uh he's a great, like I'll always call him a gatekeeper. Like he's uh uh he is not fantastic, but um, but you ain't but you ain't about to go fight these niggas better than me. Uh uh like you know, you ain't, you know, uh I'm uh say I'm gonna I'm gonna cheat you. Uh I'm stronger than you. Uh I'm a I'm a I'm uh you know I seen I saw I've seen your special move, I'm gonna get out of it, uh I'm gonna jump you, I'm gonna like every, you know, he he is a big ass opportunist. And most in most in most and most heavyweights don't get to be an opportunist. And and and and getting getting to my issue, this this man has two of the best you know finishers slash special moves in the business. Um and and I and I personally was pretty invested in the uh end of days.
SPEAKER_02I you have and it's it's interesting because as you say, you you're not you you're you're you're not fond of Corbin, but you are what's the word? You are you you you do find enjoyment in watching Corbin be the gatekeeper that he is.
SPEAKER_00No, I definitely I I mean I uh what is it? I'm not in love with any one of his characters or or like promo work or anything like that, but but I love his I love his place, I love his function as a you know as a as a character and as an archetype in a in a match, um, and just and just and just being a dick in a hill. He is he is good at it. He's good at it. Um that Kurt Angle arc was He will not let us forget about it, will you? Like, you know, and he is really good at like choosing choosing his like targets. Like when he's uh well like when he's when he when he's talking with uh Drew, he's he's shifty. Yeah, uh it's sneak attacks, yeah. It's uh yeah, like he knows exactly who he's dealing with. When when when it's somebody he sees is below him, yeah, he's a bully. He is aggressive, yeah. He's in the face, he's talking. Yeah, I mean he's talking shit regardless. But if he's talking shit against somebody who he knows he can do something to him, he's watching his back. Oh yeah. Not in the ring with them, he's outside the ring, but yeah. Yeah, so you know, so again, he knows you know who he knows he's fucking with. Um and you know, and usually you usually don't get that type of uh oh god, what's the word? Um self-awareness. You don't get that kind of self-awareness in uh in a character or a wrestler all the time. So, you know, so I pre I appreciate him for the he he did he did his job well similar to Seth, but um he he does his role well and and and the end days is gorgeous and it never been kicked out before. And yeah.
SPEAKER_02The deep six is also pretty. It's one of the both of those moves are one of the two of the most are the two of the most prettiest moves um that like I would easily anytime I had a character make sure I had the deep six and the end of days placed on them. Just because it's from an Irish whip to standing to a kip up, any way you can do it, you can get somebody into both of those moves. And it's just gorgeous. Um and so yes, the end of days had not had not been kicked out. Um, it it literally was one of uh uh Happy Corbin now's uh claim the fame's since he joined WWE from being a uh football player. He you know, he got his moves. He was an NXT originally before, uh, but since he'd been called up to the main roster, the and actually I don't even think an NXT had it been kicked out of. Um and it I think he even said in an interview, he said that he would prefer for over losing a championship versus somebody kicking out of the end of days, he would prefer no one kicking out of the end of days. I think it was getting a championship. Oh, Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_00Like versus him never having a championship ever. Wow, or keeping end of days pure. Wow. He would rather have end of days.
SPEAKER_02And um, well, uh, and it's it's interesting. We've had several conversations uh uh tonight about Drew McIntyre and his um mysticism, his uh how mystical he is. Um but and we'll go into that probably later, but with uh Barringor, I'm just gonna just rip off the band-aid. So the end of days has been kicked out of by Drew McIntyre. I made that, and like I said, maybe in another video we'll talk about the mystical powers of the uh cycle Scotsman. Um but uh uh the match happened. Uh he hit him with the I was I was waiting for it. I was like, okay, we haven't seen a claymore, here comes that end of days. I think he even hit him with the claymore, and uh I think Mad Cat Mouse pulled him out of the ring, so he didn't get to pin him, but hit him with the hit him with the deep six, then hit him with the end of days. He was like, one, two, what?
SPEAKER_00And I wasn't surprised. I was like, Why weren't you surprised? No, no, no. I was I was like, Drew needs to beat him before he pulls end of days out. You did say that, yeah. Because it wasn't, it's not the wrong person. Yeah, it was it just didn't feel like the right time. Right time, right? Right. So it was like, so I was like, okay, so so Baron just needs to lose, yeah, like he usually does before he even pulls it out, and then it's still safe. Yeah, but then he did it, and I was like, oh no.
SPEAKER_02Right. I was like, the match has gotta be over, it has to end. Because it's not like he hasn't beaten Drew McIntyre before, but for that to happen, um, and I was saying he did say something bad about his mama. I'm just I gotta throw that in there. You know, you just can't talk about somebody's mama who ain't on this planet no more. Um, it's just the way he did. I'm not gonna tell the joke. I'm not gonna tell the joke. I don't talk about people's mamas, I just don't. Uh disrespectful.
SPEAKER_00It was. I mean, so yeah, again, that was even more reason. Yeah. Why he was shouldn't have done that today. Like if it was if it was if it was like a borderline squash match because he talked about his mama. Yeah. Well, I mean, not at WrestleMania. You ain't about to have a squash match at WrestleMania. That's that's a couple million dollars. You ain't gonna do that.
SPEAKER_01Has Baron been uh yeah, he's been in WrestleMania before. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02All of his characters have officially now. So yeah, yeah. Because his first character was at WrestleMania. That's how you won. He I don't forget which number he is, one, two, or three or four. Uh the Al Andre the giant Memorial Battle Royale winner. Um, but yeah, no, I agree. Uh I wrong timing. I don't think now, because there was no stakes. There was no uh it didn't seem like there was a reason why it needed to be.
SPEAKER_00If they did the if they if they had did the crown the match against Shinsuke? Uh that I mean with the story. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, with Drew Yeah, trying to get the crown. No, yeah, and they they had to modify it because Drew wouldn't have stole it.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. I mean, he didn't have to steal it. It could have been just as simple as him winning the crown from him. Like he called talk-ish about him, and he said the thing about his mama, and he had the sword, and maybe it was like even a sword versus crown match. And it's like, you win, you get the sword. No, he'll say, I went, I get your sword, it's your beloved sword. And he says, Okay, well, if you win, I get the crown, and I become King Drew, King McIntyre, what have you. King of Scotland, you know. That would be an amazing. That would have been amazing. That's a good story. Um, so let me match that. So that would have been amazing, but they didn't do that. And I mean, yes, WrestleMania is always a good time for unthinkable things to happen, but I agree. The storyline, the buildup wasn't there for something to him as like that was like all he had. Yeah, and if you uh and we were just talking about the fact that he had two things going into this match. One, the fact that he was undefeated since he became Happy Corbin last year, and then two, since he joined the main roster and potentially since NXT, he had not any, no one had ever kicked out of the end of days. So it's just it to me, it's kind of like we we watched this, and if you looked at his reaction, and I don't want to say he's an amazing actor, that man was heartbroken. He was complete I I I was even telling Kazi, I don't think he knew it was gonna happen. I almost think they sprung in on him, and he's like, wait, what? Like, I don't know. But anyway, I don't want to I I don't want to feel bad for Baron Corbin in any way, shape, or form. Sorry, happy Corbin. I'm just gonna say, uh, Drew kicked out at the end of days. Uh eventually Claymore'd him, you know, uh talk less claymore. Um, and uh one, two, three also ended his undefeated streak, and he was uh again hypergame.
SPEAKER_01Oh, oh, and then you know, Drew McIntyre, you know, cut the ropes in half.
