Welcome everyone to this episode of the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. Hail to the chief. Hell to the presidente. Hail to the next motherfucker inside of the house covered in white. We are talking about not necessarily the election. We're talking about the stresses of election week. I think us as a group are in an age bracket that have come to a certain pinnacle. We're not young enough to uh say we've never voted before, but we're not old enough to say that we've been in elections for decades and decades. But I think we can all agree that this probably has been one of the most stressful, annoying, nerve-wracking, unnecessary, really necessary elections that we have ever come across. And uh our we we the final decision was actually just made um per this recording about 24 hours ago, honestly. Um so we're here just to uh talk about our experiences, talk about our reflection, talk about how we feel about everything from a couple of months ago, learning about the progress towards the election to how we feel about the current winner. Um and yeah, so let me announce the uh panelists for today, starting with myself. I have uh uh myself, which is Suchino Shogun. Um I also have uh Ms. Skittles.
SPEAKER_04Hello.
SPEAKER_09I have uh Kaze. Yo yep. I have uh the Doctor. Good. And I have shampoo bracelets.
SPEAKER_01What up? Yo.
SPEAKER_09So uh this I think is gonna be a very uh, I hope it's gonna be very therapeutic in nature, getting off some of these stresses that we've had these last couple of days uh and weeks. Um, as I hope you know, whoever's listening to this podcast, the last couple of months we've been preparing for the 2020 uh presidential election, uh, among other elections, if you're paying attention. Uh trying to vote in either uh Joe Biden and Miss Kamala Harris, uh, or uh re-electing uh President Trump, as his uh Spanish-speaking friends call him, um, and uh Mr. Pence, Lord of the Flies. Uh so uh it was a decision to see, you know, who we were going to vote for, who was gonna make it into the House, uh rather the White House, not the House of Representatives. Uh, and um, as we approached it, we determined, uh well, not we, but you know, the country, the government determined that because of COVID, they wanted to institute a new voting method. Um, now, the method isn't new in the sense of it's never been done before. It's new in the sense of it's now widespread. Uh, before voting mail-in ballots were for those in the military, uh uh elderly who can't leave their houses, or individuals who work in the medical field who can't leave their certain environments. But now, due to COVID, everybody being at home, they've given us the opportunity to do mail-in ballots if we didn't want to leave the house uh because of COVID. So you had the option to write on your ballot, mail it in, or rather specific specifically drop it off in a ballot box at a certified location to make your vote for who you wanted to be president. Now, before we go into who won and how we felt about that, let's talk about the stresses of preparing for the election. Now, I want to start with shampoo bracelets. Uh, you guys have uh entire um uh uh actually it's a what is it the is it a 2.5 or 4.5? Uh uh what's that thing where you got like two kids and a dog? 2.5 kids? Yeah, you got a whole like household going on, and well, it's not a dog, a cat, but you know that's not that's not the point. So how it's about the same. It's about the same. Okay, so how how was preparing for or or knowing what's going on what's going on as we approach the election, what was that like in your household?
SPEAKER_01I actually know I will I remember I'll go first. Um the reason why I say that really is because I will be honest, I don't pay too much attention. Uh I mean, like I pay attention, but it's the thing of I have my how should I say my beliefs? Yeah, my views that I've already predetermined in my mind or how things are going to pan out. The only thing that I didn't really know was who would win. But as time as it started getting closer and closer to the election, it became I shifted, it started shifting for me, and I was like, oh, I I see what I now see kind of what's going on. Um because a lot of a lot of the way that he that the current president carried himself towards the the time of the election, it kind of gave me the idea that it was like, I I think we are about to see a change uh towards the end of this year, towards uh the dynamic of the White House as we know it. So um I wasn't in fear or panicked in any way, shape, or form. It was kind of one of those things where it's like, you know, if it happens, it happens. Um kind of how I went with the last election because at this point it's a thing of could I vote independent? Yeah. But I might as well just not vote at that point.
SPEAKER_03It'll have been a whole episode of American Horror Story. I don't know how many people saw that episode, um, where it was the cult where that the the two wives, one of them voted independent, and the other wife just pretty much wanted to kill her. Um I think I was paying more close attention because of what happened last election. Like I remember waking up and it just felt like I didn't feel depressed, it just felt eerie. Like it just felt like the world went somber for a minute because it was rainy, it was cloudy that day. Like I even had a guy, yeah, I had a guy walk up on me and ask me how did I feel? I was like, okay, everybody's just as fucked up as I am.
SPEAKER_06How are you doing, girl?
SPEAKER_03Like you know, I was like, I was like, I didn't know how to feel and then my job at the time, you know, I had residents, so I had some residents that were that actually shocked me being in support of the current president, being as she's an immigrant, and I've never heard someone talk so fouly about the illegal people that were over here. And I well, I haven't. She was an older lady, and I'm like, regardless of their status in this country, at the end of the day, they're still your people.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_03So for you to sit here and just shit talk them the whole time, I'm just in like a state of shock. And then she would come out with her little trunk book that came out to read. I was like, you might find that shit in the trash. Anyways, um, and then I had people that were like, me, that were just like, what the fuck is going on? Um as far as the election, I was at one point worried that he would get back in only because of the massive amount of hate that we have seen through the course of his presidency. So that worried me. And then the fact, you know, Corona wanted to show its ugly head. I'm like, oh my God, this is just what they need for everybody not to get to the polls. So um, yeah, I think I think my mind was more I'm reading everything to figure out what's going on. Now, as Corona was coming through and how he handled the situation, I think he fucked himself, if I'm gonna be honest. Like, the fact that President Obama had that whole plan in place for if this was a situation, like, I get that you didn't want to touch anything that quote unquote a black man put together, but you could have said it was your idea, you could have done so we wouldn't be in this situation that we're in. And then for on top of that, for you to hold out on money for people who can't work during corona until after the election, I just thought that was selfish.
SPEAKER_07No, no. Petty is the correct terminology.
SPEAKER_03Petty's selfish, it fucked him over, didn't it? Um, so yeah, uh, all in all, I'm I'm happy that he lost. I can't wait till he gets out. I think he needs to be removed.
SPEAKER_09We're gonna get there. We're gonna get there just before the election. Hold on, hold on. Now pull it back, pull it back. Um that's what I have to say then she should have gone first.
SPEAKER_01Way more than it was to be.
SPEAKER_09Oh, you know, I'm actually surprised how tame that entire explanation was. Um, Miss Skittles. Uh, so you know, we obviously moving towards the election, uh everything was, as I said before, was very new, you know, mail-in ballots, um, you know, the the the person who we have to vote for, um, the person, persons who we have to vote for, the people who are in the house and the people who weren't. So, what was your thought process um earlier in the year, as we were moving into 2020, when they were trying to figure out who was kind of who was going to become the democratic uh representative? Like, how was your feeling about that? Like, like, you know, we had like what 20, 20 plus potential Democratic nominees.
SPEAKER_04Um individuals. Um I I so I was honestly, I was I was is as old as Bernie Sanders is I was I was hoping that like he would he would run his course for for running. Um because I had followed him uh previously for the last election, and and there was just a lot of things um that I there was a lot of things that he was saying that I I resonated with. Um although you know it's always you always hear their their um their stances, but you don't know how exactly they're going to implement them. Um so you're just always hopeful that, okay, I hear what you're saying, how we gonna do this, and and if if if you are elected, you know, hopefully what you said you're gonna do is is what's gonna happen. And I think that that that is just how it is with every candidate. Um but in in previous uh years, uh Bernie Sanders has talked about things like universal health care and and things of that nature that I think our country could benefit from um because other countries are doing it and they're and they're successful at doing it. Um and we have we have you know we have the capabilities to do this, but I I feel like America is is dead set on um using using its people everything's about money with us, everything's about the economy with us, and um we normal normally from what I have seen, you know, we we don't really we don't really seem to care about the greater good of you know everybody as a whole. So um I'm hearing I'm hearing the the speeches and things coming out of the Biden Harris campaign, and again, always sounds promising. Um I was disappointed when uh Bernie Sanders dropped out, but you know, the next option was Biden Harris, uh despite the negative things that I was hearing about Biden and the uh pedophile uh claims and then Harris and uh well both of them technically with the with the um criminal reform and things like that. So um but with all of that, with all of that being said, I have experienced four years of the orange Cheeto and how he's and how his um you know democratic uh president presidency has gone thus far and it just like I cannot I cannot deal I cannot deal with this for another four years. Uh like like um Shampoo and Braces was saying, the the amount of hate that I that has you know it's excreted from these these people who who make up our our country um is just it's just wild to me. It's it's definitely like uh um history uh repeating itself, uh only modern day racism. I mean systematic racism has always systemic racism has always been here, but to to have it, you know, out in your face readily again and openly, and and people are unpologetic about it, like I'm like, yo, do you really want a race war? And I feel like that's where we're headed if we had another another four years of Trump. Um you know, and then on top of that, not not handling this pandemic well at all, like uh like we're we're on the verge of like a second wave, and and there are states and counties that are you know going back in their phases. There are other countries going back in their phases, and you know, there are places like I know my job, my job acting like everything kosher. Like they talk about, you know, uh, you know, having conferences where people are physically coming back into the building. Um, and you know, we're already a hundred percent reconstitution. Yes, we can we can use telework, but if you want to come back to work, they're like, okay, cool, come back.
