Welcome back. This is Kaze Shinryu, Suchino Shogun of the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. Of course, you know, you're probably normalized in hearing the entire melodic voices of our entire group of panelists. But this time, part two, WrestleMania. I don't know if you're a pro wrestling fan or not, but it's, you know, as they called it, the most stupendous uh WrestleMania of all time. Every year. Okay, first off, this has only been the first stupendest WrestleMania of all time. Every other year has been great, phenomenal, amazing, so on and so forth. So this year, we decided to do our, you know, uh knee-jerk reactions, if you will. Um, yes, we know that by the time you heard this, WrestleMania had already ended two or three weeks ago. But, you know, it's a podcast, so we release it when we release it. Um, but you know, this is just our reactions to what happened tonight. Uh, it's been, it's been some type of night. Uh, if you're watching this, I'm sure you can tell. I have my bloodline apparel on uh because it needed to be said. Uh there are followers of our tribal chief on the uh on the Blurred Spectrum podcast. I don't care what you have to say for yourself. I actually had to almost have a conversation with somebody uh uh at a restaurant a couple months ago because I walked in with our tribal chief's merch on, and he decided to say something, and I had to put him in his place. Um but anyway, uh back on to night two. We already did night one. Night one was amazing. Uh shoot, Bianca Belair, of course, the match with Charlotte and um Ronda Rousey. Uh Cody and uh Seth. Oh my god, that could have been the whole thing. That could have been the whole thing. I mean, we shouldn't be talking about night one again, but yes, that was amazing. Um, of course, the the return match of Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Kevin Owens, that anyway, uh let's not go back into night one again. Night two still had its checkers. Actually, uh, even before we watched night two, I was like, this seems like they have a lot of gimmick matches, but no, the matches in night two were still solid, even though they were, you know, kind of entertainment ploys, if you will. Um, so the first one I guess we'll talk about is, you know, which is interesting because I really thought that on night two would have been the Mysterios versus the Miz and uh um you know his name. I didn't want to even talk about him on the first time we talked about him. There you go. Logan Paul, that guy. Um uh yeah, so yeah, I thought they would be on night two, but no. Uh one of the night two matches we got was Pat McAfee versus Austin Theory. Now, as we said on the first night, um uh I'm the one who watches WWE on a consistent basis weekly. Uh uh Kazi Shinryu watches it when he can, specifically pay-per-views. Um when the spirit strikes. When the spirit strikes them. Um so I've been keeping up with the story, and I've tried my best to keep him uh abreast of certain developments that take place weekly, and one of the biggest is annoyances has been Austin Theory these last couple of weeks. Um uh like he's been representing uh, I'm sorry, people out there, the for the Zillenials, the um taking the selfie, taking a picture every and anywhere, um just pissing people off, uh, from Rey Mysterio to Jeff Hardy uh to Finn Balor, and then you know, now and Pat McAfee didn't deserve any of this. Like Pat McAfee was doing his job as a commentator. Uh he had Mr. McMahon on his podcast, and Mr. McMahon offered him this opportunity to uh uh have his first, uh maybe only, but first ever match at WrestleMania. And, you know, as we all who watch wrestling or pro wrestling, it's one of those childhood dreams. If you ever, you know, as a kid, oh, I want to be a wrestler, you're like, oh, I have to wrestle WrestleMania. That's what all these men and women are or or people are trying to do at the end of the day, is get to the mountaintop. Wherever that mountaintop is, it doesn't have to be WWE, it could be AEW, could be Impact, could be Ring of Honor, it could be uh uh uh New Japan, it could be any of them. So it doesn't, and I'm sure I'm I'm I'm I'm sure it's it's definite that I'm of course not saying all of them because there's so many wrestling promotions in the world. So, you know, if along whatever your mountaintop is, you know, you want to get to it. So you have these individuals who are just trying to reach that that that that you know that new plateau. That new plateau. And you know, Pat McAfee, literally, you know, you you don't know this is what people want to do until they tell you the backstory. And you know, of course, you know, pro pro football, uh punter, uh uh, I believe he played for the Colts. I hope I'm not wrong. Um, but you know, he did what he had to do and was excited to get this opportunity, and then this little motherfucker, Austin Theory, and so both of these gentlemen wrestled in NXT. Now, Pat McAfee wasn't predominantly a wrestler, wrestler in NXT, he actually was a manager slash influencer, and then he did commentary a couple times or was on the commentary table. Um, and then he had his whole thing with Adam Cole. Boy, when he kicked the head off of Adam Cole. That like and then when they had that match at Takeover, um Pat McAfee sold me. Like that match, like wrestling in like uh jeans tighter than John Cena's, that was a good match from Pat McAfee, who has never wrestled a match in WWE before. Like, it was phenomenal, in my opinion.
SPEAKER_00No, it was really good. And he sold me and then he put me to sleep. Good. Because that promo. And it wasn't bad. It wasn't, I wasn't like mad board. It was just like, oh, still going on. Oh, god. Okay. He tried his best. Let me know when you've done it.
SPEAKER_02Oh god. All right. Well, he's a talker. That is what he is. He tried his best. That's his money. So, um, yeah. So, you know, uh uh uh Pat McAfee had already shown, if you if you if you watch NXT, had already shown that he could go as a celebrity in the ring, or better. And then we have Austin Theory. Austin Theory already tried his his his his his hand at WWE, the main roster. Um actually started NXT, got called up to the main roster fast. And I assuming my assumption, as we see what's going on with Austin Theory now, is Mr. Man liked it, liked him, and was like, yo, this is about to be the next big thing. But he, you know, he paired if the problem, in my opinion, at that time is he came in right when COVID happened. So there was no audience, there was no hype to be built. So he tried his hand at a bunch of different things. He they even paired him with Zelina Vega and um uh Zelina Vega and uh Andrade. And what was he doing with him? Uh he was like an intern almost. Like I I I I know he wasn't an intern, but he might as well have been. Because like he was just rolling around, like following her, and them rather, and kind of like, and it was around the time that Angel Garza joined them. And because Angel just had come up from NXT, and he didn't have, you know, they was like, okay, you know, Hispanic, Spanish, Latino, let's go ahead and just group them together. So, you know, Andrade was already making a name for himself in the mid-card, and you know, Zelina is the best manager, hands down, other than Paul Heyman. Um, sorry, MVP. Uh and you know, so they was like, okay, let's, you know, slide them over there. Because at that point, Andrade had been doing phenomenal matches with Rey Mysterio. Now, to the point where the ratings are so good the first time they decided to do it three or four more times, which is as always is overrekill WWE. Um, so you know, he has his attention on him, and then they had to, you know, move to the next one. And the next one was adding in more people into their staple that's turning into a stable. And that was when they added Angel Garza. But then it's like, you know, I was like, okay, well, Humberto is there, and you know, there's other, you know, Hispanic individuals there, but then they added all centuries, and I was like, is there something I missed? I thought he was just a white boy from Atlanta. Um okay. Uh, but you know, as I obviously it didn't last very long, uh, and it was, you know, I don't he wasn't fired, he was just sent back to NXT. And I think personally, that was one of the best things that it can do because when they sent it back to NXT, he joined Johnny Gargano uh and the way. Like, like, although he was just playing like a adopted son of Johnny Gargano, uh it j it just worked. Like, he was just like this ditzy, clueless, uh like obviously he's not a teenager, but the role the acting that he was portraying made it seem like he was a teenager, you know, adopted by this family, and they were showing them the way. And you know, and Johnny Gargano is a mainstay, or was a mainstay. Well, no, he'll forever be a mainstay in NXT. And, you know, he had already won the championship, he was already a you know, triple crown winner. Um what there was nothing else he needed to do. He's you know, he did it all. So at that point, like to me, it felt like he was giving back. Indy Hartwell and Awesome Theory learned a bunch, grew as performers, grew as storytellers under the way, under Johnny Gargano. Um, and I just felt like it was phenomenal the stuff that was happening with Awesome Theory at that time, all the way up to when Indy got married to Dexter Luminus. Like I was like, oh snap, this is like the Garganos set them up to do phenomenal things. So he's now mastering this storytelling, but then he starts, you know, showing up on Raw and showing up on SmackDown, and you know, he starts disappearing, not showing up like he uh uh ran away from home, if you will, from the way. But then, you know, he was there for the wedding, he was there for like the final match for Johnny Gargano, and then you know, on to the uh the uh the um the the main roster again. So I was like, I'm excited because he's he's worked, he's practiced, he's got this new, you know, acting ability, he's got these storytelling chops now. Granted, not saying he wasn't doing it before WWE, but I'm just saying in terms of the storytelling of WWE, he's learned a lot under NXT. So I'm like Beth, he's about to go into the main roster and smash it. Sorry, my travel chief. Um, but he's about to do this, and it's like he he started by like coming out and annoying like like legends and champions, like coming out on the mic against Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio and like uh uh you know Finn Balor and I think he even came out um with Edges out there, like just like all the wrong people. Like, I think he like even went out there with Randy Orton. I was like, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_02Like, and and then that uh and then for the elimination chamber, he went out there against Brock Lesnar and he paid what he owed. He didn't cause cuz cause because all other four competitors definitely left the ring. As soon as he got in, it was like you got it, bro. You want some other shit. And and they left him. And I mean, it was like slap half paying your dues and other half annoying as hell, I guess. Um, but like, you know, what what I find interesting is although he's already been to NXT twice, up to the main roster twice, I find it interesting that he's obviously getting pushed to be in these matches. He's not winning, but he's getting pushed to be in his matches, but nobody's comparing him to when Roman Reigns got pushed. Because niggas was booing that nigga out the arena. These, like, and don't tell me, oh, they're booing him too. There's a difference between the booing they were giving Roman Reigns after he fought off cancer to the boos they're giving Austin Theory. Those are jovial, oh, I don't like the the childish games you're playing booze. It's the distinct difference.
SPEAKER_00Don't bullshit me. But I think the I think the difference with that is uh I think Austin's Austin's push really matches his story where he's the he's Vince's, he's he's like Vince's like quote unquote favorite. But also Vince But they're not they're not making him win these matches. He's just the part part of the story is that he's being put in over his head. Again, he's fighting like he's fighting all these crazy matches with these with the and all and he always does more than you think he would.
SPEAKER_02And and and I'll give you that. Like he shows out in these matches, but then like he'll win something. Like he beat Finn Balor. Why? Like, I I get it.
SPEAKER_00I didn't see that.