SPEAKER_02Like Angela, he's like top two ropes, sliced it right down the middle. Well, maybe not just slightly to the right. But anyway, he cut the ropes. Uh it was kind of dope. Alright, so next, um The Mysterios versus Ms. The Miz and Logan Paul. Now wow. Um so you're talking Rey Mysterio and Dominic Mysterio. Now, Dominic Mysterio, this is his first ever WrestleMania appearance and match. Sorry, appearance and match. Uh sorry, no, no, no, I'm sorry. First ever WrestleMania match, uh specifically match with his father. So this is a huge match for him. Um that came out, you know, with the uh Mexican and Puerto Rican attire. Like it was it was lit. Um and then you know, you got the Miz, who, as as people always say, as much as people hate the Miz, The Miz is the person you can have opposite or alongside of someone who is trying to have a good showing. Like that match with him, uh John Morrison, um uh Damien Priest and Bad Bunny last WrestleMania, the the only reason I you could say I'm right or wrong, whatever. The only reason why Bad Bunny looked as as amazing as he did is not only because he was counterpart of Damian Priest, but because he had somebody like the Miz and John Morrison up against him to make him look that good. Because other people would not have made him look that phenomenal. Yeah, they wouldn't they're not capable of it. They're not they're not. You would they would have to be a lot uh opposite another wrestler, and the Miz is just able to bring that out of celebrities, you know, guests. That's why whenever if you really think about it, over the last several years, anytime they have some type of guest, the Miz is normally opposite them. Um so that it was a good match. Like I didn't expect to be entertained by Logan Paul. Um I I you know if I scrap, I'll let you talk about Logan Paul. Dominic Mysterio put out a showing. I felt like his daddy said, you know what, this is your match, this is your WrestleMania. And I'm not saying that Ray didn't get in the ring, but Dominic put out some like that. We niggas been talking about Dominic Mysterio not deserving to do shit like ever since he got hazed back in the Thunderdome when he first showed up, tied up to the rope. Don't think we forgot. I didn't forget, he didn't forget, and Pepper Sparm didn't forget. Tied to the ropes getting beat by Kendall's dude.
SPEAKER_00I might have forgotten for a second. I remember now.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. But he's come a long way from those days, and the showing he put on is like I'm not a luchador, so I'm not gonna say it's luchador level, but I was thoroughly impressed. I was excited to watch everything he was doing, every single moment of every decision that he made and every action that he was doing. Beautiful. And then, of course, the Miz, who is the receipt on the receiving end of these uh moves, is is intercepting and taking them appropriately. It was an excellently designed match. And then on top of that, and I'll let you talk about blah blah blah.
SPEAKER_00So, uh, you know, not not I ain't about to throw a whole bunch of praise on Logan Paul, but I did see I did see a picture before before WrestleMania started, and I was like, okay, okay, this fit.
SPEAKER_02This fit's doing things. This is mmm. The the fit with the with the with the million billion dollar Pikachu chain.
SPEAKER_00Yes, the that fit. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, like yeah, it was it was it was given uh it was given um ultimate X-Men. It was uh it was definitely like like yeah, and you know, it is usually his dress well, better, better than I think he deserves sometimes. But um He pays good money for it, yeah, yeah, yeah. So let me not talk about it. Exactly. I paid for it. Uh apparently he has good taste. He does, too. So but yeah, no, the drip was like nasty. Yeah, so like so so he so he already started like on a you know on a higher level because I because I was not excited to see Logan fucking Paul. Yep. Um, you know, like he was just like boxing a YouTuber, like like the fuck are you doing back back in the rest of it? Like you were lucky to be here the first time. Yeah, you're right. And they moved you out of the arena. Yeah, they did. So like so the fact that like it was it it was almost like didn't like I saw him like working the match and I was like, wait, are you are you believable? He's believable. Are you like wait? That was good. It was good. Wait a goddamn minute. I was very upset.
SPEAKER_02And again, no offense to Sami Zayn, because when Logan Paul came the last time, he was alongside Sami Zayn. This time, again, like I we just got finished saying about the Miz, the Miz has the ability to make celebrities and certain individuals shine. And being next to, alongside, against, whatever, he and the thing is not like the it's not like the Miz was like holding his hand and walking through the match, but for some unorthodox reason, maybe it's because of our perception of the Miz alongside anybody, everybody next to the Miz looks better. But I don't know what it is because Logan Paul looked good, like yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, because the Miz is charismatic, but he's also annoying. Yeah. So like, so he's so he's so he's compelling, yeah. But also this person sitting next to him isn't annoying you. As annoying.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so just by you you didn't see him prance around as uh Lucha Logan uh last week. No, I did. Oh yeah, when the Miz took uh Ray Mysterious Mask and put it on Logan Paul, and he was he's like, I now introduce to you Lucha Logan. The cringe. The cringe and and and and the reason why I'm not celebrating Logan Paul is the fact that he had the audacity to do the three amigos and think he was gonna shimmy and and do a frog splash off the top rope. You can go fuck yourself.
SPEAKER_00I mean, nope. I'm glad he knows even knows the reference. Unless it was given to him, then fuck you.
SPEAKER_02No, no, he watched wrestling as a child. He said he wanted to be a wrestler or wanted to be in the how and and and we were talking about it because he was like, it seems like that on the first amigo, he he was stalling because he knew we were watching. Because before he even did it, he stared at the camera. They zoomed in on that nigga, he laid down with the with the with the first amigo, and we're like, what is he doing? And then his let and and as I said when it happened, he caucified it because that was a Caucasian amigo. That wasn't even amigo, that was a Pedro. That wasn't a Pedro, that was a Paul, a Logan Paul. He he three-pauled it, is what he did. And I didn't like it. It was not nice, and even the shimmy was tasteless. It was not saltine at all.
SPEAKER_00Go ahead. Uh, yeah, no, that was uh he was definitely he was definitely um missing that um uh some seasoning uh on the move. I'm glad he knows the reference. Uh I don't uh uh I mean you know I'm not I'm I'm not gonna say it and try to decide whether he deserved to do it. I mean he didn't, but uh but uh but you know I'm sitting I'm sitting there at my house and he's at WrestleMania. Also true. So with the billion dollar Pikachu around there, all right. So, you know, he he he had the opportunity to do it. And he took it and he did it. Yeah, no one told him no. Nobody told him no, all right? Or he did it and nobody knew it was coming. Yeah, but it happened. It happened. So here we so here we are. Yeah, so we'll move on from that. But uh, but no, it would he was very technically sound. He was um he was versatile. Yep. Um especially uh even like uh honestly it almost seemed like um Dominic him and Dominic was like one up in each other.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it was like it was a very I was gonna say it seemed like we already I already you know alluded to the fact that this was like Dominic's opportunity, his first WrestleMania match. It was his opportunity to really shine and showcase what he can do with the showcase of the immortals. And again, this is Logan Paul's. Not only first match, but first WrestleMania match. So it's his opportunity to showcase what he's always wanted to do. What you know, a boyhood dream, as everybody always says. So I I I didn't even think of it like that. I think that's an excellent observation that they were literally, especially because they were in the ring with each other for so long. Like, uh I I I felt like that was a great decision on the Miz and Ray Mysterio's part, because you know, Ray easily could have, you know, led Logan Paul around the ring, and the Miz could have easily led, you know, Dominic around the ring. But having Dominic and Logan, the the fresh-faced of the two, of the four rather, uh, go have at it, I think was an excellent idea because it was not because Dominic has come eons from where he was when he first came in. Not saying he was, you know, completely a noob then, but he was very rough around the edges. He was green. He was green. And now he's far from that. And I look who's talking because I'm I'm not a wrestler, but he's far from where he was aesthetically, uh, from my from how I see it. And having him go against Logan Paul to me is like, is that does that mean Dominic is safe and uh capable enough to make Logan Paul look good? Or is Logan Paul good enough in terms of his training to run alongside somebody who is still on their way up? Because for them to look as good as they both did against one another, yeah, that's some good shit.