SPEAKER_06Nah, bruh.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03Well, at least you have the option. Like, Mark's been at work this whole pandemic, and the fact that his job doesn't like test them on like a weekly, if not monthly, basis is ridiculous to me, especially since you're sending them into other people's homes. Right. That's and then right, and then let's say he has it and then he's asymptomatic, but the rest of us don't know it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So then you gotta hope that the rest of us are asymptomatic or or that's we just don't get it at all.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_01That's right. Like I literally, I literally am on these streets dodging like matrix. Like it's not like it's like like a lot of times. I have procedures that I have to go through. Um, and then even once I get home, it's like a thing of I the kids can't touch me um once I get until I get changed for feedback. Like I I um I will immediately wash my hands, and that's after, and might be that's after I've already gotten in the truck and then immediately put on hand sanitizer for I control. So you know it's like, and then probably did again if I stop anywhere. So it's like I have to go through quite a bit actually uh because of this whole pandemic thing. So for anybody that you know is just like, oh, the pandemic has made things hard, I can't wear a mask, like, dude, you you know what it's like if you have to climb into an attic or climb up a 16-foot ladder up and down while put while carrying equipment, you know, while wearing a mask. Like my breathing now is probably stupid. Like, you know, it's like I don't think I've been, I don't think I've been like this this well with you know breathing and stuff since I because I was in the military. So it's like it's kind of like this is this is different. And I understand it is rough, but this like this whole having to work through the pandemic and everybody being without jobs, that's been really crazy. Like, yeah, I have to look and be like, yo, this could be worse. Yeah, I could be, we could be homeless, damn near on the break right now because I wouldn't be able to work with everything going on. So um, and that's another reason why I said I kind of figured there was gonna be a change too, because of how everything was carried out during this pandemic thing. It's like you like, yeah, I understand there's a lot of people that like Trump for uh for his narratives and his ideals, especially when it comes to people of color or illegals and stuff like that. Um, but at the end of the day, everybody likes money. Nobody racist gets green. So it's like, so you know, there's no such thing as racism to green. Like everybody loves money. So when you start to do things that can mess with everybody's money, especially for those who do work in industries where they have to be there in person or they have to work with their hands, it's not computer-based by any means whatsoever. It's you know, uh it's very mechanized or mechanical or uh or you know, like actual blue-collar work, and you make it so they can't work, they're gonna look at you differently because at the end of the day, they still value that that dollar.
SPEAKER_06At the end of the day.
SPEAKER_01And that's where I think a lot of changes came into play. I think that I think as bad as the pandemic was, the pandemic had some good side effects to it as well.
SPEAKER_03This being one of the between that you had other countries giving their people like, I think it was like a bi-weekly or like a monthly stipend of like money for them to live on while they shut the whole country down.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, you mean to tell me that America's supposedly one of the richest countries in the world, and you can't do that for your people while you shut everything down?
SPEAKER_04We can't, because they don't care. That's the point. That's what it is. We don't care about thing but the economy. And if if the American people are not putting their dollars into the economy, is is we not for that.
SPEAKER_03They're not for any of that. I'll be interested. I'll be I'm interested to see, because you know, we're about to come up on the nation's biggest shopping holiday, pretty much, which is Black Friday, even though they don't spread it out through the month. But I'll be interested to see how those numbers look, especially since you have people without jobs right now that can't afford to spend that money.
SPEAKER_09No, I mean the the the they they that's why they that's the real reason why they spread it out. They didn't spread it out because they wanted everybody to be, you know, six feet a different distance and safe because of COVID. They spread it out because they want the economy to recover and they want people to have more options to quote unquote make well on these deals that they allegedly have out. But realistically, for you to have deals, that means you have to put things on sale. And if people weren't buying anything this entire time, then where's that money? Where are the levels? Right. So aside from that, uh, the doctor, I did want to ask you, kind of based off of what Champ Sue Bracelet said about uh the positives um that have come about because of the pandemic, there are a lot of things that I feel a lot of the voters who went in, you know, probably in the initial stages, they knew exactly who they were gonna vote for. But then the reactions in how we're responding to the pandemic and COVID easily took them like you're not even caring about my family, you're not caring about my well-being, you're not caring about how I'm working. So, how did the reaction to the you the reaction of the steps, the stages, the phases for COVID and the pandemic, how did that impact your voting or your views of the election?
SPEAKER_00Okay, so I mean, as far as me personally, it didn't change anything at all, really, because you know, it didn't change my vote. But as far as you know, Trump, how did it affect like Trump supporters and whatnot? Um, I completely agree with Champion Brisbane's that if not for the debacle that was COVID, I think he would have won. I really do, and I think it for a few reasons. So, first off, kind of like what Mr. Gill said, like I also, you know, as far as ideals of politicians, like Birdie Sams appealed to me the most. Like he really did with my ideals about universal health care, universal education, and all this. Um, I was before and I liked a lot too, but I was definitely my neutral pick. You know, I was concerned that okay, he doesn't excite people enough and whatnot. And that was one thing that was making me nervous going into election week. Um, but the other thing was, you know, I do not underestimate how motivating white supremacy can be when it comes to the racist vote. And Trump has given white supremacists a political voice. They have not had at any point in my lifetime that I'm aware of, you know, um, so openly, you know, so proudly and whatnot. And that is something that made me very, very nervous. So, but the way that COVID plays into this, you know, with COVID, it was something that first off, he just mishandled so badly from start to finish, and he was just lying to people about it from the beginning. Like for saying, oh, it'll be, you know, it'll just vanish, you know, in a month or so, and it'll poof, as false it appeared, it'll be gone. You know, then it was, oh, well, you know, it's not, we're not gonna have that many deaths and whatnot, and you know, and it just got worse and worse and worse. And then this is, of course, following like him disbanding the uh, you know, pandemic response team that Obama had put together. This is following him gutting a lot of healthcare organizations too. That's what I think it doesn't get talked about, but a lot of healthcare organizations took some hits in their funding like over these past four years. So there was all of this. And then, you know, even for a lot of the really staunch Trump supporters, like for some of the moment it's going to start to hit them in a way they can't necessarily ignore. Because the reality is, it's it's easy to be conservative about issues that don't hurt you. It is very easy to be conservative in those situations because, of course, well then, you know, oh, it doesn't hurt me, so if it's hurting them, it's because these people don't work hard, or you know, these people, you know, well, they make bad choices, so it's their fault. And then all of a sudden, when you know it's your grandmama dying, you know, or your, you know, your mom and dad losing their jobs because the economy was just so destroyed by this. Now all of a sudden you have to face that reality. You know, and you can lie and blame it on immigrants as much as you want, or you can blame it on minorities taking their jobs, but the reality is at some point you you kind of have to realize, hey, look, this is this was a failure by the people who are supposed to lead us. And I'm just thinking, like, good God, could you imagine if Trump was in charge when Ebola hit? Like, could you imagine that? What would have happened with 1N1? You know?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it was this was just such a disaster. And, you know, I think in those like how COVID affected the election, like that, I think it was really just a huge tipping point, if not the biggest tipping point. I also think that, you know, a big thing that really galvanized people to vote since you know, we've had more votes in this election, I think, since in the history of the US. Yeah. Yeah. So a big part of that is that, you know, there are all these clearly open and really overt like threats to suppress votes. Like in a completely clear way. So of course this is getting people galvanized like, oh, yeah, we have to ramp out our voter outreach effort, outreach efforts. We have to ramp up, you know, bussing people to the polls and whatnot. We have to ramp up making sure mailing votes get counted. Like, it still amazes me that he just wanted to call for the votes to stop counting.
SPEAKER_09Like, I took this moment that still infuriates me.
SPEAKER_03Like, yeah, like you were the biggest advocate at one point for all the votes getting counted, but then when you saw that it wasn't going in your favor, no, stop it, stop it. Like, how you sound?
SPEAKER_09Like, and it was to the point where he was even confusing his own supporters. Like, I saw a video where at the exact same time in different parts of the country, there were people cheering, oh, stop the stop the count, stop the count. Then another part of the country count the votes, count the votes. I'm like, I don't understand. They didn't either.
SPEAKER_03They didn't even, they were just as confused as he did. And I've never seen someone hang on, like his following hangs on to every word. They call they don't fact check it, they don't do shit. We just Facebook's cult shit. It's cult shit.
SPEAKER_08Them niggas because they talk now. They're talking about legal votes.
SPEAKER_09Now they think you're gonna go to court and sue because people were voting.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you right now, if he starts suing people for the people who voted for Biden, I'm counter-suing. I want pieces of coin.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00What are we saying, bro? No, it was just it was such a mess, and it's so transparently like, you know, you're just clearly trying to fill the election. That is that, oh yeah, stop counting in Pennsylvania, but make sure you count all the votes in Bible. Because I'm not looking there, I'm not working there yet. Like, it was the whole thing, it was one of the most gross things in our political history that I've personally seen. You know, this is something like we think about the civil rights movement of the 60s, like this is shit I would think happened then, you know. This idea of just like really open gross voter suppression to a degree that it's just it's well, you know, it'd be comical if it weren't so you know, really just deadly, you know, in terms of our democracy and whatnot.