SPEAKER_02I I I don't know. Like, he beat Finn Balor more than one clean more than once. No interference, no weapons, no running around the ring. He beat Finn Balor more than once. Once while Finn Balor was United States champion, which was recently. And he beat uh he just beat somebody the other day. And we were just, I was sitting there shocked, and then I'm like, what? Why why did you wait Ricochet? Why he was an intercontinental champion? Why like Rick, that was actually I think that was last week. Ricochet's an intercontinental champion. Matter of fact, it was right before WrestleMania. It was he Pat McAfee was on the mic on the commentator table, and he's looking into the ring, and they put him there. Like, why would you put him in there if you want him to win against your intercontinental champion? I get it, Ricochet makes people look good. We've we talked about it to a blue in the face, black in the face, however color you are. But why would you put your intercontinental champion in the ring with someone that you're trying to bolster to make him look good for his match on Sunday when he's your intercontinental champion? I don't understand. Like, that either means you're devaluing the champion or you're devaluing the championship. Either way, it ain't good.
SPEAKER_00Like it's not, but they they never show respect. So that is and and they and they de and they devalue their belts whenever it's convenient. Whenever it's convenient all the time. So I'm not I'm not surprised by that either. And and also I didn't think it was happening now, but I did think that the logical conclusion of his arc is that he's sharing the space with all these greats. And and uh he's been given all these opportunities because they think he has potential. So I guess this is this is his potential meeting that third experience.
SPEAKER_02Let me make sure I'm understanding. Are you breaking the fourth wall and talking about like the his potential in terms of like a human being, or are you staying with inside the storyline and saying the potential is Austin Theory, the character?
SPEAKER_00Uh I'm guessing a little bit of both. Whereas I think I think the storyline is in is encompass is encompassing a little bit of the truth. Okay, yeah. Where he's he's a young, he's a lot of he has a lot of talent, he's a come up, he's a he has a comer up. Yep. And and I think and I think they're just wrap naturally wrapping that in and and with Vince making him a favorite. No, you're right, yeah. And treating him like uh, you know, almost like uh it seemed like he always like like he always wanted uh a wrestler child and Shane does his best.
SPEAKER_01Don't do that.
SPEAKER_00Shane, no, look who I'm not doing I'm not talking about Shane tonight, no, but but by Shane does his best. I mean even if Shane wouldn't do what he did to his body, uh at the end of the day, he is still he still has jobs and expectations outside of the Shane Shane cannot be a the fucking daily dude.
SPEAKER_02Even though he was at one point coming in there fighting Chris Jericho and and and Kurt Angle and Triple A, like yeah, I mean, and but also with Shane, with Shane at uh with Shane like actually being part of the Empire.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00That means Shane. Oh, I mean, until he bought WCW and then he pissed off his daddy again and then got kicked out something. Well, no, no, that's that's part of my point. Oh, okay. Shane uh Shane Shane actually having a piece of the pie means Shane can't pull. And he can go do what he wants, which means Vince can't just make him do whatever he wants when he wants, because Shane can do. Because he's a he's also a McMahon. He's also a McMahon. And you raise him to be an act like a McMahon. Yeah, whereas Austin Theory, he can treat, he can she can do whatever the fuck he can do.
SPEAKER_02But she does. Boy, when I tell you, it was I think it was the second time they showed Vince McMahon in the same room as Austin Theory, and he slapped him across the face like hard. Like, like, like, like, like he taught Stephanie how to slap people. That's the slap he gave Austin Theory. That's like I know that shit hurt. Like, Matter.
SPEAKER_01Well, nope, I'm not talking about the the Oscars right now.
SPEAKER_02Uh, but that slap hurt. And um, yeah, you're right. Like, he, he, he, he I agree, I completely agree with the sentiment of he has the potential, they see the potential, or Vince sees the potential, and you know, people always have been talking about for decades that when Vince sees the potential to somebody, he pushes them. And it's a vision. Especially when you have a look that he likes and he pushes you, you know, to the moon and past. And, you know, I but personally, I don't like the fact that he was in his matches, but I get why he put him in his matches. Because one, filler, two, because he gets that experience and he gets what they call that rub where he can show out against these actual, you know, world champions. Like everybody else, I believe, in that in Elimination Chamber was a world champion, if I can remember it properly. Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, uh, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, and Brock Lesnar.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02There might have been somebody else, I might be wrong, but everybody else, world champion, except for him. So, like, and he he was holding his own until until Brock Lesnar showed up.
SPEAKER_00I mean, he had an equal amount of own after Brock came out. Yeah. Everybody was fooled. Oh, that's what you mean.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't know. You remember what Brock did to him off the top of the thing? You don't remember that when he F5 him from the top of the box? I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's he took a lot more pain than everybody else. Like that was that was SmackDown Bring the Pain, Brock Lesnar. That threw his ass off the top of that pot.
SPEAKER_00I'm sorry, we're talking about that that was that was the uh that was just the greenness because everybody got their initial. Everybody got the pain before they did.
SPEAKER_02So one nowhere to go. True. We're talking too much about limitation back to WrestleMania. All right, so anyway, Pat McAfee, Austin Theory. This, like I said before about how Pat McAfee showed himself in NXT, Austin Theory is, and I won't deny Austin Theory, Austin Theory's talent, phenomenal talent. So this match, I think if you didn't see uh Pat McAfee in NXT, you were probably expecting this to be kind of like Austin Theory giving him a little bit of leeway. But no, Pat McAfee put on a show with Austin Theory. Um it was a on Austin Theory. On Austin Theory. Because, and not saying that we all thought, I because I think, and this is why I was so upset about uh even more upset after watching this match about the fact that they had Austin Theory beat Richet Clean. Yeah. Like, even when he beat Finn Balor clean, I'm like so what are you saying? So what are you saying? Because yes, in this match of Pat McAfee, the the premise is that Austin Theory was uh taking him lightly the majority of the time. Yeah and he and the majority of the match, uh uh Austin Theory was, you know, actually fucking up Pat McAfee. But when Pat McAfee came back, he came to fuck back and was what to the point where Pat McAfee won this match. And he not only did he win it, he won it convincingly.
SPEAKER_00Like, I there's nothing in my mind not only convincingly, every every burst of momentum that Pat McAfee had was this like a tent-poe moment. It was like it it showcased that because like because you could you called him a a celebrity before, but I think first and foremost he's a fan. True. And and and Pat McAfee is like lit is is a personification of all us at home niggas. And we think like, oh man, if I could get the opportunity, if I worked out enough, if if if if if and like so that so that moment with when he was uh was he at the podcast with Vince Went to the Podcast? Yeah, yeah, that but that that moment was like that.
SPEAKER_02That's the one hundred percent. And when he did the whole Stone Cold uh uh uh uh uh verbiage, like they cut it out in WrestleMania, but I'd already seen that a million times. Like the the was it stone cold or was it Randy was seeing I forgot? Look, anyway, but yeah, no, you could see you okay, correction fan first, because you saw the fan passion in him. Like, and then you know, and like like you the good point you just meant mentioned about if I had the training, if I had the ability to go in there, the fact that he has football training, like he, you know, he although he's no longer a football player, he still has that innate training. I'm sure he's training every single day. Especially knowing this moment, especially knowing that this moment is coming. He got himself back up the snuff. And I'm sure even before he did the Adam Cole thing, he got himself already ready. And that Adam Cole fight was was that during COVID? Yeah. It was like within the beginnings of COVID.
SPEAKER_00So, you know, this shit was already popping, you know. And his and his moveset was like a uh no he's a fan, his moveset was like a creative wrestler.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_02There's no there is no other way you could say that. There's no other way you can say that. 100 like oh a signature move heavy creator wrestler. Like he made sure he learned all the stuff that he wanted to do as a kid, he made sure he did it in that ring.
SPEAKER_05Exactly.
SPEAKER_02That oh, that's a good point to bring up. Every whoo! Because that you're right. Every single thing, if I could get in the ring, every single signature that I put on a creator wrestler my entire life, from No Mercy to uh uh SmackDown 2K, uh Bring the uh uh Here Comes the Pain, like uh all of them. Every single move that I ever thought about and that I put on my character, I would try my best to do in a match if they gave me the ability to do it in a match. So you're 100% correct. But anyway, we we've gone way far going into uh concept about this match, but Pat McAfee uh won this match uh with Mr. McMahon's standing ringside, and you know, the you know how when McMahon's are next to the to the ring, and and and how a ref don't know how to function. So the ref is trying to pay attention to the match, but pay attention to Bitch McMahon, he still won. But then Mr. Man got challenged, I didn't think he had it in, by Pat McAfee. And you know, we we've seen it millions of times, well not millions of times, but we've seen it time and time again if you're a long, uh die hard, uh especially 90s, 2000s WWE fan, when Bitch McMahon takes off, you know, the blazer and the button-up, and you see these traps and these lats and these biceps and the like fucks the uh Hulk Hogan, the 24 pythons of fucking Binch McMahon is scary as shit. Um I don't care what he uses or what he does, he can whoop your ass regardless. So the fact that he challenged him, maybe he thought it was an old man, so he had, you know, he was gonna do it. But he went out there and uh maybe it's because he was tired from the match of awesome theory because he ain't no wrestler, but uh Vincent Man whooped that ass. Um uh whooped that ass one, two, three. It really wasn't a contest. Uh yeah, it was exha I I'll I'll put it on exhaustion, maybe. And then on top of that, Vincent Man was cheating, but the referee wasn't gonna say nothing. You know? I don't know. I'm not getting fired.
SPEAKER_00I'll be dough. Vince Man was cheating because again, it it was a creative character. Also true. It's all his stats. Yeah, yeah. All of them at 99. Uh-huh. Cause he again, because again, he looks fantastic for a seven-year-old. 70-80. Going on, yeah. 70, 70, going on 80. He looked he looked fantastic, and uh, but I think I think that was one of the main I think I think back in the day when Vince used to come out, Vince was like, like, don't, like, don't, don't sleep on, don't, don't sleep on me. And then he would actually do something. Do something and put up. But this time it was kind of like, okay, well now you already know. Yeah, yeah, now you're fighting my aura, my legacy.
