Welcome back to the Blurred Spectrum Podcast, everyone. We are here this week to give you a brand new hot spanking anime review, uh, Blur Q anime review 2022, summer into fall. What have you seen? What are you gonna see? What did you like? What are you gonna like? What are you anticipating? What are you craving? We are here to talk about each and every one of those special little things uh called anime. Uh yeah. So um we have done uh each one per quarter, of course. This particular one is the fall to fall to winter, no, summer to fall, summer to fall, summer to fall 2022 anime review. Uh, there have been quite a few anime that have come out this year. Uh there are the fall schedule is lit. Like October is is bussing. And uh November and December is gonna be lit as well. Um, I've been told that we didn't really have much in the summertime. I would like to disagree because I saw plenty of anime this past month, uh this past season rather. Uh, but we're here, uh my myself and the panelists are here to talk about those individual anime, those different shows that have come out. Uh, so of course let me introduce our panelists for this uh beautiful episode, starting with myself, Suchino Shogun, your moderator. I also have uh The Doctor. What's good? And I have Miss Sione Cosplay. Hello! So we've scaled it down in terms of size because we want to get to you the episode as fast as possible. So uh there are a variety of different anime that have come out. I'm gonna let my other panelists go first because I have a long list. Uh so I will start with uh The Doctor. What anime did you watch this past summer 2022 season?
SPEAKER_00Uh, so the one that stands out as something I really enjoyed, uh Kakaguru Twin. So I loved Kakaguri, uh Kakagurui that's really, really interesting, you know, you know, about um Yimiko Jabari as like the gambling, um, you know, kind of a gambling protagonist. He was a little bit of a sociopath, but in a fun way. And um, you know, I was interested in Kakaguru Twin, it follows um the backstory of Mary, who was one of the you know, semi-bane characters, I'll call it in the original anime. Um, but it kind of goes through how she started up. And it's really interesting, without, you know, without getting like too too spoilery, it kind of shows how her rise starts within the high school and you know, her um really starting to it puts her in the protagonist seat, you know. It's gonna be the kind of tree she uses and how she navigates the politics of everything. And you know, honestly, I I always thought that she was kind of um not I wouldn't call her bland, I never thought she was bland, but she was definitely a character who I think you know occasionally got shine, but not really in the original C you know series. Like, you know, we got some fun like bits and pieces of her, but she was definitely more of a supportive side character than anything. So it's kind of interesting to see this, you know, this um Kakaru twin make her just a lot more interesting and a lot more, you know, kind of put her in a leadership role. And you know, it's it's really fun. Like, really like it. Um, it really has a lot of the charm that Kakarui, you know, has um amazing with like the facial expressions and like the way emotion is conveyed. So yeah, like that's their they're really good with that.
SPEAKER_06Like I've only seen the still shots and the gifts. Y'all are y'all are nasty.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, I would highly recommend it. I think that's definitely the number one anime that I've like really, really enjoyed this past summer.
SPEAKER_06So would you say it gave Mary the like additional character building? That's that's what Twin has been doing?
SPEAKER_00Yes. So you got to kind of like see her lead her, you know, small little team in their schemes to gain power and rise up and you know make money in the system so that they can um, you know, be top dog essentially.
SPEAKER_06So this was this was a I forget what that word is, prelude, prologue. This was uh uh pre pre to the first cat. I'm not gonna mess up the name. Yeah, so it wasn't a continuation, it was a pre-right gotcha. Okay, pre-cool. There it is. Pre-cool gotcha. Oh, yeah, pre-cool. Um, okay, awesome. Um, and then uh miss uh Sayo Day cosplay. Uh we know that OC, this she does this every time. I feel like you're doing it on purpose now. Uh you can't just, you can't, uh, you, you, you, you just can't. It's not okay. Uh now I know I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm talking and she hasn't said anything yet, but she she did what she always does, which is turn on her camera while people are in the middle of talking and and slap people with like the colors and and and the the wardrobe and the makeup and the everything. Go ahead. What you doing this time? Who who are you embodying this time?
SPEAKER_02Uh Halloween. So, you know, it's my the favorite time of year for me. It's the only Halloween that matters. Oh wow.
SPEAKER_06Okay. So I know that you had been watching very few, very few anime uh this past season. Um, or I guess this this year, because you've been extremely busy. Uh what is the anime that you wanted to talk about specifically for this episode?
SPEAKER_03Um, I would definitely uh suggest Blue Period, which was an anime that Suchi had greatly suggested to me. Look at that. I was hiding the feelings for quite some time. I was like, there's no blood, there's no there's no violence in this. Like whack. But there's depression. That is true.
SPEAKER_02I was like, oh well, maybe this this is actually kind of nice.
SPEAKER_03You know, I can't I can relate to this. Uh it was um, it's actually very beautiful. It uh I don't want to get too deep into it, but it revolves around uh protagonist who is an all-star uh when it comes to education, half of the class, and the one thing that they're not too good at is art. And I think they had a classmate kind of challenge them, and they were the worst in the class. They couldn't understand the concept of art, which a lot of I would say a lot of scholars sometimes have an issue with. I don't know if it's like the right side of the brain that's utilized, and the left side of the brain is more so uh creative um creativity. Um, and uh doctor, the doctor could definitely uh correct me if I'm wrong. Um, but so he had a huge challenge with that, and then also self-identity and you know, achieving, uh but like what does it mean uh for himself? Like what what is being himself meant? And I think it was it was a what a beautiful coming of age, and I don't like slice of life. So it didn't give me slice of life, it gave me coming to age, which is like one of those, those little sub, like I don't know, those those genres that I can I can rock with sometimes because it gives me like nostalgic 90s, coming of age in high school, finding yourself. Uh, but it had to be specific, and art was the weight of my heart. So she did a very good job with that, and the graphics were beautiful. Oh my god, the graphics are beautiful. It almost uh yes, like it was very beautiful, and it was it felt like if art was was fighting in a weird way.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, is this a shonen?
SPEAKER_06Don't say that because you go have Miss Kittles and and Dr. Quinzel up here talking about where's a shonen.
SPEAKER_03More so I guess fighting for fighting to prove yourself. And I think that would be really it was much more metaphorical uh than literal fighting, which I loved. I love that. It didn't I love the the subject matters that I never see at all in uh animation or uh Japanese culture. They they talked about um uh you know being trans. That blew me the fuck away. I was told you it would.
SPEAKER_05I told you you're gonna get to that episode. It's supposed to turn the corner.
SPEAKER_03I was like, wow, like you know, Japan is doing some things. Japan is really showing maturity and and and understanding. And for me that's huge. You know, if you ever feel like um there's no hope in the world, you can uh see that a lot of people are really growing and understanding the world around them and and it while also being respectful, and you can also tell that they must have had um either uh a council of trans people to really discuss what it means to be trans, to find themselves, to put yourself in that space. And I even learned, I even learned, and it was just very interesting um about how uh someone that was trans and I guess in in in society passing when it comes to baby. Yeah, but um, but when it came to the body, they didn't have any modifications and they love and they were completely fine with that.
SPEAKER_04There's a different right.
