Welcome back to the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. This week we are back again with our anime, I'm sorry, our Blurred Q anime review uh episode for what is this fall 2022 and winter 2023, I believe it is. Uh a lot of anime, a lot of anime. Like if you are a fan of light novels and you wanted to see some of your favorite light novels turn into an anime, a lot of those are now turned into animes this year. Not all of them, because you know, some people like some things more gory and some people like things more um isakai, but there's a there's a there's a there's a quite a few anime, I think about 15 light novel-based anime that have come out in the winter season alone. And these are just ones that I've seen, not all the ones that have actually come out. So uh there's a long list of stuff that we can watch and a lot, a long list of stuff that we have watched, and we want to tell you about, give you our reviews, and give you our recommendations of what you could potentially watch. So, first off, as always, I must introduce our lineup of panelists. Uh, starting with myself, your moderator, Mr. Suchino Shogun. Uh, I also have The Doctor. What's good? I have Returning from His Hiatus upon Mount Kirinoyu. Uh is Kaze Shin Ryu. Ala. And then, of course, traveling on the open road, we have a part of the Doctor. I'm sorry, part of Shampoo Bracelets, Dr. Harlene Quinzel. Or is it Rebecca?
SPEAKER_01It's Rebecca Quinzel. Yeah, copyright infringement is a bitch. Fair enough.
SPEAKER_05There you go. I was waiting for it. All right, so uh we're just here. We're gonna start off by talking about uh fall anime, obviously. Fall 2022 brought us uh some highly anticipated anime, uh, some being things that you know people have been waiting years uh for, others part twos of different seasons, part threes of different seasons. Um, I believe one particular anime, I don't believe I know, uh some people have been waiting a decade, uh uh or give or take a year or so. Uh so I'm gonna just you know open it up to our panelists to talk about you know the main three I think that everybody was waiting for that came out in fall 2022. Well some uh are continuing, but most of them are have already stopped. So uh I think the one I can just go ahead and say out loud, I think everybody was waiting for was Bleach. I think uh that was uh what was it? Uh what's that called that? Uh the Thousand Year Blood War, I believe is what it was called. Um I've been told about this this uh resurgence about three years ago by Kaze Shinryu. Uh he bet money that it was gonna happen. Luckily, I didn't bet him. Uh and here it is. So, Bleach, what does everybody think? How did you feel? What occurred?
SPEAKER_01I personally didn't watch it, so shampoo bracelets is actually gonna tap in for that or shammy B.
SPEAKER_06No. Hey. Hola. Hey going alright.
SPEAKER_02I just making my way downtown. Now honestly, uh, yeah, like it was it was uh this this it was nice to see Bleach come back, but um it reminded me it reminded me of some issues that I had with Bleach previously, but it also reminded me that no matter how many issues I have with Bleach, that shit looks good. That shit looks good. Out of everything I watched that season, that was by far one of the best anime visually that I think I ever seen. But man, I I know since I read this, it's kind of like I know what's coming, and I know that it's that at some point it's getting down, it's gonna go downhill. It's sad to me because this would be the final season coming back. I thought I was thinking, alright, you know what, maybe they'll change something to make it so that it's not like every other series. Because at this point, it's like every other every art of bleach is pretty much the same. The only difference is who's died. That's it. And I think that's what makes the South of Your Blood War arc so good, because there's a lot of things that you didn't expect to go that are gonna go. And it's like, hey, but after they go, it's like, well, what do you do? What do you you get your you're gonna have your your you're gonna have your random ass power-ups, have your bad guys beat the silent shit out of you, and then it's like it's gonna it's gonna be another, it's just gonna be the fucking Soulside arc slash arc arc all over again. So um, so yeah, I mean I I enjoyed it. I'm surprised they uh separating it into uh overseas, I guess. I thought they were just gonna run straight into it. Honestly. Because uh, though I do understand there's a lot that goes on in this arc, I just thought that they were gonna get it done in like 24 episodes, just let it ride. I didn't think they're only gonna do like 12, 13 episodes, they'd be like, alright, we'll see y'all in a bit.
SPEAKER_05I mean I think I think we said it, I think we said it in the previous anime review with what they did, what they're doing with uh Attack on Titan. If they can milk it for several years, everybody else is gonna milk it as much as they can for several years.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that yeah, that that's what I now that I'm thinking about it. When it happened, I was like, oh, you're gonna do the now, I'm just gonna call it the the uh the Titan effect. Like, well, like we're just gonna we're gonna stretch this out, we're gonna stretch this one season out for like four years. But we don't have to. We don't just end this now.
SPEAKER_04We could.
SPEAKER_02But fuck it, we're gonna stretch this and I guess Bleach is looking at it as if we can't do filler, we're not gonna give you what you want to train up.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So if we can't do filler like we have been, then we're just gonna space it out like Attack on Titan does, and it's gonna be a tight effect.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna just give you the sample for right now.
SPEAKER_02Like, like, I was gonna say tight is like attack on Titan is now like a Gloriaka or fucking anime. Like, it's like we came up with a method that works for us to get five. And now a lot of other people are gonna take this method and they're gonna space the shit out of like what's supposed to be final season. Like, final season doesn't mean anything, unless you're mob psycho. The only one that, like, honestly, they did their final season, which was which though I I have to agree with a lot of sentiments of it wasn't, from what I understand, it wasn't, and from what I have seen, it wasn't as good as the second season, but it was a good final season. It was a good way to close out mob psycho. Um but like I said, but nah, it's they're gonna like now Taco Titan started a monster. Like, it's like you're gonna see Bleach is gonna do it. Like, I have a feeling that uh Demon, uh Demon Slayer is gonna end up doing somewhat of the same shit, especially on the final season. Um yeah, you're gonna start to see a lot more. It's just gonna be nasty. But yeah, like I didn't I didn't expect Bleach to do it, but it makes sense from I guess a monetary value. Also, I think because of when what Bleach was repeating against this season, I think they thought they were gonna get more trying than they did. And when they didn't, when originally when everybody was hyped for it to come back out, they got a lot of it, they were like, Alright, cool. And I think they changed up after the first couple episodes came out and thought that it wasn't getting talked about the way they felt you should, so that's why they're spacing it out.
SPEAKER_05They made the mistake of coming out at the same time as Chainsaw Man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they didn't do that correctly. So there's a reason for that. I think there's a ploy behind this. Well, um, because of what they showed in the first in the first part of this, a lot of the hype shit hasn't hit yet this season.
SPEAKER_06Fair.
SPEAKER_02So I think what they did was they put it out there with Chainsaw Man to see how one our Chainsaw Man was gonna do, and to see how they would compete against uh what they probably consider a uh much higher rated anime.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, also also also anime doesn't it anime isn't video games, like people have extra 30, have another like 20-something minutes of time to go do something thinking, you know. But a lot of people who are watching Chainsaw Man are just went ahead and watched Bleach right immediately afterwards. So, you know, it's it's not immediately.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I wouldn't even watch Bleach watch Chainsaw Man, and then she would go to sleep while I watched Bleach.
SPEAKER_04That that was really how it works.
SPEAKER_02A lot of people had that same blue cheat. The only people that really watched Bleach were the people that watched Bleach before. Yep, the people that remember the pain of the full brain art. Like that's the only one that was still around.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I mean, looking at the numbers on most sites, it looks like they picked up, they probably picked up a decent amount of uh new of new people too, just because of the word the word uh word of mouth and the hype and uh and also also I'm sure a lot of because a lot of people just just refuse to come back uh for for bleach just because they they felt they felt hurt in the past. Um also I think uh I think a lot I think uh a lot of the decision um with them doing the splitting up the cores like they did is just how anime is done nowadays. This is a new this is a new anime. And and that's how this, you know, it's made by a new studio. They got they run in, they run in and getting made as as as that's as that studio, that's how they work. We we we we put up high high quality product and now we need to get back to work, so you're gonna fucking wait. Um yeah. Um I'm about to say I was uh I I also also didn't I I didn't I didn't think they was gonna run all the way through, but I didn't uh I wasn't sure where the first logical stopping point was. So that was uh so it was it, it was it was it was it was definitely um uh it was it was definitely uh like you know also awesome to see it back. Also, I didn't know that Kubo didn't like uh how the anime was presented originally or now uh no no no pr previously like I did like he's like he's hands-on now because he didn't like how that anime was handled. And and also out of out of the big three, bleach has had the biggest like issue in difference from manga to anime. Um so so like so he's that so that's so that's another reason why it might be uh um uh like uh made made a bit you know made a bit longer. And also he like he guaranteed differences because of stuff he wished he did in the manga. And and this is and this is his opportunity to be like, okay, now I can fix this up and like you know, and there was some, you know, I didn't have time for that. Because you know Kashona jumped, like that's that shit's a war zone. Like they they you gotta rush that they they get they they gotta rush that shit out like every every fucking week. So there's definitely like plans he had and things he didn't get the you know get out, and also things that just don't uh communicate well in the in the in the medium of manga. So now so now this is like a great opportunity for him to come in and be like, yep, and I want to do this, and it's time for this. And also just like being the like anime being the the vid the different type of visual medium it is now you know not now, you know, anime can take three panels and make a whole goddamn episode. Um, which is I'm sure we're gonna get uh get a whole bunch of that too. So uh no, yeah, I'm definitely uh definitely um excited, uh excited for the rest.