SPEAKER_02You already know! Like, and I was saying that from from uh last night, from uh night one, like there has been a legend aura amongst certain wrestlers, like Stone Cold from Night One, like, although it was a good match, you know that that was that legend aura that if you play any of these wrestling games, like the reason why all these wrestlers are at in their 80s and above, even though they haven't wrestled in years, is because they keep like this legend cap on them, or this uh uh uh this Hall of Fame cap on them, whereas though Flora 100%. So when you get in the ring and you're you know wrestling with uh no offense, whether Ricochet, Austin Theory, Pat, Pat McAfee, who's not a wrestler at all, who doesn't have like I say his creative character. But you know, when you have a creative character and you play the story mode and you get to a Vince McMahon or a Ric Flair or a Hulk Hogan or a Rock or Triple H or a Kurt Angel or Undertaker or Stone Cold, you're not faced with the the the same characters you were playing during the entire match or entire game. You're faced with this phenom, if you will, who has these unbelievable counters, uh strength is as maxed out, defense is maxed out, all that stuff. So even if Pat McAfee was had the chance, he wasn't gonna win that match. But of course, the how do you face a legend is with another legend. And here comes the glass, and here comes the stone cold. Uh so he ain't finished the night, but he definitely left a mark on the end of night two because everybody got a stunner. Real quick. Um the stunner of WrestleMania weekend. Pat McAfee stunner, how he took the stunner was amazing. Vince McMahon, the the geriatric uh uh Mortal Kombat stunner was was was good too. The uh stunner to uh Kevin Owens, phenomenal. The stunner Kevin Owens gave uh uh uh Stone Code. Alright. The Skywalk Stunner delivered to Austin Theory with Surf to Soleil. The way this man floated in Matrix Midair after this stunner popped off and hit the ground again and then rolled out of the ring, brava. Like I said, he has acting skills, they just say let him use it all the time.
SPEAKER_00Most of that, most up. And and in in in in in revisiting that uh uh using uh put inserting Austin in all these moments. Yes. Uh like like like like this was this was Pat McAfee's moment. Yep, but they also made it Austin's moment because now this is that now he's in now he's at fucking WrestleMania. Right. And not only was he at WrestleMania, he got fucking stunned by Stone Cold Steve Austin.
SPEAKER_02Never gonna be at a ring ever again. He may not even come, like the fact that it was in Texas, of course he has to be there, but that doesn't mean the next time they're in Texas, he's gonna be there. There's no guarantee. So the like so now in the annals of all time, Vince McMahon back in the ring, Pat McAfee in the ring for the first time, Stone Cole back in the ring, Austin Theory is wrapped up in this nice nice little package. So 100%, you are correct. But we have talked about these two for 30 minutes. So we need to move on to the next match. Um one of the most I was talking about celebrities. Sami Zayn versus Johnny Knoxville, the anything goes match. Um, I did not know this was Sami Zayn versus Jackass.
SPEAKER_00Um this um uh that's if it was gonna be a good match, especially after I found out it was uh Anything Goes? Anything goes, I think that was the only thing it could have been. Yeah, so that's so when especially especially after like Sammy started to like you know wisen up a bit, yeah, kind of get more aggressive, and I'm like, oh this nigga about especially when they because they had that thing when he went to go mess with them in the crowd. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, this nigga about get jumped.
SPEAKER_02He is, he has to. That's what I was expecting, especially there, because you saw the two black guys and the white guys. Oh, okay, they're gonna jump off a barricade, beat him up. Nope, they didn't do anything then.
SPEAKER_00Okay, maybe it's gonna happen later. We had uh we had a we had a we had a script, we had a storyline. We had a storyline. We we it was very, it was very loony to us.
SPEAKER_02No, no, that's not what you said. That's what you said when it happened. What did you say when it happened? Because you had uh uh 50, 60, 70 year old Johnny Knoxville with his platinum white blonde hair looking a joker. There we go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Johnny was a joker.
SPEAKER_02That fight was straight out of animated series Batman Joker. Yeah, thank you. Animated series Batman Joker, not you know the killing joke. Um because the hijinx, like, it like imagine playing a match of injustice, the game, and like using all of the Joker's special moves. That's literally what I felt like I saw from the mousetrap table to the big ass hand slap to the pyrotechnics to the bowling ball to the testicles. The taser. To the like when the taser came out, I was like, alright, I because when Kaze said it, I was like, okay, I can see that. I can see the mouse trap. As soon as he pulled out the taser, I was like, oh shit. This, this, if this ain't it, this is what it is. Like, and then We Man came from under the uh out of nowhere, uh fucking like one of the uh Holly Quinn's hyenas and and suplexed uh Sami Zayn. I always knew that dude was strong.
SPEAKER_00I didn't see that coming. Yeah, I I as soon as I saw him and I was like, oh, this man wide as fuck. He is he could carry him.
SPEAKER_02That was the first thing I actually my first thought was that they were gonna get um oh man, uh uh why did I forget his name all of a sudden? Damn it, damn it, damn it. Hornswoggle. I thought Hornswoggle was gonna show up because I saw some little person. Um he said he doesn't really follow the little person. Anyway, uh and then we saw Weaver and I was like, oh snap. And you're right. You said he was wild, I was like, and he sure enough suplexed your man Sami Zayn. And we were I'll get to that in a second. I can't remember his name, uh uh sexy dancer, uh uh like the thong was too much. I was not ready for it, it just came out of nowhere, like it was just it was bananas.
SPEAKER_00It was just bananas. Yeah, yeah, I was telling you in a moment, they needed a they needed a distraction, and and and him and his uh um later uh him him and his later years uh near nudity. That was pretty much like poison damage. It's like niggas who can't fight, they say like if they they're getting jumped, they're gonna strip. Oh my god. Because then nobody won't fight to do it with the dick out. And that thing was it was down there. It was somewhere. Yeah. So boy. Now what? Now what I could have done without is that cameraman zooming in.
SPEAKER_02Zooming in several times. Like, I get it, it's WrestleMania, but this children still watching. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, that's that was too much.
SPEAKER_02Like, to the point where I'm sure any replays are gonna cut that out. There's no way. There nobody's gonna show that again.
SPEAKER_00But anyway, um my inner child was screaming a little bit. And I was like, oh, I thought we were never gonna see that again.
SPEAKER_02And here we are. And what's crazy is we even said, or I even said, that, you know, this this match was going to, you know, Sam Dezane was gonna have to either put him down, or because as anything goes, it's it's gonna be a ridiculous amount of hijinks. And and even when, you know, he was getting, when uh um uh Johnny Knoxville was getting suplex and throwing into things, I was like, look, Johnny Knoxville has been doing this to himself for several decades. Yeah, carts off cliffs, uh shot out of rockets and cannons, uh off buildings, like not saying that wrestling isn't as damaging, but like and he's older, but there's a certain pain tolerance that I'm sure Sami Zayn has that not many people have. Because the fact that every time that Sami Zayn will give uh Johnny Knoxville, I meant Johnny Knoxville in pain tolerance, um every time that Sami Zayn would give Johnny Knoxville a Haluva kick, there's no way in my mind that I did not see that make contact to Johnny Knoxville's face every single time. There's no way, every single one. Even the even the stamp, like Sami Zayn hit a Haluva kick while Sami Zayn was still uh while Johnny Knoxville was still talking to the rep. And and and didn't even need to like hang his foot over the rope. He landed on the ground, which means he was full force kicking that dude and then putting all the force into the rest of the ground.
SPEAKER_00Like soon as I saw that these two were having like a storyline, I I already imagine like them like setting up a training session so they can teach Johnny how to sell things. And then Johnny being like, oh no, no, I want you to hit me. I want you to hit me, yep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, no, no, 100%.
SPEAKER_02Cause because either either he didn't pass the selling the selling these moves uh training session, or like you said, he just said, go ahead and hit me and my body will sell it.
SPEAKER_00It's two on brain.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Honestly, all of them, even we man, when he got kicked, and everybody else when he got thrown out the ring, these these people have been taking damage, all types of damage for years. So they really, other than maybe falling off of something high, there was nothing that Sammy could do in terms of pain tolerance that isn't more than they've done themselves.
SPEAKER_00But um it it literally would have been a it would it had to have been a it would have had to have been a before they came out like a just a battery of uh of suplexes. Yeah. Like the actual people had to like block a lesson of that negative.
SPEAKER_02Oh, completely. That's the only way, the only way. But like the way that that match ended, that giant mousetrap. Um I see what they were trying to do. I was excited about it. Um it's and it's crazy because you said it. You was like, it probably worked several times in practice in rehearsal when they were trying out the mousetrap, and just because and and honestly, every single hijack trap weapon, uh uh uh uh jackass, uh a jackassary that was used worked perfectly. Bowling ball to the nuts, mousetrap table, uh everything worked perfectly. The kickstand. The kickst the kickstand. That completely I completely escaped my mind. The kickstand, the big ass hand, everything. The taser, the the pyrotechnics. It wasn't until the the the the finale, the the mousetrap just for a second didn't work. And it actually didn't work twice because it didn't work when he pulled the cord, and then when he released it, he got hit by it, and then it hit Sami Zayn. I was like, damn, you almost there. They could have just changed it and done a dog pile, but I get it. You you wanted to pin them, so it's cool. But congratulations, the winner of the match was Johnny Knoxville, and Sami Zayn once again is absolutely positively furious that there's a conspiracy going on. Um next, uh we have uh the phenomenal one versus the one that you thought you knew. Uh Edge versus AJ Styles. Um these two are for wrestling fans, are household names. Um you you I'm I'm not gonna say you can't get bigger than these two, but this is one of those things where you're like, you know, how you know Michael Cole or good old JR would say this is like a dream match uh that you would never have ever thought of ever potentially seeing. So, you know, when they announced it several weeks ago, I was like, oh shit, because you know, Edge was in the ring, and he was like, I I will make your life, I will make, I'll make you famous. WrestleMania against Edge, whoever's back there who wants this match, you will live in infamy if you do this matchup, which is the truth. Because is Edge at WrestleMania at this point? Edge? Yeah. And when AJ AJ Styles music hit, I was like, oh, it's that. And then Edge beat that nigga senseless. And then hit him with a double concerto. I was like, oh, and AJ was out for a week. I was like, oh damn, and then and then Edge came back out with this like suave brood, like like went from red to purple. Like that purple was hit. That that it wasn't purple, it was like like oh, what is it, the black light? It was black light blue. That mood was hitting. Suave suit, like like it reminded me of what um Alistair Black was trying to do right before he, you know, got fired. I'm not gonna say he left, got fired by WWE. Um, it was like kind of that clean cut, you know, shit is wrong with you. And the change of his music. When I tell you I have been listening to you think you know me, I didn't even like that shit at the beginning. That nigga made me uh just fall for that shit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, I mean, because I think it I I I don't think I don't think I was I don't think I was all the way all the way bought. And so it's like you think you think you know me, and I'm like, well, it's not much to know. Oh I mean you're good. Oh you're great even. But but it's the music.
SPEAKER_02Oh this day, I see clearly. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00No, no, songs always been amazing. But it was just kind of like, but as far as like, you know, because I always like to rap uh wrap the music into the character. Yeah. And it was always like the edges, it's always been very like vaguely good, but I don't think before before what? Like he his comeback. What? Like, no, no, like he was good, but I don't think like as far as like his promos and his stories, and I just wasn't all the way sold. Uh yeah, and not even like not sold, I just don't think it was. I I knew the tier the Edge was on, and I don't think his promos was on the same tier that he was on. Like I think he was legendary because of the ladder matches because of the tag team, because of all the stuff. But then but then he would say something like, uh, I guess. Wow. But I mean, but you about to, you know, you're about to you're about to be amazing, you're about to do the damn thing.