SPEAKER_03There are different layers of being trans. It could be the physical and it could be just the personality. And this person, it was it was a mixture of both, you know, being completely fine with how they were, but also trying to love themselves as well. Because even though they loved themselves, they were still having issues with other people, you know, loving only, I would say, the shallow version of them. They couldn't accept them. Um, so it was it was very interesting, it was beautiful. I loved how the usually I I I hate the the protagonist uh in a lot of these things. I usually hate them. And I actually really respected, I really respected the protagonist.
SPEAKER_04Um thank you.
SPEAKER_03For a change for a change. I usually hate them. They're either quiet, you know, crying, cry babies.
SPEAKER_01I must get to the next level. It's always the next level. I'm like, shut up, it's the same thing. Uh fighting, I must get to the next level. Um I have failed my family. I failed you. I'm like, shut up and just fight over time.
SPEAKER_03We all stuck at the beginning, we'll get there. So um, it definitely um hit hit a different, a different level, and it was beautiful. I really appreciated it for sure. I am oh, are we talking about what we're looking forward to or sustress?
SPEAKER_06Well, not yet. We're gonna get to that part next. But I will say, yes, Yatora uh as the main character of Blue Period, um, he he there was not there was nothing close to perfection in him as a character. And you know how, and that's one of the things you always say about the main characters that annoys you is you know, they can do no wrong, or they always like Superman, they'll always find a hidden strength. With Yatora, he literally had to figure it out, and it wasn't he because at first he was using his head, but then eventually he he figured he found he found why art is what it is, and that's what allowed him to get to the next level. And I'm not gonna spoil anything else. Um, it just huh, like ah, just my gosh, it was just so much. I'm sorry. Anyway, all right, so yes, it was beautiful anime. That's all I gotta say about that.
SPEAKER_03I would like to say one last thing, just something I learned, if you don't mind. Yeah. So blue period, I kept I keep hearing, um, you know, oh, blue period, blue period, and there's actual meaning to it. I think the first time I heard blue period was in um uh Lilo and Stitch. And uh Lelo was like, Stop it! This is my blue period, and I didn't know what what Lilo actually meant by that, but um Picasso um he played a lot with colors, and during uh his bout of uh severe depression, all of his art was blue. And then um he had a period that was called the Rose Period, where everything was very colorful. So um it the colors that he invoked in his art with his personality and and what he went through. He dealt with poverty, he dealt with depression, and that was why he had a blue period. And with the character, you kind of see it's very interesting.
SPEAKER_06Like it actually would have never guessed.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so um there is because sometimes I look uh anime has a a strange habit of having off-the-wall titles. I'm like, what the fuck is and I looked it up, and it's actually uh paying homage to Picasso and his um his mental state where he was, and with the main character, you kind of see uh the uses of colors and um and how he progresses and how that colors change on um where his mental even you can be uh the best person in school, and mentally you still feel like you're not good enough, or you still don't know who you are as a person. So um I love the symbolism and metaphors that was used with him. So it was very beautiful.
SPEAKER_06I thank you for doing the extra research and telling us that. Because I honestly thought the blue period was where when he started and he drew that first piece and it was blue. I thought that was all it was. Um so I have been corrected and I love that anime. Um, but that is amazing. Um wow. Okay, give me take a second, let that breathe. Okay, so um, yeah, so I like I said, uh there were, in my opinion, quite a few anime that came out summer 2022, uh, specifically the ones that I watched. Um one of the biggest ones, I think, uh one of the most highly rated ones this past season, uh, that most people it's funny because I saw it the first season of this show when it came out. Um, I forget what year it came out. I think it was like two years ago. Uh, but when it came out, and I was excited that it was coming back. I actually brought it up in uh one of the previous reviews, and that was Classroom of the Elite 2. Um, and this anime so freaking amazing. Uh, because there's like no special powers, it's not a shonen, um, but it is again about like uh coming of age, but it's coming of age slash slice of life slash uh murderous intent. And um, like I would nominate this to Sionic Cosplay, but there's like a little, a little bit too much slice of life. I'm not sure if she'll be it'll if it'll capture the way it should. Uh, but the premise of season two, uh, hope this isn't a spoiler if you didn't catch season one, but with Classroom of the Elite, they have uh come back from the uh what's it, the uh the island examination. So they had an exam on the island at the end of the last season, uh, which is pretty much life or death. Um, like people were sabotaging people, people were burying people alive, um, like it was this whole thing. Um, because the premise of the show is the entire school is built off of a point system, right? And with these points, uh you this is how you survive at school. You get a certain amount of points, and when you first get to the school, that allows you to buy things, uh, shows your worth, shows, you know, you can look the first rule of the school is you can buy anything with the points that you accumulate. They give you a set amount of points at the beginning, but you can lose them and you can gain some. Um, also, as you start going through the school, based off of progress reports and report cards, your entire class can lose or gain points. So if your classmates are stupid, you will take, you will be penalized. So it also encourages camaraderie to make sure you help your fellow man get to where he needs to go. Um, it's it's it's so dope because on top of under that layer, there's a whole nother layer, this like underground city underbelly of people, still students, screwing each other over. Like, I'm I'm gonna throw a quick word out there. This season there was waterboarding. Um uh one, there was forced hypothermia. Uh, another one, there was uh uh alleged rape assault, uh, but not rape rape, like sexual, I meant sex sexual assault. I didn't mean to say rape, sexual assault, even though he ain't do it. He put her hand there. She put his hand there. Sorry. Ooh, she's trifling. I don't like her. Y'all y'all know who I'm talking about when y'all see that. Trifling as hell, watch out for her. Oh, bipolarism, she is. Um, there's a whole bunch going on in this anime. I recommend you go and watch it. Classroom of the Elite 2. Um, I'll talk about this until I'm blue in the face, which is very impossible because of how choppery my skin is. Um uh Overlord, my god, season four. Uh it continued, of course, where it left off before. Uh, the last thing we remember is uh uh Lord Einspulgown uh becoming the um the uh um uh I forgot. Uh pretty much the Sorcerer Supreme. Uh, but he created the Sorcerer Kingdom, um, and he you know is now trying to take over and rule uh the kingdom that's in front of him. And uh the problem is people are you know trying to get in his way, which is sad because can't nobody beat them. Uh so I'm not even gonna spoil that one. Go and watch it. Overlord season four. Um, another anime that I felt was absolutely amazing uh was Vermil in Gold. Who my god, sexy little succubus, she gets summoned from a book, and well, not even sexy little, sexy belumps. She was a woman. Let's correct the words. Like, Vermil is all that, and then some, and then you add a little shake on the side. Like, Vermil is not to be played with. Um, they gave her the thickness everywhere with the waist cinched in. I'm like, what you doing, bruh? And like what's interesting is she doesn't even be using her magic that often, but it's the it's the it's the building of the relationship between her and her summoner, Alto, and who who completely, as always, accidentally summons her. Uh, but it's what happens next uh that you tend to find out because uh, you know, you should know Succubus can be classified as a demon, and he summoned her out of the book, but in this particular world, demons are heresy, but they're also not talked about because they allegedly haven't been seen for eons, not eons, centuries. So now he has this newfound demon that he summoned, he's the master of her, and now he has to go about um he wants to become a I think it's a platinum sorcerer, and he has to figure out how to do that with this new summoner summoning that he created uh with uh with uh uh Vermil. It's whoof, like there's this little, you know, this this fan service, obviously. Uh, but the story behind the fan service is so deep. Um, I I definitely recommend it. Uh for me, I was supposed to give you these ratings. I forgot. Screw the ratings. This is really good anime. Enjoy