SPEAKER_04So literally taking mailboxes, dog. Mail, yeah, yeah. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03That that was what that's what fucked me up for a minute, how he put that guy in place over the post office. And I was like, and then admitted that he's trying to mess with the election. I was like, oh, you bold bold.
SPEAKER_09You you bold bold.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_09I'm sorry. And then sent his son. I'm sorry, but then he sent his son to go and tell them that oh, these people will not let us watch them count the votes. This is this is un-American, this is illegal. We should be able to watch them count the votes. I'm like, no, we we've we've been doing this for a couple for a couple of centuries.
SPEAKER_04Well, whole time, whole time, they already on on the internet via Zoom or whatever, counting votes. You can see it, you can literally log on to see them counting votes. Like, what are you talking about? And then they uh he was in Nevada talking about they count votes of dead people. How do you know that, sir?
SPEAKER_03What could you go look up a death certificate? Wait, how do you know a dead person voted?
SPEAKER_04Like, where are you getting this information from?
SPEAKER_09You know where he's getting that information from? It was what be is what they said that Trump's campaign did four years ago when he beat Hillary. Like, specifically, they said he was using votes of already past immigrants and United States citizens to cast those votes. That's what they said he did, and now he's saying that that's what the people against him are doing.
SPEAKER_03Oh Lord. Well, then that's like, did you hear that there was some there was a group of people in Virginia that drove the Pennsylvania on a storm? Yeah, and then there was another guy who had like fake votes, like fake ballots that he was trying to give to people. I'm like, y'all are out of control.
SPEAKER_06Wow.
SPEAKER_03All when he leaves, take all of your following with you.
SPEAKER_06Take them.
SPEAKER_03All of y'all and the 60,000 that voted for Kanye.
SPEAKER_06Let it go. Let it go.
SPEAKER_03No, no, let it go. Let that go.
SPEAKER_06Let it go.
SPEAKER_04Oh god. God, this the the whole shit is it was a shit show.
SPEAKER_07It really was.
SPEAKER_04Um I just uh and and uh even with even with COVID and all of everything happening and the push for um absentee ballots or whatever, normally, um normally I would have voted absentee. Like I did my thing early and go over and vote wherever. But this time I made sure that I did early voting in person. Especially with all of the the voter suppression and and the fact that they was literally on the news that I'm talking about videos from Twitter where they're carrying whole blue mailboxes and and and just taking them away from places where they would normally just be chilling. So I'm like, uh do you do you really think I'm about to send my my my stuff in the mail? Now I'm glad I didn't know anything about um absentee and then Dropbox. I didn't know that was a thing.
SPEAKER_07Right.
SPEAKER_04But even still, I'm glad I I was early voting in person. So I was like, look, I I need to see my shit go through that goddamn scanner.
SPEAKER_09Makes perfect that just shows you how uninformed that his following is because the mail the mail in ballots didn't even go in the blue mailboxes, there was a special box for your mail in ballots, so it's like you steal in mailboxes. First of all, that's a federal offense. You go to jail, buddy. You steal in blue mailboxes. That's not even where the votes are going. Right. Like it's it's like we send we do we talk so stupid. It's like we talk like clearly somebody didn't send Trump and his people the memo. Oh, like it's like, why didn't you just read the mail-in ballot? Mail in ballot says deliver them to this location in the special box mad marked mail-in ballots, which is not the blue poster box.
SPEAKER_03One of my our friends had like a store. She went to go do voting, early voting, or was it the election day? Was it election day I told you that? I can't remember. I think it was okay, it was election day. So it was a city here in where we live. Um, so them, uh well, I don't want to put all of that out there, but um, so they had a sign up that says, masks are you can wear a mask, but it's not required. So can you imagine all the people who didn't have okay it was a last name? Can you imagine all the people who she said she went in there, she had her goggles on and her mask on, but not one person in there that was volunteering had on a mask, goggles, or anything. And then she said they were coughing and sneezing. That's biological warfare.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's another part that wasn't talking about that.
SPEAKER_01At the end of the day, I know people, a lot of American people hate this when you do this, but that's terrorism.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like that's literally terrorism. That's biological warfare.
SPEAKER_01It's not even a biological warfare part of it. It's inciting uh fear towards the masses that you get changed within your political division, and you're not doing it in a peaceful method, you're doing it literally through violence or like in this circumstance, like mentally damaging methods. You're called going around coughing on people, sneezing on people, knowing that there's a pandemic, and you're purposely going to these places without masks or anything to do this. That is terrorism. There's no way around. I know we always try to say, oh, when all the shootings and stuff happens, oh, that's just a guy having a mental break or whatever. Nah, when you start to go to this level, that's terrorism at that point.
SPEAKER_04Right. That's what you enlightened terror in people, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00And Trump called these people patriots. You know, they ran people off the road.
SPEAKER_03Like that's so you you're killing a whole bunch of innocent lives because they're doing their jobs pretty much at that point. You you think they're patriots, like them people with them to jail.
SPEAKER_01But what people are understanding, and then um, I apologize for your podcast, the words are about to come out. A lot of patriotism is can be labeled as terrorism. Yeah, there was a song that came, yeah, I know I saw you saying there was a song that came out years ago by uh an artist named Luffy Fiasco, it was called American Terrorists, and he goes through a bunch of um different events in American history where like the the poisoning of I forgot what state that was, but the poisoning of the water by a church or like um or the Oklahoma City bombing, stuff like that. These are terrorist actions, but a lot of the reasons based behind them, if you like look at the history, well not the church, that was just crazy, but like it's like but some of these people who do this stuff, they're doing it for what can be labeled as patriotic acts.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Full disclosure, before before you keep going on, somebody be like, You you haven't seen terrorism. Okay, he is a vet. I'm gonna say with a branch, what he is.
SPEAKER_09I was gonna say, you never say the branch, but veteran speaking who has experience. So before you say what you're about to say in the comments in the uh blurred spectrum at Umbral Star Kate Mailbag. I was gonna say, many faces.
SPEAKER_01Come on, like, like I said, that's it's a lot of like a lot of those were like even with the shooting of the church, which they'll say, oh you know, he was having mental breaks, stuff like that. In his mind, he thought he was doing this as a as a message for you know American people to stand up type thing. It's like a lot of a lot of racists. Uh KKK, for example, in their mind, they're patriotic.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_01In my mind, they're terrorists.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_08But proud boys saying, it's extremely, it's extremely easy for for patriotism to be brand. Exactly. It's a thin line. Yeah, it's a thing. When every single person gets to make the decision who's an American.
SPEAKER_02It is a thin, thin line.
SPEAKER_01Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying every patriot patriotic act is terrorism. That that that's that's there's a there's a way of going about things where I get a big why I can say that's patriotic, that's patriotic, that's patriotic. There's also a way of going about things where I'm like, nah, that's crazy and terroristic. Or that's crazy and terrorism. That's just great.
SPEAKER_03What would be your example of someone actually being patriotic? Like, would you call it?
SPEAKER_01I'm not before you go into that, because I think I know you're about to say it no, I'm not doing that here. I've already fucked up with show. Thank you. If you're going to go into I think you're going to, yeah, you are okay.
SPEAKER_03Well just we'll just give an example.
SPEAKER_01I would I would say um one good way, like to honestly in doing patriotism is this current election, how everybody just went out and voted. Like you had more votes than you've seen in any in any of the uh presidential elections. Yeah, and I think that you're you're using your rights, you're using your rights and going about it in a peaceful manner, a civilized, yes, classy manner to make change in the country without any without any bloodshed being shed, without anybody getting hurt, without anybody being I mean, well, except for the pumps, getting mentally damaged. Yeah, no, no, fuck that. But uh but uh it's like but it's like uh you're you're going about it in a way, you're using, and even if you don't agree, you can sit there and have a conversation with your person why you have your choice. Even in the case, yeah, I'm not mad if you don't agree with me. I'm mad when you come out of your mouth sideways. Yes, it's like I'm mad when you take actions that can put me on my family in danger. And in my mind, if you put me in danger, you have put my family in danger. So it's just like it's like so it's like you that's that's what I have an issue with. When you're coming at me in a civilized manner, I don't necessarily agree with you, you don't necessarily agree with me, but we have conversations to try and find the middle ground and possibly make change through that. That's patriotic. I even I don't even go this to this part. There's an article out, there was a man who defended a KKK member. I don't know if anybody else. No, no, no, this is no, this is not a black man.