SPEAKER_00No, no, it definitely, it definitely was. Um and I honestly I think I think the most important thing for Dominic was uh A his confidence, um, B the the the versatility of the moveset. Like like he really dipped into like them them them like lucha roots. Yes. Like like literally like because he would he would literally like do a familiar setup and then and then like slide a hand and do something else. I'm like, oh wait, yeah, wait, what was that? Yeah, and then I'm usually like calling calling you know a movement. I'm like, oh no, what's that one? And so like it was the confidence, it was the versatility of the moves, and it was the aggression. Yes. And I and I'm usually against like this this uh this need for like you don't you you don't you don't have to be aggressive to be competent or powerful or whatever. So I so I would really you know I'm kind of waiting for um certain older individuals to pass on so we can so that concept can die with them. But um it it has its use where where it belongs, and and and seeing that in Dominic is along with the confidence, it would like like he would like he was doing like lucha shit and then chasing niggas. Like how often do you see?
SPEAKER_02You see a lucha to chase somewhere. Oh yeah. You don't he bounces off the rope and it waits in the ring. That's what I see at least. Yeah, so like I agree. I I I I second that because it it showed almost like an evolution of Lucha Libre. Uh well, professional lucha libre, professional entertainment lucha libre. I've got to make sure I make that clear. Because it it was he was getting revenge or vengeance on you know the nigga who took his daddy's mask, the you know, the Miz who pisses everybody off, he's doing all these things on top of it, and then still like you that which means it's like what I always hear about, you know, certain you know, uh um entertainment aspects performan performances. Before you can add your tricks to stuff or you add libs to a song, you have to have the foundations down. Yeah, so to me, like the basics. So that to me that means he has now gotten to the point where the basics are second nature, so now he can add the anger, add the you know, the enhancements, the excitement, the the personality, the the unif the uh uniqueness. Like now I'm not just doing my daddy and uh and A Guerrero's moves. I'm doing my moves or my versions of their moves, my enhancements to the the core of who instilled what I know into me. So yeah, no, no, no, no, phenomenal. Uh but with all that phenomenalness, still the winners of that match was the Miz and Logan Paul, which ended with a twist, which is the Miz um obviously blindsiding Logan Paul.
SPEAKER_00I wasn't surprised, were you surprised? Uh no, I mean I think that goes along with uh what we were saying before. And and one, I mean, first of all, Miz Miz won in the Mizziest way possible, which is he he more or less sacrificed Logan Paul. Did the secret tag, yeah, like and because a lot of people do secret tag and then come in and lose still. That's very true. Like, but but like Miz is like, I hate I I I don't want to like be just be throwing props around, but Miz might might just be like top 10-ish opportunists like of all time. Come on up. Uh like it's uh yeah, because he because he he literally came in. They they had no idea that nigga was conscious at all. That never somebody and like this next thing they knew was it was a skull crushing finale, and then that was the finale.
SPEAKER_02If you weren't even paying attention to yourself as a as a person watching the match, you wouldn't have missed him tagging Logan Paul. Like what about it? I had to ask.
SPEAKER_00I was like, was that time? Yeah, yeah, and I was like, and then I was like, why'd he run away after that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and it was it was excellently done. Like that, the whole thing, and I I as I told Kaze when it happened, I absolutely adored the the lack of awareness, the smile on his face, the fact that when Logan Paul was being put into the skull crushing finale, and it whether he actually didn't know or whether he did know, or I don't know. The fact that he still had a I'm waving to the crowd smile on his face as his face was actually going down into the mat, misfashion.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, misfashion. It was fantastic. Like, I bet you Logan Paul didn't even know that he wasn't the live person anymore. Like, I I think I think he I think he thought like because then they they went to go pin Logan, right? Yep, uh yeah, like like I bet you because he just got the 619, he didn't even save him from the 619. Uh yeah, like so I don't like he wasn't even aware of the at the time of the betrayal. Yep. Like he was already betrayed before the match ended.
SPEAKER_02And before we go on to the next match, I will say that one of the things that, you know, Corey Grave, wait, this is wrong. Yes, Corey Graves, Baron, uh, Baron, Byron Saxton, uh, and and was Jimmy Smith, I think. Sorry, Jim. Um what they kept on saying is the fact that week after week, whenever uh uh Logan Paul was there with the Miz, the Miz would keep getting like beat up by the Mysterial 619, kid, drop kick, all that stuff, and Logan Paul would just stand there. But it was kind of like to me, it was like, well, Logan Paul ain't no damn wrestler. He's you know, he's just doing his best. He doesn't he doesn't do this. So, you know, for him to you know jump in and try to save the Miz, you know, he'd be sacrificing himself if he don't do this on a regular. But to the Miz, it's kind of like ultimately because how many times did John Morrison sacrifice himself to save the Miz? And that's why they were friends for so long. Yeah, yeah. Uh just so you know, sacrificial them constantly. Um, but yes, so next match. Oh, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_00Oh uh uh I was saying um right, it go going back to Miz being this uh uh big brother uh reality. To these uh Hope you peep the real world cast in the audience with a right um to the to these uh to these like celebrities and um and not not real wrestlers now now the Miz and Logan Paul have a story moving on. Yes. That's a from here because of the trailer. So the the setup the setup is just like lawless victory!
SPEAKER_02Like like like you know, you can like you can hate the man, but the game is like W at at WrestleMania still gave you the W, Logan Paul, and now I've got more relevance moving into the future. Yep, it's cool. Easy, easy. Alright, so alright, so uh, of course, the uh I I personally I don't know why they decided to put both women's championship matches in the same night. I thought they could do one on either night, but I don't make the schedule. Smackdown women's championship match. The Queen, the Charlotte Flair, against against what the Rowdy Ronda Rousey. Um this story is allegedly supposed to be a build-up from, of course, their triple threat match with Becky uh was that 2019, I think. Uh, which was supposed to be the first, you know, women's uh uh uh uh wrestle main event WrestleMania match. Um and since then, you know, it's you know, Charlotte has been in the ring with Rhonda, I think one time before, and that was at Evolution, if I'm not wrong, where Charlotte went back shit crazy with the kendo stick and got herself disqualified, so technically they didn't count it as a loss. Um But I was like, it was weird that match particularly because I felt like you know it was actually a really good match. But fast forward until now, um, Rhonda has a lot more in-ring experience. Uh Charlotte is even more of a queen than she was at that time. Like she'd already been uh since then, she's been to NXT, won an NXT championship, women's championship again. Uh she's already, she was a uh uh uh um a women's tag team champion with uh Asuka. She damn near won both championships again since then, and now she's like 15 time, 15 time uh uh uh women's champion, specifically the SmackDown women's champion. And is that that's more than daddy now? No, Daddy's still 16. 16. Um nobody's beaten that yet. Uh people are tied with it, but nobody's beaten it yet. Um John thought he was gonna beat it, but he's tied. And then uh Randy wants to beat it, but I think he's at like, I think, uh he's not I don't think he's at 15. I forget what number he's at, but he's nearly he's near like 13 and 15. I thought he was 14. Yeah, 13 and 14. And I know Triple H is at 14 or 15. Anyway, uh 13-14. Anyway, uh so um, yeah, so you know, Charlotte's in this match, and you know, the build-up the last couple of weeks is the fact that, you know, Charlotte is like, you know, because of course Rhonda won the Royal Rumble, so she gets to pick her champion. At one at one point, it seemed like they were gonna do a storyline of her and Becky, but then they switched that during the course of a week and moved her over to SmackDown, where she was gonna face Charlotte. And then, you know, it's just a slow build. It just seemed like it was gonna be, you know, this is my WrestleMania opponent. But of course, Charlotte had the Charlotte and uh stuck on these hoes, and uh she was like, Yeah, I don't uh I mean I know I have to fight you, but I mean, who are you? Like, you're I don't care if you're Ronda Rousey, uh, which was crazy. Um uh because at first I I really thought it was at first I thought it was gonna be, you know, not necessarily, you know, niceness, but when Charlotte came out with the oh you went home to have a baby. Well, look at my baby, my championship, and it's prettier than yours. Bitch, I thought Rhonda was gonna take her arm right then and there. I I swore it was gonna happen. Um but yeah, it it's it's been nothing. I mean, because you know how Rhonda is. Rhonda's just, you know, bitch here, bitch there. I'll take your arm, I'll bag it in a bag, I'll wrap it up for dinner. Um, and you know, but it's it's it's been Charlotte's excellent mic work and promo work that has moved the story along. Um, and what was really shocking is not only that, the entire buildup, although Rhonda got some shots in, like Charlotte bitched Rhonda out, in my opinion. I think at every turn, every single time that they actually came into contact with one another, other than the couple of times where she like put her in a hold and she like kind of warmed out the ring, like the last three weeks, three and a half weeks, Charlotte has has destroyed, well not destroyed, she has put down Rhonda Rousey. Whether it was the fight outside on the car, put her through the table, had her in a hold in the ring, like she just it was it was like it was it was she was kind of reinforced that you know you're a one-trick pony, all you have is an arm bar and I can get out of there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean I I I think I think going past like her being a one-trick pony, she's still new to the game. Like this is like like like Charlotte's like Queen Cersei from Game of Thrones. Like and and and Rhonda does not know how the game is played. Wow. So all the all the shit Rhonda is talking, she's talking about in the ring. Yeah. Where Charlotte is trying to destroy her emotionally, yeah, physically. Yeah. Like, like if if if if Rhonda wasn't fit to wrestle before the match came up, Charlotte would be perfectly happy. Perfectly fine with her. And she tried. Whereas Rhonda wants a competition. She wants a competition, you're right. Right. So they're not, they're still not playing the same game because Rhonda is still new to this.