yourself, it's fun. Um, I'm probably gonna get a lot of flack for this one, but I'm gonna say it. Personally, I I okay, I should probably not even do it, but I'm gonna do it because I already started talking about it and I hate when I do that. So there's an anime that I watched. Um, I only like 50% of it because the other 50% is um just it's just uh a fan service, it's just nudity, uh, which was unnecessary because the other half, the actual exploration part of it, was amazing. So I literally had to skip past a lot of those parts. Uh, but it's harem in harem in the labyrinth of another world, uh, is the name of the anime. And when it started, I was like, oh, this is dope. And then it got into like the stuff that everybody says they don't like, which is like the slavery and the misogyny and then the uh the harem and the sexual acts and all this other stuff. But when they got past that, it got back into the labyrinth. That shit was dope. But then it went back into it and then he started touching on her and all this other stuff. But then when it got back into the labyrinth, he started fighting these monsters, and that shit was dope. So, like I said, I rated 50% of it. I enjoyed other 50%, I could skip over it. Um next, ooh, the Yakuza's guide to babysitting. This anime made me feel, I'm telling you, just baby feel. Like, if you liked um, oh man, uh uh the uh diary of a uh of a house husband with the former Yakuza, you will absolutely love the Yakuza's guide to babysitting. Like, same flow, same vibe. Uh I'm not gonna give anything away. But I'm like, do they be doing some Yakuza things in this? Yes, they do. But do they be babysitting? Yes, they do. So if you like doing both of those things, if you got kids or or you feel like you may have kids, but you also like to stomp in a hole in somebody's ass, go and watch this anime. It is for you. I must say, nah, it goes in, definitely 100%. Um, oh, another one. This is one that I know Kaze Shinyu was watching. I watched it as well. Uh, my Isekai Life, I gained a second character class. I forgot the name of it. Wait, I gained the second character class and became the strongest sage in the world. There it is. So, and it's funny that uh Sayune Cosplay said moments ago that you know certain anime had very, you know, specific names, but now it's like these animes, their names are long because niggas aren't going to do that research. Because like you went and did the research on Blue Period, like a nigga's supposed to do. But then they have that now. They're like, look, this is what it's about. It's in the title. If you don't like it, go someplace else. So if you don't like my Isakai's style, there it is. I gained the second character class. We're talking about character classes, and then I've The strongest age in the world, so we're talking about magic. You don't like those three things, go someplace else. But this anime, I'll say, um, I liked it, but there were a couple of down periods. Uh, it was a really good anime in terms of the world building, but the main character, uh uh, I liked him, but I didn't like him, it was really weird. Um, I think Kazai Shinyuu said he felt himself in the character, I think. So we'll have him you know explain that later. But no, that's neither here. Um, another one, ooh, by far, top marks, black summoner. If you again, mages, it is the isekai technically, but I love the aspect of the isekai uh this isekai because he specifically removed all those memories of his previous life, so he doesn't remember anything on the back. So he's pretty much just in this world and he's figuring shit out. I love it, it's a dope one. I enjoyed it. I'm waiting for season two. Whoo! Now, for all my medical people out there, this one you may like. It is called, I think I already told um uh the doctor about this one. It is called Parallel World Pharmacy.
SPEAKER_00Now, this particular one Well, you did mention that I did.
SPEAKER_06So, this one, of course, is another isekai, but this one is a I died and I became somebody else's isekai. Um, and it's it's really like at first it kind of comes off as oh, I'm in this new world and I'm gonna come a pharmacist. But then, terror strikes. Um, all I'm gonna say is they start hitting them with like plagues and like like plague plagues, like cancer, um, the black plague, like they start hitting them with some real shit, and he has to figure this shit out. So if you like medicine, you know your little periodic table and whatever of elements, this is for you. This you're gonna like it. People dying, I mean, nobody gets slaughtered. Sorry, Sayune cosplay, but people do die, people get healed, you know. Magic, yeah, a little bit. Check it out. Parallel World Pharmacy. I loved it. Um, another one, of course, whoo! Ruby.
SPEAKER_05My God.
SPEAKER_06Okay, I thought they had a long list. So, Ruby, I've been watching Ruby since the initial uh artwork of this show. They redid it because y'all were complaining too much about the shell shading on the previous version. So now they made it an anime. So now all of you motherfuckers who didn't like the shell shading can now watch it because it's an anime. So go and watch it. Stop talking shit about my Ruby. Um, but and not only that, they added a bunch of different concepts that were not in the original show. It's almost like watching Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. They altered it, and now it there's a bunch of different points they didn't talk about before. And I think it's it's I I feel it's really prepared to enhance the show because something that would have taken an hour from the previous show was an entire season. And keeping in mind, the previous the previous iteration of the show is 15 minutes an episode. These are 22-minute, 23-minute episodes, and an entire season was only about what five, eight, eight episodes, eight, an hour long, yeah, eight episodes, so almost over a season. So, yeah, definitely if you like your your Ruby, Ruby Ice Queendom. See, gives you a little hype up to the ladies. Ice Quendom, check it out. It's for you. I believe in it. Um, next, uh, let me try. I'm trying to get through this list fast. I'm I'm I'm speeding up now. Um excuse me, Orient. Uh, if you checked out Orient last season, Orient came back out with its second season. Uh, they've they've taken it to a whole nother level. Now they're fighting, they're in the middle. Well, they they fought a war against one of the uh uh evil um uh evil demons that are trying to uh wipe out humanity. Uh it's it's it's I I did I didn't know where they were going at the end of the last season, but I liked the path that they've taken in this one. I feel like it really revived the anime for me. Uh so yeah, definitely check it out. Uh and again, it's not one of those anime where everybody survives at the end, so be prepared for that. Anyway, um I am I like it, but I know not everybody else is gonna like it. Lucifer and the biscuit hammer. Uh it's not.
SPEAKER_01What is up with these titles? These titles are just so stupid, like what?
SPEAKER_06Um the easiest way to explain it is um uh there's a princess, and the princess has uh knights and they're animal knights, and it's their job to work against this crazy uh uh villain, I'll just say villain, who has a biscuit hammer, which is it's pretty much like a crab hammer, but it's a biscuit hammer. Guess where it is? Anybody? Nobody? It's floating above the earth, and they have to stop the biscuit hammer from hitting the earth and cracking it open like a walnut. This might be the most interesting I've heard from an anime in a long, long time. And I'm not even gonna tell you who Lucifer is. Lucifer and the biscuit hammer, check it out. Uh it it's it'll uh it you you have you have to dedicate some time to it, I'm not gonna lie. Uh, because if if if you try to do the first two episodes, you probably gonna fall off. I had to I had to ground myself in it, and it grew on me, so I liked it. Um Shine on Bakumatu Bad Boys, that was an interesting one. Uh, I love the name, obviously. Uh this one, pretty much a squadron of samurai policemen get slaughtered, and they take a bunch of criminals and replace them without anybody knowing. And that's where the story starts. So, yeah, check it out. Um, uh, let me see. Was there anything else? I think I have one more. It was um what's the name of it? What was the name of it? Uh I can't remember. I'll remember later. Yes, but yes, that's the last one. Bakumatsu. Uh, yeah, as I told you, I have a very long list. A lot of things I watch. See, and everybody was like there, and there was plenty of anime that I didn't name that I wasn't watching that came out that I think everybody will. Oh, Engage Kiss. That was another one. Um, that one, that one's interesting. Like, long story short, there's demons, there's nuns, there's firing shots, there's I'm not gonna spoil anything. I'll just say a guy's working with a demon to save a city because he wants to save his sister. And but the the for the demon to be able, the demon he's working with to be able to do what she does, she has to take something from him. And I'm not gonna tell you what, which is the sad part. All right, and there's that. You said what? His ball. Maybe.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Maybe I don't know why my mind goes there, but I just I you said it's sad.