SPEAKER_04I've seen I've seen multiple documentaries where where that has happened.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that that's happened quite a bit, but there was one man in particular. I'm talking of a black gentleman who he went and um I forgot what the rank of the uh like something. I'm not gonna butcher the the the judge because I just don't have the time or care to deal with all that anger that's gonna come with that. But uh but it is uh it was pretty high in the rankings and he befriended. And he went about it in a way where it's like he went to the KKK meetings. Like he literally was sitting in the front row of the KKK meetings to meet up with this gentleman. He had this gentleman come meet him in an undisclosed location. They both brought bodyguards, so they didn't trust the other person. And then they slowly, over the time of a decade, made a friendship where they saw that, yeah, there was differences in the way that they did that they looked at things, but the way they went about their families, the way they went about raising their children, the way they went about interacting with civilization was quite the same. And ultimately, this ended up actually changing the KKK member to leave to leave his position, which was high up. He left his position. And that in my mind is even for the KKK member I have to give some credit to, that was patriotic on him to give that that opportunity, like to to see what it like see what to really test his beliefs. And that and that was even more, and I'm not gonna say more so that was equally patriotic on the black man's side for giving for not not even testing his beliefs, testing their beliefs or so. And just seeing if there was really if if you know if they could really if he was fitting whatever stereotypes they looked, they looked at. Or if he was if maybe him just living was the and also testing his own because he wanted to see if him just living was really that much of a threat to what they do. And um and I think that was uh a patriotic act to a large extent. Going out with these shootings, going out to voting areas and just coughing on people, especially if you know you got it, even if you don't, that's just disrespectful. So it's just like so it's like that, that was uh like that, that's not patriotism. That's just terrorism.
SPEAKER_09I mean just terrorism. You're about to say something, Doctor?
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, I mean, completely agree. And I feel like we have this, as a country, we have this really warped, superficial view of what patriotism is. So, you know, we view it as like, you know, the guns and the flags and shit, you know, what not and like that, that's not what that is. And you know, in my mind, one of the most patriotic things that people can do, which really doesn't get labor as patriotic a lot, is just rich people paying their taxes. That is really one of the most direct ways you can help America. Like you can, you know, it creates schools, it creates hospitals, you know, like that's that's literally helping America, so it's very patriotic. But yeah, a lot of these people who really lean on patriotism as this identity, you know, would be actively opposed to that, you know, in many cases. So yeah, like it's there is really this issue around how we view what a patriot is. And you know, Trump played on that a lot, you know. The publicans at large have played on that for real, but Trump really pushed that image of, you know, the kind of stereotypical, like, what is it, uh Guns God, and I forget what the other one is, but it's like something else starts with G. But uh, yeah, like a lot of gloy. Go a lot of gloy, yes. You know, you push it, no, he really pushed this whole like superficial patriotic image, and it man, it buys a lot of people in. It really does, and that's kind of the scary thing, like, especially when you have people who have made that their entire identity. Yeah, this belief that they are, you know, oh, I'm a patriot, and you know, it's it makes you easy to manipulate. Yeah, you know, because like you have this superficial understanding of the thing you put your entire identity into, and you know, these leaders put prey on that, you know, and like and just like what was mentioned all throughout this podcast, um, you know, with a lot of his supporters, there is this demagoguery, you know, like there's this deep cult-like found for many of them. Like, you know, I don't I don't know too many Democrats who worship Biden in the same way, you know, or worship Obama. You know, like I know politicians, like we can critique them or whatnot, but I mean, man, with some of these Trump supporters, and it's not all of them, but it's a lot of them, like it's like a religion.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It really is, and that's terrifying. Like, you should never have that level of devotion to a politician, no matter how much you agree with them, you know. And between you know, Sanders and Rowan, like they had some of the I might agree with them more than any other pop mainstream politicians, I think, in my lifetime. But you know, I'm not gonna worship them. Like, it's not, it's I mean, it's uh it's very dangerous. Yeah, it is a very dangerous thing, and it blinds you to your own reality of what these politicians are actually doing.
SPEAKER_09Right. Kaze, your question, sir. So I I believe all of our panelists so far have made a lot of um like really good points about the different stages of how the country has been in this kind of chaotic environment, uh, where we were four years ago to where we are now. Um the election process. And I wanted to ask you um I know you you have told us that you voted uh in this election.
SPEAKER_08What would you say is the the feeling that you you received from the time that you voted or the feelings that you observed from the time that you went to the polls and you voted to the time that uh a uh president elect was uh named um we'll see I mean well voting in my specific area um honestly it was a kind of uh unprecedented amount of uh I guess you know uh togetherness like you know everybody you know people you know people seemed kind of you know ex you know happy and excited and you know they had like a sense of you know purpose about them this little little little pep and they step out you know up in the up in the polls um and then and then afterwards it was just uh I mean I don't know I think everyone kind of reacts to the process uh in their own way I me personally I was trying not to pay too much attention to it I just wanted it I just I just wanted the news to come and I wanted to not delve too deeply into into the you know the minute by minute my new show like this this this this isn't the this isn't the type of fight I want to uh um you know become super invested into when I you know when I when I can't I can't affect the uh the yeah the outcome any any anymore that I already have.
SPEAKER_09But uh but no it's it's it's definitely run like the emotional game it like uh you know people like people people get ready for Civil War freaking uh don't don't go up no more but um yeah people get people getting ready for civil war frickin' uh some people like you know think uh you know their side is uh people think you know they side it you know it's in the bag uh you know you got like all these like you know many many things coming up like in state by state like you know like like y'all talking about before like you know but people digging up ballots still in the mailboxes uh freaking you know people trying to barge into the the counting the counting places which you ain't supposed to know where the fuck that is uh right it's it's uh um yeah no actually it's it's it's been it's been it's been all the all the feelings um and and honestly I'll I'll be glad when I can uh stop uh stop feeling anything uh about it I I I kind of want to get this get to some uh some modicum of normalcy and uh and get get all the ridiculous ridiculousness uh behind me okay so open question to everyone uh we now know who is the president and vice president elect of the uh united uh states of america and that is former vice president current president elect joe biden and vice president elect Kamala Harris so I want to ask to everyone how do you feel one about having Joe Biden who is a former vice president uh to uh president Barack Obama now be in the White House again as the president or going to be in the White House again you know come January as the president elect um as well as having Miss Kamala Harris be the new vice president elect in the White House come January and I will start with um she seems very happy so I'll just go ahead and start with Miss Skittles I I feel like I'd be wasting your happiness if I don't start with you. So um so I am relieved I am uh very relieved because the the how how close this election has been is has been like gut-wrenching like literally like I'm one of those people who who was definitely watching every move like oh my god he up oh my god he down oh my god like when Pennsylvania about to call this because I'm ready um so I am relieved that Biden is um president elect um specifically not not necessarily because you know I'm blue or red or whatever um just because one like I said I cannot deal with another four years of the Trump administration um two I think even though you know with Biden's history or or Kamala's history of whatever uh we all we have all done something in our past that we're not proud of um but this is the opportunity to bring change to this very very divided um country and I think that Biden having been vice president under uh Barack Obama for for as long as you know two terms I think hopefully he he will bring you know his own flavor to to the White House as well as things that he picked up from uh Barack Obama who who was an amazing president um while not perfect simply you know the the best president I have been able to see you know in my lifetime so and voted for so um so I mean having voted again I am excited to see what what Biden can do um with his term and I'm hopeful um and as far as uh Kamala goes again I I mentioned this before the podcast but it it's just um as a black woman it is extremely um overwhelming and exciting to know that a a woman is now vice president of the United States and I and I got to see it you know in my lifetime yeah I I feel like when Barack was elected it was like oh my god I you know oh my god there's a black man in the White House like what um so that happening and then such such a short time frame will seem like forever but it's such a short time frame between a black president and now a black vice president that is also a woman I feel like um we did that and that's amazing like I I I would never I mean yes Hillary ran um and was America ready for a woman right after a black president no I don't think so I I honestly I honestly don't think so um even though I was very hopeful she won the popular vote and all of that absolutely not they wasn't ready for that um and and that and that showed so um America's ready for change um and and we have the change is freaking real um and not not only is the VP um a woman she's a black woman and that happened before uh a white female has taken um the Oval Office as VP or president so I'm I'm beyond uh thrilled to to be um to be witnessing that uh in my lifetime and I and all I can say is that I hope that they make good on their stances and their promises and you know for you to be for you to be the first of anything is a lot of pressure um and uh I'm I'm just I'm just here for change so so yeah I'm I'm excited for the future um hopefully hopefully is a good one I think at this point anything better than what we've been experiencing for four years okay kaze your opinion or your feelings I'm sorry what's the general question again no problem uh how do you feel now that we have uh Joe Biden as a president elect and Kamala Harris as the vice president elect how do you feel about them now being um in those positions gotcha gotcha um uh you know I have a uh there's a bunch of feelings in there um uh you know uh mainly like uh I I think the biggest feeling is I feel like you know now that we have the the uh the the Cheeto in chief gone we can you know calm down I'm sorry did you say the Cheeto in Chief?