SPEAKER_02So you feel like post 10 years time skip edge is a phenomenal in terms of all-around promotion. Yeah, like that.
SPEAKER_00Now not only the character work, but like when he does this unhinged thing, that fucking it work the grizzle, the the grizzle, rather than the the skeletal, like the old age. The old age, yeah. Yeah, all the fat from his face is gone. Yeah, yeah. And when he gets that crazy fucking look in his eyes, like I'm in there. I'm like, oh, this nigga, oh yeah, signed on.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. No, no, no. I I I definitely because it scares me sometimes because I want to believe it's still the old edge, but like you're right, when he hits that look and that kind of like dazed, completely not here, I'm like, oh shit, somebody like when he fought uh Roman Reigns, my tribal chief, and he had, you know, he was doing that whole I don't even want to, you know what? I'm sorry about Tribal Chief. I'm gonna have to I have to have to bring up facts. Um uh Jesus. When he took the the pole from the chair and decided to, you know, put it in the mouths of the uh uh of the of the bloodline. I I I I I turned the screen every single time, I promise you. Um it was not okay. I was not okay with it.
SPEAKER_00It was it was like a crossface, right?
SPEAKER_02It was a crossface, you're 100% correct. It was absolutely deplorable. Um Ed's got what he got. He got what coming to him, he got smashed and stacked and pinned at WrestleMania. He got what came to him. Dumb up against my travel chief. Um, but yeah, no, when he was doing that, like that unhinged look on his face is it made me nervous. I was like, not for my travel chief, of course, but it made me nervous for everybody else, the Usos. Yeah, yeah, y'all know y'all was scared for a second, but yeah, y'all came around. Y'all came around, y'all had it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, no, it's definitely like a new level of intention. Even um, even his uh the the the the the greatest match of all time against uh nope, nope, right?
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. You remember that lady from um Candyman? Don't don't do that, don't do that.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I won't repeat that phrase, but I wasn't even as mad that they said it 25 times when the when the match happened. Because you complained about that shit all through that. Oh, because it was inexcusable. But but but but in 2020, oh my gosh! The the again, far from the greatest match of all time, but it was a it was a fantastic match. Like the the the the the the intent and the fact that he and it was in the physicality are you talking about the anything goes match anywhere or are you talking about the one in the ring?
SPEAKER_02Because it's the difference.
SPEAKER_00Which one was the greatest match of all?
SPEAKER_02That one happened at either Extreme Rules, I have to go back and check. They happened in a completely different pay-per-view. The greatest match of all time was the one in the ring against Randy Orton when they had the 4K cameras, and it you could see like every indentation and and hair strand, and and they had those little those moments where like they went from the standard HD to 4K cameras and you could like see everything moving. Like my eyes was getting fucked up. I was trippy as shit because I was watching it on a 4K TV because I rolled that way, and it was actually 10k, 8k TV, sorry.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, um, but yeah, no, that shit was trippy as hell. So so was the anything else match like like a follow-up to that was because it was when Edge was like, I because I forget who won.
SPEAKER_02I forget who won the greatest match of all time. I forget who won the greatest match of all time, but whoever won was like, I'm done with this, and then the other person came back and said, You're not done with me. Um, which at that time it could have been either one of them. That's why I said I don't remember what. And then they had the anything goes match anywhere. In the back on the trucks everywhere. Yeah, the ending on top of the trucks. Like that was that was a good follow-up. I agree. But yeah, that was not the greatest match of all time. I mean, that should have been the all around the place, yeah. Um, but yeah, returning back to this match, Edge versus AJ Styles, because we've been talking about Edge this whole time, but it's not fair to AJ Styles. Um, it was a it was what I thought it would be. It was um these two clashing styles of competition. Shut the hell up! How dare you make me make a pun? Fuck you. That's not what that was.
SPEAKER_00Right, yeah, yeah. You said it's fancy about it.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Um that's how you know your life right now. Oh no, oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Um it was a phenomenal match. The match was great. Edge put on a show, AJ Styles put in great skill into every single one of his moves. Um I loved the fact that at the end of that match they incorporated um Damien uh uh uh Priest. Priest, thank you. Damian Priest since the end. And I love the fact that Damien Priest didn't do anything, he existed. I think that was so excellent because when I saw uh uh um uh Edge come out a couple weeks ago, I or uh yeah, a couple weeks ago, I was like, okay, they're about to do something big with Edge, because you don't just do that just for WrestleMania match. I mean you could, but it didn't make any sense. So the fact that they brought out Damian Priest, I thought it was phenomenal because with Damian Priest, he's been fighting Finn Balor, he just lost his United States championship, he was sliding because you know he was doing that whole battling his good and evil side, he was sliding more into the evil side because he lost his US championship. So to have Edge at this point with this kind of you know, telling people in the back I can make you a make you famous, and you know, telling, literally telling AJ Styles about himself in terms of I want the best out of you. This soft tag team championship, uh walking around the back with a giant uh AJ Styles is bullshit. Like I don't know what this is, but this ain't you. And then he's like, I want the pit bull, I'm with the I'm with the I want the pit bull AJ Styles. Uh and bringing that out of him, you know, it's interesting how it, you know, how showcasing Damian Priest right there is almost like he uh evoked uh evoked uh his presence. It's like something about what Edge was saying was calling towards the sensibilities of um Damian Priest saying, look, you got someone right here who who's been here. Someone like someone you saw when you were younger, even if you were still wrestling at the time, you saw Edge, who was at the mountaintop, world heavyweight champion, tag team champion, intercontinental United States, all of it. Did everything.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh uh Royal Rumble winner, WrestleMania, he did it all. And now he's back and he's fucking it up again.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Learning tree.
SPEAKER_00And especially, and especially like uh it's also a good match because uh again, like um uh Damian Priest was like in this twilight and he was like battling these sides of himself. Yes. But for uh, you know, for him to gravitate towards Edge, who uh again, especially like after him coming back, you know, from his uh injury retirement, uh he's embraced this duality of himself. I mean, it's not like he's necessarily good, uh, but he's like, he's like, he's like either like, you know, he's like deranged or just legendary.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It it it it it it it literally is one or the other per match. It's not like in the middle of the match it switches, it's literally per match. It's just back and forth because he was he was uh legendary when he first came back. He was deranged when he, you know, when Randy Owen brought that out of him. Yeah, and then after that, he was trying to go against Roman Reigns, he was trying to be legendary again, but then slowly slid into deranged again, a legendary and married to Beth Phoenix when he was against the Miz and Marie's. Right. And then now he's like, well, fuck it. This legendary shit ain't working at all. Like, I came back, these fans ain't doing shit for me. Let's just go fuck fuck the reigns. I'm I'm I'm just sliding all the way over.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. It's almost like uh with him coming back, it's like he's like, he's like proving to himself and everyone that that he deserves all the flowers he's gotten and more. And I think and I think he flips into the range where that uh that that respect isn't where it needs to be. Right. Um I agree. And and it's it's definitely like no, he comes back, it's like, nope, I deserve this. Y'all gonna you know, y'all, y'all gonna see me do it, I can do it. And then he does it. Yeah. He always always delivers. Always. But then but then it's either the fan reaction or or it's or it's the WWE universe, like they they they don't they ain't giving what they're supposed to give.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, they don't reciprocate. I'm telling you, they were if they put a mic in my house, I'd give him all the flowers because he like what he's doing, the storytelling that he's providing is phenomenal.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, it's it's definitely it's fantastic. It's like if it's like uh it's like he wakes up one day and he's like, I'm uh I'm gonna be so amazing, they're gonna give it to me. And then and then he wakes up the next day and he's like, Oh, they're not trying to give it to me, so now I'm gonna take it.
SPEAKER_02And and the day he woke up and decided he was gonna take it was when he gave the and to your point about his promos being better post, I don't 100% agree, but I can't deny that his promos have haven't been fired. Um his promo when he was talking about like he literally was pissed verbally. He was you know, talking about how annoyed he was right before the switch or right during the switch when he said, I I had an opportunity against Roman Reigns, and because of my legendary or my positive side, I let that slip through my fingers and I got smashed and sacked at WrestleMania. He verbalized it, he said it out loud, and he was he was he was completely unapologetic. He was like, that shouldn't have happened, because uh we all know Daniel Bryan, that should have been a one-on-one match. And if it was a one-on-one match, it would have been fine, but it wasn't. Uh so you know, but we've we're going way too far into this again. Um, but yes, that when this match ended, you know, it was Edge versus AJ Styles. As I mentioned, you know, uh Damian Priest was appeared, existed outside of the ring, and he uh distracted, I guess, or AJ Styles, but he didn't distract, AJ Styles got distracted, and you know, Edge, of course, the ultimate opportunist, uh, took advantage and you know, pinned AJ Styles 1, 2, 3, and that was the cap of that match. Edge wins and now has a new colleague in his group uh by the name of Dave and Priest. Uh I I I I'm excited to see what's gonna happen because you know, whenever you add two people, uh whenever you have one person added to a group, that means more are coming. So I'm excited to see what they're gonna do with this group because you know everybody loved the brood when it first came out. Christian ain't coming back. Y'all just go ahead and let that go. The peeps ain't never gonna be the peeps on WWE, no boat.
SPEAKER_00And I and I don't need them to. I like let my let my memories of Christian be stick where they are. Yeah. Because everybody ever most of most of these old legendary niggas are not in Edge. I don't know how doing what he's doing.