SPEAKER_06But it's not impossible. Uh that's all I'm gonna say. It's not impossible.
SPEAKER_03Uh, there was one um anime I couldn't remember at the time because I was so enamored by Blue Period, but bastard that that it's like uh Ren a cop inuyasha, not Renacop Inuyasha. Oh it was uh you I I I think it's a parody. Oh my god it has to be because it's just it's just so ridiculous. I think that's what kept me watching it. So it's about the graphics are really beautiful. That's what's annoying about it.
SPEAKER_04But you're right.
SPEAKER_03It definitely uh traps you to thinking that it's gonna be something that that it's not because the I think Netflix, or whoever developed the trailer, was very smart. Because I'm like, oh wow, this is about um you know the end of the world, and there's a goddess who's gonna kill everybody, and then you have this white-haired looking fake Inyasha that's going through the bigger. Why do you keep doing that?
SPEAKER_05First off, Inyasha right here too.
SPEAKER_03But he looks he look he he's like he's like basically Shoshomoru's brother. Like he's hot, he's hot, like Inyasha was kind of like the wimpy kid. I don't know. Because I don't want to get fired at me. But Inyashi ain't shakethomaru. We know this, we know this.
SPEAKER_05Don't be rude. We know this. Don't be rude.
SPEAKER_03I'm just I'm just being very I'm just being very truthful. But with uh Bastard, his name, what was his name? It it was some fake German name that they try to give um the main character. Gosh, I for I forgot, but um, it's basically uh about this character who ain't shit and um and wasn't shit, and then he gets reincarnated to be able to uh help the world from falling into calamity with this goddess that wants to just kill everybody off. So when you're watching the trailer, like, oh wow, this is gonna be lit. You know, something that looked very predictable. We've seen this before, but you know, sometimes we like predictability. You know, we we could watch this. Um, what we got was uh forced um uh you know, showing of titties and ass. But it was to the point it was comical, it was to the point that it's so ridiculous. Like, oh my gosh, you have poison in you. I'm just gonna just have to get it out with my mouth. And it was just very suggesting. It was it gave me a headache. Dark Schneider. You know, oh my god, dark schneider, dark in the way how they said dark schneider. You know, when just this this one person is is just turning out all these virgins in the most without actually having sex with them. It's just the funniest thing, you know. You need you need to be lifted up to be carried to the infirmary, and then you have all this inner monologue. Oh my god, it's touching my leg. This is me, I'm a virgin. I can't be a virgin thought. Insane thoughts. Um, so I definitely find it to be a parody. It's very entertaining. There are some some subject matters that I find uncomfortable, uh, but again, uh it's something that you see in a lot of animes where they try to make excuses of someone being underage and they they try to kind of put it in a weird caveat as well. Technically, they're a reincarnation of a prone ass man child. So um, I think why you have to watch Bastard and take it with a greenest. I do think the whole entire thing is a parody, especially with the sexual connotation. It's just all of it is very ridiculous. So I think it really is poking fun at a lot of animes and the excuses people give these animes that we watch. Like, oh, they're not really a child, they're really an adult. No, that's a child.
SPEAKER_06So, um, so I would all of nine before this whole thing started or 11.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. Yes, I would definitely suggest um bastard for its comic relief because it is very stupid. Um, but it it is very entertaining. Um, the art is is is quite it's quite beautiful um for how how insane it is. So um I I I don't even know if I should suggest it like, oh my god, it's such a great it's not it's not great, it's it's definitely predictable, but it's very funny. And if you just want something where you don't have to use too many of your brain cells, I think you can watch it. The disrespect.
SPEAKER_06Oh god. And then um the doctor, I believe you had a honorable mention. It wasn't technically an anime, but you know how maybe calling things American anime nowadays.
SPEAKER_00Oh, what was the what was the oh yes, so not technically an anime, but um, I have truly loved Cyber Punch Edge Runner so far. Like really enjoyed it. I think they captured so much of that dystopian feel really well. You know, um, the elements around like poverty, both the sci-fi setting, and you know, the way like you all interact and the conflict, and like it's it's really, really interesting. And you know, I am I'm about halfway through so far, so you know, I still got more to go, but it's yeah, so far I've really enjoyed it a lot.
SPEAKER_06That's that's always something that worries me. Like, you see like a lot of these sci-fi cyberpunk-esque movies, and then you see like the poor people or the homeless people, and it's like if we're middle class now, and we all know roughly what each and every one of us are like the the the wealth class that we're all in, right? Like back in the day, middle class was low class now, right? So that means high class now is middle class, yeah. Right. So it's like, how much do you have to have to be low class in a dystopian cyberpunk future? Like, will we be making like half a mil and being sleeping in boxes? That is that what's gonna be happening?
SPEAKER_00No, inflation, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like, that's what scares me.
SPEAKER_05Because I like for you to be like banking for some dollars and everybody's flying, like flying cars and shit.
SPEAKER_04I'm like, hmm, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't know how I'm gonna feel about that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Anywho, sorry. Uh okay, so halfway point. Now we have to talk about the anime uh that we are anticipating, the ones we're ready to see. Um, as always, I have a whole long list. Uh I've we posted some of them on our social media. Actually, some of them have already come out by the time you hear this. Uh, so I will let you know what dates and um the location they can be watched. Um, but I will let uh Sione cosplay go first. I know you have a special one uh that you are anticipating. I believe it comes out October 11th. So by the time you hear this episode, it would have just premiered.