SPEAKER_08Just making sure I just had to get clear thank you uh you know we we can just kind of you know calm down and we can like not concentrate on the uh Saturday morning cartoon antics uh you're hitting us with all of them in a row just being clear okay continue sorry um the roast I'm trying to be dice um but uh you know it's it's it's it's it's a lot uh you know a lot of blood pressure can go down and we can kind of just get back to the you know the I guess the devil you know you know because I ain't you know because I I'm not I'm not in love with uh the left or the right uh red or blue um but uh uh you know now I think I think I think we have people in charge who are reasonable and we have people in charge who we can hold uh hold to some level of uh uh what's that word? Uh oh yeah there there it is resounding you better know um you know it's is it's interesting like looking back into a lot of the stuff people say about uh uh both the president elect and and vp elect uh like I know I've I've seen a lot of uh like you know certain like uh you know bills and laws that like Biden has voted for and it's kind of like doesn't seem to align with a lot of shit that you say you're for but it's also but it but it's also it's also hard to um you know you you have to like go back and look at because a but you know because a fucking bill will have 53 things in it and and and and Biden and Biden will not like three of those things and uh and the thing he said and the thing that people say he said no to what you know he he he might have been for. So it's you know it's always super hard to um to to uh look at those and get any kind of uh you know feeling for what the person's going for unless you get like an uh actual list of things that people have been for and against over the year and I personally don't have the patience for that but but on but honestly you don't uh without doing that it's super hard to see exactly what a politician is like go is is going to do you know do for you and it's is it's it's such a hard thing to keep up with we we need an app for this shit but but if we did the shit would the shit be biased as fuck. So it's it's it's it's fucking terrible. And then you know and then all the stuff with uh miss Miss Harris uh you know because a a lot of people was talking about like all the all the black men who were uh uh who incarcerated um yeah incarcerated uh under her in her state but then but then I went back and heard that they were like also were was you know they specifically got like the lowest terms yeah like possible in in like 90% of those cases. Yep and it's kind of like okay that's not the you know worse thing in the world.
SPEAKER_09And she also wasn't I mean although she was the DA there were other people who were involved in the process and it's not like she was the one that physically said hey handcuffs you handcuffs you handcuffs you she wasn't snatching niggas off the street party was not but I think it's also important to note that even though they have signed these bills other other black leaders have also signed these bills yeah like it wasn't just them individually like oh I'm about to throw this bill out here and and we're about to do this no it is it's literally a democracy and these things come up so yeah um like you said you know there can be multiple things in a bill some that you agree with some that you don't agree with but we have we have to make laws you know or or you know shit never shit will never get yeah yeah most definitely uh I mean I personally think it's retarded amount of things they stuff into the bills because half of them don't even be related I mean the that's the main reason why a lot of a lot of each side does that they put as much as much relatable things into one single bill so they can have it be pushed forward because if you put 70% of the stuff is all things people want to hear about and that last 30% is just your personal stuff that you want people to say yay to then you'll put it in that bill is like well this has to do with it too so you go ahead and say yay which is why a lot of it is pushed towards us the people in during the election to look at the last part of those bills, those different segments like when they ask about do we want to gain money for libraries from casinos and do we want to borrow you know a couple billion dollars from other states or from the government or we do we want to do those specific things it's also the last portions of things that they can't immediately say yay to because it's in a a larger bill that they already agreed to. So they say okay we'll push it to the people let them decide so and that's why it's important sorry to cut you off guys they were off the the the path but that's why it's also important for people to go to the polls and vote is because those questions are important too because you know the casinos and all the states that have casinos that have gambling are making millions and billions of money of dollars I said money dollars off of each of us. You know there's money that's coming out of her taxes but this is money we're willingly giving for gambling for lotto for kino for all these different things that can easily be going back into our our state into our communities into the places where we dwell but if we don't say that's what we want them to do they'll take that money and do something else with it. What we don't know it could go back into jails prisons it can go into somebody's pocket we don't know unless we tell them the money that goes to gambling either a percentage or all of it needs to go into the libraries into the playgrounds into the schools into government facilities all that stuff if you don't say that they won't do that.
SPEAKER_08So that's why it's also important that people go to the polls and read all of the questions don't just circle don't say oh I've picked my presidential candidate I've picked the vice president bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble see that's why y'all call them scantrons because y'all see I'm going into a pantangent um but uh um yeah you know I'm I'm hoping I'm hoping come January we uh I can I can get into a uh you know a a moat where I'm uh uh cautiously looking forward to uh you know getting some work done and not and only getting some work done but uh um uh undoing the damage that has been very specific very specifically done uh in the last four years like like uh like I need I need them to I need them to get ready student loans because I'm not paying them they've already started on 10 000 did wasn't it 10,000 Dominee?
SPEAKER_03Yeah wait what hold on what oh you didn't see you didn't see the notice as soon as they got oh yeah so hold on I'm gonna read it bro let her read it oh yeah white space go ahead and get it girl hold on one second one very vitally important for all those who have student loans to hear this next silent silent silent say it again please it says included in the COVID 19 response an immediate cancellation of a minimum of 10 000 of federal student loan debt minimum also for giving all undergraduate tuition related federal student debt from two and four year public colleges for debt holders earning up to 1250 that's all of us also applied to individuals holding federal student loans for tuition from private HBCUs and M MSIs gotta be that came that literally came out several not even several a couple of hours after they were elected yeah yep but Kamala has been pushing for the well Democrats have been pushing for them for a while yeah so for anybody who's in Georgia that is listening to our podcast please have the same turnout in January because it is very important that the Democrats hold those two last Senate seats so we can actually get things moving.
SPEAKER_09Pushed and that and that's why I keep saying about going to the elect don't just bubble everything else in because it's not the first part is getting the person in the top seat there. After that the Senate and the house are important as well if we don't have either majority or if we don't have enough of the people who care about what we're talking about all they're going to do is either A stall it or B prevent it from happening that's why people always had a a gripe about uh Bush and Clinton and and Obama is because they always like well when you got in the seat you're supposed to be able to do stuff. No have the appropriate people in the Senate or you don't have the inappropriate people in the House once they put get these bills put together those people are going to slow it down or stop it. And then you complain what is my president doing his job. But if you didn't do yours and you now we have to wait two years for a new Senate person or two years for another House person then we're gonna be held back with all the things that we want. So you have to make sure you do those things too.
SPEAKER_04So I agree thank you Dominique for bringing that up Georgia please do your job in January I was just gonna say you can't just go vote presidential election and be like oh I did my part no no you didn't because the House and the Senate make the laws and we need help so if you out here just you know voting presidential election boom I did my job great wonderful you voted for the president of the United States what about the rest of these fools we I mean like hello Senate local elections yeah because either they go that Senate and uh like the house the house and especially local elections yes local elections that will affect you the most and people and you know people don't even go to local elections they like if if it's on the TV I ain't going I'm like they don't go to local elections at all and I'll be like did you read what this person is up to on their website like they be on the website with the wildest shit like oh I oh uh I don't I don't fuck with LGBTQ and they'd be right there on the website yeah say that yeah it in black red and in in the colors of the rainbow telling you I don't fuck with it it's it's wild how many people don't pay attention to that type of shit like it's this is what when y'all talk when people talk about oh you know the person doing this it's actually a lot of times you're local that that that's got you bent over somewhere and it's just like it's it's really bad that people don't pay attention to it it's like yeah you know your problem is the point that you know like there is a a certain law that screw you over things so you can't work or whatever.
SPEAKER_09And you talk about oh my president did this my president did that no is the is the people right they probably live down the street from your house. Well I'm not saying you to go there I'm just saying your governors your mayors your elected officials your senators those are the individuals who who who make change on the localized level when things are not going wrong when things aren't going right on the localized state level it is your governors your mayors your senators those elected officials that you need to be governors that need you need to be concerned about. Don't just say oh uh uh uh I'm not uh my my my favorite store got closed down uh it must be the president's fault You think he worried about your one store? The one thing on your block? That's what he's worried about. Right.
SPEAKER_03He's not worried about a whole nation. I'm saying a rapper that came out with a song that broke down like everything all of us probably learned in history class that we we have forgotten.
SPEAKER_09First of all, it wasn't history, it was LSN government, completely different.
SPEAKER_03Whatever. All right. Whatever you learned. Um, and he pretty much broke it down for everybody. So that video around election time kept circulating. And I'm like, it's important.
SPEAKER_09But people are just watching and laughing. They're not taking any of that stuff in. And that's the problem. But I'm sorry, Casa, we cut you off and we went off on a whole tangent.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, my bad.
SPEAKER_08But nope, yeah, no, it's all good. It's a discussion. But uh, but what where where are we leave off? Uh oh yeah, and and we're gonna have a we're gonna have a party when uh when when Miss uh Bessie DeVoe fucking uh Carson and we're gonna burn that whole cabinet and build another one. Yeah, because it's been defiled. Uh yeah, yeah. I saw this.
SPEAKER_03It's stayed, it's stake, it staked up the whole joint.
SPEAKER_08It's nasty. I had I I just saw a meme that said uh that uh it said uh uh Michelle Obama called uh Kamala and let her know where she hid the spices.
SPEAKER_03Oh um I would definitely say these memes have gotten me through this whole week, though.
SPEAKER_08I would take a class on memes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, memes and tick tocks have gotten me through this whole lecture.