SPEAKER_05Okay, okay. So, you know, Bleach for me, like I said before, I wasn't I watched all of course all of the previous Bleach uh that came out years ago, and I wasn't I was surprised when I was told that there was more. I I didn't read the manga, of course, and as y'all know, uh, but uh the Kaze definitely explained to me that there was an additional uh uh arc or season that could potentially be created. I was like, okay, well, what exactly are they gonna do? He's like, you you feel like what they gave you was enough for the end? I was like, I mean, I I kind of just let them give me what they want. I I don't I don't view it in a certain way, but he explained that there were all of these missing pieces that didn't make sense that needed to be tied together. And you know, so far what I've seen, yeah, uh I really wish it was on a streaming platform that would have well, let me say like this. I really wish it was on Crunchyroll because you know, the Crunchyroll Awards, they just started the voting process, and I really would have voted for it for like art, just the art that was seen because it was like almost ripped, it was almost like literally storyboarded, and then moving panels out of a manga. Like it was gorgeous to watch each of the different uh aesthetics that they put on there, and then the absolute amount of blood that they decided to just kind of throw in there. Like, not saying that the original uh bleach didn't have blood, but my god, um just the the the added uh uh unnecessary amount, but necessary to explain that this is literally you can't call it the thousand-year blood war without there being oogops of blood. So uh I I did appreciate that um that that addition. Um still kind of waiting for Yoda Weachi to show up. I'm glad there's another black person on the screen, but I haven't seen Yoda Wichi yet. And uh yeah, that's just my personal preference. But you know, she may not be there, you never know. Uh um Awina. Oh, okay. And it's glorious.
SPEAKER_06Okay, that's all I needed to know.
SPEAKER_05All right. Um so outside of Bleach, uh obviously, you know, go ahead and say it. The the as we were just saying, which uh we I felt like Bleach shouldn't come out at the same time, not because I feel like ratings were gonna mess it up, because again, ratings really, unless you base it off of um uh the applications, the streaming platforms that they're on, ratings are generally focused on the TV ratings coming from Japan and the different countries where it airs naturally. So, you know, when I say it shouldn't run at the same time, it's with Chainsaw Man, Chainsaw Man also runs off of country roll. So you have everything that's happening TV-wise in Japan and and you know, countries uh uh out there, but then you also have the streaming platforms worldwide where we legally are watching different anime, so it increases the amount of what is potentially shown as viewership for Chainsaw Man than it would for Bleach because Bleach isn't on that platform. I forget the other one. Oh, wait, Disney, of course. Uh so bleach is on Disney. So I mean, it just depends on who's watching it on Disney. I think when we even announced that at one of the previous anime reviews, and you know, we were all excited about Bleach, and then I said, Well, it's gonna be streaming on Disney, I think everybody was kind of like, what? And so it's for me, I think it was that just that, you know.
SPEAKER_01But did Disney mean Disney or did Disney mean Hulu, which they bought?
SPEAKER_05Uh, from what I saw, it Disney meant Disney as in Disney Plus.
SPEAKER_01No, it was on Hulu.
SPEAKER_05It was on Hulu, it was on Hulu, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It so we watched Chainsaw Man on Hulu. So once we finished, yeah, once Chainsaw Man went off, it automatically went to Bleach most of the time.
SPEAKER_02A lot of what they say, but Disney says that they took something in terms of anybody, it's just on Hulu. Because Hulu's part of the day.
SPEAKER_05Well, that's kind of rude because if if you if you search for the information on Bleach, they don't even put Hulu's mark there anymore. They just put Disney Plus. So I mean I get it, you know, Disney Plus or Disney owns Hulu, but I think the Disney.
SPEAKER_01I think Disney Plus was supposed to be doing it internationally, not in like the other the uh stuff like that.
SPEAKER_05Gotcha, gotcha.
SPEAKER_02Hey, that shit definitely Hulu.
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, it was like I mean Hulu's pretty much like their whole catalog and anime, they only giving you like the current stuff now, or they're giving you dub stuff if you watch that.
SPEAKER_05Um what are we talking about?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm I'm just saying. I said if you watch that, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Also, I don't I don't know if anime studios are care caring about us as far as what time they release and what.
SPEAKER_02So they're starting to do more so now, mainly because of how much the American market has gotten involved. Like how country world is owned by Sonya. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's like it's like they're starting to the the international market is starting to get a little better, especially I'll say the American market in particular is getting a lot better for animated than it used to be.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So now it's like cybercasting is becoming more of a thing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But Sony got on that wave first, so that's why country rolls people beat ass on Hulu and everybody else, because then they still cybercast.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_02Or Hulu and Disney in fact necessarily got wave bad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Netflix, my them is when they get animes, they don't push them as hard as they push their own original shows. So it's like, like for the last season of Jojo, if you want a JoJo stand, like you probably would have missed the whole season. Unless somebody told you word of mouth. Like, that's like Vinland Saga is up there. But how many people are paying attention that it's up there? Like, they don't they don't advertise their animes like that or the anime.
SPEAKER_05Which is why Vinlan is also on Country Roll.
SPEAKER_01Thank God. You know, I'm from Country Rolls. Yeah, business ideas.
SPEAKER_05Yep, yep, yep. But okay, so that that that that that long-winded uh uh from myself, I apologize. That long-winded transition was supposed to be to talk about Chainsaw Man.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What did you change?
SPEAKER_05My fault, it was completely my fault. Uh no, but it was uh so Chainsaw Man, uh, like I said before, uh in anime, I I I think um no, I know Shammy B gave us one of the most graphic and um ununderrated descriptions of Chainsaw Man before it came out, uh describing it and comparing it to a couple of anime and manga, and pretty much saying, no, it's not even close. You're not prepared for it. And based off of what I've been told, even what I've seen so far, uh, is is is shit compared to what's actually going to happen. Um, yeah, so Chainsaw Man, panelists. Uh let's I mean I don't have to say let's start with anybody. What do y'all think?
SPEAKER_01Fucking loved it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, really enjoyed it so much, like everything, especially the combat, you know, the gore. Um, I really liked the way they kind of showed how I guess the role of poverty, especially with the main character Denji, and how like he's you know so shocked by nice things. Like I think that was like touch, you know. Yes, but yeah, I loved have loved every second of it. Really impressed. I think it's one of the first just brand new anime that I really, really enjoyed this past year. That wasn't like a sequel to something earlier, right?
SPEAKER_06I've I've been hearing these manga niggas go on about this shit for negatively years. Like, so like so so when they was like, yo, this is gonna be the next big, next big thing, y'all ain't ready. And I'm like, you know, and I'm like, all right. No, no, no, I was no, I was a believer when when I saw uh how fucking pretty it was just from the trailer, and I was like, oh, this y'all y'all pump so much fucking money into this. This this can't fail. It's uh somebody uh a studio going down if this failed. Like going down. Like, so uh yeah, no, no. I was definitely um I was expecting great things and they were they were delivered. Yeah. Um delivered. Um yeah, no, yeah, the uh gorgeous uh I love I love I love I love the simplicity of the main character and how uh uh he's you know he really just like ref reflects the the situation and systems that he's in. Um and you know, and I also like how he like uh you get to you know like you you get to you get to grow with him because he like he starts like literally literally at zero. Um so like you know, so like him like uh him just climbing his hierarchy of basic needs. It's great to watch. It's very charming. Um yeah, no, no, I'm looking, I'm love loving the world building. I'm uh I'm uh I'm I'm really I'm I'm really uh looking forward to them opening up more, I guess, with the magic system isn't the isn't the right word, but just uh just just how everything works as far as the uh you know demons go, how far you know, what what kind of what type of demons can exist, what all the rules are. Um I mean after seeing uh uh Miss Miss Broke boss lady. Yo, Jesus. Uh like I knew she I knew she was broken because you can't just you can't just act like that, yeah, you know, and and not be a bad bitch. Like you can't like you you know you get bureaucrats uh are not made like that. So so after seeing her like actually go, you know, go into action um and also you know uh survive what she did. Uh Yeah, stop with that. It was a song.
SPEAKER_01You can't see what I'm doing. You gotta cover your eyes. Okay. When I'm doing this top secret shit.
SPEAKER_06No, no, yeah. It was a it was a fantastic ride. And also, it was uh my and my computer died in the middle of the season. So uh so that was uh so that was one of the uh one of the main things to look forward to. Uh because everybody was like, oh, you can watch on your phone, and I was like, oh, I can dig in the trash too. Shut the fuck up. Got a 55-inch looking at me, and I'm gonna watch everything on my phone. You be the dick. Um but uh yeah, nope, nope, love loving it so far.
SPEAKER_05Uh I um uh well go ahead. I'm sorry, Dr. Quick, though. I know you've been chopping at the deck. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I mean, uh you know me. Like I I I love Chainsaw Man, you know, shame me Mariner. So he already told me which character I was going to fall in love with, which I love her, which is power. I love her for her playfulness that she is, and and I love the whole couple of episodes where she was trying to find her little cat Fluffy Meowt.
SPEAKER_06She ain't playing.
unknownShe ain't playing.
SPEAKER_06She means everything.
SPEAKER_01Like, like, I'm gonna go get my cat done. Um, but Maki Mom was the one for me that was like, oh, no, you didn't tell me about her. She stepped up on the scene and everybody get quiet. Like the scenes where she was in the room talking to the mob boss, and next thing you know, she behind everybody and almost like silence the whole room. Like, what? You don't see that. Um, so but I also like the last episode where they were introducing the rest of the fiends. So I definitely want the backstory on them, and then there's another character just for me doing designs that I'm interested to see in the next season or part two when it comes out. But overall, yeah, Chainsaw definitely will probably, if Attack on Titan actually ends this year, um, take the place of that ALT Love, you know, because we get in two parts of the final season of part infinity.