SPEAKER_03Oof, bleach, honey. Bleach uh I'm so excited. Um, I've had conversations with my brother, I've had conversations with friends, with um my fiance about how uh they had no choice but to bring this shit back in corporate and had no choice um and how the fans we were we were content with how Aizen's defeat, you know, we were content. Like we we didn't ask, we didn't ask for much, we didn't need anything. That was, you know, we basically we the all of Bleach, all of the what, a hundred, over a hundred episodes of content had led up to Aizen and Ichigo and seeing him with his luscious black hair, you know, looking like a fantastic ass, you know, Japanese samurai god. Like we we live we we we worked up to that climax. And then to see Aizen defeat, we we were good. We like, you know, Aizen shit, even though he's technically not dead, but we know that he was encapsulated in this type of crystallized prison and whatever. We were fine with it. Then they just kept coming out with shit that we just didn't ask for, like the the the whole jumping on niggas jumping on clouds and shit. Like we didn't ask for none of that. We we didn't we didn't care about it, it didn't, it wasn't even canon, and then we just kept getting shit that we just all of these damn canon cameras. Yeah, niggas hopping on fucking clouds, we didn't care about none of that shit. So it was a very annoying thing. It's it's it's kind of like when you when you when you have somebody that has such a a legacy, and then you you have to know when it fall back because people yeah, you have to know like you know, like a certain RB artist that came out of uh Wait a minute bleach to RB, you know, a certain RB artist that came out of uh out of hiatus to do whatever, and now his whole entire legacy is is fucked up because now we're gonna know him as as doing what he's doing on stage and it ain't hitting. So he he just should have just kind of left it in the 2000s. But that was how uh Idiotsha was oh god Idiot. Well, yeah, that's too, but um, how bleach was brought so um the slip of the tongue was actually the truth, so um um but we're I'm very excited to see the hundred year blood war, I believe. I can't believe the hundred years war. Um the art looks fantastic. I love how they paid homage to the soundtrack and thousand years, thank you. How to had to add uh another 900 years to my title, but yeah, so um the thousand year blood war, seeing the promo for it last year. I was hype hype, I've been hyped since December last year. Hype. And so now um, and and and I'm actually really excited because I think they pushed it forward. Um, because I think originally it was supposed to be December of this year, yeah. That was supposed to drop in, and now it's October. But um, you know, I love seeing the animation. I love how they don't look like children, not saying that they don't that they look like children um in uh a bleach towards the end, but they really look like adults. You can see the maturity, um, you see the art style is crisp as fuck, and it always was crisp. I love just the detail, and I love how bleach they never missed when it came to the fight scene animation and the animation when things are calm. It it never was like a huge shift, like how you might see what Naruto or even um Dragon Ball Z, where people kind of look like uh gummy people until you know the production hits and you see all the way the money's going. So, you know, you you see me, you know what I'm saying. I'm just saying it. You're just thinking it. But um so I'm very excited for bleach. Um, you know, my Myri Kuchiki, uh, what whatever the hell is his fine ass, crazy, psychotic scientistic self. I can't wait. I can't wait to uh uh finally drop a cosplay on Oak with him. Uh I just love it. I I love how it's it's bringing up old school and new school, our generation plus the new generation. And they really get to see the true one of the one of the three heavy hitters of the shonen um legacy. Because you had Dragon Ball Z, you had Naruto, and you had Peach. And those were the three heavy hitters.
SPEAKER_06How does everybody keep on ignoring One Piece?
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say one. See? See, look, look, see, not because y'all always be ignoring it.
SPEAKER_05I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_03It was always y'all One Piece fans because I literally, the next sentence was I was gonna say one piece since it's been there because it gave birth to all of us. It literally had us in our stomach and our womb and just literally like you know, chat us out. So yes, one piece. Yes. Are you happy? Yeah, one piece.
SPEAKER_06You led with the big three. Like, how you gonna say the big three and oh and then one piece? Like, nigga, what?
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay. I'm I'm sorry. I'm sorry. The the one the the the show the shonen that has the that started the gumby spaghetti and looking and the disrespect continuous. Yes, we could we could say the gomo gomo fruit, yeah, yeah, that one.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, the one thing well, at least you see at least you remember what it is.
SPEAKER_03That's all I I respect it for what it is. I could talk shit about it because I watched it, I invested time.
SPEAKER_06That is true.
SPEAKER_03But so um I really do love that we are paying homage to um old school, new school, the art, and also we're still keeping like the theme song, like the you know, they flipped in reverse the theme song, and I love that. So definitely excited for bleach, definitely excited for the bleach cosplays, and I'm already starting to see trickle in. And um, you know, I think it's it's about time we get a very good uh I would say shown in to just end the year off.
SPEAKER_06So not 100%. Uh the doctor, did you have anything, anything at all that you were excited potentially about watching for the remainder of this, well, I guess specifically for the fall, but anything that you may be excited about watching.
SPEAKER_00I I told you in advance it was gonna be a nah for this one. No, you're not watching nothing. Okay, no, I mean, I guess I I guess the way I engage anime, it's very spontaneous. So I often am not like thinking it is literally just oh, you know, someone recommends something to me, or oh, like I come across something randomly, you know, online. So but yeah, so all right.
SPEAKER_06Well, I'm gonna go off the list of upcoming anime. If anything proxies your interest, jump up and say, Hey, I may watch that. How about that?
SPEAKER_00You know what?
SPEAKER_06Sure. All right, that's all I need. Okay, starting with obviously most people's favorites, Spy X Family, part two, season two, just came back out um on October 1st. People have been waiting for this four months. Um, and people have actually been not only waiting for it, but Jonin on Attack on Titan. Like, this is how you do a second season. Rude. Um, but yes, no, Spy X Family. I don't have to go into detail. You know what it's about. Um, the the the telepath, the spy, and the assassin, they're back. And I'm not gonna spoil the first episode, just go and watch it. Uh Chainsaw Man. Uh, I have been told about Chainsaw Man by Shampoo Braceless, Shammy B specifically. Uh, he has said that this is going to be the anime for um Say Ne Cosplay to watch. Uh, because he said not only is it gory, he said that if you think like Attack on Titan or Berserk is gory, you've seen nothing yet until you watch Chainsaw Man. Um, so I don't know what that means. That actually makes me quite nervous. Uh so
SPEAKER_02I'm very excited.
SPEAKER_06That comes out uh October 12th. Um, so be prepared for that. Um, I I've already seen Chainsaw Man cosplays at uh Oticon. Um, I've like people are already making clothing and different types of things for that. Like, Chainsaw Man seems like it's about to be lit. Um Map is back. That's all I got to say about that. Uh, for those who watch it, Mopsycho uh season three. Now, I've been told Mop Soccer 100, sorry, I've been told to watch Mop Soccolo for Psycho for years, and I've yet to even watch the first season. I think I tried to watch it, and kind of the same, you I I didn't do myself justice because kind of the same thing the Sayon Nikoswe was saying about the whole Gumbi arms, I was getting those same vibes from Mop Psycho at the beginning. So I didn't give it a chance. Uh, but I saw the trailer for season three, and I was like, hmm, maybe I need to turn this back around. So I'm gonna try it. I will try it. I'm gonna catch up. I'll probably be done with it by the time uh uh Friendsgiving shows up, but I'm gonna go ahead and try and watch that. Of course, My Hero Academia Season 6 uh just premiered uh October 1st. Uh it's back out, and man, uh like that first second episode, I think just the second episode just came out uh this past weekend. Uh so be be excited for that. I hope you're watching because they they came back in swinging, like cutting people up. Uh just all types of things. Uh it's not about school anymore. Um uh of course, as we said, Bleach, Thousand Year Blood War, uh that comes out October 11th. Be prepared for that. Um, it's funny we were talking about uh a blue period. There's an anime called Blue Lock, which is about football. Well, football Americano, it's it's actually soccer. Um, that's coming out. That should be interesting, sports anime. Uh if you watched To Your Eternity, which I believe uh Kaze Shinry, you watched uh before and gave his review on earlier this year, last year. Uh, season two uh comes out October 23rd of this month. Uh so be prepared for that. Um uh The Eminence in Shadow. Uh I watched uh it already came out October 5th. I watched the first episode. I didn't know what to expect because I was hoping it wasn't gonna be like a harem anime. Because if you watch the if you look at the clip, it's a guy surrounded by women. It's not a harem anime in any way, shape, or form. It's um it it actually sign at cosplay, try it out. Just trump the first episode, try it out. Just try it out. Tell me what you think. We'll talk about it on a YouTube episode or something like that. Um, reincarnated as a sword. My gosh. I no no don't look at me like that. Reincarnated as a sword uh came out October 5th. I love it. Uh it's really I I find it very, very um intriguing in terms of because you know, everybody gets isekai and they could turn into a hero or poor person or a student or noble or something. This guy came back as a sword. And yeah, uh, you just have to go on this journey with him as a sword.