SPEAKER_02There's only maybe two people who can play that game with Charlotte. And one is Sasha Banks, who's busy. Um, and then I honestly Becky could at this point, but they already did the Becky Charlotte thing. I personally think that fight could have been better. But I mean, the ending could have been another fight.
SPEAKER_01Um, and then I kind of want to see Bailey come back.
SPEAKER_02I as much as I didn't want her here when she was here, I kind of want to see her come back. Like I really thought she was gonna be the one to fake come back at the Royal Rumble and face uh Charlotte, but we know you healing, girl. You keep living you, you doing you. You still get paid. I see your fake check, you on the roster. Anyway. Um, but no, so uh yeah, they're not playing the same game. Uh it's kind of it's similar to the Becky, uh not Becky, yeah, yeah, Becky Bianca situation. Uh, not the same thing, but similar where you know Bianca's playing the sportsmanship role because you know she's been an athlete her entire life, and Becky is literally she said, I will I will sell my soul, I sold my soul to the devil to keep this championship. And Charlotte's like, I'm the queen. Like, there's nothing I won't do to keep this championship. Nothing like she didn't even have a championship when she was facing uh Ronda at Evolution. She beat that bitch with this kiddo stick. So if she would do that just to not get a one, two, three, yeah, or or get uh tapped out because she you know she refused to tap out. What do you think she's gonna do to retain a championship? So uh and Shonda did not disappoint uh at all. And um, whoo, there was a lot of holds in this match. Uh Rhonda definitely proved that she was not a one-trick pony. She did a lot of submissions.
SPEAKER_00She mixed it, she mixed it up very specifically.
SPEAKER_02Like she, it was like, I'm gonna show you who's a one-trick pony. And matter of fact, I'm a no, matter of fact, I am a pony. I'm an alicorn, bitch. You you I'm a my little pony, yo, bitch ass. You're gonna get all the magic. All my friendship is magic, and my friends are these holes, bitch.
SPEAKER_00I saw that's what she did.
SPEAKER_02I saw where Charlotte was confused because how dare you walk into this conversation like an instructor. So this is why you miss the bar.
SPEAKER_00No, I I can get that. Because as a as a person who plays uh fighting games, uh uh something something somebody will levy at you was like, oh, you keep doing the this you you keep doing the same thing. Yeah. You keep, you know, you keep you keep doing the same tactic. And it's like, and then and then and then they insinuate that you don't have anything else. Yeah, true. And it's like, okay, well, you don't you don't know what I can do. I'm I'm not I'm not I'm not spamming this move. You're you you're spamming failure. You're falling for it. Why why does Rhonda need to dig deeper in her repertoire when everyone loses to the same damn thing three, four moves? Yeah. What four four?
SPEAKER_02One at the time. Does she have more than one?
SPEAKER_00Uh at the time she didn't have more than one. I I'm I'm I'm counting like the totality of her offensive. But I mean, if you think about it, it's the flurry. Oh, okay. It's the it's the furry. Um yeah, it's the it's the it's the it's you know it's the arm over the uh thing that slams it on the bike. And then the Papras pit.
SPEAKER_02And then uh does anybody want to take home a souvenir tonight? Yeah, uh the arm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and and and honestly, and I think what was uh what was really um kind of un understated and and one and probably one of her bigger bigger strengths coming from uh UFC is her um her awareness and her counter game. Yes. She doesn't, she has not been doing, she has not been facing these moves her entire life, but she knows that she's a professional, she knows, she knows how to control her body, she knows how to get out of whatever. She knows she whatever whatever position she's in, she knows how to be more dangerous than you.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00And so again, calling her a one chick phony is is not is is undermining the fact that no matter how you're hurting her, she can probably hurt you more from the same position.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Which I love the fact you brought that up, because that's literally what happened with the figure eight, because they were saying that nobody had gotten out of Charlotte's Figure Eight ever. And not only did uh uh uh uh Rhonda get out of the figure eight, she reversed the figure eight into the reversal of the figure four. And you know, of course, you know, Charlotte's screaming at the top of her lungs. She didn't tap though, I'll give her that. Um, but you know, then you know they got out the ring and everything like that. But you know, she definitely was it was it was a I would have I would love to see like Rhonda against like in in a full-on match like Shayna Baszler or um Asuka, like submission specialist who can you know go tit for tat switching into different positions. Not saying that Charlotte doesn't have you know submissive submissions because she does the core wrestling ones, but not full-on, like across the world submissions. Mixed martial arts. Mixed martial arts, exactly. So, like where you say um she's able to maneuver her body and move into different positions. She 100% did that in that match. Um, but the dirtiest one female player in the game, and like just the look of I know you did not just do that, bitch. At the end of that match that Rhonda had, where Charlotte Flair, still your SmackDown women's champion, is walking in reverse with her championship high in the air. I'm like, damn. She didn't make her type out, which I don't think she'll ever be able to do. Yeah. Um, but damn.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And like, and Rhonda was like back and ready. Like, like she was she was she was only she was only vulnerable to be pinned at that exact moment. Yeah, and then she came too. She was back immediately. She was ready. She could have fought a whole nother match. A whole nother. And she you saw the look of her face, she was ready to go.
SPEAKER_02She was like, oh. But if you saw the uh the way that uh Charlotte was back and away, Charlotte was done. Done for the night. Uh yeah. And and oh, with her belt. And that's the interesting part. Like, I kind of want to know, because the one thing I don't think I've ever seen Charlotte in is an Iron Woman match or Ironman match or an endurance match. Uh, you know, Bailey has been in one, Sasha's been in one, uh, I think Rhea Ripley and um uh and um uh uh Shana Basler were in one.
SPEAKER_01I want to say Bianca might have been in one back in NXT.