SPEAKER_09I mean, that's how people have been getting their own way, like they've been creating these these videos and these these memes just to because they're they know the the best way to get through all of this press and stress has been laughter. So they're like low, let's create this stuff, send it out to get people laughing because they ain't gonna make it. Them remixes, all of them remixes.
SPEAKER_08Paula, Paula had a remix before I before I even saw that saw the original one. Yep, me too.
SPEAKER_09It was he had three remixes before I saw the original one.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_09So fucking funny. But um, oh I'm sorry. Was that the end of your point, Kazi?
SPEAKER_08Uh well, I think, hold on. Um, see y'all can't interrupt me. Yeah, I know, I know. I'm sorry. Uh but yeah, we'll see. Hold on, yeah. They be fucking up. We clearing out the cabinet. Uh oh, we need to get back into the world uh health health organization because Trump because Trump put in the damn uh thing to get us removed from it during a goddamn pandemic. Right.
SPEAKER_03What the fuck?
SPEAKER_08Like these niggas put it at work, like they they they they went to like every house in India. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh well which one?
SPEAKER_08You talk about um it was one that they almost single-handedly wiped out. Uh polio or it might it might have been polio, but yeah, like they they like they like house checked like every house in India. And like these niggas are like only make like a few hundred hundred million dollars a year. And they and they did this shit like in record time. And it it is uh I hate I hate I hate this nigga so much.
SPEAKER_09But anyway, I'm telling you, he probably came in year one and was like pandemic. We don't have a pandemic, take that out of there. Couple trillion dollars for a pandemic. What's a pandemic?
SPEAKER_08Yeah, like I know it's so bad because it's not it's not it's not it wasn't the racism or or the uh or or the self-centeredness that got me. It was the incompetence. Like like you could have you could have came in and put your name and rebranded and put your name on everything and actually took credit for it, but you gonna take down all this shit that's hit that's here for a little reason, and then you know, and then that's because his dumb ass ain't understand it.
SPEAKER_03That's right, that's why you're dumb. That's right, can't read a damn piece of paper. He's so dumb.
SPEAKER_09And the most thing about a dumb person, and the notes he was writing them were both upside down. But I'm sorry, guys.
SPEAKER_08Oh my lord, like like if you if you dumb, let all the smart people around you do their job. No, no, no, you can't because he fired all the people around him.
SPEAKER_09He fired all the smart people and brought in the dumb people that just say yes, including his damn children that don't know shit.
SPEAKER_03All that money on all them boarding schools, and you still don't know not a goddamn thing.
SPEAKER_08Not a damn, not a motherfucker thing. Like that's the like that's why all the skills you the schools you built were frauds, because you how how how a dummy gonna teach some people how you can lead an educational foundation. Like, I don't you can't do it. And but no, I think the thing I'm most excited about is is that you know, a lot of a lot of people have uh a lot of people are gonna lose their uh uh they're gonna lose like their figurehead that they've that they've attached a lot of their uh ideas to. Like like I'm I remember I remember when uh uh I was watching one of the uh you know the voting breakdowns on one of those stress for last nights. And the girl and the girl was talking about she was going around all the red states and and none of them niggas had masks on. And and a lot of people were voting for Trump is because he was it's because he was pro getting the economy back and and and and and pro not you know not mandating masks. And it's like and and I think, you know, and I think I think a big I think a big big issue is that people people think the the the freedom in America means freedom from consequences. And I'm like that boo-boo, that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. How did you get to adulthood? It's it's so confusing. But you know, but all the uh uh I'm I'm I'm trying I'm trying to be not inflammatory, but uh but a lot of the a lot of folks in the middle of the country and a lot of the a lot of the uh Republicans, a lot of the the racists, a lot of the anti-science people, uh a lot of them are gonna lose. Like, you know, have having the leader, leader of the free world, uh do all that or do all that shit emboldened a lot of people. And and l and literally literally that the him not being there is gonna make uh a lot a lot of things better. It's gonna I mean honestly I wasn't into politics before Trump. So uh and and a lot of people weren't. So I I mean so I I'd say he's done some good. Like I I'd say we're in a better place to hold these these new people accountable. Uh, cause I think before we just would have kind of let them do what they would do what they was gonna do, because you know, we you know we we we we wasn't as far as we was concerned, as long as we wasn't fired or going to war or or in a pandemic, we wouldn't have pay too much attention to what they were doing. But uh but now that we've had this uh political scare, I think we're on uh uh I think we're on a better place to uh uh yeah, but get this get this system working, you know, for us than not on us.
SPEAKER_09Okay. Uh the doctor, your post uh presidential and vice president elect reaction.
SPEAKER_00So, you know, it would be just be nice for real. Um it's gonna be nice to just have a functional adult in the White House.
SPEAKER_05Yes, guys.
SPEAKER_04That part.
SPEAKER_00Because, you know, when just looking back at this whole era of the past four years, it really does feel like an era that's completely different in a lot of ways from anything before it, you know, and hopefully from anything after it. But it's just there were so many things that I would have, so many issues I would have never thought could occur with a president, you know. Like so many things that, I mean, even you know, when I was certainly not a Bush fan, but like some of the things that Trump has done, I just it's inconscient. Like, there's no way would have thought, okay, a president can't like say things he's inflammatory, or a president can't, you know, like suddenly accept a KKK endorsement. Like, that's not something that could happen, you know, but here we are. And I mean, it'll just be, I'm just really looking forward to, you know, kind of you know, Wakanda said with the devil you know versus the devil you don't. I I'm somewhat looking forward to that. Just the idea that, okay, now that we have, you know, an actual president who, yeah, you know, don't agree with him on him on everything, but you know, he's someone who is a little more movable in certain ways, certainly than Trump was. Like, at least someone who's not actively antagonizing us, or you know, us being minorities, us being immigrants, like us being basically anyone really who's not, you know.
SPEAKER_08LGBT.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, LGBT, LGBT. Exactly, yeah. So, you know, it would just to not be actively antagonized, like we can start really moving in the right direction again. Um, and one thing that did excite me about this is more and more we're seeing really the power of voices of color, you know, when it comes to the voting process, even in the face of all this rampant voter suppression, like the fact that we were able to still, you know, kind of come together and really push forward. And you know, I don't know, um, I'm gonna be seeing these graphs of what um the election would look like if I saw that. Like groups like if only women voted, or you know, if only like the elderly voted or something like that. And like for people of color, like it was completely blue.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, oh, the reason why we didn't do like women of color or men of color or all that is no matter how we did it, it was still blue.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like that's I think that's a really powerful thing. And I think more and more we're having our voices be heard. Um, but yeah, like I'm just I'm just looking forward back.
SPEAKER_08He thanked us specifically. Sorry to cut you off. But but but Biden literally came on. Yeah, like I would like to especially thank black people, and I was like, what? Yeah, like that in real life, yeah. He knows who did it. They got statistics.
SPEAKER_04Georgia and Pennsylvania pulled through the they pulled through.
SPEAKER_00And I never thought Georgia was gonna flip.
SPEAKER_09I was convinced that we lost Georgia at the beginning. I was like, uh I was I was gonna I was gonna tell a couple of our panelists, you know, go go talk to your state, go tell them to sit in the corner. But I held back because I felt like something's in the atmosphere.
SPEAKER_03I thought Pennsylvania for a minute was gonna stay red. And I was like, y'all voting for him again after he lied to y'all about opening the mouse. I want to explain.
SPEAKER_01It's funny, I'm shocked that they flipped, but I'm not surprised, as is the way it said, for the sheer fact, you think about these are two industrial states.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's like it's like they were fucked the most. They were some of the countries and states that were fucked the most out of like the whole nation, especially Pennsylvania. Especially Georgia. Yeah, yeah, especially Georgia, too. With all the lies that were spread, I want to say more so this makes it with all the lies that were spread towards them, and you know how their economic state is now, and then Georgia the same way, and then for the way he carried himself, the lies that were spread to them, but then the way he carried himself through this pandemic, they were hit hard. So they were like, nah, bro, like that's what I was about to say.
SPEAKER_09Like it's almost like him and the um not the governor of Georgia, almost like best friends the way that everything that Trump said, he was like listening to him verbally. That's the only reason why I said and Georgia is because Georgia was wide open. I hate to say it that way, but wide open during the start of this pandemic. They weren't even thinking, he wasn't even like he had the audacity to come on T national TV, but like, what pandemic? I didn't even know it was that bad. I didn't even know something was happening.
SPEAKER_03Like, what just like the governor of Florida though, because he was holding on to Trump's everywhere, like he was opening movie theaters. I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_09But but the but the but the governor of Florida at least acknowledged the fact that he knew there was a pandemic, but felt it wasn't going to affect Florida. Georgia's governor specifically said, I didn't even know this was going on. Like he played a completely oblivious role. And I'm like, bro, it's May. What do you mean? Like, if and and that's how I feel like Georgia was like, yo, we gotta, we gotta do something. Be in a situation where we're dealing with somebody who don't even know what's going on. Like, it's one thing to be like, oh, I know, I'm just not listening. He straight up said, I don't know what's going on. But I'm sorry, go ahead, Doctor.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I mean, and I remember when I think it was like in May, June, and July, they were calling it already, they're calling the pandemic already defeated in some of those places.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_00And I remember Fox News was saying how, oh, look at you know how these governors in Georgia and Texas and Florida handled it, and they didn't have a pandemic issue, and oh, they're just a shining beacon. They didn't have to lock down like New York did and whatnot, and they never got affected. And then sure enough, like not even a few weeks later, the cases slowly start to rise and then they spike, and you know, now they are where they are. But yeah, like it's I was that should you know with the governor Kent, I couldn't believe either. Like, when he made that comment, I'm like, oh well, you know, I don't know if it's really a pandemic here.