SPEAKER_03I don't think y'all know. I hate I hate isekais. I hate isekai's isekai get on my nerves, it just burns my soul, and I hate isekai. I I don't know what it is. I feel like it's just such escapism, and escapism bothers me. And I think that's why I'm just like I just need to go to a different plane. I mean, I get it, I would love to go to another universe if I could, but like I the I can't I didn't even know that there wasn't such a thing as a genre called Isekai.
SPEAKER_06I mean it just it just came out the last three years. Honestly, COVID made it even more popular. I mean, they've been doing isakai for a while, but they've really kind of went gung hold the last three or four years. So that's why it seems like they're everywhere, is because now that they see the popularity in them, everybody's taking advantage of it and they're turning them into anime. They light novels have been doing isukai for years. Um don't get me wrong on that one. But I mean, in terms of anime mainstream, now they're doing it more often. Side note, Eminence of Shadow, the one I just recommended, is an isekai, which is why I was gonna ask you this next part. Do you have an issue with isekai's where people die? Because this isn't like I got warped, this is I'm dead and reborn, isekai.
SPEAKER_03Unless the isekai is that they go to hell, to be honest, with a whole bunch of demons. Uh, I don't I like I like it when it's like maybe a different, like dark portal, you know, but if it's like a different world, and it's always isekai is always like medieval or some shit like that. It just bothers me. Oh, okay. I don't know. Maybe I'll give it a try. But when I hear Isekai, I just want to I just don't want to.
SPEAKER_06Try the first episode, look at a little bit of the gore, a little bit of it, it's not a lot of it, it's a little bit, and tell me what you think.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I I trust your judgment. You did you you you know, you you did me right with Blue Period.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_03So I think you you're on a roll here with this thing.
SPEAKER_06I mean, 100%. The my second recommendation is Chainsaw Man, just like that for sure. So yeah. This this is just a let me see how you feel. It's not a recommendation, it's a let me see how you feel. Let me see how you feel then uh Shinobi no Itoki. Uh, I wasn't I didn't even know about this one until it came out uh October 4th. This one is actually pretty interesting. Um, long story short, uh, there's a huge ninja war. Uh, it's almost like Naruto several decades later. No, several periods later, like modern age Naruto. Like these niggas have been teleported to this time, and they've been waiting for a chance to show us what they've been doing in this time. Like, they like there's still the the villages hidden in the in in the in in the inner city, the village hidden in the downtown. Like, that's what they are now. And they they they they beef it. So we're gonna see how that's gonna work. I'll say try it out. Oh I know you're gonna hate this title. I'm the villainist, so I'm taming the final boss. My god.
SPEAKER_00I actually like that title a lot.
SPEAKER_05Thank you. Sion, I can't hear you. It seems like you're about to say something.
SPEAKER_01Why? I just keep saying why. Why?
SPEAKER_03Why? Who the villain drives me insane. It's a whole it's a whole sentence or fragmented sentence. It's a fragmented sentence.
SPEAKER_06But it's good. Like I've it's already it's uh it came out October 1st. Uh it's already on episode two. Um, or about to go to episode. Well, it's on episode two, yes. Uh, I I thoroughly enjoyed it, but as always, it's an East Guy, so I'm not gonna nominate that for you. Uh, but it was I I enjoyed it. It reminded me of the other villainous anime I watched. Uh actually, I almost forgot to tell you what these come on. Sorry, pineapples. Um, so uh spy X Family, excuse me. So Spy X Family, Mob Psycho, My Hero Academia, uh My Hero Academia, Blue Lock, uh To Your Eternity, uh what else? What else? And Shinobi No Itoki and um and I'm the villainous all are on crunchy roll. Um Chainsaw Man, well, Bleach, very important. If you're listening to this internationally, Bleach is on Disney Plus. And if you're listening to this in the US, Bleach is on Hulu and Disney Plus. If if if you have VPN, anyway, uh, so it's in those two places. Chainsaw Man, uh, I believe Chainsaw Man is coming to Netflix. I might be wrong. Don't get me wrong. Let me make sure. Uh you always gotta check these things before you start talking. Um I do have a question. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Bleach should be on Disney Plus. Does that mean we're getting one episode a week?
SPEAKER_04Oh my god. I don't know. What did you tell you?
SPEAKER_05I didn't do it though. I promise you that. It wasn't me.
SPEAKER_03Oh no. If it's on if it's on Hulu, maybe Hulu, Hulu is. Yeah, Hulu Hulu sometimes gives you all of it. But bleach is it's given it's given one episode a week.
SPEAKER_06Okay, yes. So Chainsaw Man is gonna be on Crunchyroll. Uh, thank goodness. Um let me see what else. Eminence in Shadow is on what is it called? Uh, do do do do do do do do do do? It's um high dive, yes. Uh Eminence in Shadow is on High Dive. Uh Reincarnated as a Sword also is um uh I'm the villain. I already said I'm the villainous. Uh oh right, next, Beast Tamer.
SPEAKER_05Uh Beast Tamer is kind of interesting. Uh they're trying to call it a harem.
SPEAKER_06It's not a harem. Uh it's not Isekai either. So before you before you say all that, um, but it's really dope. Uh I enjoy it. Uh the beast tamer. Uh the only thing is the the beasts that he's taming are legendary um what's it called? Uh legendary um crap. Well, I'll say legendary beings. So like um cat spirits, uh dragonoids, pretty much humanoid creatures, mythical creatures. And of course they're all women, but it's not a heron, I think.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, um to me.
SPEAKER_06Okay, well, I'll I'll I'll let that one slide. October 2nd is when that came out, so it's already on episode two. Uh go ahead and plug your ears for this title, uh, Sayone Caspa. This one is I'm somehow I've sorry, I've somehow gotten stronger when I improved my farm-related skills.
SPEAKER_03So go ahead and do it one more time so I can count the syllables. Go ahead. Go ahead. I was counting that I was past 10. So go ahead and say that one more time so I can count.
SPEAKER_06I said it's called I've somehow gotten stronger when I improved my farm-related skills.
SPEAKER_0320 syllables, what it 15 syllables?