SPEAKER_02In AEW, he's doing what he's doing, Christian. But I agree, Edge, we I mean, the thing is, Christian didn't get an injury like Edge did. So, yeah, like, but we'll talk about injuries later. Um, okay, so one match I'm I was very excited about to see. I don't know about about, but to see was Bobby Lassey versus Omos. Or Omos, or you know, everybody says a different language. Um I'm just gonna say Omos for this particular pro uh video, uh not video podcast episode, whatever. Um, so this this happened literally in the last like week and a half. Uh Omos was uh I said I was gonna say omos. Omos. Omos was in the ring. He had just, you know, the previous week he had just beat the Viking Raiders on a two-on-one match, and this time, you know, he's in the ring by himself, and he is uh talking to one of the uh uh reporters, and all of a sudden, you know, he's like, you know, I'll beat everybody, and nobody who can beat me. You know, normally that's when the bigger person comes out. My Tribal Chief is not gonna, you know, come out from you know, some some giants saying he can beat everybody. My Tribal Chief is the champion, so he didn't need to listen. Brock Lesnar was gonna come out because Brock Lesnar is busy with you know Roman Reigns. Uh uh and you know, there weren't many other big people available. So Bobby Lashley comes out and you know, there's a little back and forth. He tries to, you know, uh uh show his bigness, and you know, Omas keeps smooshing him over and over again. But then he does this little shoulder tackle, knocks himself off the feet, but also knocks Omas off his feet, which according to the commentators, the first time Omas has ever been knocked off his feet in his entire WWE reign or tutelage. Um now at this point, Omos is 100% um undefeated in singles competition, because of course he was a tag team champion with AJ Styles and they eventually lost those. But in singles matches, he's completely undefeated since his premiere uh at the previous WrestleMania. So, you know, he comes in this match, and you're like, it's Bobby Lashes uh versus Omos. How's this gonna work? And um for me, in terms of a giant versus a uh, as some people call them a freak, some people call them a monster. I prefer to call them monsters or mutants, actually. Um, so a mutant in the form of the Bobby Lashes versus the giant, I anticipated this to be a uh a heavy slobber knocker, like a back and forth with suplexes, tackles, all types of stuff. What'd you think?
SPEAKER_00Um I was also looking forward to see which way they would go. I was uh it it it kind of it would have been um what's the word? I was kinda I was kind of hoping that this this would have been an opportunity for Bobby Lashley to quote unquote fight smarter. Uh cuz cuz cause Oma's is still very green and he's all physical ability and I think about three chop blocks.
SPEAKER_02Especially after that neck off the uh corner of the turnbuckle. Uh I didn't mean to bring it up, but uh that uh I don't know if Oma's is gonna be on Monday Night Raw, but that was um like I know it's the biggest, it's the biggest Monday night raw because the bit is the one after WrestleMania, but I don't know what's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_00God bless all the muscles on the back of Bobby Lashes.
SPEAKER_02And you know he hit it because it made the sound, and you know they they made it kind of hollow where it shapes so it can make a sound when people hit it. But nah, and then and they had your dad's to do a replay, and you uh Yeah. I already had it burned into my retinas. I didn't need to see it again.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I think the commentary even mentioned, like it was just like, oh, y'all are making this real. It wasn't even like a regular like okay.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So uh so you know, so I was hoping I was hoping that uh Bobby would get to play smarter because honestly, he's even as a freak, they still don't I don't think they still give him the level of respect that he generally would deserve. So I don't I don't think he was gonna survive a back and forth with Omas because it's one thing if he like shot block and whittled him down and then started to toss him, that's not he did. That's not where he did.
SPEAKER_02He literally just yeah, just ran into a moment, you know. I I and the sad part is I think it's partly the commentators' problem. Not not the commentators, I'm sorry. The people who write the scripts for the commentators, uh, because it it they kept on doing this whole, you know, uh uh what's it removable force means the movable object, right? Like, uh what's it something force versus the immovable object? I'm sorry. Um stop movable force. There it is. And it seemed like that's what they just wanted to do, which is why I kept running into him.
SPEAKER_00And I'm like Yeah, and it's bad because it's like I knew he would succeed. Yeah, but also but but also you've taken so much out of yourself, slamming yourself against this literal wall.
SPEAKER_02Easily you saw what he you saw what he did, um, you saw what he did on Monday Night Raw when he like ran into him. He still fell on the ground. Yeah. So I don't I don't know if they thought that was gonna be great or if they thought it was gonna be a good good move. I don't know. But long story short, he rammed into Omos over and over again until he finally got Omos on the ground and then, you know, pinned him one, two, three. So Bobby Lashley beat Omas, which uh to Kaze's chagrin, uh, thank you, Moro, um was not good for Omos because as you said, he's still green. Not saying that he should have beaten Bobby Lashley, it could have been, you know, maybe he got really upset and got counted out, or you know, Bobby Lashley hit him with a chair, just something else. Because when you give him a loss as a giant, and you brought up the whole situation with uh Big Show or the Giant when he was in WCW or WWE earlier days, um, is that when a giant loses, they lose the mystique. And I was arguing with that because there are certain characters that if you lose against, you still keep it because these characters' mystique is even larger than that. So, like if you're a giant and you lose against the Undertaker, you're fine. Uh, even I even said in the now time, if you lose against a John Cena, well, let me not say John Cena, because some people have a feeling about John Cena being a uh a squasher if someone ignore that one. Let's say Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre has is the one that took uh suplexes at F5s and still Claymore Brock Lesnar and beat him in WrestleMania. So uh um losing against Drew McIntyre or Brock Lesnar does not take your mystique. Uh Roman Reigns is, as he says, my travel chief is in God mode now. Um so, you know, again, you lose against Roman Reigns. That doesn't take your mystique away. You're still, you know, a high-tier talent. Um, not saying Bobby Lashley doesn't have the mystique, because uh my defense was Bobby Lashley is in a uh uh, if not at near the Drew McIntyre level of Mystique. So losing against Bobby Lashley shouldn't take away anything from Almas because he beat everybody below Bobby Lashley, if you want to really call it the spade of spade. He's and he's currently the only giant other than I can't remember his name, but the one uh in the staple with um uh Ginder Mahal. But he's the only giant, other than him, he's the only giant on WW uh on uh Raw Smackdown. Uh oh, well, there's Commander Aziz, but he already beat Commander Aziz, so he's the biggest giant, the better giant. Um so at this point, it's like, well, you know, will he really like and I won't deny, you're right. Once a giant loses, it starts to begin a pattern where the smaller people start finding out ways to beat the giant. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because Big Show got beat by Rain Mysterio and all these different people, and it just it was it's like, it's it's it's like it's like that moment from uh I mean I'm a I'm a I'm a reference, I'm gonna reference it. I wanna but it's like that moment from Batman versus Superman, which is really a moment from uh from the comics. Okay. But y'all didn't see the comics, y'all saw the movie. But but it was it, but but you know, but Batman did all his little hijinks and traps and da-da-da. Yeah, and uh, and and and then Superman had to wipe some blood off his mouth. Yeah, and that's when he's like, okay, cool, that's all I want to know. You can bleed. And and that's you know, and that's what that moment is, is like is when the giant when you can make the giant bleed. Yeah, it's like okay, if you can bleed, then I can I can kill you. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, like I not not satisfaction, confirmation. There's yeah, uh-huh, yeah. But it's like affirmation. I know, because I think I because I think the mystics isn't just for us, it's for it's for the people they're fighting. That's true. So, so like so part of the reason why they're so hard to kill is that like you don't even know if there's even a point with all the work you're putting in. Yeah. So, so but but after you see someone else do it, and it's like, oh.
SPEAKER_02Right. Yeah, yeah, and and and my whole thing is if if I was to base it off of what you just said, if I I wish that and I get it, Bobby just came back after his you know shoulder injury from the elimination chamber. I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, concussion protocol from elimination chamber. Um that was crazy. Right. Um, and he just came back and they, you know, gave you know had that match with Omas. I wish that that story was a buildup. Because if it was a Bobby was fighting or they were fighting backstage, or this is like this ongoing thing where they were bothering each other and they never fought in a match, or even if they fought in a match and it was always a disqualification, count now, just the unfinished match, um, like Bobby has done in the past with other big people, that would have been perfect. But the fact that Bobby came back once the same night and within five minutes knocked him off his feet, something that nobody's ever been done but nobody's ever done before, comparatively to what we were talking about with um Appy Corbin and Drew McIntyre from night one, it's like once you break it, it's like, okay, well then that means the next step is I'm gonna use that or utilize that to you know beat the person. So the same thing, you know. Well, hopefully, well, what what we thought was gonna happen with uh Rhonda Rousey and you know uh uh Charlotte Flair, you know, getting her to tap out, which allegedly she didn't. Um but anyway, like we said, Bobby Lashley eventually beats Omas. Oh, Omas, sorry, um, and we'll see what happens Monday night, because uh either they're we're never gonna see him again or he's gonna come back with something. So, you know, now moving on to the next match. Now, this one, uh, I was looking, as I said on night one, I was looking for this match New Day, uh, which is Kofi Kingston and uh Xavier Woods, or sorry, King Woods, my apologies, uh, versus uh, I'm sorry, sorry, King Woods versus the right hand of the king, Kofi Kingston, uh, versus uh Seamus and Rich Holland featuring with, you know, Butch. Um was supposed to be on uh uh Saturday night uh WrestleMania got moved to Sunday night for time or what have you. I mean a lot of those matches from Saturday night were very long, and a lot of the interactions are very long. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Um so, but we finally had the match. I I wish we didn't have the match.
SPEAKER_00We might as well not. That was the match. I get it. Um, no, no, I don't get it. Nope, I can't even say it. Wait, what? No, I I appreciate the match because uh I was hungry and I needed and I needed an opportunity to go set some things up in the kitchen, and this match came at just the right time so that I could leave and uh get the um because you know you can't you can't just be watching WrestleMania hungry. You gotta get you gotta get some type of spread going. I don't know what you're talking about. We ordered food. Um so you know what? I had help, I had sides.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. I'm just gonna say shamus Rich Holland, beat New Day, do the butch, and and company. It just I don't want to talk about it.
SPEAKER_00I I I will say that uh a moment of silence for the bruiserweight. Thank you. Uh I appreciate it, I truly do. Because like, not not not that now that WWE has a great um history of treating people with the respect they deserve. Not only treating people with the respect they deserve, it's keeping niggas' names.
SPEAKER_02Big E, we still know you had a last name, bro. We know. Langston will come back. I mean until Rich Allen fucked it up.