SPEAKER_02Shut up! So they're gonna fuck around and it's gonna be the part two, part two, part two.
SPEAKER_05I'm telling you, I I don't believe it's ending this year. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02You are not gonna see the end of this shit.
SPEAKER_05Nah.
SPEAKER_02They're gonna make a movie out of one part, one time.
SPEAKER_05Nah, I'm almost certain.
SPEAKER_02I still believe that shit.
SPEAKER_06See, that's that's why they lost me the first time, motherfuckers. You like that four-year gap, but even started season two without a recap or nothing. You remember what happened. No, I don't, bitch.
SPEAKER_01Like, it's been four years. What you mean? I gotta go rewatch.
SPEAKER_05I remembered what happened. I was I was right there with it. I remember Brandon was like, I don't what's happening? I was like, you don't remember? The thing that happened right before this. It's like you remember. You saw his daddy in the yeah, because then I was like, No, I think I was a little hazy.
SPEAKER_01That's what it did, you know.
SPEAKER_06Not lazy.
SPEAKER_01Um now, I Suchi, I want to see if you're gonna talk about your favorite episode that put you on hiatus for like a week.
SPEAKER_05I was not. I was actually gonna avoid it because I one, I don't want to spoil it for anybody. Um, all I was going to say was Um Chainsaw Man is a fantastic voyage, it is beautiful, pretty, all of that stuff. But if you are not prepared, uh I'll just say like this Shammy B warned me, and realistically, he didn't even warn me for what stopped me from watching it for like two or three weeks. He warned me for stuff that's even worse than that. So I'm actually not sure what I'm prepared for in the future because this episode, this not even episode, this moment in time, this moment like this, um, literally like stopped me from watching the anime for three episodes. I had to like take a couple, like every time I tried to turn it on, like instantly it flashed in my mind and I turned it back off. I was like, Yup, we can wait. We could wait on it.
SPEAKER_01At the end of every episode, the ending was different. That was genius.
SPEAKER_05That was genius. That ending was by far the most traumatic ending to an anime I think I've ever seen. Because it it re it re it re-ignited the feelings of absolute horror that I felt in the actual episode. Uh they knew what they were doing. They knew what same thing with Ryan Kugler. Y'all ain't shit. Nope. Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_01Uh all I'm gonna say, if you're you're about to watch Chainsaw Man, just buckle up for a wild ride. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he said it was a constitution is so necessary. I'll let people know, like, in terms of Chainsaw Man, the reason why I enjoy Chainsaw Man so much, also why I hope they do do a fire punch uh off the successor list, is because Chainsaw Man, from a writing perspective, though there are certain things that can't necessarily, because of how good the anime, the artist of this mega is in terms of paneling and how he writes his stories and uses particular panels in a particular way to show emotion, there are certain things that you can see in the anime, but they don't portray as well. And also for the sheer fact of this is one of the few animes that actually, when I was watching it, like there are moments in this anime, there's a moment in this anime that really did bring tears out of my eyes, and it just fucked me up. Because it's like that's not a normal thing. So that's like this this is one of those animals that really does eat in some parts of you that you didn't know existed. So um, and I hope they do do this the success of this carries on the fire punch. Because fire punch is another one that's also Alfred Hitchcock juicy to baby levels.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fire punch is fucked.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, fire punch is fucking fucked. Like Chainsaw Bad is relatable. Fire Punch, we'll have you smoking the blood, trying to figure out the ways of life in the universe.
SPEAKER_01It's fucking does everybody agree with Cobini being best girl? Because I keep hearing that who that Cobini from Saintsong is she ended up stabbing uh Aki. I keep seeing that people are saying that she's best girl.
SPEAKER_05I don't agree. Uh I kind of hate her.
SPEAKER_01I agree. I I agree, I agree, I agree, I hate her.
SPEAKER_05Uh with a passion. She can go fuck herself. Uh um sorry, excuse my language. No, seriously. Um yes. So uh before we go into uh a hate bashing session of that lady, uh let's go ahead and there are two other anime. Uh well, three other anime uh during that season that were technically considered reoccurring, uh, that came out. Uh one, of course, was uh part two of Spy X Family. Spy Family. Um also as uh uh Kaze brought up, Mob Psycho, uh the third season, third and final season, uh also came out fall uh 2022, and then the start of the sixth season of uh uh My Hero Academia. So all three of these anime uh again, well anticipated. Huh? What'd you say?
SPEAKER_01Did you hear me?
SPEAKER_05No, what'd you say?
SPEAKER_01I said so you're not just gonna disrespect JoJo like that and not include it in this this this season that just passed.
SPEAKER_05I wasn't going to not mention it. I was just gonna allow you to mention it. Fine. Jojo uh bizarre season 84 or something. Okay, anyway, so with spy family, um wait till One Piece comes out. One Piece is always out. So I don't need to talk about One Piece because One Piece is away from it.
SPEAKER_02Jojo's has consistently made a better world than One Piece, and it has the trash.
SPEAKER_05You know what's lovely? I never downsided or or or slighted Jojo. All I said is I don't know what season, I don't watch it, I don't know what season it's called or the name of the show. But every time I do that, y'all have negative things to say about One Piece. Like I've actually been caught up to date with One Piece. All I said was One Piece has not ever stopped, doesn't need to begin again. So back to my original point. Because I ain't about I ain't got to defend One Piece. One Piece defends itself. So back to what I was saying. My family, part two that everybody was waiting for. Very, very anticipated. Uh, continuation of the the uh Folger family, Lloyd Folger, uh your Folger, and of course Anya, and uh the uh final addition of Bond to the Family. Uh a lot of people were saying that they, you know, the vignette style of this particular season was a little interesting. It was different from the full-on episodes that they gave in the previous season for it. Uh, but for me, still comedic, uh, excellent addition. Some people said it was a little slow on certain episodes, they're waiting for a little bit more of a pickup. Um, I think with the addition of extra characters, they're trying to build out the world world a little bit more, especially towards the end of this particular part or the season uh or arc uh where they were adding the necessary characters, uh uh such as you know, Damien's father and um which I can't remember his name. Is it Desmond? Desmond Donovan Desmond. Um they were adding you know all of the necessary characters who are supposed to, you know, move Operation Strix along. So uh anybody actually watch Spy Family that wants to say anything about it?
SPEAKER_01I did, but it started to make me sleepy. Like I I didn't spy family is getting a little bit boring for me. Um, I think the most interesting scene this whatever. Uh the only the only interesting episode for me probably was the tennis match, but even then it was it it was it was alright.
SPEAKER_05I I guess I want more your I I need more your fair your yours didn't get a lot of screen time in this season, and even when she did, a lot of it was her panicking about how the how to cook. Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_01Alright, cool, whatever. Um, but yeah, I just it's just not doing it. So hopefully the movie is what I'm predicting. We'll see what happens. Um, but I I needed to pick up more than what it is.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I didn't actually didn't finish the season. Uh and I gotta say I kinda agree. Like I love uh I I love all the ingredients of spy family, but I think they're uh there's nothing there's nothing carrying me from episode to episode. Like it's kinda like, okay, yeah, no, it's cute. I think that's I think that's about as cute as the other thing I saw. So that's very similar. Okay, yeah. Like, okay, we're we're doing we're doing this now. Oh, okay, okay, I get it. Such and such. So um, yeah, no, I think I think I I think I need something overarching, drawing me forward a little bit more. So it's kind of it's feeling like almost like uh episod episodic with like more like you know, many many arcs here and there. And it's kind of like, oh, I don't I kind of don't care about what's happening right now, and you know, and I'll just kind of uh you know mentally mentally log out, which is weird because in my head, I'm like, oh man, Spotify, I'm watching Spotify, and then I'm like on my phone. Uh-huh. Right. I'm like, what's in my refrigerator? Oh, and then I'm like, oh fuck, I'm missing that. And then yeah, yeah. So uh yeah, definitely hoping that uh picks up for me too.
SPEAKER_02So quick thing to that, um for a lot of people, and like if anybody that's that's listening to this, my family works like this on a regular basis. Like, like even in a manga. It's issue eat like so. The way the episodes have been releasing for the arch parts is that each episode is a manga chapter. Literally, each episode has been a manga chapter. So how y'all feel the anime is exactly how you feel when you read it. With the exception of some art, being like you have the tennis smash art, or you have the uh when they got born. That was another one that was overarching for a couple chapters. They have some moments that are overarching for a couple chapters, but for the most part, it's uh a monster of the week type schedule or a monster of the week type story. Um with the exception of what might be the movie, which if they make the movie what I think they will, that's at least like five chapters that they that they could have made like a good over-argured five episodes, five or six episodes. They're gonna make that into a movie, it's gonna be like, all right, good luck, man. And like the next thing after that, that might be a carryover for a couple episodes, is like the Lloyd Forger story where they tell his whole background. So, but outside of that, the way you see it now is exactly how that manga goes. Where it's like a moment of the week type shit. Like, literally, the last episode I think was like chapter 20 something. It was like 24 or 20, it was somewhere in the 20s 30s, and that's exactly how the chapter went. Like panel to panel. They um it's almost like they made each chapter of a manga to be an episode of anime. So this is one of the better, this is one of the better adaptions from an adaption standpoint of keeping everything to how the manga was. But at the same sense, in that monster of the week deal, a lot of people don't watch anime sort of shit. It's like Scooby-Doo. Like, like, you know, that that's kind of what you give in here.