SPEAKER_06Farm-related is hyphenated. Anyway, um it's a cute, adorable anime. It also comes on Crunchyroll. Um, it's about a farmer uh who has almost maxed out his farm-related skills, and um it turns out that they reflected his actual fighting skills. Yeah, that's pretty much it. It's on episode two, came out October 1st. Uh, if you like, I'm trying to see an anime that's like it. Uh if you if you like, you know, kind of not the premise of the anime, but the side premise of the anime anime, that's what this is. Kind of the same as Beast Tamer. It's pretty, it's it's pretty fun and and and pretty. Um, ooh! Kazi Junior, you've been waiting on this one. Mobile suit Gundam, the witch from Mercury. Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. I watched a clip of it. I'm actually planning on watching it. Came out October 2nd. If you love mobile suit Gundam, if you love Gundams, Gundam is back. Simple as that. Um, check it out. Um, let's see.
SPEAKER_03I do have something that I want to watch.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_03Completely not what I would usually watch, but it's it looks cute as shit. It's called Bee and the Puppy Cat.
SPEAKER_06Bee and the Puppy Cat.
SPEAKER_03And it's fun Netflix. I know. Stupid. Bee and the puppy cat. Yeah. It's called Be and the Puppy Cat. It's giving Steven Universe vibes. I actually didn't like it. Yeah, it's giving Steven Universe vibes. I actually didn't like Steven Universe per se. Um, I was probably one of the people that that they didn't like. People probably didn't like me because I said I didn't act like grasp on the Steven Universe. They would say, Yeah, but being the puppy cat is kind of it's like it reminds me of Steven Universe. Everything is pastel color, but I love pastel villains. I love when the villains are crazy as hell, but they look very cute, like kill a kill with the crazy ass bitch with the patch on her eye was insane. Um, so being the puppy cat is on Netflix. Um, it actually got an 8.2 really out of 10 on IMB on let me see, 8.2 out of 10 on IMBD. And y'all, y'all know IMBD is really hard.
SPEAKER_04Especially in anime.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't know if it's classified as an I mean I didn't classify TV Universe as an anime. So it's more so like a cartoon.
SPEAKER_06At least they want to.
SPEAKER_03That's weird. I'm sorry.
unknownThat is strange.
SPEAKER_03American anime. Yeah, I guess so. But um, but yeah, uh, it's American anime. Um, I don't I have to double check to see if maybe it was uh made somewhere else. But being the puppy cat is really cute. Um from what I've seen from the trailers is about this uh girl, and she's like life is blah. I wish I could just, you know, I I think it would be a part of a it's a Kai just saying it.
SPEAKER_05Leave these people, cute.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so be in the puppy cat. I'll probably uh when we do another anime review, I'll probably tell you guys how I liked it. But it looks very heartfelt and cute, and obviously, I I have a good feeling about it because the ratings are saying it's really, really good. So check it out.
SPEAKER_06Okay, uh we got another anime off Netflix. Awesome. Um, there is a rock-based one, uh, Bochi the Rock. Uh, it's about a high school girl who's starting to learn to play the guitar and is is overcoming her her shy feelings um and eventually wants to start a rock band. So I thought that'd be uh not a comb we can't communicate type of vibe, but you know, it's comedy, slice of life, so similar. Uh so she's overcoming her feelings of shyness to uh kind of get into this next stage. But that one comes out October 9th. Oh that's very soon. Um then you have the bibliophile princess. Now, all you dirty-minded people out there listen to what I just said. I said bibliophile, you dirty motherfuckers.
SPEAKER_02Um, can't break down things.
SPEAKER_06Somebody break it down for them. The file is always risky. The file is a risky one, but I'm like, use your education. Like, I'm serious. The bibliophile princess. Uh, if you liked uh sentence of a bookworm, you will like the bibliophile princess. Um uh I I'm not even gonna go into the premise behind it, just go and watch it. It came out October 6th. Uh, so have fun with that. Uh let's see. Uh, I don't want to talk about that. I'm gonna skip that one over. Uh, management of a novice alchemist. This is really cool. So this is an isekai. Oh, don't you count those syllables.
SPEAKER_02Um 11 syllables.
SPEAKER_06Anyway, the novice alchemist. She just she wants to be so much better, you know. She wants to be great. Uh, it's a it's it's a really good anime. Uh, it came out October 3rd. I would say try it out if you like kind of um slow build animes that talk about people who open shops, maybe. You'll probably like that one. Um There was like two more that I want to talk about. Oh, of course, uh Yoamashi Yoamushi Pedal just came back. Limit break comes back October 9th. Uh, it's another sports, but it's a cycling one. Uh, I didn't even know I liked this anime until I watched the movie. Then I went back and watched the anime. Amazing. Uh it's it's it drew it draws you in. It's really dope. Um, then uh Berserk came out with a memorial edition of the Golden Age arc. Uh, a couple of people have uh mixed feelings about it. Other people are excited to see it. So uh I see Sidney Cosplay's face. Um, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03They need to leave Fizzbirth alone. Like, unless they have someone might just be enhancing the graphics. They need to leave it alone. Because it's it's like it's it's one of those masterpieces that it's very hard to do well on. There, I think they're gonna have to get someone that's really versed in um uh, I would say that genre of horror, storytelling, and action. That's very difficult. Um, I don't know of many, to be honest, I personally don't know of many artists that can hit all three because that's very difficult. You have to have someone that's very good at shonen with horror and with storytelling. Um that's why Berserk is in a class of its own because no one ever really touched it. I think Parasite was more a little bit more comical. Um but that's but that's the only one that I could see action and storytelling, but even still, this the storytelling was the best. So that's why people just try to recreate. Um yeah, they try to recreate berserk. I don't know how many, I don't know, God only knows how many times they just try to recreate this damn um anime. Um but it's very difficult. And now unfortunately, the creator had passed away, but I think they have a whole entire team. I I they just cannot get the anime right. Yeah, um, and it I I just feel like they just need to leave this shit alone. Like how they originally had Berserk, they um I think it came out in the late 80s or early 90s, they came out with like the introduction anime so that you can continue reading the manga. Yeah, they just need to leave, they should have just left it alone. Also, they keep changing up Costka's fucking um pigment to make this girl look like a white girl and she definitely looked black. So um they just need to they just need to leave, they need to leave her alone. I think um shadism in uh animation is very real, but like you can definitely see the character uh transform into something else over the years, the features and the skin tone and the skin tone. Each adaptation they do is like a transformation to another person. So uh I'm I I usually like adaptations, but they just keep failing. So I'm definitely I'm not I'm not even excited for it.
SPEAKER_06Okay, well, hopefully somebody watches it, and when we do, like you said, then do the next review, we'll get some type of feedback on whether they did what you said, which is make another terrible adaptation, or maybe it was a shining example of what they wanted to bring to the screen.
SPEAKER_03I'll watch it when y'all tell me what it what it's about. So I'll with y'all.
SPEAKER_06All right, next anime the little lies we all tell. Um, allegedly, this is from a uh it's from a manga and it is a shonen. Um, and the story is about four uh four girls, four friends who each have a secret that they cannot share with one another. That's the premise of the show. Uh comes out October 16th. I'm gonna try it out and I'm gonna let you know guys know how it went. Um, I think I'm probably reaching out on the limb. I don't think he's gonna watch it, but maybe the doctor will watch it. Um, but um Legend of Mana, the teardrop crystal. I know you're familiar with the uh game franchise.
SPEAKER_00Wait, I actually know about that.
SPEAKER_06And there we go.