SPEAKER_00So go ahead. Yeah, I was about to give up a part of uh Langston Hughes pump, but I forgot it. Wow. But uh but like and I didn't even watch NXT UK. I barely watched NXT, but like, but the matches that this man had with like an Adam Cole or like uh uh I don't actually I just remember Adam Cole But like whenever this man came out like these uh I th I think uh Gargano and Champa like like these these men like put like put on shows yes like and he had like the aura he has the the viciousness the uh the the the fact that I remember they called him a bruise away yeah is is it already speaks volumes yeah because you don't remember monikers you remember what his name was other than the bruiserway I didn't think so um like in the in the fake the the finger bending but uh fucking jutsu shit not jutsu like it was like that was that was so like unique it was his thing and like for y'all to like body manipulation like to me he was like him and Shana Baszler at the same time at NXT she's bending women's limbs he's bending men's limbs it was just it was good television but it made you want to look away from the screen a couple times right So for so for him to go from the Bruiserweight to uh that that one nigga under Corella Deville. What? Uh like it was such it's such it's such a level of difference, right? Um, so I don't know. Like, but y'all keep doing this and then y'all and it watch is it's gonna be uh like such and such is now AEW. That's that's how this shit happens.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He's all now all elite. Like that's literally what's gonna happen. Yeah, but you know, out of respect for the fact that I hope it comes back, I'm not gonna say what his name was. We'll keep it as a bruise away. Is uh yeah, we'll keep going. But yes, like I said, Sheamus and Rich Harlan beat the new day. Um also we had our uh women's uh tag team championship match, uh, and it was a fate of four-way. Um Queen Zelina and Carmella. Uh I'm sorry, Queen Zelina and the most beautiful woman in all of WWE Carmella. Uh the boss, Sasha Banks versus the Queen of Glow, Naomi. Uh Bria Ripley, the nightmare versus Liv Morgan, uh, and Natalia, the Queen of Hearts versus, I'm sorry, not versus Natalia uh and Shayna Baszler, the Queen of Spades. Uh writes it so. Yeah, 100% the Queen. I'm just saying. Um this was a this was a really good match. I I thoroughly enjoyed it because I love all of these women individually and definitely paired up. Um, you know, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan got this kind of like sub-dom relationship going on. I love it. Uh Queen Zelina Carmela, you know, got this stuck up, you know, faking like they, you know, not besties anymore, then they besties, and Carmela don't care about the tag team championships because she's getting married on Wednesday, and you know, Zelina's just trying to just trying to keep her championship in her crown. And then of course you got the boss and glow connection. They like, yo, that map, that move that they did, I don't know what they're gonna call it, but that shit was lit, literally, because you know, you know, Naomi got glowed. Anyway, anyway, but no, the map the move was dope. Like, I'm I'm sorry. Was that on Liv Morgan? I think Liv Morgan received that move. Liv Morgan be taking all the hits. She took that hit from Shana Baszler in the Elimination Chamber, and we haven't forgotten it since you got Bayes Lipgirl. I'm sorry. Um, but honestly, watching this entire match. Is that a move called Bankruptcy? Whose move? That move? No, is there a move called Bank? There is not. It's called her move is called the Bank Statement, but bankruptcy, no.
SPEAKER_00I'm trying. Oh, but the bank statement is the submission, right? Yes. What's the knees called?
SPEAKER_02The knees, uh, which one? Behind the back, the backstabber into a bank statement.
SPEAKER_03Backstabber, yeah. I don't want to do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, but then, you know, honestly, in my opinion, Natalia and Shayla Basler had the majority of this match. Like, they was, you know, getting throwing, you know, women off of turnbuckles, uh, off the apron. They was, you know, putting people submission holes. Like, they were and and I'm surprised that Natalia and Shayna Baszler didn't win this match. To be completely honest, I'm happy who won, but I'm surprised they didn't win. Um, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, I feel like they're they're coming up into their own in terms of you know, uh, a tag team. Uh, I just feel like there's a couple of things that aren't completely gelled yet. Yeah, so you know, it's I'm I'm hoping, you know, they'll figure it out and they become a tag team because they they only just got together a couple weeks ago. Um, Sasha Naomi, team bad, you know, bring back Tamina. Ain't nobody Mina, then Tamina. Um, Sasha Banks and Naomi. I I knew this is gonna be lit this entire this this this this tag team. When they announced it a couple weeks ago, I was like, they gonna win. Is this is full proof because Sasha's already been a woman's tag team champion. All she needed was somebody, uh I'm sorry, Bailey. Uh all she needed was Naomi. Um because Naomi ain't gonna stab nobody in the back. Uh so yeah. Uh I wish Zelina and Carmela state champions, but you know, like I said, Carmela, she just wanted to get married and have her honeymoon, so she's gone.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I I I'll just say that uh I hope when I hope that when Sasha gets tired of all this teamwork.
SPEAKER_03Oh, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_00What are you doing? Don't do that. Don't do that. Let's just with this we we cannot they can this is not have a match for a few weeks and then let's just have her this just have her show up do solo matches. Don't she don't need to turn on nobody, she don't need to put she don't do no banks.
SPEAKER_02There is no way in hell that they're gonna do that. As much as I don't want her to not be in a tag team with Naomi, they are not not going to take advantage of a Sasha Banks turn. Like Sasha Banks has turned on Bailey, on uh Charlotte, um Becky, she's turned on everybody. Actually, she really didn't turn on Becky, she never really fucked with Becky. So let's not even go there. What would you think about a Naomi turn? See, and that's the thing. I would love that. And and join the tribal chief, the bloodline. Oh shit. I wouldn't talk about that. We would I've been talking about it for years, but I already know, even when she was on Team Bad, Naomi voiced on Total Divas. She doesn't like having to play a bad character because it's so much extra work, because it's not who she is. But I will say, she doesn't have to be an evil or bad character. She literally can be who she was against Sonya Deville. Yeah. Like a you ain't finna fuck with my bag type of bitch. Like a you ain't finna, like, look, I'm here for a reason. I'm a two-time SmackDown tag team champion. I have won the uh uh um the women's battle royal at WrestleMania. I have done so many things and you ain't done shit, Sonya Deville. You ain't finna take money out of my purse. I'm here to wrestle. You told me how to match was my match. You you ain't finna mail my check up in here. Like, if she comes up with that, like she don't need a turn here.
SPEAKER_00She doesn't need a turn. If she needs a turn, uh, you won't pay what you won't.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. And all she needs is for uh Sasha to be like, well, I'm the boss. You stay there with your little glow. That's all that nudge, over and done. Over and done. And then Naomi, and because the thing is, and as we saw after WrestleMania, uh uh um uh or after uh was it WrestleMania or raw? I forget. But we had you know the documentary evil when they showed Roman Reigns, you know, story, uh backstory, and he was like, this is who he is, you know, the Oost was even saying it, Rikishi, uh his uncle was saying it, everybody was saying it, this is who he is at home. Yeah. All he did was turn it up a notch, the character. And if Naomi is a, although she's nice, friendly, everything, if she's also not a woman, like, like um, like Victoria, uh, back in the day, Victoria's music used to say, I ain't the lady to mess with. Like, as long as you keep that same energy, exactly, you ain't gotta be evil. You you could just be the lady not to mess with. And then do the do the Victoria twerk. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00Well, it wasn't the twerk, it was a shape, but you know, biggie. Like, yeah, like you're too nice, but you're too dancing, yeah. And you like, oh yeah, y'all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, y'all taking this kindness for weakness, is what you're gonna do. Right, right. Which is what she was saying to uh uh to uh um I said I forgot the name that quick. So you devil. She was like, look, I know I'm nice, but you ain't finna take my comments for weakness. So, yeah. Um, yes, but of course, the winners of the women's tag team match were Sasha Banks and Naomi. They are our new WWE women's tag team champions. Uh so that makes Sasha Banks either a two or three-time, three-time, three-time women's tag team champion, phenomenal. Naomi one-time as well as a two-time SmackDown women's champion, and Sasha Banks, I think she's a six-time, five or six-time champion, so phenomenal across the board. So we'll see what they're gonna do in the future. Then we had the Raw Tag Team Championship match, RK or triple threat match, RK Bro versus the Street Props, well, versus the Street Prophets versus Alpha Academy. This was a match. Now, granted, we technically already seen this format of a match on Raw several weeks ago, but this is WrestleMania.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like Randy Orton is gonna take it up to an F degree because he ain't finna lose the WrestleMania. Uh Street Prophets, they got they they the ones that challenged RK Brun Donald Oliphant Riddle and uh um Randy Orton's face. So you ain't about to you ain't gonna say we want the smoke and not and and not be ready for the smoke. And then you have the Alpha Academy, shoes. How do you know I was gonna do it?
SPEAKER_00Um the worst thing about that is I I wasn't watching the cruelty. So like I thought he was having a stroke. I didn't even like, you know, and I know like he's like he's like digging digging his heels in, it's being unlikable. But now it's like is like usually there's when you're being unlikable, there's a nice division of character in person. But now it's like, oh now it's you. I hope you can come up with it.
SPEAKER_02Because I might not forget. It reminds me of Kurt Angle when he lost the uh the um the hair versus hair match and had to wear that wig with the wrestling cap, and he was like telling people about themselves and almost like right to censor-ish, and had the little ukulele playing with the rock, like all of those different characters that Kurt Ang, I know this is all different time periods, but all the different characters that Kurt Angle had to play or chose to play. I that's what I feel like it was. Because like he found something, like you said, like you you didn't watch Raw, you didn't know any of this is happening, yet as soon as you heard that sound, you was like, what the fuck is that? So that means so that means he he excellently played the perfect character and made the perfect choice in annoying you to an end, you you that's your first time experiencing that, and you were immediately annoyed. It was it was it was golden.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean it was effective. I guess I'll say that um I think I was uh one the the the kind of transformation of his character from what he was before now Oh, we miss you, Jason Jordan, but we know you're executive, so it's cool. It was uh it's uh it's it's it's been a building of it's kind of the opposite of the uh Big E thing.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00To where they were like, nope, there's no spark there, you gotta get mean. But he took the advice. He did. Uh so I guess it's like um I mean Big E took, you know, Paul Heyman's advice. Yeah, continue. Uh Paul Heyman. Right.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00But uh The wise man, sorry. So it's kinda like, so it's kind of like, you know, Gable kind of took the, you know, took took the hint, took the advice and kind of changed it. So I guess I was kind of I I thought that was unfortunate that he felt the need to do that, and he couldn't just turn up his natural whatever was there.
SPEAKER_02Well, don't forget, before he took the advice, he he lost a match against what was he at the time? King Corbin? And his name got turned to Lucky or Jockey or it was something ridiculous. It wasn't Gable. It wasn't his name.