SPEAKER_00Um but like not not it wasn't a real Iron Women match, but I think there was uh like that that era last time it was like it was uh it was Charlotte the Man uh and at first Oscar and then it kind of involved the Charlotte the Man and Rhonda. Okay, okay, yeah in that whole era, like there was a lot. If it wasn't an outright um like hardcore no horse bars match, it it the match ended and then the bitches kept on fighting. That's true. That's true. So I think that's the closest we've came. Yeah, like and then that was one of my favorite times for Charlotte because it was literally like she she came in with her hair like perfect. She didn't like in the just the rabbit, the rustle, the crazier her hair gets, the crazier it was literally like yeah, like it was like literally like the it was like she was losing, the more she lost sanity, yes, the more the more her hair like became frizzled and it turned to like a lion's mane. Like it would that was my favorite type like like that that's how in women's wrestling, I was like, so what are you dudes doing? Like, like these bitches got me like like clutching ready on the edge of my teeth. Like, I was like, nigga, you can still move. Like these bitches wanted it so bad. And I was like, and I was so fucking into it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, you're right. You're you're what I'm just right, and like and and and that's the thing, like, even in those matches, you know, three triple threat matches, you know, if while the other two people were fighting, you have a moment to breathe and a moment to recoup yourself. So, like, you know, even in those, you know, you're she 100%. Oh, actually, let me take that back because I was about to say she was taking breaks. From my recollection, although there were times when she could take breaks, every time I saw Charlotte on the camera, she was getting ready to do something else. Yeah, like there were no wasted efforts. She was like, uh um, you know, say somebody threw her out a ring and they started fighting each other. She was looking for a weapon, she was getting ready to attack again, she was plotting, figuring out what she was needed to do next, but she was calculating what's supposed to happen. Some people just I gotta see people collapsed next to the barricade, talking to people in the stands and shit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So playing dead and shit.
SPEAKER_02Playing dead and shit. So, like, it's it's I agree. It's definitely, you know, I was gonna say that, you know, that's not the same, but no, no, no, no. With triple threat matches, Charlotte always, because that that's how Charlotte was like a lot. Well, actually, that's how Charlotte lost her championship for the most part, because she would have to get pinned and be somebody else. But um, like it's it's yeah, I'll agree with that. Like, that definitely was the situation. Um, but but in this particular one, as always, Charlotte Flair, dirtest woman in the game, beat Ronda Rousey. Uh Rhonda, see pretty pissed. So expect something on SmackDown. Um, Ronda would definitely be back. Uh, maybe Asuka. I don't know. Anyway, uh, and then um let me see, we got two more matches. One got moved till tomorrow, or it's speculation is that it's tomorrow, which is the new day, versus Seamus and Rich Holland. Um, we'll see if it happens. It didn't happen tonight, but we'll see. Um so uh we had the phenomenal match. Uh um we had Seth Rollins, uh, who didn't have a way into WrestleMania. Uh he uh tried his best, tried to, you know, get it there as uh one of the tag teams for the Raw Chapter Team Championship. He tried to steal Kevin Owen's way into uh WrestleMania. He tried to steal uh uh um AJ Styles' way into WrestleMania, nothing. Then he got a he you know lost his mind through a temperatant, uh like started fucking up shit around Ring and was like, I'm holding Raw Hosta next week. We ain't going to WrestleMania unless it's through me. And then, you know, you get a text message, whole text message from Facebook Man. Goes to his office Monday morning, and Vince tells him you have a match as WrestleMania against a fighter, uh opponent of my choosing. Uh he's excited, doesn't know who's gonna be, he's like, Who's my chip my uh opponent? Vince says, You will find out when you are in the ring and they call your opponent. So of course, uh Seth Rollins comes out with this uh uh choir singing his O's, uh wearing you know this sequence. Sequence uh no disrespect Naya Jack's collection. How do you leave my Naya alone? Um but no, it really was. Uh it was very revealing. Um I definitely it was very revealing. Um so you know, he's walking down to the ring, get to the ring, he's like, okay, who's my opponent? And you know, there's been speculation for weeks who it could possibly be. We heard that uh um the fiend was potentially coming back because you know he sent out some cryptic text messages. Uh we heard that it could be like one of the Hall of Famers, uh, we heard that it could be someone from NXT. Um, but then of course there was the biggest rumor um that the forbidden door had been opened and somebody from you know WWE's past was returning and they were gonna shock the world with their appearance. Um, but it wasn't that type of shock the world, sorry, CM Punk. Uh it was a different type, and it most certainly was when the music hit, I was like, yo, they did it. Yeah, it was the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
SPEAKER_01Spoiler alert, sorry. Um Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I and I remember when we were when uh when Seth was acting a fool up in Miss Miss McMahon's office, I was like, I was like, all right, so Vince took that way too well. He did. I know, I know he appreciates him some Seth. He does, but not when you step on my desktop. Right, the way the way this man was acting, I was like, this is either this is either a punishment for Seth or this is just an opportunity.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And he was like, you know what, I needed someone to uh to put here and and you and you just nominated yourself.
SPEAKER_02So here we go. Yeah, that's what it happened, because yeah, I and you know, I'm because when when you brought up the punishment, I was like, oh crap, you know, could Braun Strowman be coming back? Could it, you know, be another big person, you have like a big, you know, monster that can, you know, squash him or something like that. But Cody Rhodes. Like that truly, you know, I've I've seen you know, I'm part of a couple Facebook groups. Well, we are part of a couple Facebook uh wrestling groups, and a lot of them, you know, the idea of Cody Rhodes coming back brought the concept of the forbidden door, uh, which is that they may be opening up both NXT, uh uh the main roster run SmackDown to enable other uh um I don't say franchises, um, other shows. Promotion. Promotion, thank you. Other promotions from for allowing their wrestlers to come in. Now, we all know that quite a few WWE uh uh former WWE wrestlers have gone on to other promotions, including, but not limited to Impact, Ring of Honor, obviously AEW being the one of the big ticket ones, New Japan, uh New Japan, and you know AEW being like uh New Japan, Ring of Honor, Impact, that's not an issue, actually. Uh, I believe WWE even has a partnership or even owns Impact. Uh, I mean, we saw Mickey James at the Royal Rumble as the Impact Knockouts champion. Yeah. Uh, so it's not like it couldn't have uh been uh anybody from those promotions. But as we know, AEW has been, you know, there's been you know the whole speculation about the you know revival of the Monday Night Wars and the you know competition between AEW and NXT and you know just you know uh AEW taking every you know wrestler who gets fired from you know during all the firings that's happened in the last couple of years, uh layoffs, as they called them, uh, from WWE, and you know, it was just like bad blood uh almost, but bad blood in terms of speculation. Like nobody other than maybe a couple wrestlers on social media verified whether or not WWE was nervous, scared, worried, or concerned about AEW and its antics or what it does in the Twitter. Because they're too big for that, and and Vince is too old for Twitter. Way too old for Twitter. Well, that's not true because Vince was Vince, he wasn't as bad as Trump, but he was saying some stuff on Twitter. Um But you know, nothing to the effect of you know downplaying AEW or anything like that to a certain degree. Uh but anyway, Cody Rhodes, uh former AEW, everything, because without a in my opinion, Tony Khan has done what he's done, but in my opinion, AEW would not be at where it is, as fast as it got without Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes, Brandy Rhodes, and Jericho, Chris Jericho. Um so for and is is literally what I told uh when he came, well, after that match was over, I was like, Cody Rhodes, because he was one of the founding fathers of AEW, he had the rights to all his shit. So, because don't forget, he all he already had gone to New Japan and a bunch of other promotions, even during AEW, but definitely before. So, and he was the American nightmare there too. So being able to have the rights to your shit and be able to almost like downloading or storing all of your information, your documents on your external hard drive, your flash drive, working off of your external flash drive, and then when you're ready to leave, you unplug it and you move on to the next computer. Literally, that's what he did because he just gave them the flash drive, said don't download anything off it, play it right off that flash drive when I come out, and then hit my likes. And he came out as a fucking American nightmare. Who the goosebumps.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that that the pop off, the the the drip.
SPEAKER_01Oh, the dough I got.
SPEAKER_00Like, oh, like, like I like if I can somehow, if I can someday buy that fucking road with the scale padrons. Oh my god. Oh, it looks so good. And just oh I'm just seeing like and just the and and and just the track of the story, like seeing his like wasted potential in in WWE and then and then him taking the American dream and evolving into the American nightmare uh elsewhere. And and like it was almost it was it's you know, him coming back, it's almost like an I like I told you so.