SPEAKER_09Like I I heard people talking about it, but I'm like, what are you what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_00And this is why, like, this is the other thing. I'm glad you brought this up. Like, I wanted to get out of, like, I feel like the last four years it's just been constant gaslighting over about so many things. Like, oh, the pandemic's not that bad. Oh, the economy's doing great. Like, I created all these jobs, the economy's doing great. Like, you know, that's another thing that came out that he had said, how, oh, well, he did so well with the economy, even in the middle of the pandemic.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We say, oh, well, the economy's like doing great. I've got all these jobs, like it's just this gross, just really direct lies.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You know, it's I mean, I guess it's just, you know, to try and keep people in a state of denial, but I mean, it's it's absurd. Like, it's so absurd, and it is coming from an actual president.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, I I just that's you know, I'm just looking forward to going back to normalcy. Like, it's, you know, not even to where, like, oh, I'm looking forward to all these huge, you know, progressive changes. Like, I I'll be fine with incremental gains going forward. And just that's where I am. Like, it's just, you know, this was a dark time for us. This really was. You know, I'm thinking when we look back, you know, in the history books, like, this is gonna be something where like it's gonna be in every history book as this was not extra.
SPEAKER_09The sad part of what you just said is it's probably not. I'm almost certain that the history books are gonna say this is when America was made great, because we don't write the history books.
SPEAKER_03Oh, but right. How about we just expunge it and make Biden 45 and 46? Oh, no, don't do that.
SPEAKER_09Don't don't give him that smoke. He didn't do all that stuff.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I don't I don't know about history books, but it's gonna be some good ass documentaries. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And and and and and and given who was just our president, people pay more attention to that than history books nowadays, anyway.
SPEAKER_00Right. I would say the documentaries really are the history books a lot. Yeah, yeah. So yeah, and they they're not gonna look kindly on Trump. Like, and it's something where I know, you know, it's a Pope like right now. Many of his parks are like, oh well, you know, he was this great person, or like he, you know, was this wonderful leader, but no, like history will not vindicate him. It will not, it won't be close.
SPEAKER_09Just anticipate a lot of Trump lawsuits because people are gonna tell the truth and he's gonna deny all of it and say, you can't talk about me like that. Defamation. That's not who I am. But um, yes. Uh yeah, uh, I guess I'll give mine before we go to Shampoo bracelets. Yeah, I uh I uh yeah, um I feel really good. It's it's it's been a it's been a very interesting week um having to watch all of this stuff happen, and it's been very difficult to observe people kind of waiting on baited breath. It's like at every moment I was at work, I was, you know, uh with friends, I was, you know, just observing people in different environments, just glued to their phones, glued to the TV, like it's not moving. Why is it moving? We we were at what 214 to 264 for like two or three days straight. And people are like, where what's about to happen? Is it is it about to is it about the shift? Is it you know, things changing from red to blue? At one point I thought it was purple. People are just so confused as to what exactly was going on, and you know, observing that it's boggled. I it's it's kind of mind-boggling because it's like you you're also not sure what exactly people want because we're in we we are in an environment and we were in the environment. I mean, it's not like it's really changed, that people are afraid. Well, some people are afraid to say who they're supporting, and other people are emboldened to say who they're supporting, and they'll either get chastised or they get celebrated. Um, there's several people who, you know, put out their, you know, changed their icon to, you know, I voted for Trump icons, and their friends, family, and uh acquaintances were all like, what are you talking about? You want four more years of what's been going on, and it's it's but then there's the other side, you know, people said they voted, but not everybody said they voted for Biden. Not everybody said they voted for Kanye, not everybody said they voted independent. So, you know, everybody who didn't vote for Trump wasn't emboldened to do so. They kind of kept it, you know, like votes are supposed to be, secretive, or rather, uh, to themselves, a civic, you know, to themselves. And it's just I I think people want kind of going back, I believe, to what the doctor said before, people want to be in an a i in a in a situation where they have somebody who they can believe in, or they have somebody who they can follow behind, and they have somebody who can say, Well, this is my president or this is my person or this is my guy. And you know, that that's why people are so committed to certain sports and so committed to certain figures or or or icons, because it's like, you know, I I'll always love this person. Uh, this is the person who, you know, I mean, I used to have, I mean, I said I was talking to the doctor and Kaze about that uh just last week. We both, all three of us rather, had someone when we were younger who we were like, this person is not an icon, but there's somebody who we could model ourselves in some way, shape, or form after. And of course, when we became adults, that person disappointed us greatly. I'm not gonna say who that person is. Kaze, don't you say it either? The doctor, keep yourself muted. I'm gonna say it. Leave it alone. And you said it.
SPEAKER_02It was a betrayal of the saying.
SPEAKER_03Biggest letdown I have ever seen in my life. You are a medical doctor. What the fuck do you know about house?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. But he knows about remodeling though.
SPEAKER_03He needs to remodel his little wardrobe looking like a damn tool.
SPEAKER_01His home too.
SPEAKER_09It doesn't make any sense that entire situation.
SPEAKER_01But money bad Carson.
SPEAKER_09You know, hopefully at this point we can we can, you know, slowly progress to things changing. Um, I think I said it many times this last couple of weeks. You know, in reality, we were either gonna have four more years of of Trump or we were gonna have three more months of a very end. Angry, um, vindictive trump.
SPEAKER_03So toddler.
SPEAKER_09Because you know, when somebody knows, like for example, when you know a toddler is about to run out of playtime, they will rush and do everything they wanted to do in the last five minutes once you tell them they got five minutes. I mean, that's if they understand the concept of time, but I feel like we should be prepared for all the things that he may potentially try and do within the next two to three months.
SPEAKER_03That's what I'm saying. He probably they probably need to remove him sooner rather than later.
SPEAKER_09Not gonna happen. He he's he did you see the conceded yet?
SPEAKER_03I don't think he even conceded. He's he feels like he's not gonna concede because he doesn't want to concede to someone who he thinks less of.
SPEAKER_09He's already suing and having them recount. He's not conceding.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_03Well, yes, I know. But those are getting thrown out. The only one who's recounting is Georgia, and that's only because of how close it was. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_09And that's why he's suing the other states for not recounting.
SPEAKER_03But they've already thrown it out, though.
SPEAKER_09You think Trump's gonna stop at one?
SPEAKER_03I mean, he's not, but let's let's be real. Trump is being a toddler about this um because he's trying to avoid jail time. Like, let's be real.
SPEAKER_09Good job. Good job. I saw you struggle with that word. That was gross. Thank you.
SPEAKER_03New York is sitting over with the gun low, they're talking about come January, bruh. You coming.
SPEAKER_09Like I'm I think the like, and the reason why I say the next two or three months, because I agree with you, most of those things are going to be thrown out. But that's just the legal aspect of it. Keep in mind, he has his good old boys and all his other supporters who this these last two weeks before the election or during the election, like I was on the way to work. Luckily, I took a different road. I found out uh a row of them in pickup trucks were holding down 495 at 40 miles an hour with their vote for Trump signs in the back of their pickup trucks.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, so I don't even understand why you would do that in Russia. Maryland, Maryland has never, at least in my lifetime, been raised. So it's kind of like wasting your breath. You are in DC where he was. I mean, it was 30% of the vote. He got 13%.
SPEAKER_0913% DC was a big one that was doing that too. But it's I I don't know why they feel like here they want to do all that stuff, but it's it's we have to be prepared, in my opinion, for all of that stuff that's about to happen. And I don't want to call it, it's not backlash, because normally backlash is when somebody's been um what's the word? Um done wrongly and they're trying to retaliate. Um, I feel like this time he's it's it's a temper tantrum that I feel like is gonna come and it's gonna reverberate through all of his followers. So I would just say prepare for that, be prepared for that. But for me, I feel really great knowing that right now, as Ms. Skittle said, as the doctor said, as Sanford Gracia said, as Kazi said, we have the opportunity for change. Even if you did not um even if you're not 100% Biden and uh uh Miss Kamala Harris, at least we are not in the same nexus that we've been in for the past four years. We now have the opportunity to do something different, to change something, to put things that were working back in working order, to set up things that are going to benefit not just one person, not just the highest percentile, but everyone. And, you know, the only thing we can do at this point, I feel like, as the population, is now educate the rest of the population. Because I think that's one of the biggest issues. A lot of people are just feeling like, oh, he said he's gonna raise taxes. But he's not doing it for everyone, he's raising it for the people in the highest percentile, which you are not a part of. But people don't understand those types of things. So I think it's a responsibility for people who understand, who can educate and explain it to those who don't. And not in a yelling sort of way, not in a you dumb sort of way, but in a hey, this is what it really says. Let's put it in layman's terms. A B C D. Yeah. Anyway, um shampoo bracelets, your final thoughts.