SPEAKER_00The disrespect was palpable. It was palpable. Yeah, no, so he was in a much worse. Yes, so taking the advice at that point was ideal. No, it made sense. But but so I guess part of that, so again, I thought it was unfortunate, but it was uh, but also he was he did he uh he he started the academy. Yep, he picked the perfect person at the perfect time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right. Like Otis losing his taxi partner in Tucker, and then the whole Mandy Rose saga, and Mandy Rose going to NXT, like Otis, Otis would have probably either been fired or would have sat in the back for years or months. Because he was as untapped. He was untapped potential, all this potential. So the fact, and the thing about it is, and you don't learn about it until after the fact, like uh Otis and and Chad Gable wrestled in the same wrestling squad years before WWE. So they already knew each other. So would their stories eventually get to each other? We don't know. Because like I said before, Chad Gable was in NXT wrestling with um Jason Jordan. They weren't Alpha Academy, they were um they were Alpha something. American American Alpha. Ah, that was their name. And of course, uh um uh Otis was with Tucker with Heavy Machinery.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_02So, you know, they were on completely different tag teams, but they they were friends, they knew each other, they've been wrestling for years, profession uh uh um Olympic wrestling for years. So, you know, now they both got to pro wrestling. Of course, Alpha, uh American Alpha got to the big name first, but then they got separated, even though they won championships, they got separated and Jason Jordan became you know Kurt Angle's son, and Gable faded into the background slowly. So I mean he was winning matches, don't get me wrong, but he slowly faded into background, and then eventually he had to cut his hair to change his look, and then like I said, the whole thing of uh I'm skipping years, of course. The whole thing with uh Corb uh Corbin got his name changed, I don't remember what he called him. And then now, like you said, taking that advice, changing it up, picking Otis, or deciding not picking, but getting back with Otis and this transformation of Otis. Like, Otis is a giant on his own, even though he's the shortest motherfucker in the room. Yeah, like by bar none by far. Like, and and what he is what they are doing, the fact that they became tag team champions just a couple weeks ago, at I think that was a day one, phenomenal. Like, it was such a a such a good thing to do. And they beat RK Bro. So that that that's not only a tag team championship, that's a win over Randy Orton and Matt Riddle. Like, phenomenal. So they were already an amazing tag team. Then, of course, the Street Proppers, I don't talk about Street Proppers, they want the smoke, they'll get the smoke, they'll take the smoke. Red Solo Cups, I don't know if you can hear that on the podcast. It's my red solo cup. I was ready for this all day in the paint. They want the smoke. Um, but the problem was my man Montez went up to the heavens, came back down, uh, I thought he was about to win, but then Alpha Academy came and got in the way, but they got their just desserts. Actually, that's not even all the way true because Kazak keeps talking about this scream that Montez let out when when uh Matt Riddle jumped off in the apron and it was about to hit him with the RKO from the top, bro.
SPEAKER_00The intrinsic fear I felt. With Matt Riddle fucking perched on because Montez is is is is in the corner, and Riddle literally perched on the rope.
SPEAKER_02On the rope, not the corn, not the turnbuckle, not the apron. On the rope. On the rope. Barefoot. Yeah, barefoot. It made eye contact with this nigga. Yep. Which let out that scream. Yeah, right. Yep. Because he knew what was coming. Yep. Because there's not many things you can do. And you already know what Matt Riddle's about to do. So Yeah, that was that shit. Oh my lord. I think the most the best thing about that is he wasn't, they weren't the ones that were pinned. They were not legal, because I was happy about that. And then, of course, I don't know why fucking uh Chad Gable or Gable decided to do a blind uh uh was that a moonsault? Yes, blind moonsault from the turnbuckle and try to hit it on riddle. And it's like you can't be blind and have your back turn in a match against Randy Orton. It's not safe for nobody, no one, like, it doesn't make any sense. Like, you know that Randy Orton is not not king of, because he's the only one that does it. He is Mr. RK, RKO out of nowhere. Like, why would you put yourself in a situation where you was about to get that work and show, and sure enough, like he did a moon blind moonsault and RKO out of nowhere. Was it a moonsault or was it a headbutt? I don't remember. All I know is his neck was in the way. And Randy Orton took it.
SPEAKER_00Like, and so I I I think I think the way where Orton is at this point, I think Orton could be damn near damn near unconscious. But if he senses that you are not paying attention. A bacon neck. Right. That that's like a vampire. Yeah, that nigga, he will come to and do what he has to do. Like he it's like again, he again, he can be damn near unconscious because he can do the shit in his sleep. In his sleep. So all you have to do is not give him that opportunity. He's gonna beat you anyway.
SPEAKER_02But don't give him like there are too many high flyers or even people who go up on the top rope who have given Randy Orton opportunity. Chad Gable being one. Um at WrestleMania a couple years ago, uh Seth Rollins. I jumped off the back trying to trying to curb stop Randy Orton, jumped off the back of uh Randy Orton, got flinged into the air into an RKO. Evan Bourne, I still remember that. That Evan Bourne RKO from the shooting star press. Evan Bourne is one of the sickest top rope specialists, aerial aces I've ever seen. And his shooting stars, shooting star press was always clean and well ironed and crisp. So to have something so from South Africa, so clean and smooth, like he just flew from Cape Town and get that RKO from the Orton legacy, like it mm-mm. He didn't deserve that, but he got it. It was given a parallel. Ooh! It wasn't fair. Uh but yes, so this triple threat match, it was back and forth, back and forth. But like we said, uh Chad Gable made the mistake of going for that moonsault when Randy Orton was, what's that word? Coiled and ready to strike. Right. And he got that art, he got that work, he got that RGO. See, Off Academy wasn't ready for the smoke. Street Pro wasn't ready for the smoke, off Academy was not ready for the smoke, and that's why they got pinned. One, two, three, RKO, uh sorry, RK Bro retains their Brawl Tag Team Championships. Now, uh, ladies and gentlemen, people, binary, non-binary, all those who are listening, uh, we have now come to the point in our table where we're going to discuss uh my your tragedy, the bloodline.
SPEAKER_03The title versus title Unification Match The Biggest Match of all time The WWE champion versus your tragedy, your head of the table, your Samoan Smash Your Universal Heavyweight Champion.
SPEAKER_02Roman Rain. This this match, I've I've seen a lot of speculation over the last couple of days leading up into this match. People were like, oh, it's another Roman Brock Lesnar match, and you know, oh Roman this, oh Brock Lesnar that. And of course, all the stuff that, you know, he's been called a cowboy Brock at this point because he's got cowboy hats and everything else. But and even though Roman the last couple weeks was walking away from the rap the ring, I knew what Roman was doing. And if anybody was listening to Pat McAfee these last couple weeks, who is also enthralled with our tribal chief, he never said he was running away. He said that he was strategically retreating. Why would I put myself into a ring with Brock Lesnar before a WrestleMania biggest match of all time and get myself F5, Suplex, uh Kamorlocks, any of that? Why would I try to do that to myself? I've done it!
SPEAKER_00So what do I have to do with?
SPEAKER_02I don't. But I know I have a match with you, but I'm not about to put myself into a situation where I'm gonna ruin on top of that. Everybody knows our tribal team is about the money. Biggest money match of all time, publication, uh syndication, unification, all the vacation was happening at this at WrestleMania Sunday night. Biggest money match of all time. Like, come on. Why would I mess that up? And and COVID is out here, all these things. I'm I I'm I have to dodge the bacteria and all these people everywhere. I'm not about to fuck it up. I'll get into the Ring of Problems before this match happens. So we have this match. Boy, this this I'm gonna let you go first, because I got things to say. We're wrapping it up on this one. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00I don't know, that was a good idea. Um, I was pretty uh I was I mean, I was as into the match as can be expected. I think I'm getting some uh uh some uh uh beast tribal chief fatigue. Uh it's like it's it's I mean it's usually it's usually a good time, it's a good But I I appreciate just watch watching him get his ass whooped because the the way he's been utilized. He pretty much ended my my childhood. Yep. Every one of them. Yeah. Like like if he didn't if he didn't personally destroy everyone from the attitude era. Yep. He he he he destroyed the person who beat the person who was in attitude era.
SPEAKER_02The only person he didn't destroy was uh Latino Heat, Eddie Guerrero, who beat him for the Undersweeted Championship. May I remind you. Oh, thank you. You're welcome. Oh, I keep that in my heart. F5 The Rock, F5 Triple H, F5 Undertaker, F5 uh Stone Coasty Fawcett. But you know who I kept in my heart? Huh? Latino Eat.
SPEAKER_00I'm sorry, go ahead. Yeah, no, that was beautiful.
SPEAKER_03Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Um so, you know, so I wasn't uh you know, I was expecting uh the tribal chief to uh pull another one out. Uh I was I think I was actually kind of disappointed. Um like you know, the match was kind of going as expected, then the the energy was where it was where it was kind of supposed to be at. But uh that submission. You mean the one that the my tribal chiefs show became on? It's called a kamorlock. Yeah, that that that Kamorlock uh like you know, and I and I don't know if it I don't know if it's this point where it's like he just didn't he just don't give a fuck. He doesn't or he just he just trying to sell it.
SPEAKER_02My personal opinion about the Kamorlock, whether that was real or fake, is that in my opinion, the Kamorlock is one of the most difficult moves to fake. Because as we were all watching, Brock Lesnar's, even Pat McAfee mentioned it, Brock Lesnar's face was turning purple while he was applying the Kamorlock. And he wasn't in the hold. So that's either one of two things. Either Brock Lesnar is a phenomenal actor and can make himself suffocate and turn colors on cube, or he was actually putting in the amount of uh uh of grappling strength on this vice to the point where it popped out Ron Reigns' shoulder, which he even said to both the ref and uh uh uh uh Paul Heyman, the wise man. So I'm sorry, continue. You were talking about the submission. I just wanted to give my two cents on that.
SPEAKER_00I mean, yeah, so like yeah, you know, the that was like that was kind of a sharp uh term for the match. Like it's it looked it looked like uh it looked like some you know communication happened.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh and then uh, you know, and in the match like ended shortly after that, and that's then that's generally not not what you look forward to in a uh tribal chief uh uh beast match. Like the the the exciting thing for me uh with with these two is the fact that uh uh whether through sheer endurance or guile or uh or just playing smart that he can he can survive Brock. Because you can't beat Brock unless you you can survive Brock. True. Um so the fact that like the that the Well, um I'm not sure Coldberg. Sorry. Oh man, I hope he stays away. Talk about destroying childhood. Um the fact that like after that submission uh and the dam and the damage that I think I think I even saw before after images of like swelling uh like from the arm and the shoulder. Yeah, they showed it right after. Um yeah, so it was kind of this this the the sharp I guess decline to the momentum of the match after that was kind of I guess disappointing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah I mean personally, I feel like that was the end of the match. I I don't think it's possible they could have had more to go, but I feel like that was the end of the match in terms of time, in terms of buildup. Because on top of what you said earlier and what people have been saying leading up to Sunday, is a lot of people retired of Brock versus Roman. So, you know, extending that match even longer, I don't think was necessary. That that match was long. That match was already at least 10-15, uh, 10-15, maybe 20 minutes in terms of length. Might have been longer than that. I I didn't even time it. But it was, you know, a back and forth of Superman punches and spears and uh German suplexes, because Lord knows Roman tried his best not to get German, German, and he was getting a bunch of belly-to-bellies, but then eventually he got turned around, and then the Germans came. Um and then there's F-Fs and it was just a lot. Uh and yes, that that uh because shortly after the shoulder being out of place, Roman uh I forget if he popped it out right after the match, or he popped it out right before he hit oh no no, he still it was still detached and he hit Brock with the final spear. Brock had already taken like two or three spears before that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but it was already like one of those high-tier matches where all the regular moves was already switched out with finishers. True. So they was just trading finishers. That doesn't shorten a match.