SPEAKER_02Yes, like cut you off, but I'm like, that's what it was. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like the you know, like you know, all I needed is the space and freedom to to to do to do what I know I was you know good enough to do. And you know, and bring and you know, and bring and bring back the the sp the spoils of his work and just and come back because it's it's only some only so many people get to not I mean almost no one gets to leave WE do stuff and then come back. Yeah but but for WWE to recognize the your your reputation and and and recognize you as being as big as you are. Like it's literally the only people I can think of is like I mean, aside from obvious people like like the obvious people from the WCW big train, of course Hulk was Hulk, yeah, who ain't about to undermine you know Hulk or whatever.
SPEAKER_02But like you okay angle, you know, because several people uh Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, you know, several people left. I mean, granted, they didn't, you know, Bobby uh Brock Lesnar didn't go to another promotion, he went to the UFC, but yeah, you know, other people went to other promotions and still weren't able to come back intact uh because of them keeping their relationship with Vince or you know, just you know, so I think the difference, the huge difference is like Cody Rhodes started a whole nother promotion, a like a competing promotion and was able to come back. And that's why I feel like the the hopeful rumors of the Forbidden Door are true, because if he can do that, then I feel like other people, even if it's for a night, even if it's for a day, even if for a special event, you can have the biggest damn Royal Rumble if you have all the promotions show up for it. Like we had a 50-man one at uh at uh um uh Saudi Arabia, the uh Royal Crown, but you can have a legitimate one anywhere if you just open the door to everybody else. Yeah, but I'm sorry, continue.
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah, no, yeah, I'll yeah, I was gonna bring up uh yeah, yeah, aside from like that, like the old, you know, the that era initial day is is as time goes on, like it's it's very rare that you get to keep like all your reputation, all your kudos, and from like it was like you know, AJ, like AJ Styles like got to come come over as AJ Styles. And like, and he was just as good. Yeah. Um, like, so I don't know what type of contract he signed. I know, I don't know, but like, and then but then it was like the opposite thing for Dan Daniel Bryan, where he was like, he was like a cute, he was huge like in Indies, he was huge online, and like, and then like it then, and then in the WE signed him, they worked the fuck out of him. And he had to like toot the damn bottom yeah, like he had to start as Miz's protege.
SPEAKER_02No disrespect to the Miz, as we were just talking before, but he had to start as the protege to a former uh uh uh reality star.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah. Like in where he's obviously like uh I mean I'm not gonna say he's always like one of the best in the game, but like he's obviously one of the best people to do it. Yep. Like, so so like so so like it was so it's interesting that Cody like just got to come in and be who he is, and like and and and just don't forget he's also legacy. Uh yeah, yeah, and and and that's you know, and that's what this match was. It was almost like a trip down memory lane, right? Like just the the the the the pacing, the moves he did, uh, and you know, and I'll you know we were talking about the story, but like it it it is there's only a handful of people who could have done this match as well as Seth.
SPEAKER_02Oh god, yeah. Uh I don't know the other people. Not after seeing it to the end. Like I know what I was saying during the match, but after seeing it to the end, I don't actually know who could have done that match as well as Seth Rollins did. Whether they practiced before or didn't, like Seth Rollins from the Tras talking to the movesets to the interactions to the selling to the to the the the the the likeness in terms of kind of styles and body types like Seth Rollins versus Cody Rhodes. They always say it's like a dream WrestleMania match. We actually got that match.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know, uh upon a side dream and all that stuff. WrestleMania ended on that we said that if it ended on that match, like today or or tomorrow, I'd have been fine. I don't think I would have I I wouldn't have been upset.
SPEAKER_00Not at all. Not at all. That was that that was like uh like when people like when people are like going like going through like top WrestleMania moments, like that's gonna be like there's a lot of good WrestleMania moments. There's a lot. I would say top 15, top 20.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, top 20. Yeah, yeah. No, no, definitely. It it like the ode to stu uh to Stardust to make Seth laugh in the middle of that. Because when I saw the cart, because like the camera zoomed in on Seth after the person is removed, and then I saw like in a zoomed-in state, uh uh uh Cody Rose do the cartwheel and then dropped with the I dumb I dumb.
SPEAKER_00I didn't even catch it.
SPEAKER_02But I was looking for everything.
SPEAKER_00I was like, oh, what was that card rope?
SPEAKER_02And he was like, that's stardust like to the old the Stardust, to the old the Gold Dust, to the old to Dusty, like the whole match. And and then, you know, of course, Corey Graves and and uh Byron Saxon, you know, bringing up the fact because you know they were part of NXT that uh uh Dusty Rhodes built along with you know Triple H and everyone else. Like the fact that of course Cody is Dusty Rhodes' son, but the fact that Seth was one of the initial, like, don't forget, he was the first NXT champion. So he was literally one of, if not the brainchild and children of Dusty Rhodes within NXT. So you have his like work son versus his home son almost. And you know, not saying their styles are similar, and and that's the weirdest part. Their styles are different, but because of their body types, their their forms, their personalities, they're similar in a weird, not necessarily similar way. I don't know how to put it. Like it just it felt like they were like two keys that were interlocked perfectly watching that match.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, they're both just they're both like not only at the top of their form, but they're both just incredibly versatile. Whereas like where I think Seth is more um it's almost like slide a hand with his character, like where he he like he's so like he's like he's in your face and he's like laughing, he's like ridiculous, but then like he gets he gets in the ring. Matter of fact, after like you know, because like from from from all His promos and all the work he did working up to this, and like you know, and he's like ridiculous coming down to the sequence, and and you know, he's doing all the things, but when the American Nightmare music came on, that switch, this this nigga's face, like the focus, like it he was smiling at first.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I see what y'all, hmm, right? Like he was he was like, Oh no, I need to, I need I need to be on my toes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, right, right. Like he's like, you know, like he's like really like taking in all this, you know, all this shit, but like just the in and again, like when like when one of these people, when one of these guys wrestle, like you know, like even if they even if they with Stardust, it was if if they wrestled, it was Stardust versus Seth Rollins.
SPEAKER_02I'm sorry, Stardust versus the architect. Oh, yeah. When he's part of the shield, if they wrestled. So like nah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so uh, but yeah, just uh but no that both both of them like regular like Seth was the perfect person to go to be in a blank match. Yes. But but but but to bring someone who was also perfect and like you know, just like it when when when someone can like tell a story without saying a word, like because again, there was no there was no possible story for this.
SPEAKER_02We other than the fact that Vince picked the person at the last minute, or picked the I'm sorry, picked the person and was gonna tell him at the last minute. There's literally no story. Yeah, yeah. Like you can, and and even, you know, and I was I was saying during the match I was kind of annoyed, uh, I forget which commentator said it, but they I get it because you don't want to acknowledge AW on the on the mic, but the fact they were kind of saying or alluding to, oh, you know, he hasn't been here in seven years and he hasn't done. I'm like, I get it, he hasn't wrestled for the WWE in seven years, but I need you not to talk like he has not wrestled for the past seven years, like like Stone Cold hasn't wrestled for 19 years. Alright. Don't do that. Don't, don't, don't, oh, he's in great shape. Don't do that.
unknownDon't do that.
SPEAKER_02I I didn't, you could have said anything else. It was unnecessary. It was fragrant insults, in my opinion. Don't do that. Yeah, it was an insult to our intelligence. Completely. You could have kept it. You could have kept it. Even if you were doing it for the kids who don't know what that is, don't do that. It's not necessary. But like, uh again, I agree. Like, there's no way you could have built a story off of this. Like, they did not have a story back then. So there's no way you could have built a story like, oh, seven years later, he's finally gonna know. He didn't even know it was gonna be him. Even if, even if Cody comes tomorrow, uh uh on Monday, sorry, and you know, uh uh uh they want to build a story, you can build it from there because he obviously beat you at WrestleMania. Yeah but and and knowing Seth, Seth has done it before where he's pulled video package footage from you know shit that's happened in the past, where he, you know, he when he brought up the whole thing to Roman, like you've never beaten me in a match. I've beaten you several times. I'm ticking all your championships. Like he built a story and it pissed Roman off in an instant. That's fine, because Seth is known for that. Seth will go find the Stardust outfit. Don't do that.
unknownDon't do that.