SPEAKER_05I mean, like I said, the the individual vignettes in each episode, um, it seemed like it was trying to move the entire anime forward faster instead of because they I'm sure they could have drawn it where it was an entire, you know, 20, you know, 30-minute episode, etc. But each vignette, like they had one, a couple episodes where it was like three vignettes in one, or three episodes in one 20-30-minute piece. And it was like, okay, so we saw what's going on going on behind the scenes uh operation strict, and we saw this one where they had like fake spies, and we have this other, so that they were like throwing things in there. I was like, okay. I've always I've always been like uh okay, why are we doing this? Are you trying to world build faster to get to the point? Or is this just how the anime is how it goes? Because that's not how it started in the first part. So it's it was interesting. So kind of to uh uh Dr. Quinzel's point about maybe it's leading, they're trying to accelerate and lead up to the point where the movie is supposed to come out, where the movie is supposed to kind of ultimately put all of these things together because a lot of things were introduced in shorter pieces. You said no.
SPEAKER_02So kill that idea. I like the dream, man.
SPEAKER_05I I like my hope. I like to dream.
SPEAKER_02I actually don't like killing my dream. The reason why I'm not trying to kill the hope, but I don't want the expectation to come along, is it dashed in the movie? Like, like the movies, like it's like they they have even in the manga, they haven't put everything together yet. Like you're seeing the world building, but you're not seeing where it's all kind of going to because they've already shown you where it all goes to. And that's where the problem, that's where a lot of the problem where a lot of people might come in, like there's an overarching story, but because of how everything is displayed to y'all, it doesn't seem like it. Like the overarching story is literally the last episode of this season. That's the overarching story right there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's always gonna be the overarching story, right? No matter what you see, no matter what they do, no matter what happens, that's always gonna be the overarching story.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_02It's the Donovan Desmond uh family thing. Right, everything else is kind of leading to that. Now, there are some things that they're gonna show in future seasons that are pretty cool. There are future family dynamics that you're gonna see as well. But um, and your, and I think the reason why they haven't showed off a lot of York now is because between the movie and probably a couple episodes after the movie, your gets a lot of shine later on. But um, but for right now, there is not it's it's not so much that it's world building, it's that it's literally showing you what you already know. You know that the ultimate mission is to get to Desmond. So these are all the little pieces that add to the idea of why you need to get to Desmond or getting to Desmond, or the little things that Lloyd has to deal with in life as being inspired, why he tries his ultimate mission to get to Desmond. That's all this is. Right over Archie's presence is Desmond.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_02Like I said, it's like it's like, but it's just the the feel of monster of the week, or you know, the little vignettes and stuff. That's just the way the bank falls. That's literally the way the banking goes. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Well, that's how the cookie crumbles. I'll still be on the train. Uh I'll guess I'll give you guys updates when I can, uh, unless, you know, Dr. Quinzel or uh uh Kaze, you know, jump back in. I mean, obviously, Shammy B already knows what's gonna happen. So uh we'll uh we'll continue to entertain and explain as we move forward.
SPEAKER_01I was about to say, in a mat in a minute, our daughter will be able to give you picture by picture because she's reading Among Us, so and she likes it. So I just yeah.
SPEAKER_05So uh, like I said, I mean I didn't watch it. I don't know if anybody here has seen it, Mob Psycho 100, uh, the final season. Did anybody watch it that can give any feedback on it? I'm on season two. Jesus. Oh, that's not too far back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't I didn't watch that.
SPEAKER_05All right. Well, anybody out there who's listening, maybe have seen Mob Psycho, maybe you can uh come on and give us a little bit of a rundown of exactly what the anime is about and give us a synopsis of the entire thing if we've already finished it. Um also, of course, uh My Hero Academia season six. Uh still continuing now into the week uh sorry, the winter season. Um what a what a start from that. I mean, when we left off in the previous season, uh, you know, they were kind of uh uh moving forward, uh explaining a couple things about people's powers and uh the enhancement of the world after you know everything that has happened. Uh but this new war, I mean, they were closing out the beginning of the paranormal, and I don't want to say it correctly, um uh paranormal liberation front uh is how they uh wrapped up uh the previous season, season five, uh, where you know um Shigaraki and the rest of his team, you know, kind of unified uh with the uh Liberation uh group, uh the former Liberation Army. Uh but now we're starting off and they just kind of you know busted down the doors of this tri-area or duo area uh mission to try and you know do some things. I'm not gonna spoil it for nobody who hasn't actually seen it, even though it's been you know several months at this point. Uh, but it's it's it's for people who like action from the beginning of season six, it's been nothing but action every episode. They actually just reached the quote unquote slowdown point. So um, if you are like some of our panelists, now would be the time to go back and watch that if you actually care about my hero academia and uh catch up to this point now uh where the the slowdown has now begun. Anyone watching other than me?
SPEAKER_02Real quick, the slowdown, so a lot of those are like, oh my god, there's another slowdown, it's not the slice of life slowdown that you've seen before.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no, no, no, not at all.
SPEAKER_02It's not, it's this is they're about to get to their dark stages.
SPEAKER_05Yes, correct.
SPEAKER_02And um the slowdown is is just watching Deku become pretty much Batman. It's the easiest way to say this. Yes, it's like like you're about to see Dark Knight Deku, and it's actually not bad. It's actually pretty good. It's pretty dope.
SPEAKER_05Yep.
SPEAKER_02It's pretty dope. Also, if anybody anybody that says Merkle ain't best girl, I'll fight you. Like that's ride and die right there.
SPEAKER_06Who best girl?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Mirko. Uh the rabbit chick, right? The rabbit chick. Funny chick.
SPEAKER_06So done.
SPEAKER_02Watch, watch, if you ever watch this season and don't think that that's the case, before I might have said something, but I because I know what happens in the season, yeah.
SPEAKER_05You you you definitely spoiled it for me. You definitely spoiled it for me. I appreciate that.
SPEAKER_01All he said was Mirko is best girl.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no. I'm not saying now, I'm saying at the beginning of season six, he he decided to have a conversation with me and definitely spoiled four episodes into the future. I was honest. You have to understand the way that I watch anime. Once you spoil it, I'm now sitting there waiting for that. Oh my god. Uh, it didn't happen.
unknownUh-oh.
SPEAKER_05Nope, didn't happen. No, it didn't happen yet. I just can't live that way.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that might have been me, not Shammy B. Uh uh. Remember because I randomly drew her one day?
SPEAKER_05No, no, no, it was Sammy B. Sammy B said it to me.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you it wasn't me. It wasn't because I looked at her and said, You just gonna spoil it like that for me. I looked at her and said that. That's all I was like. I like how y'all trying it. But I say quiet. I say quiet for a reason. And then she said quiet, because I just talked to her about it. And I'm like, damn, you're gonna fuck it up more like.
SPEAKER_05I'm I'm you I'm used to being betrayed by Dr. Quintel, but that particular moment I felt betrayed by you and it's still in my heart. So I know it was you. Yeah, but when I told you, it's it's still in my heart. I know it was you.
SPEAKER_02It wasn't intentional because it was a week ago. No, no, this happened four months ago. It wasn't a little bit more. And I looked at her after. Is because I turned the chair around to look at her and say, damn, you just gonna mess it up for her like that? And people like, oh my bad, you even you were like, Yeah, it's fucked up. A huge fact that so I like how you're trying to put that.
SPEAKER_05It was four months ago, and I still feel it.
SPEAKER_02I like to talk about the racism against mega readers. Oh my god. Like Jake's style to be like, we've discriminated for so long, dude. We don't deserve this.
SPEAKER_05I don't discriminate against mega readers at all. I I appreciate your ability to read in in uh in a variety of different text. It's literally your hero. You are my hero, academia. I appreciate you for being able to read at all different levels.
SPEAKER_02Dr. Hate. Oh my god. So moving on to the next anime.
SPEAKER_05Um uh oh actually, I think that was the last one. Oh no, no, Jojo. So, like I said, I got nothing on it. Uh, Dr. Quinzel.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you I need you to stop just the disrespect. Where was the disrespect? Anyways, so JoJo Stone Ocean was the final season of actually the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Art period. So, right now, I think they're about to completely rebuild the whole world, according to uh manga artists who actually did JoJo. But I highly recommend Stone Ocean. It is probably like tied with Stardust Crusaders for me. Um, because those two are my favorites. Uh, I would say out of all the JoJo arts. Um, Jolene did her part. She is just as calculated as her father, Johato. They they literally, the way they closed out this art was beautiful. Um, they gave you an ending to everyone's story. I'm not gonna say actually what happened, but I I would highly recommend reading or reading it if you want to, and watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean is finals before the next arc starts. Or the redo, the redo of the world starts. Because apparently the reason why he ended it this way is because everyone had he had maxed out all his stands. You will see stands do some things that you didn't think they had the capabilities to do. Um, so like he pulled out all the stops for this last this last arc for JoJo, even though it was broken down into like three parts, right? But they were a hundred percent worth it. So I highly recommend anybody to go watch that. It's underrated because Netflix didn't advertise it like they should have. So definitely go check it out.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so those are all of the the pretty much the top like five, I'm sorry, six anime that came out this that restarted or started or came out in fall 2022. Um, of course, there were other anime that started as well. Um, one of the most highly rated anime since then uh was Blue Lock, uh, which myself and Kasi Shunry, I'm not sure if anybody else watched it as well. I know myself and Kasi Shunry you watched it. It is a sports anime, it's based off of soccer. Um, I'm a lover of soccer, uh, not to the highest degree, of course, uh based off heredity, of course. Um, this anime is I don't have to have decent words for it. It's it's so like it's it's so shocking. Um, I think each and every episode. Um my my my main dude, Bakira, uh all day, every day. Um who's your main uh Kaze?