SPEAKER_02Yes, it does. As I said on night one, you play it, you watch it like you play a video game. If you have nothing but finishers, finishes are going when you're out for gobbles. So you hit you hit five finishes, and or rather five signatures and then two finishes, it's gonna do it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but yeah, but I mean, but we've seen it, we've seen this before. So it's kind of like for again, I don't ever want to see this match again. So for never wanting to see it again, I wanted it to be. So what you're saying is just like the greatest match of all time, this is not the biggest match of all time. Uh yeah, like I don't, like if I had to rank just their matches, I'm not I'm not even sure it would be top three.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02I will say in terms of the stakes, in terms of the characters, in terms of the.
SPEAKER_00Which is probably was part of the reason why I felt this way.
SPEAKER_02Ah, okay. So you're saying the stakes were not worth the show that was given. Yeah. Well, my response to that is my travel chief performed. And uh my head, the the head of my table, uh, who provided entertainment for us all, uh, not only showcased his endurance and his ability to withstand a serious injury, uh, he was also able to become our unified WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion of the World.
SPEAKER_00You're welcome. I mean, and one thing I will uh uh an upside out. Because he smashed him! I'm sorry I had to say that, my apology uh and pend him. Sorry, go ahead. I guess not it, it uh like the match kind of felt like it went it went out with uh not a bang, more of a, you know, not a sigh either. More just is like, yeah, but boom, boom close, yeah. Like, so like it, but I think I think them willing to let Brock lose like that, I'm hoping that he can just kind of peter, start petering out now.
SPEAKER_02I mean, and and that was actually what I was gonna say is with um with Brock, or with Roman, uh, with the tribal, our tribal chief, who else is there? Like, the only other people, he's already beaten Drew, like in terms of like big names. He's already beaten Drew, he beat, I mean, unless they bring Seamus back, um, there's Bobby, the possibility. Um, there's, you know, he's already beaten AJ, he's beaten Edge. Like, you have to think of like the big names. And if Brock's beaten everyone, and Roman beat Barack and unify, excuse me, unify the championships, it's like, okay, well, what's next? What is going to happen next? And, you know, I'm hoping I agree. I am hoping that they don't return back to the to the sauce again or the mold and say, okay, well, let's bring back Barack again. Um, I'm hoping either they build somebody new from the ground up. Yeah, that's that's what I'm waiting for. I don't know. But who? I mean, but wait, we're we're looking we're looking at the work they're doing. I'm about to say, if you try to build somebody up, that means they're either gonna they're gonna fast track somebody. Because these already be the only people who are even close to that tier status right now are people who have been there before. Or if you count new people, closest to being old but new, I said I was about to say old but new would be a Lashley. Finn Balor's been in United States, uh United States, Universal Champion before. Um Edge still wants his one-on-one, so that's a possibility. Because he's being building a faction now uh with Damian Free, so maybe they'll be bloodline versus that, whatever they call themselves. Um I don't think I wouldn't be surprised if there was. Well, no, because uh uh uh My Tropical Chief has only been on SmackDown, and Orton predominantly has been on Raw. I don't think he's ever been on SmackDown, so I don't think he's unified, we can Yeah no, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now he can be on both, he'll I'm sure he'll be on both shows. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on Money Night Raw tomorrow um and on SmackDown on Friday. So um I think now, not that he hasn't fought all of these people before, the older people, yeah, but now you know these championships allot him the ability to fight everybody.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and um especially like they uh he he knows them, but they don't know him. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the new him, and that's key. Yeah, they do not know the new him, and I think that is going to definitely set some stages for new stories and um new premises. I mean, I don't say new stories because it's pretty much our tribal chief versus everybody else. Uh the bloodline versus the world. I'm sorry, I would turn around, but I don't feel like turning around right now. We the ones uh on the back of the shirt.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, um yeah, I I'll I'll say that uh if if if we have a uh RK Row versus Bloodline thing, y'all don't y'all don't need to have uh rat uh uh Matt Matt Matt Riddle beat up uh the Usos by himself. That's not y'all, y'all, y'all.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'm sure they'll try to find somebody else to add, because that's that's it's the Usos. I mean, not saying Matt Riddle couldn't like beat up one in the match and then the other one tries to jump in and then he helps. But I've seen actually the Usos went to Raw a couple weeks ago and beat Matt Riddle senseless. Because Randy wasn't there that night.
SPEAKER_00So Randy's I mean no, I'm I'm they are they are completely fine at jumping someone. I'm saying I'm saying when when someone, when someone, when it's time for someone to uh to attack or assault the tribal chief, the the Usos get relegated to henchman level, and now and now people who are maybe slightly better than one of them now they can just punch, punch, and Uso is fly back.
SPEAKER_02Like Okay, okay, so that has been happening, but again, those were against big name people. That hasn't happened recently. Like, only people who've done that recently is a Brandy Orton, a uh actually Randy Orton hasn't even done that. Uh Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and maybe Bobby Lashley?
SPEAKER_01No, Bob Lesnar had an issue with him.
SPEAKER_02It was uh And anybody who has done it, who isn't one of those two names, the Usos eventually come right back out and then they jump them.
SPEAKER_00So it was like a you know knockout, you fall to the side, ah, you know, uh and I and I was uh I was conflating the Usos and the uh the hurt business niggas. Oh no, no, no, no. Because I was uh because they was treat they treat them the same a lot of times.
SPEAKER_02A lot of times, but the difference like I'm looking at your leader, yeah, and now and now you you getting in my way ain't you're right, but the problem is they deflated, not conflated, but deflated the hurt business to the point where Bobby, like I've there was sometimes that they were supposed to be jumping somebody, the person would beat up still Cedric and Shelton, and Bobby would still be beating that person up by himself to the point where why did he need the hurt business? So it's like they easily could have ended that story that way, where it was like, well, Bobby's bigger than this, because like you guys keep failing anyway, and uh, I'm pretty much fighting four people on one by myself. But anyway, we ain't talking about that. So, end of WrestleMania night two, absolutely phenomenal. My tribal chief ends the night, unified champion. I cannot wait to see what happens next. The bloodline is leading the path, they have all the gold. Wait, they don't have all the gold. Ooh. I'm excited, they're gonna get all the gold, y'all. Ooh, I don't know. We'll see. Anyway, um, but yeah, they they have all the the I don't know what's gonna happen now. Like, I like I was worried that they were gonna unify, unify them, like into one belt. So maybe that's what they're gonna show us on Monday is a unified championship, because they've done that before, but then you know they separated them again. Uh so we'll see what happens.
SPEAKER_00Um but uh the team bad, they they got the belt, right? Yeah. So that'd be fascinating. Are they on the show show? Well, no, I mean the women's championship goes on both shows anyway. Right. I don't know if the boss would work with the child with cheese. Like, I mean, I figure she would be maybe kind of tertiary, like side, like maybe she maybe When have you ever known Sasha Banks would be a side? I know only. If anything, that would be what's separate. Not not not as, yeah. Yeah, but not as part of a whole storyline, but maybe like uh like if if na if Naomi is coming, like like say like say the Uso's go get the belts again. And then and again, like you said, they they want to have all the gold. So if if if my baby got the gold.
SPEAKER_02That's true, that's true, then then it would be nothing but a conversation.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, and then and so so I'm saying, so so if they did, so if they have this moment where they're bringing all the gold together, okay, Sasha's part of part of it.
SPEAKER_02Actually, and if Sasha particip participates, she's not Samoan, but if she participates, she could be raw while Naomi SmackDown, women's champion, while having the tag team championships. Because it's not like she didn't do that with Baylor. Right. That'd be fascinating. That would be you see, we we storytellers out here. Anyway, sorry. All right, so that's the wrap-up. That's the end of our episode. Uh WrestleMania, the most stupendous WrestleMania, WrestleMania 38. Um looking towards the next year's agenda. Wow.
SPEAKER_03Oh god.
SPEAKER_02Um I'm so excited from all of our different all the different winning winners. Uh uh POCs are are running the game right now. They are beautiful. They are definitely excellent. Oh, oh, all up and down everywhere. Um it's so amazing. Uh, so I'm really excited to see what happens next. Uh let's you know move forward. Um uh I hope we can do a lot more of these episodes in the future. Um, as you know, uh as Kaze alluded to, uh I am a wrestling fan, WWE specifically. I am about to get more into AEW. I've uh I've always dabbled in Ring of Honor, Impact, and uh New Japan. So I'm gonna get heavily heavier into those so we can have more conversations. Uh so our blurred out there who are wrestling fans as well, you're not excluded from the blurred experience, obviously. So if you want to have more episodes like this, more videos, no content like this, feel free to send us a message in our mailbag, blur uh the blurred spectrum at armorstark.com, or reach out to us, uh DM us on Instagram, uh uh or Facebook or Twitter or I know it's another one. Anyway, but it's uh uh uh Blurred Spectrum or The Blurred Spectrum. Um and then of course if you want to comment on anything that I've said or correct anything that I've said because I know that's how some a lot of wrestling fans are, uh you can reach out to me on Instagram. That's Suchi underscore no underscore shogun. Um and then Kazi, how can you be reached?
SPEAKER_00Uh I mean you you don't need to correct me, but you know I'll be wrong when it comes to wrestling sometimes. But uh because I was just wrong, wrong. Oh, but uh yeah, you know, you can reach me at uh Bear3B uh on Instagram.
SPEAKER_02So uh like I said, we'll be doing a lot more of these in the upcoming weeks and in the future. Actually, we might even do this for WrestleMania Backlash uh because they announced it and I'm like, like when they started doing that a couple years ago, I was like, oh, so yeah, okay. Well so is it just is it just gonna be the rematches from the match? Is it gonna be reverse of uh WrestleMania? We'll see. So I'm excited to see what matches come about. So we'll definitely stay tuned and you know, if we'll either do an episode or catch us on YouTube um and we'll, you know, maybe start doing playlists of this uh uh immediate reactions, or we'll just go live for certain events and maybe you guys can watch along with us. Um but yeah.
SPEAKER_00Let us know what you prefer. Oh, uh yeah, and uh look looking forward to uh Becky and Brock not being a backlash.
SPEAKER_02How dare you? It's probably gonna happen. Uh oh, I don't know about Brock, but Becky might not. Becky might be there. Um can't wait to see what Cody does. Woo!
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_02But yes, thank you, and until next time, Sayonada. Au revoir.