SPEAKER_02Because if Seth Rollins goes to Monday Night Rollins in a Seth in a Stardust uniform with face paint on his face, I uh I may have to take off work the next day. Because I'll need to recover from that one. That you can't okay, sorry. Um, but yes, uh as we said, you know, this is a uh this is a technical match. This was a uh story inside uh uh a wordless story based match. This was a I don't know it was never it was narration by battle. Narration, oh that was so good.
SPEAKER_00Um TM.
SPEAKER_02But no, like these two, you know, they're not high, high flyers, but they'll both go off the top rope. They're not heavy, super heavyweights, but they can pick up, they're deceptively strong. They're not, you know, the the matte technicians like a a uh um like you know, they always say, you know, Dolph Ziggler is, you know, a high school and collegiate class wrestler, or like a um Chad Gable, or you know, those individuals who are, you know, more wrestl Greco Roman wrestlers. They're not, you know, tactical, uh, like uh, I mean, I'm probably not gonna say this name again. Well, I'm I'm gonna say the name again. That probably nobody wants me to say Chris Benoit or uh uh um uh damn Demon Linko, you know, on the mat. Uh they're not the biggest strikers, like uh Steve Blackman, you know, throwing out, but like they have a bit and piece up, and you know what's even more than I want to make sure I say, just like I was saying that Cody was, you know, he had the Stardust, he had himself, the American uh Nightmare, he had Gold Dust, he had the dream, uh uh uh uh Dusty. Seth had the Triple H. He had the William Regal, he had like all the people who instilled things in him over time from the from the shield to himself. He had all of that in, like he was the the the pedigree, the the the stop, the like he was pulling out all of those different things that he that he had uh uh formulated over time. Like there was there was I I can say there was moves left unturned because I'm sure there's like they have things that they've been using years, but they hit us with they hit each other with every everything like to to like you know borrow from um uh like Naruto, like these two were they they were like they're in-ring geniuses.
SPEAKER_00Where um like they were they were not they were not masters of any specific specialty, but not not only are you not gonna hit either one of these people with the same move twice, they were uh they they they they are able to in in the moment react and count encounter new shit that they have never seen before. They like the add the the the real-time adaptation of of both of these people.
SPEAKER_02Oh uh I didn't even think of that. Yeah. Like you're talking, like literally, we're just talking about the fact that there's no way they could have prepared, you know, story-wise, prepare for one another. So you're talking about reacting to like it's not like uh Seth Rollins going against Roman Reigns again or going up against Kevin Owens again or going against anybody else on the roster. He's going against somebody who has not been in the company for seven years. He hasn't wrestled with, at least not this, he's never wrestled with this person. Uh the American Dream Cody, uh American Nightmare, sorry, Cody Rhodes, he has never wrestled this person. And just like Cody Rhodes has never wrestled this Seth Rollins. So it's like he's not. So you're talking about two people who have never met each other, and they're, like you said, in-ring geniuses, so they're not going to do the same move twice because they're not going to allow their opponent to find some type of weakness on them. So they're literally reacting, and the fact that there were counters in the match means they were reacting in real time to the stuff that their opponent was doing. Yeah. Top 20. Yeah. That was that was that was gorgeous. It was beautiful. I can't wait till part two, because if they don't do a part two, that's not fair. It's not fair. It's called Backlash for a reason. So we're gonna do a backlash. We might even do that loud. That might be good. Um, okay, so of course, um we'll probably we might even do a whole episode on uh Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. But Cody Rhodes won this match. Um amazing, amazing, amazing, fan ovation, amazing. Uh, but then of course to wrap up the video, the end of night one, the KO show, featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin, was supposed to just be real simple. Kevin Owens making fun of Texas, excuse me, uh, making fun of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Uh, real simple. It was supposed to be, you know, Kevin Owens talks his shit, Stone Cold comes out, Stone Cold stuns him, drinks some beer, pours some beer, stuns him again, drinks another beer, and then leaves.
SPEAKER_01That's what it was supposed to be. And then this motherfucker, Kevin Owens, says, you know what, I don't want to hear your mouth anymore.
SPEAKER_00Um, but I'm I bet you won't throw demands. I'm like, right. And I and I was like, and I'm like, well, I was like, who are you talking to? Like, like fuck, like fuck a script.
SPEAKER_03Fuck a script.
SPEAKER_00Who are you talking to? Like of all the people who was ever wanted to smoke.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Like, like, and you know, you know you're telling the truth when Stone Cold was like, get a guy, get a referee out here. Like, that nigga was already ready. Right. Had to call him catch himself because he forgot what channel he was on. Like he was on Peacock, he ain't on TNN no more. TNT. TNT no more.
SPEAKER_00Like you can't. Stone Stone Cold want Stone Cold wants so much smoke. I was watching WCW one day, and Sid Vicious was was was was talk was talk was talking shit about uh uh uh about like uh you know other other other uh promotions? No, that he I forget what I forget what he said, but he was he was uh he was preferencing Stone Cold directly and like and like he talked the shit and he hit the pause and the and the sh in the surety that I was gonna hear glass break on fucking WCW like it made no sense. No, no, no. I never seen it before. But the the sh the the surety of my heart of hearts and it he knew he knew he was the they put the pause down and I was like oh right, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You ain't finna talk that shit though he probably only watched you lucky so it's like the the the fact that you would actually challenge him. I don't care if he hasn't been in a ring. To his face. Right, because you was you was you was jabba jawing people for weeks. Even even I told Kazi about the little wannabe, he was, you know, cosplaying the Stone Cold Steve Halton two weeks ago, decided to come to the ring and pull the Okie doke. I think it was in Chicago. Woo, you don't want to piss off people in Chicago. They was mad as hell when they did when he did that. Uh but like we said, he challenged him. Of course, Stone Cold was about that life, about that we wanted all the smoke.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh of course it came down to this ATV. Um, and not only was it was it uh it was I think it was no holds far. Or they made it that way, you know, Stone Cold match. We're gonna stop them.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Fuck Stone Cold care about a bell. I'm saying Bell 20 years.
SPEAKER_02You don't remember that shit sound like so, you know, it was it was around the ring, in the audience, in the crowd, on the stage, on the ATV, uh, on the announcement table, through like it was just everywhere. Um it was a good it like it for for for Stone Cross D Bosic for not being in a ring in 19 years, not being in a fight in 19 years. Last time he was in a fight was when he lost to the rock, one, two, three, after three rock bottoms, and then left. Um and never like he was there. Like, like I said, he was, you know. Broken skull sessions, broken skull sessions, playing a banjo with Kurt Angle. Like, he was around, but in terms of a match, he was done, done so. So the fact that, and you made an excellent point at the end of the match, he decided to, or he was given the opportunity to end it on his terms. Yeah, have one last match in Texas, and I guess I'll just go ahead and say, and get the W. Like, end it on a W his way, however, he wanted to do it. And because you you just knew. Because at first, you're like, what is Stone Cold about? Like, I like it's the same thing I said about um uh Becky Lynch kind of being on that Hollywood status, like having that ultimate at the end of at the start of the match, and having more uh HP and defense. Because like Stone Cold was like, like he uh uh uh uh Kevin Holmes would throw him into the barricade, the so-called bounce off the barricade like it was the ropes and clothesline that nigga. I was like, you know that you ain't in the ring, right? What you doing? And and then like he's in the ring and he's doing the mud hole. I was talking about the mud hole stocks. Yeah. I was like, he did the first couple, I was almost like he was like the uh the tin man from the whiz, he's like slide some oil to me. Oh, okay, it's better than now.