SPEAKER_06Uh I think the redhead.
unknownRedhead, redhead, redhead, redhead, redhead, redhead.
SPEAKER_05There's a couple redheads.
SPEAKER_06The the the pretty one.
SPEAKER_05Ah. Okay. I remember his name at the moment, but he did look like Karama. Uh I almost I almost got caught by that. I was like, no, no, no. Bakiran. Uh no, but uh, so blue lock, pretty much soccer anime. The premise behind it, and I can reveal this a little bit, is it's a soccer anime for uh the the the country of Japan. They are tired of being, you know, third, fourth, fifth place in world soccer, and they're developing the world's best striker. Um, that's all I'm gonna say. Uh if that doesn't tickle your fancy, then you know, try it out on your own or don't watch it at all. I don't really care. I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I mean, I think the I think the best thing about uh blue lock is is is extremely subversive of the um of like the sports anime just like formula. Yep. Like it's like uh it's completely like oh y'all friends, teamwork, fuck that shit. Yeah, yeah. Fuck it. Like and and like and and the best and and the best part about it is like uh my my man, it's not Kenpachi, what's the what's the glass's name?
SPEAKER_05I don't remember his name.
SPEAKER_06But like, but the I mean the the dude the the the the main dude who's like the brain whose blue lock is his brain child and it's his idea and he he and he's like running everything like he comes with receipts. He's like no no no no no no strikers need to be this, they don't depend on this. Oh, you think that you're wrong. That's why you're bad. Ego yes, Jimpacha. Yeah, um, yeah, no, and he he's like he I love him. Every time he pops on screens, he comes, he comes with his his uh his data, his uh, his uh his his his charts, his his his damn uh um let me try uh yeah, Jarvis. Gotcha, yeah. Like, because our obviously words aren't enough for y'all. So let me show you let me show you where you're wrong. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Every time you think you've unlocked a new skill, oh that's nice that you figured out level one. Now let's get to level 10.
SPEAKER_06Oh, and it was super, it was and it was super it was super good because I was showing uh I was showing a friend, and they were uh and you know they had the uh they had the the one guy in the first the first season who was like the the the main character the the main character in the in the regular sports anime and and they specifically instructed him to rip him apart. Oh like and my friend was sitting here like oh yeah yeah yeah no that makes sense and he was sitting here agreeing with him and and and and watching my friend uh get all right oh shit that makes no friendship.
SPEAKER_05Oh and your your dude is uh hioma chiguri.
SPEAKER_06Oh yes, yes, yes, hioma.
SPEAKER_05Um but yeah, yeah, and then like and also just like the the the the tension the the the the animation like like like like blue lock puts like is putting like shown a lot of shown into shame yes uh like like because if for for me watching it they're they're not basing anything off of like supernatural abilities they're literally talking about people's passion their skill and their their and they're they're animating it that like the the the the ego the the uh perversion in people's minds the passion in people's eyes the chaos in people's skill like it's all of that is painted so well the monster inside the monster inside it's painted so well it's so like smelling a goal like all of that painted so well. Yes, that's blue lob. Um uh the eminence in shadow, uh thoroughly love it. It is still continuing right now. Um it there's so many different things going on in this anime uh between the main storyline, the behind storyline, the confusion between the two storylines, the overworld, the underworld, the mid-guard. Like there's just so many things going on. And if you're not paying attention, you'll think you're on the right track and you're not. And Eminence and Shadow, personally, I love it. I know Kaze was watching it. I'm not sure if if you're still up to date or not. But yeah, dope. Uh check that out. Um uh To Your Eternity season two came out fall 2022. I know some of the panels are watching it, I was not, but some of them were. Anybody have any feedback on To Your Eternity?
SPEAKER_06Uh nope, I love I love the first season and I'm back.
SPEAKER_05Oh, uh then of course, there is uh Reincarnated as a Sword that came out in fall 2022. Uh Uzaki Chan Wants to Hang Out, season two also came out in fall 2022. Uh Shinobi no Itoki, that was an interesting one. Um, it was a more modernized take on ninjas or ninja villages, um, where they were kind of doing hostile takeovers while using cybernetic technology. Really interesting, really, really cool. Um yeah, really cool. Uh I I recommend those who like like medium levels amount of action, but like a good, uh a decent back-end storyline. Shout out out, she should take check out Shinobi Noi Toki or Toki Dimitri. Um uh Welcome to Demon School, uh Arumaton season three premiered still going on right now. Um also uh Mobile Suit Gundam, the Witch from Mercury. I think Kaze, you had started that.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah, that was so good. That was so good. It's so fucking pretty. Uh yeah, yeah, you know, which yeah, which from Mercury, like uh, like Witch from Mercury is like it's almost like if if someone took like the G Gundam and they was like, wait, wait, let's let's let's like let's let's let's put them like in school and make it serious. Oh wow and like and let's let's let's let's drip let's drip that like regular Gundam just like you know like pop politics and like you know this high high concept and passion and racism and and just uh you know yeah it's it's a wonderful ride. It's uh it it is a it is a vision just uh to just to just to absorb you know absorb everything in in your in your senses. I just like I like Witch from Mercury makes me stand up. Like like I'd be like, oh I'd like I I'm not like a pause and re-watch type that no witch from Mercury makes me like oh that did just happen. They ain't just look like that. Like that that was this and and like in in this the the last it one of the last like scenes of a sea one of the best last scenes of a season that I've seen like since like the like since the end of uh Fox. Take your time. Oh, it's a nigga with the white hair and and they was eating eating people. Oh and they had tentacles popping out their backs and shit.
SPEAKER_05What is that? Wait, oh oh, uh uh uh uh Tokyo Ghoo?
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they're eating people.
SPEAKER_06Oh, tentacles, yeah, yeah. Uh yeah, no, but ever, yeah, no, ever since that like just uh the that last episode.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that last scene Tokyo Ghoo. I just remember that. Thank you.
SPEAKER_06Uh yeah, yeah. Honestly the whole that Tokyo Ghoo, the whole first episode, but like, yeah, no, the last the last scene, like it definitely evoked that energy. And and and and and this was not that type of show. So for that, for that, yeah, for that to do that, it was it was fantastic.
SPEAKER_05Uh another anime that came out fall season 2022, The Little Lies We All Tell. Um, I saw part of it, didn't see all of it. Uh, premise, you know, there's an alien, a former ninja, a weak telepath, and a boy pretending to be a girl. Um, and then the anime starts. So yeah. Have fun with it.
SPEAKER_01So I have a quick question.
SPEAKER_05Sure.
SPEAKER_01So for the fall season, does that start for September, or is that more so October?
SPEAKER_05It was October. So all the anime was started pretty much the start of October.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I think I think I think like the I think like the very first one. So it's like the September 27th and 28th and shit.
SPEAKER_01Well, I kind of want to do an honorable mention. It was in September, technically.
SPEAKER_06It started in September.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it started in September. Well, it released. It was on Netflix. It released in September.
SPEAKER_05Right. Oh, okay. Oh, I know what you mean. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Cyberpunk Edge Runners. You got like you gotta talk about that. Cyberpunk Edge Runners.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, that's a joke. Yeah, I still haven't seen it, but I've heard amazing things.
SPEAKER_01Yes, um, that thing will have you on a trip from beginning to end, and that was just the first episode. I remember watching the the first episode sitting there, like, what the fuck did I just watch? Like, mind you, I've never played the game. Shammy B picked the game back up after watching this.
SPEAKER_06Like, yeah, that's been the story. There was there was a whole revitalization after that anime came out.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that thing was amazing. Like, I can't wait for them to do a part two because it's gonna be all different characters. Um, as y'all know, with Rebecca came from her. Hey, Rebecca was best girl for me. Fuck Lucy. I will fight you on that one. Um, but yeah, uh, so I actually have a design coming out based off of Cyberpunk 2. Alright.
SPEAKER_06Um, now you know.
SPEAKER_01Right. No world. The uh according to anime list, what was it? The Seven Deadly Sins movie actually came out in the fall.
SPEAKER_05Really? The movie? Yes, the first part. I thought we didn't want to talk about it because it was only the first part.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm gonna say this. If you wait, if you're a Seven Deadly Sins fan and you hop in there and you thinking you're getting the whole movie, I'm so sorry you're mistakenly wrong because that's what I did. I hopped in there thinking it was the whole damn movie. Pissed oops after I finished. So my recommendation would be to wait to watch the movie till later on this year when they drop part two so you can watch the whole thing through. It was good. Um, the animation is is like 3D art. Um, that was a a little struggle to get used to because I'm not used to seeing them like that. But um, yeah, just wait till later on this year when Netflix decides to drop part two.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. Did I say that? I don't think you did. It was on Netflix.
SPEAKER_01I I've been warning people not to watch it till later. So just just wait, just add it to your list. Go back when part two comes out.