SPEAKER_00That one I am excited about.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so that anime came out or comes out on October 8th. I think the episode already dropped, actually. So um I started watching it, but then when I realized it was a game, I was like, I could just go play the game. But I might still watch it. I'll I'll I'll I'll see if the doctor watches it and then we'll watch it. You both um there was what was that? Of course, Detective Conan, back at it again. The culprit Hanazawa, there it is. Um uh that comes out October 4th. Um and I think there's there's a couple of other like hidden gem animes that are also coming out this season. Definitely, you know, feel free to check them out. Move Love, uh, alternative, second season, just came back out. Eternal Boys, which is a uh uh uh uh interesting story. Uh uh is about uh musical idols. Uh not for me, maybe for you. Have fun. Um, and uh encouragement of climb next summit, climbing anime, just in case you like seeing stories about people who like to climb mountains, uh or trails, you know, either one. Anyway, yes, so um that is our review. Well, uh, as much as I don't want to talk about it, Immoral Guild, don't watch it. No, no, I won't do that. Immoral Guild, if you like harem anime, go ahead and enjoy it. Um it's a it's a it's a harem shonen.
SPEAKER_03Uh, is that like redo healer?
SPEAKER_06No, that that no no it's um it's like uh uh what was it called? Queen Queen Queen what was that called? Queen's Blade. It's like Queen's Blade, where people get keep getting touched in naughty places. Actually, the first 15 seconds, I think, of the anime will give you a pretty good feel for where the direction of everything is going. And if you can sit through that, then you should be good. I uh I got through the first episode. We'll see if I can get to the second idea. But anyway, yes, so those are the anime that we are planning on watching. Of course, there's plenty of things coming out of theaters. Um, if you haven't already seen it, One Piece Red uh is out in theaters, if not this week. Uh, it's supposed to be on Crunchyroll relatively soon. I think it might be there right now. Um, among some other animes is coming out to movies. So that is our fall, summer fall 2022 review. Uh, I want to thank our panelists for being a part of this particular episode. They didn't have to be, but uh, they decided to jump on and listen to me prattle on about episodes of things that they may not even think about watching. Uh, but I thank you anyway for showing up. Um Did you have anything else to add before we close out?
SPEAKER_03No. No. Um, you know, I I just I with the doctor I also watched, um Cyberpunk was very good. And uh I think that uh they're trying to quickly fix the game with all its bugs.
SPEAKER_06The amount of marketing that that show alone just did.
SPEAKER_03Um but uh it was it was kind of like a slow for me, it was slow in the sense that I um uh that a lot of anime came out like Sushi said, but I think anime that gravitate to me, it wasn't as much this particular. I think they're waiting for fall. I think they're waiting for fall. Like how there's always uh the big heavy hitter um uh blockbusters always come out in the summer. I think the blockbuster moves are coming out in the fall for anime specifically for this year. So I'm very excited. I've I've never seen so many, I've never heard of so many animes coming in within like a day of each other. Um I would know Chainsaw Man is coming literally a day after Bleach. That's insane. Right. Um I've I will be very excited for the end of the year. Um, I just really hope they don't pull uh one episode a week. Uh I'll kill me with bleach because we we waited years. We literally waited a decade. Yeah, give it all, give all of it to us, give all a hundred episodes a week.
SPEAKER_06You know that there's no way in hell they're going to bring something back after a decade and not milk it as much as Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan and milking it. There's no way. Like they haven't been making money for 10 years. Come on.
SPEAKER_02It's not a pain to bleach. It is not, it'll never will be.
SPEAKER_06Unless they're gonna keep going forever, like one piece in Naruto, there's no way they're not gonna take it full advantage of any money they're gonna make from this. It's not gonna happen.
SPEAKER_03That's true. Well, we're hey, the good thing is that I started cosplay when there was a whole bunch of bleach cosplays, so now it's like kind of like a renaissance of bleach cosplays. I know it's gonna be at every single convention. And seeing the black, unapologetically black characters that the bleach artists had created is just revolutionary. Um, we had Yoruichi, uh, we had um the the I don't remember the names, but the really big guy with the bells on his on his uh hair and shit. I don't know if he was black, so to speak, but he was Kenpachi, Kenpachi. I don't know what Kimpachi. Kenpachi, um, we had a lot of the strong female characters. Um, that was the hollow, that was black. Um, so you we saw a lot of like uh black people. Um, the blind, the blind guy that was a captain that had like the locks. Like, so I really love how bleach included us in a powerful anime. Um, and uh it wasn't just like a black person that had blue eyes and blonde hair, and we didn't know what they were, they were like a tan. No, we actually were black, so but I'm very excited for bleach to see what it does. I hope it includes more of us in there. Uh, because you know, uh I think uh a lot of people don't know that black people really support anime and and Japanese animation or just Asian animation in general. Uh, we really look up to it. So I really hope that they um give us what we support. Yes, and uh just almost fuel, yeah, fuel the creativity with cosplay and and hey, they profit off of it if they want money. They might as well just start including more people if it's if it if if anything, you know it's always about money.
SPEAKER_04So it's always about money.
SPEAKER_03So I'm excited. I'm excited, and um, Suchi, I appreciate you for uh, you know, always uh trying to include the panel and giving our insight, uh, things that you definitely might not agree with me, but you know, we have a chuckle uh here here and there, uh, but also um inspiring me to step out of my box and to try out new things that I never would have tried out if it wasn't for you. So um I'm excited, like the pharmacy one, I'm very excited for that one. So I'm gonna look that up. So please uh give us more of these um reviews so that it opens our world to creative content that we can watch and appreciate.
SPEAKER_06Definitely, absolutely. That's what I try to do. The doctor anything you want to add?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, no, not really. This has just been, you know, great podcast. I love the recommendations, um, always a wonderful environment. And yeah, um, you know, I definitely have many things I'm gonna have to watch going forward.
SPEAKER_02Yay!
SPEAKER_06If at least two people watch something new, I know I did my job. Congratulations, Suchi. So, yes, uh, and of course, I'm really excited. I think one of the biggest, uh, other than the fall, this fall season of anime, I think one of the uh another really big season is gonna be the winter season of anime. January seems to be very stacked with a lot of um part twos of anime, just like this past summer was, but it wasn't as cool as it seems um winter is gonna be. Like Vinland Saga is coming back in January. Uh Misfit of a Demon King Academy 2 is coming back in January. Uh Bungo Stray Dogs. I've been waiting for that anime for like over a year or two. Tokyo Revengers coming back. Uh Border Bo Furi, uh Maple's coming back. I'm excited. Inspector's coming back, by the Grace of the Gods is coming back. Nir Omata, uh Automata is coming back. Uh Tomo Chan is a girl. That's premiering. But there's like a lot of anime that are coming back in January. So uh also stay tuned for uh winter, the winter season of anime. Um, also, if you are interested in some VL anime, there's a lot coming up in in winter as well. So you already cuffed up, watch yourself a BL. You're gonna be down like like two two pieces of cheese in the middle of two bread after they done toasted it in the grilled cheese. Maybe add a little spam that just be like often, you know. Anyway, uh as we wrap up, panelists, how can you be reached? Starting with the doctor. Rod RT on Facebook. Sayone cosplay.