SPEAKER_01Let's get the crazy now.
SPEAKER_00You know, and then the oil got in them joints.
SPEAKER_02I was and like you were telling me about, you know, uh quick, it was like somebody uh uh had already posted after after uh uh the resume was over, uh, the night one was over, that you know, they said he was you know kind of stiff or something like that. I was like, first off, 19 years. One. Um two stiff wear. Because like I get it at the beginning, he was trying to figure out if he could still do it. Like what no matter what training, and I was saying this earlier, no matter what training you go through, there's practice, there's in-ring capability, in-ring audience and and and uh uh uh uh not hormones, but uh adrenaline. There it is. In in-ring adrenaline, then there's WrestleMania in-ring adrenaline.
SPEAKER_01Because you're talking about a regular event, you're talking about you know, a couple thousand, ten thousand, fourteen thousand, twenty thousand. WrestleMania is anywhere between 60 to 100,000 people.
SPEAKER_02The the uh uh what was that? The not so five is Hollywood. This was ATT, I think. Um 77,000 people.
SPEAKER_00All and your Stone Cold Steve Austin chanting your name, like the adrenaline's gonna be uh uh uh you know and I mean and just just uh it uh talk talk talking about like Stone Cold not not not not looking amazing is not not only is it common sense, it's it's also like missing the forest for the trees. Like the amount of people that that that that Stone Cold got into wrestling, like the the amount of people who despite knowing the severity of his injuries and and and how sure that that that hit him and doctors and WWE in general assured you that this man was not coming back because knees, neck, back uh yeah, like like like broken skull, naked. Okay, like he he he like this man would would risk permanent paralysis if you know if he came if you know if if he came back. So like the the the fact that you're like you're you're thinking about like him not looking like he did in your memory. 20 years ago 20 years ago in your memories, like like the the the the fact that the the fact that like like the even and not even just how special it was for the fact how special it was for Kevin. Yes, like like you know, Kev Kevin, Kevin who like who who who was one of those people who idolized him, looked up to him, was ex super honored to to to get this receive the stunner from he could have just gotten a stunner and been over with it, but the fact that Stone Cold agreed to even have a map, come on.
SPEAKER_02There are people all the wrestlers all the time that said, Oh, I would love to just have a match with my idol. I would love to have a match with just this one person. And there's a lot of those people who are not here anymore and or or can't even get into the ring for a moment to give them that. So the fact that Stone Cold, who literally said, Donzo not coming back, 19 years, I'm it's over, not only came back, not only had a match, Stone Cold was getting suplexed onto cement floors, he was getting thrown into turnbuckles and barricades. Over barricades, into announced tables. Like, this was not like didn't he stun him? Kevin Owens stunned Stone Cold. How many people can say that? Nobody but Kevin Owens and The Rock. Two people. I mean, maybe somebody else didn't, but that's only two I remember. Right.
SPEAKER_00So the sheer the sheer amount of trust that not only Stone Cold, but the WWE had uh in Kevin entrusting Stone Cold to him. Yes. And to take to take care of this man. Yep. And because that because never mind like Stone, like in any trepidation Stone Cold might have had, that WWE, the last thing they would ever want, yes, is having like one of their legacy icons, top hall of fame being injured for life on live WrestleMania. Like just the the the actual like y'all y'all y'all y'all know wrestle is fake, but you forget the fucking actual stakes. Yeah. And and the work that these people you always forget. Like the shit, the the the physical shit that this man not only put you through, but but convincingly like like brought you back to one of his uh fucking like there's no hose bar, yes, handicap, or before the fucking bell rang, this whooping ass through the audience, through Stone Cold put like Kevin Owens got on Stone Cold's ATV.
SPEAKER_02He hit uh Kevin Owens, drove him up the ramp, put uh uh mind you the ramp is the the the the ramp and the stage is not cushioned in any way shape it's harder than the floor uh next the uh um uh uh isn't uh the concrete is around the the the fans, but up on the stage, it's like a plexiglass floor almost. So he suplexed Kevin Owens onto that. Twice. Twice while then getting suplexed onto the cement floor out by the like I don't know what you expected. Because I will I say that that was a stone cold 20 years ago match? No, I'm not gonna say that because it would have been a month, a month, it would have been a lot more stakes at risk. It would have been much more blood. A lot more blood. Um but what I saw tonight was one of the I was I enjoyed it. Like, if I was to now rank legacy matches, Hall of Famer post matches, like, you know, Edge would be up there from the stuff he's done the last two years. Um trying to think who else has been doing stuff. Triple H has come back, of course, Undertaker. Well, I say Undertaker just became Hall of Famer, so I guess it doesn't count. Uh Shawn Michaels has come back, Rick Flair, two-time Hall of Famer. This match? It's up there. It's quintessentially stone cold, and it's Kevin Owens, because Kevin, it didn't even seem like Kevin Owens was not trying. Like, and I think that's the key for me, is like I've seen I've watched hundreds of Kevin Owen matches. I Kevin Owens is one of the wrestlers I enjoy watching in the ring, and the fact that him in this match against Stone Cold, it doesn't look like he's pulling punches, it doesn't look like he's holding himself back. It doesn't, it doesn't like you just you made an excellent point about WWE kind of uh putting trust and care in the hands of Stone Cold in the hands of Kevin Owens. And if I was handling something that's worth several billion dollars in the image of Stone Cold, I uh you you would have saw a stiff-ass match with me. You do I'm not that type of person, you would have saw a stiff-ass match. No, that's it. But Kevin Owens, like a Seth Rollins, like a Miz, was able to handle this character, handle this entity with care while still making it look real.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and like almost single-handedly building like all the drama leading up to it, like you know, saying, saying all the right things, pissing all the Texans off. Like, you know, and and I'm not, you know, and I'm not gonna say like it didn't, it didn't look like he was holding back because of because we know Stone Cold cannot take a pop-up powerball. But but but but what Kevin did was he he brought he brought it uh he went back to where Stone Cold was. This this this was an um an homage to a classic lobber knocker uh you know stone stone cold match and and you know and Stone Cold did the the best the best version the very convincing yes satisfying version of it very like he he he he he brought it he he got his ass whooped like like he was supposed to like he was supposed to uh and it was you know it it was it was it was lovely it was very wrestle it was a great it was a great close to a wrestle to a WrestleMania night and and God bless that nigga thrown the beers to Stone Cold to Stone Cold Like because niggas niggas don't miss like and and as uh I saw it at actually 1201 uh Queen Zelina who has a match tomorrow night for her tag team championships, a women's tag team championships, she posted Firing!
SPEAKER_02And if you know what that means, you you you would have saw for a I think second or third or maybe fourth time Byron Saxton got his ass up and decided to go and try and toast fucking Stone Cold Steve Austin as if we don't know how this shit worked, and he got that work uh at uh boy like but I will say he takes a stone cold study like the rock 1000% beautifully like it was it was it was great.
SPEAKER_00Um yeah, like that nigga caught Rigamoted.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that rigorous in the air.
SPEAKER_00Like, yeah, like that nigga went Looney Tunes. All right, all right, it was in that suit.
SPEAKER_02In that suit. I'm like, that loon suits would have been cheap. I know he got dry cleaning, but that's a lot of but anywho, uh that's our our covering. That was long, that was long. That was our recap, our review of um WrestleMania uh 38, night one, because of course it's gonna be a second one. Uh so uh thanks for watching, thanks for listening. Uh, this is Suchino Shogun and Kyle Shari. Uh, we will be back again, not only for night two, but for more of these. Uh so if there's another promotion you want us to talk about, uh if there's more topics you want us to talk about, feel free to let us know. And we'll catch you later. You see it.