SPEAKER_05All right. So that was all of well, that wasn't all of obviously this other anime that came out fall 2022, and of course, thank you, Dr. Quinzel, for the honorable mentions. Uh, but now we definitely want to talk about winter 2023, the anime that are out right now, the anime that, you know, I think a couple no, I think everything for the most part, it's already 27. Yeah, everything is out right now. Um, it's not out, it's not coming out during the winter unless it's coming halfway through the winter. Um, so these are the ones that you're watching currently that you are um excited about, that you want everybody to see. Um, you've already gotten at least, I think by now you should at least be three episodes in, give or take. Uh, some of them are a little like started a week after the first week of the year. So about two to three, two to four episodes into the winter season. Um uh does anybody have a specific anime that they want to point out before I go through the list for the most part? Something that just came out that they want people to know about.
SPEAKER_01So I'm gonna let Shammy B take over because for me, the winter season, there's nothing that's like I'm dying to watch.
SPEAKER_05I I'm literally watching 15 animes a week. Like, I like Kazi said something similar. I'm like, how is that possible? Some of the stuff to watch.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this this so I want to say this is looks like from what I saw in the winter anime season, this is one of the most saturated anime seasons. Saturated! Oh my god, like I think that's also because like I said, with the popularity of anime increasing greatly within the last couple of years. Yeah. Like we've all we've always seen it increase in terms of each season has more and more and more. But I mean, like, this season is fucking stupid. My god. But uh two anime that I want to talk about because I don't know if I'm guessing which ones is probably gonna get talked about. So these two I'm gonna bring up, one of which I mentioned to uh to uh Suchi yesterday, and that is Giant Beast of Ours. Yes. To be honest, the real reason why I think you should watch this anime is because the writing for one particular character is so good that it's astonishing. It's like they got it, they got a cat girl in this anime where every sentence is a pud in some way, shape, or I'm talking, I'm not talking about just adding a purr or a behal or something like that.
SPEAKER_05I think the doctor would like her.
SPEAKER_02Like, I'm talking like be claws. Think about that. Perfect.
SPEAKER_05Be claws.
SPEAKER_02Like, it's like just little things like that. Like, like they're adding purrs and claws and little cat plugs and words that I never even thought about. Like, it got me to the point where I watched it sub, I watched the fucking subtitles when she talks just to see where the putt was at. I know, right? Because it's something the best writing of a cat character I've ever seen in my motherfucking life. Because it's literally just like she takes chances with these words that I never thought. The McClaw still fucks me up to this day. Because I missed it when she said it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, I had to point that out.
SPEAKER_02And like Doc, yeah, Doc was to point that shit out. I had to rewire the video to see this shit. And I was so happy I did. Like, that just that was just, yeah. Her character alone in two episodes, that was been two, three episodes of the most entertaining thing I've seen. And then um another show called High Card, which is literally Yu-Gi-Oh in America. It's made by the people who did Kakaguri and uh it's literally like this there's these people who have these particular cards that give them superpowers, pretty much, or psychic abilities. And I'm talking these psychic abilities, like one nigga shot down a plane with a fucking haircut. It's uh for what I see, it's literally just pure fucking craziness. They go out against a group called P Duckle. Think about that shit. Like it's like it's literally just Yu-Gi-Oh! in Vegas. It's like I have seen. But yeah, I'll say that though, I'll let y'all have the rest.
SPEAKER_05Before I give the other list, does anybody else have an anime that they're currently watching?
SPEAKER_06Uh it's weird because I'm watching I started like three or four, but um, they're not coming to me.
SPEAKER_05You want me to chime in if I say it? Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Um actually one more, because uh I don't know if you're gonna mention this too. Nier and Thomas are got an anime.
SPEAKER_06I was gonna bring it up because I know yeah, I saw that. I haven't seen that. I haven't seen Trigun yet. Yeah, they're both out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, look, Trigun and Stampede's out on it's actually on Hulu too.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, um and Nier is on Crunchyroll.
SPEAKER_02Near's on Crunchyroll, Trigun's on uh Trigun is on Hulu. I forgot what else. There's something else on Hulu too. Giant Beast of Ours is on Crunchyroll as well.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02But um, and I think High Card is also on Crunch. A lot of these are on Crunch Rolls.
SPEAKER_05Yep.
SPEAKER_02But um Crunchyroll's buying it out like stocks. Huh?
SPEAKER_05No, I said Crunchyroll's buying up these animes like stocks.
SPEAKER_02And that's like Sony's Sony's just getting money at this point. But um, fucking, but yeah, Deer Tomata, if you played the game, watch the anime. Watch the anime, yeah. It's literally the same thing. Like, I'm talking, they literally go after the people who play the game. This is I don't know if it's pandering or not, but I like it. So how do I feel about it? Uh but yeah, that's that was the last one.
unknownFor me.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Um, did you find one, Kazley, or you want me to start the list? Uh no, you can go ahead. Okay. So, of course, season two of Vinland Saga came out this season. Uh it is is on uh Netflix and Crunchyroll as well as other platforms. Um, for those who watched the uh first season, the misfit of Demon King Academy, season two, is out right now. It is also on Crunchyroll. Uh Miss Uh Skittles, I know she's watching Tokyo Revengers, uh, the Christmas showdown. I know nothing of it, but it is out on Hulu, um, as well as other platforms, as Sammy B said Niro Mata, that is also out, Crunchyroll. Uh Bungo Stray Dogs season four is out on Crunchyroll. It is a completely different storyline. Like they the direction is gotta be. Yes, you are correct. Uh it is so different, but I love it. Like the the I think I'm not gonna say that. Well, okay, the appreciation I have for the choice of colors within the first two, three episodes. Um, the black and the whites, the grays, the pops of color of the blood, and things I just I love the understanding of how the world is starting out. It's it's really dope. Um, oh my god. An anime I've been waiting for for an entire year. Bofori. I don't want to get hurt, so I'll max out my defense. Season two, my bitch maple is back out. Yes, my god. Um, also, um uh inspector. Uh, I love to. Inspector season one. It is a supernatural, um, what's it called? Supernatural detective uh anime. Uh that's pretty much it. Yeah. Home Homegirl, you know, not only can she see spirits, she can she they pretty much reverence her uh in some way, shape, or form. Uh if you like the mythology, the mystical mythology of like ghouls and spirits of like Japanese lore, uh, and then you also like detective anime, detective type anime, uh mystery anime, 100%. And it's it's in with it's within the show and cat demographic. So if you like the action aspect, it's there as well. In Spectre, that's IN forward slash Spectre, like you know, the Bond movies, uh, season two. Uh Spy Classroom, uh, not unlike uh uh Assassinations Classroom, uh, but this one, of course, it doesn't have an alien. Uh, but this one, spy classroom is actually it's it's interesting so far. I think it's only on episode three. Um, I I I would recommend people who want to at least try it out, check out the first two episodes. Um it's interesting. I'll just say that. Um, if you like the first uh three seasons, it is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon, it's back out for season four. Um it just keeps going. It just keeps going. Like it's funny, it's the graphic almost got me, and I was like, oh, nope. I read the title. Um does it is there any real changes in that? I don't think so. Like it does not seem any different.
SPEAKER_02I always wondered about it. I always wondered about it. I was like, I keep hearing the same thing about it. It's like this um it's the same, it's the same story.
SPEAKER_05Same story. Yep. It doesn't it doesn't change at all. It just seems like it's different people, maybe, perhaps.
SPEAKER_06I mean, no, no, I chat that you're talking about uh what's the name of the dungeon? Yeah, no, no, it's uh it's it's slow, but it's they it's it's it's I mean no, it's like it's this it's the same people. Oh, it's the same people, they don't add people like I'm like like other anime ads people. Oh, that's all right. But but but uh but you know the same core.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I think because the graphic keeps changing, it makes me think that it's it's changing. Yeah, nope, I can see that. Trying to trick me. Okay, um, the ice guy and his cool female colleague. I can't, you know, slice of life, you know, it's for it's for it's for people who again um like adult slice of life animes, kind of like a work relationship. It's kind of cool. If you like seeing things that you can't do at work, watch it. Um uh buddy daddies. It's not what you think. Um if you if you ever watched the, I think it came out in the 90s or the 80s. Um, was it two dads and a baby or three dads and a baby, something like that? It's kind of that premise, but the things are the daddies are are are hitmen. So yeah, it's it's really dope. It's really dope. Um also uh ooh, here's a really good one. Um Ningin Fusion, uh Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity. Uh, so that particular anime, uh, I wasn't sure. Uh I thought you know maybe it was gonna be aliens or something like that, or you know, uh spiritual beings. I don't know. It said, you know, they didn't believe in humanity, but um, if you've ever been like double-crossed, if you've ever been lied to, if you've ever been like, matter of fact, if you've ever seen an anime and you see a character who's been completely tossed to the side, pretty much if you enjoyed shield hero and you hated how Now Fumi was treated, you will like uh uh Ningan Fusion because the main characters were all treated in some way, shape, or form, maybe not as bad, but in the all shape or form like Nao Fumi, and they're doing something about it. So I would definitely check it out. Ningan Fushin adventures adventurers who don't believe in humanity. Um, the magical uh revolution of the reincarnated princess and the genius. Genius, genius young lady, sorry. Uh that one also came out winter season. Uh, pretty cool. Uh it's really, it's it's it's really interesting. Um watch it. I don't want to give anything away. I'll I'll just say um it's very creative and the relationship that is budding. I'm I'm fucking with it. Um that's all I'm gonna say. Go ahead and check it out. Uh of course we said Trigun Stampede came out January 7th. It is on Fronty Roll. Um it's Trigun, I mean. I I really don't. It's people, uh, it's Trigun. Um wait, you say you did what? No, I said Tri Gun. I don't have to really describe it. It's it's just Trigun.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'll I'll say that if anybody who's watched the old one, um don't don't go in there with this type of expectations. It's it's they did the story a little different. Just let you know. Uh like some things that it seems like they're trying to make it more compact. It's kind of like what a lot of people wish would ultimately happen with like when One Piece went to end, or what they did with Dragon Ball Kai. It's like they're trying to make they're taking a longer story of uh the original Tri Gun and just making it into a shorter, more compact, more well put together, or more better flowing storyline. Um the art is made by the people who did uh did uh B-Stars and um Land Illustrious. So if you like those two animes, this is 3D art done correctly. It's not like how it's not berserk of like 2016 if she had this. Oh, it's not that don't yeah, don't go in there with those type of experience. It's actually done very well. So give it a shot, but just keep that in mind. It's not necessarily done the same pacing as the original.
SPEAKER_05Thank you, Sham EV. Um, another anime I watch, so you know, this is my preference because I for some kind of reason have some weird attraction to anime that involves slimes. Uh, by the grace of the gods too, uh just came back out this season. It's pretty much like a slice of the life of like business incorporated, business uh operations incorporated into it's really cool. But of course, they use you know monsters and stuff like that. Um farming life in another world. Again, same thing. First, sorry. Uh oh, the reincarnation of the strongest exorcist in another world. A lot of more isekai, but this one is pretty dark. Uh has very dark undertones. Uh, it's on episode three. Uh yeah, yeah, episode three. Uh, this one it's it's dark. Uh, pretty much, like I said, the strongest exorcist uh in you know feudal potential Japan uh gets rein, well not say Japan, just in the feudal world, gets reincarnated into another, which seemingly is like an accelerated version of his world, um, but it's another world. And um, long story short, I won't say long story short, in one part he he doesn't have the capabilities of the people in that world, but it does not stop him from like completely fucking shit up. Uh, so I'll just say that. Um, the Ice Blade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World. Not sure where this is going. Um I I I I like certain tones. It reminds me of oh crap, I can't remember the name of it. I can't remember the name of it. Uh it's like Bounce something. Um I can't remember the name of it, but it's another anime that came out like three or four years ago. It gives me that vibe, but uh it is a little bit different. Uh, I know Kaze will like this one and potentially Shemin B if he hasn't already read it. Um uh this one is Reborn to Ma uh sorry, Reborn to Master the Blade from Hero King to Extraordinary Squire. I was actually just talking to Kaze Shinri about this two days, two or three days ago. Um excellent, excellent anime so far. Um a lot of the anime this season is about people who lived very stressful lives and just want to relax now. Um and yeah, that's that's kind of what's going on. I mean, even uh um grace of the gods, same thing. Tired ass dude, but just wants to relax. Yeah, just leave me alone. I just want to chill. Yeah, you're doing too much. Um, ooh, campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill. Okay, hear me out. This particular anime. Um, so this dude was minding his business, walking down the street, and you know how they do the you know the Isakai's where they transport class students to another world. He was a businessman who was minding his business, happened to step on the teleportation circle, and was transported to the world with the actual heroes that were sent over there. And you know, everybody gets like a special ability that allows them to do stuff. His special ability was online shopping. Right.
SPEAKER_00Were you just like really good at it or a lot of it?
SPEAKER_05I I can't spoil it, but literally they went through his list, they scanned him with the crystal ball, and it's like we don't know what this means. It says online shopping. And he's like, huh? Like, literally, but it's hilarious. But once you figure out what that actually means, okay, you may actually really like the anime. I thoroughly enjoy it. Um, and then and then and then he gets a familiar, and his familiar is Fenrir or a Fenrir. So it just starts going. And that's all I'm gonna say. It's really dope. I enjoy it. Uh try it out. Again, it's Campfire Cooking in Another World with my absurd skill. Um, another anime is a handyman Saito in Another World. Again, people in Another Worlds, like I said. Uh, this particular one, it's interesting. Um, he's kind of a jack of all trades. Oh, he's a handyman, long story short, jack of all trades can do a bunch of different skills. And they take him to a medieval dungeon crawling type of world. And it's like, well, if all of his skills are based off of modernization, how the hell can he like really operate? So it's pretty interesting. Um okay. I recommend every one of our panelists potentially watching this. Maybe not Dr. Quindell. Perhaps. Uh, this is chilling in my thirties after getting fired from the Demon King's Army. I cannot. They have no shame. And chilling is C-H-I-L-L-I-N apostrophe. Like, literally, chilling in my 30s. I love it.
SPEAKER_02It was actually simple to hide. Like, it's like I kind of want to watch it. When I saw the title, I was like, nah. But then after hearing some things about it, I was like, I'm not giving a shot.
SPEAKER_05Just try it. Just try it. It's it's it's just try it. I I would say give it to episode four. It's only on episode three now. I think four for most people would pick it up again, but it's only at episode three at the moment. Um if you watched it before, Fruit of Evolution, before I knew it, my life had it. I had it made. Or my life had changed, sorry. Um, that one's out for its second or third season, I believe. Um, let me see. Revenger. It's getting mixed reviews. Uh, I still need to watch it. It's um it's pretty much about a master assassin. Uh assassin, I'm sorry. Um, it's historical base, a lot of gore. So if you like, you know, samurai period pieces, uh, that's an anime, watch it. Um, still trying to watch Ayakashi Triangle. Um, the only the reason why it's getting mixed reviews, and that's because people have small minds, is because um the people in this anime do sex changes when they transform. Yes. So, yeah, people are bothered by it. But it's it's not like it's it's like putting on a anyway. Anyway, so yes, sugar apple fairy tale. Um, again, excellent anime. I I recommended it to Kazi Shunyu the other day. Um Elves, well, no, fairy, sorry. Fairies, uh Slavery, there is no rape. There is no rape, but there's no slavery. Uh that that was that was like the first thing I asked. It was because once you saw chains, you were like so far.
SPEAKER_06There is no rape.
SPEAKER_02Redu a healer got y'all fucked up. Like Redo Healer got everybody fucking up.
SPEAKER_06No, no, because Redo Healer was was just hentai. So like that was that's expected. No, no, it's the random anime that I expect to have like actual stories and shit. That's it's it's it's it's just the it's the it's the pepper, it's the peppering of rape. Amongst the genre in it.
SPEAKER_02A lot of people for a second. I thought Shield Hero was gonna go down that route too.
SPEAKER_05I did too. I also thought that was gonna happen. I really did. Um, luckily it didn't. But yeah, but there is none in this one. Um, there is a lot of just twisted minds in this though, but not twisted in the sense of like rape and stuff. Uh people they're they're used to a cast system, and yeah, they they they don't treat fairies right. That's all I'm gonna say about that.
SPEAKER_02Um, I know I know a lot of it is.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh no, no. The thing I like the most about Sugar Happy Fairy Tale is like they they like they show like this really just like you know, like you know, for the fucked up, you know, system and world. And then like and and then this fucking ass, asshole, fine ass fairy dude fucking like locks eyes with this girl. We're not gonna talk about whole shit. We're not gonna talk about um, but like and it and it goes like instantly shojo and and it's like wait, what's why the screen get lighter? What's up and I'm like, why it also is is he looking at me? Wait, and then and then he's not talking to me, is he? But they just switch, like and you know, and then and and then they had the fight scene. I'm like, oh that was good too. Yes, and uh I'm like okay, okay, storytelling, we haven't we have enough the emotions and shit, and we fight okay, okay, yeah. They they they like they weave the that like little butt butting romance into the into everything. Yeah, yeah, every everything else is is well balanced. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Uh and then of course, um excuse me, as uh uh Shammy B said, High Card came out this season as well. It should be on episode three as of tomorrow, I believe. Um of course, as he also mentioned Oh, giant beasts of ours. Um uh also another anime that came out this season that actually made me go back and watch the original season and the movie, uh Surune, the Linking Shot, it's an archery anime. If you know me personally, you know I'm heavy into archery. I love it. I love this anime, it's so gorgeous. Uh if you watch the original one, the original one was gorgeous for its time, but then how they've enhanced the colors and just the different accents of the wind, uh the the the movements and the of the grass and the bow, it's just it. Um uh oh, here's another one saving 8,000 gold in order for my in another world for my retirement. Whew, man, it's an adventure. No, it's not, it's just uh it's pretty interesting though. Um uh real quick, so in this anime, I won't give away the plot or anything, but Homegirl, of course, gets sent to another world, but then she finds out she can go back to the original world, so she's like, Oh, snap, I can train, I can move back and forth at will. So she's like, she gets to the other world and she's like, Oh, I need to defend myself. So instead of like learning how to like hunt and forage for food, she goes back to our world and learns how to pack a gap to kill boar and dust. So she so she got like three pistols and a knife on her walking through the woods, and she's wearing like a short skirt, so I don't know where she's hiding them, but like literally, she has a desert eagle, she has a revolver, like, and they're like top grade military grade weapons that she's and she she didn't just like buy them, she went to go get training. She took like two weeks off to go get training from like mercenaries in like a part of the world that they didn't want to put on the on the screen, and she literally gave them a whole bunch of money and learned how to use all these weapons to protect herself in the other world. I was like, girl, but you could have just paid okay, but yeah, and mind you, that other world doesn't have any guns, so yeah. I'll I'll sh uh yeah. Um uh also, ooh, the one I told Kazi Shinyu about, I think um I definitely think the doctor will like this anime. It's called The Tale of Outcasts. Um, and I'm trying to see if I can give anything away. Um okay, all I'll say is there are some fine ass demons in this anime. I'll just say that.
SPEAKER_04That ain't another thing you do. I don't know what else to do.
SPEAKER_05Fine ass demons. Um, I'll just leave like all different types for all different eyes. Like, if you like them a little burly, you like a little thick, like you know, it's all they got it all up in there. Go ahead and check it out. Um excuse me. Uh what was the other one? What's it called? What's it called? What's it called? Oh, Sorcerer Stabber Orphan, uh Chaos in Urban Rama. So if you watch Sorcerer Stabber Orphan back in the day, like this is an old anime. It's like Yu Yu Hakasho Old, uh, in terms of the original series coming out. And they revamped it a couple years ago, and then they revamped it again, and now it's up to like modern stamina standards of uh art on the screen. Gorgeous looking now. Um, if you love the story, you'll love it in the new artwork. Uh so yeah, definitely check it out. Of course, you have all the continuations like we talked about. Blue Lock is continuing, uh, The Eminence in Shadow is continuing, uh, My Hero Academia is continuing, um uh and a couple of others. I I'm surprised Digimon Ghost game is still going on. I didn't Jesus Christ. It's still going on. I didn't know. I did not know. Um, so if you were watching that and you fell off, it's it's still waiting for you. So go ahead and um circle back to that. Did you mention uh Miss Fit of the Demon King? I did, it was the first one I said.
SPEAKER_06Okay, okay, yeah, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_05Um uh The Way of the House Husband season two, Netflix, back on out. Go ahead and check that out, of course. Um uh Junji Ito Maniac, uh, also on Netflix. Japanese Tales of the Macambra. I hope I said that correctly. Uh that's out there. Uh Record of Raknarok 2 uh came is coming out on January 26th on Netflix.
SPEAKER_06Oh, maybe they'll have a budget this time.
SPEAKER_05So go ahead and check that out. I know we were all anticipating the first season, uh, so it is definitely back out again. Scissors 7, uh Shadow Fate, uh is also coming back. Actually, it just came back out this past week. Um I think there's like uh Aggressuko, uh Aggressuko. Um fifth season on Netflix is back out, so go ahead and check that out. Um you said what? I I didn't know they was on five. Oh, yeah. Um let's see, Little Tan Later.
SPEAKER_02This is supposed to be the final season, too. I think actually.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02You said what? This is supposed to be the final season. This is one of the few shows that Netflix is actually letting run. Like this is it. We actually let it in on a proper note.
SPEAKER_05Wow, that's good. I'm I'm proud of them. That makes that makes a lot of sense. Ooh, Legend of the Sword Domain is back. Sorry. For personal point. Uh, yes, so a lot of anime. There's a lot of uh uh Chinese and and Korean anime that are uh uh uh that are premiering this season as well. Um I cannot pronounce any of those names and I don't want to look stupid doing it. So we'll post it on our social medias, you can check those out as well. Um, are there any other honorable mentions or anime that anybody is anticipating seeing um that is not out? I mean, a lot of the movies, uh uh what just came out? Uh uh that time I was reincarnated as a slime. Uh the movie just came out this past weekend. Uh, saw it with uh Dr. Prinzel and Shammy B sham shampoo bracelets. Every moment of it, I enjoyed it. I I was so upset. It was so amazing. I got in there within 20 minutes. I needed to use the restroom. I did not get up because I refuse and it was I it was it was lovely because I could tell where it could have been episodic, but it was such a flow because it's you know slime that it was it was so gorgeous, it was so good. I I loved I can't say anything, it was so good. That's all I'm gonna say. It was really good.
SPEAKER_02The easiest way to say it is you like the way that they do uh multiple character stories, this they do that well again. Like it's almost like I was telling um Dark Clinton's on the way back, that movie feels like they kind of put him in the background of the other characters, give the other characters a shine without him actually being in the background. Like it's the way the way they balance it out, it's like it's like it's like the event old school adventure movies, like how they balance out every character very well. They do that here. There's a lot of fucking characters.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. And he's and he's operating like a head, like a powerful head of state. Yes, yeah, that but all but also he he wasn't written out. He just decided not to instantly solve all the problems because if only we could get that in real life. That's from the literally talking about a fast cabinet. Come on.
SPEAKER_02Listen, the literal, the real life he's the guy.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you gotta go somewhere else for that.
SPEAKER_05No, no, but you're you're so correct. There's there's even a moment in the movie where something occurs and he has the ability to just go and fix it immediately, and then says. Hmm. And the everybody's like, what? You're not gonna do anything? No, think about it. And that's when everybody around him is like actually copulating it now. Like he's not that he's like thought 10 steps ahead, but he's like taking the moment. Like you said, he's not jumping into action, he's allowing the people who are already on the scene to take advantage. And then, like you said, head of state, not throwing everybody out there. He's like, okay, you go over there, you go over here, you guys come with me. And uh, it's just yeah, and you didn't even see it yet, and you already knew that.
SPEAKER_02That's how I got reincarnated into a democracy with common sense. Shut the fest show, best show I'll ever see. 10 out of 10, we'll do it again.
SPEAKER_05But excellent, excellent movie. Um, there's a couple other ones. I know One Piece Red also previously came out uh uh fall to winter. Um what was it? The other anime movie that was coming out, Dr. Quintel, that we were talking about.
SPEAKER_01Sword Out Online.
SPEAKER_05There it is. Sword Out Online. Uh, you said it's next month?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_05Yes. Yes, that's coming out in the month of February. Um, I feel like there's another animated movie, but for the live image.
SPEAKER_06I saw one, it was a trailer for the slime movie. It started with like a K or something.
SPEAKER_02It was Studio Ghibli has a movie that's coming out.
SPEAKER_01I think that's the one you talk about.
SPEAKER_02It's like this little, they talk about this little secret door, and you see this girl coming out of it. Yeah, that's that's Studio Ghibli's, and I can't remember the name of it, but that's that's Ghibli. That's Gibbs. That's Gibbs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know like like when we were watching the trailer, I was like, damn, this looked like bubble. I missed bubble. It was so good.
SPEAKER_05It did look like bubble, right? Yeah. Like all I saw was the damn chair running, and I was like, okay, so we may have to watch this.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, no, that looked that looked that looked really good. Um, I know uh two two that I was uh looking forward to. Uh well, not even looking forward to. I was uh I was told about one. One was uh kind of kind of the great snow scene. And um, I don't know, I'm not, and I'm not even uh completely sure what that was what that was about. I just heard it was supposed to be pretty decent and it was a fancy. But the one I was really looking forward to is uh called the fire hunter. And uh in a pr in the prem in the premise of that one is like uh like you like humanity just had like some like great war. That shit looks great. It did look so good. And and and uh and and and uh and the result in the in the results of this war is that humanity can like if if they're in the presence of a fire, that they will combust. So so so now so now this civilization is completely changed because you know, like fire, that that's like the first thing we discovered and every you know and and and so many things are revolved around. So now they have to like they had to find a completely different like energy source that does not that does not involve fire at all, and they like and they had to re you know, read they had to yeah, they had to do to work everything around that and it looks it looks so good.
SPEAKER_02The other thing when he says fire, he means like the slightest embedded, like a slight spark will blow up a city. Type stuff like it's not a game, like like they they it it's it's one of the coolest proofs I think I ever seen, but he's right. It ain't just fire, it's like literally a slight spark. Like if you if a if a rock strikes against the ground too hard, that village is done.
SPEAKER_05Um also uh Black Clover has a movie coming out March 2023. Uh so that you know should be like the the end, it should be the end of the winter going into spring season. So I'm definitely excited about that because how dare you leave me on the cliffhanger.
SPEAKER_06Um is that like a summary of continuation? I pray it's a continuation.
SPEAKER_05I don't know yet. I pray it's a continuation. That's all I can say. All right. Uh Psychopaths, as you know, if you've been listening to this podcast, is one of my absolute favorite anime. It's coming out with a movie this year. I'm so excited. Uh uh, of course, uh later on in the year, Sailor Moon, um, Cosmo, Cosmos, sorry, uh, Dr. Quindell, you want to say a little bit about this that you know of?
SPEAKER_01Wait, which one was it? I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_05The Sailor Moon with the Starlights.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, Sailor Moon Crystal. So I personally didn't even know there was a last season because it was the season that didn't get adapted over here originally. Um, so from what I heard, now Lulu has the full adaptation to it. So if you want to watch that last season, you can. The only thing is, you know, for people who hopped in with Sailor Moon watching Crystal, I think watching old Sailor Moon trying to flush out their story may be a little bit long for you. Um, because you know, the story now for Crystal is a lot shorter than what we got from the 90s anime. Um, but the this art will give you uh an extent to Serena's power. Because it's deeper than what people think it is. So I I think people will enjoy this last this last chapter of um Sailor Moon if it's if it if they officially make it the last chapter of Sailor Moon Crystal has to deal with the stuff Sailor Starlight in there, um, which by far I think people enjoy because it'll have a little bit of a musical aspect too, because they're also a music group. Um that's as far as I'm gonna go because I don't want to spoil the movie, but I will say it's coming out in June in Japan. I'm not quite sure when it's gonna come out over here because I know when the last crystal movie dropped, we had to wait quite a while. But um, when it does come, I definitely recommend checking it out.
SPEAKER_05Excellent. So, of course, gotta wrap up this episode. Gotta go ahead and end it now. Um, just to give everybody the opportunity, as always, to showcase uh or let people know how they can be reached. Uh, I will uh, of course, uh shampoo bracelets. You want to go first?