SPEAKER_03Um, I know the first night when the election night, I refused to look at the map because of what happened the four years previous when I went to bed and I saw that he was up. But I also agree with Miss Skills. I knew Hillary wasn't gonna win because after we had pretty much eight years of a black man in office, I knew they weren't ready to put a woman in office. So it was like I knew the writing on the wall, but at the same time, I was hoping that we didn't have to deal. Um, but I'm happy that Biden and Kamala Harris won this election. It was just like, okay, we have got to get the hate out. Like, I think that's been my biggest thing of just so much hate that we've seen this last four years. I'm not saying that the you know the police brutality is gonna get any better. I mean, I hope it does, but um, you know, I'm my whole thing when he won the first four years was not him being in office, is the people that we have to interact with every day. Because him being in office, yes, it can potentially affect us depending on what he does law-wise, but the people out on the street that are his followers, that are his cult following, those are the people you have to be worried about and concerned with.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Right. I mean, might as well be labeled as radicals at this point.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, you said it, excuse me, you said it, Kaze and the doctor said it, those individuals are have been emboldened by Trump and the things that he was saying. So they they got to the point where they felt like they could practically do anything, and they have been doing, I don't say whatever they feel like, but they've been doing things that are, as Shan Flu Bracels was saying, unpatriotic in nature. Uh, but go ahead. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, you're fine. Um, I agree with you that he's gonna keep pushing these legal battles. Um, but a lot of his the seasoned Republicans have separated from him because right now, what you're trying to say is that a system the same system that helped you win four years ago is broken now because you lost.
SPEAKER_07Yep.
SPEAKER_03Right. So you're messing with the structure of democracy. Republicans at the end of the day are not going to tolerate. Right. It's like you need to know the party that you're supposedly supporting and standing by before you make all these claims. You you just look like a crazy person right now. Um, I'm hoping Biden, I'm definitely hoping for that student loan uh change to happen out of everything. Um, but I'm hoping they uh they both bring about change and that we see the shift in the world. We can now stop having other countries laugh at us because they've been laughing for the last four years. We can get back on the climate control, and it's just like I think when I saw Alaska slip red, I was like, Y'all sitting over there melting, but yet y'all voting for the person that don't want to help y'all. Right. Like, so you just go melting.
SPEAKER_06Let them do it.
SPEAKER_03Um, so yeah, I think that's how I felt. Um, I definitely think it's a learning point for since we have a daughter, that she can see, you know, a black female in a position of power, the higher one in one of the highest offices in the country. Um, so yeah, I think that's that's pretty much how I felt about it. I'm glad that Cheeto was gone.
SPEAKER_01Tambou. Um yeah, man, like it's over. But um, in all honesty, like I said, I I'm waiting to see uh a lot of hate dispersed, but the sad truth about it, which I don't think we've been talking about enough, really, is that before that that before that hate dispersed, it has to get dispersed, right? In a way, if you're gonna see it. You'll in the next couple of weeks, especially, you probably will see it, right? If you talk to that whole the people lined up on 495, I saw that not too far from where we're at right now in front of a fucking uh harbor freight, which that's funny as you can. But uh but uh yeah, it's like they filled up the parking lot, they were beeping their horns, all the traffic, and it's like why? Like first and foremost, it'll probably be here because we're kind of holding everybody for getting to the post. Yeah, you said boats. Like what do you want me to do? It's like, how's that working out? But um, but no, and uh it's uh it's something I do look forward to seeing how this whole next three months goes. Because this next three months, I think everything in 20, I think 2021 will be 20 months, but these next three months are gonna be fun to watch. And for so many reasons, they're gonna be entertaining, but they're also gonna be scary. Um in my mind.
SPEAKER_03Well, I yeah, like I told you, he's already talking about firing people.
SPEAKER_01So I'm just like Nah, it's not just that, because it's like I've even started to hear like church, like I was uh at one lady's house, and her church sent her an email saying, tell every you know young black person you come across to be be cautious, be fair, because we just about to pop off. So it's like it's it's just and that was right before they really allowed to buy the point. Yeah, it was still counting like Arizona, Philly, uh Georgia, actually Nevada. Yeah, that's what I said. This was this was just gonna be crazy. Like they're gonna start the like you thought they did dub stuff before, like, get ready.
SPEAKER_03Like I know we're gonna anticipate these next three months, but it's also you gotta anticipate what will happen on uh inauguration day. Yeah because that that's gonna be the height of everything when he's gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01Like I say, this this couple, the two is gonna be two separate periods. It's not gonna be the whole three months. The whole three months are gonna be entertaining, but the next couple weeks is gonna probably be the most valid.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Maybe a month. And then you're not gonna see anything else. They're just gonna calm down around Christmas, um, and then you're not gonna really see anything again until annihilation.
SPEAKER_09Oh, you're trying to be Bernie Sanders out here?
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_09You're trying to be Bernie Sanders out here, prophesying, predicting things. I'm probably that's what she's like.
SPEAKER_07But yeah, he does that all the time.
SPEAKER_01No, but it's but it's it's like it's just look at you how human how human nature works. Just look at how the last year, if we not even the last four years, we'll just look at the last year.
SPEAKER_07Yep.
SPEAKER_01It's and I even say midway through this last term is when you started really seeing the change. Well, you saw the change in the beginning of the term, had a little bit of a calm down, and then year two, three, and this year hasn't been as bad as your two and three were, and that's because of the pandemic. But year two and three were horrible. And then this pandemic came around, everybody slowed down. But now that they're realizing that they're losing what they like to call their power, then you know that that that patriotism we talked about earlier is about to start showing up again. And it's like, and and it's gonna you're gonna see it twice, you're gonna see it once around this time here, and you're gonna see it again around inauguration. And you're probably gonna see it then before another month is back.
SPEAKER_09No, go ahead. Sorry.
SPEAKER_02Oh, go ahead, no, go ahead.
SPEAKER_09You said I'm just gonna say I I think I hope they have high level because just thinking about that, I hope they have high levels of security at the inauguration because oh, yeah, they'll have high levels.
SPEAKER_02I think they'll have high level security, at least I hope they will, especially. I hope they're not that stupid.
SPEAKER_09It that's like very naive of them and very ignorant of them to not anticipate something of a high caliber taking place. Like you can't assume.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, uh, I was saying you're also gonna think because of the pandemic, will you even have an inauguration for what we have seen it look like? Because they could just do it in a uh this undisclosed location, you know, inside a building or whatever, like something small. So yeah, like so. We don't really know how it's gonna go because you're not gonna have a whole bunch of people out there on the yard like you have had because of the pandemic.
SPEAKER_07I didn't even think about it.
SPEAKER_03So, you know, it could it could go both ways, but I I I agree. I think everybody needs to be careful and be on high alert. Um, you know, it's sad when you have to start having conversations, although we keep getting into this conversation of all right, is it time to buy a weapon now? Because things are intensifying rather than settling.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. I mean, people have been talking about a civil war. Well, let me not say people, a specific group of people have been talking about a civil war for decades. And they and it's a uh literally a them versus everyone else civil war. And I've heard from several of them, as well as you know, acquaintances of their that their families and their you know, grandparents and their you know, uncles have been literally stocking up and training in the woods and you know getting ready for what is about to occur. And if you look at the way that this all happened, it's very possible that they think this might be the trigger.
SPEAKER_01This might be this might be this might be that war. And that that's why I was really going to it wasn't so much of what's going to go on around the inauguration with the with the president and vice president. It's more so what's gonna happen to the to the to the areas in these blue states or to the back point or to the to the areas that are perceived to have voted for Biden and Paris.
SPEAKER_09It might start in Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Like it might be those areas that like, oh, so you're just gonna switch, and they're gonna like, oh, we're gonna switch on you. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01Pretty much. And that's the way it's going. What from my understanding, it was saying, I'm not the biggest fan of either party, but I'm definitely not a fan of the one that was leading the Republican party that was already put up in the place. So it was now a thing of getting, it was literally like last election, the choosing of two evils, but we know one evil. We don't know the other one. We damn sure know one. So it was a thing of just making sure that evil was out to give way to see if you know Biden and Harris can make up for maybe what could be seen as past mistakes and ignorance. Um to that, and to that, it brings me to another point. Um there was one thing I left out when I talked of uh patriotism, and that was the fact that, and this is the reason why I bring this up, is because of what's possibly going to happen, uh, talking of that war, the civil war thing. And that is this people need to understand that you can't you can't say, Oh, I'm being patriotic and immediately resort to violence. But if you resort to violence with violence, that is patriotism. Because at the end of the day, that's protecting your own. Yep, you're doing because it's now a fight. This is this is a final strike. I have nothing else that will fix this because you can't reason people that don't want to be reasonable. You cannot. And in those circumstances where they don't want to be reasonable, there's no longer now their act of terrorism is being resolved with a counteract, which is the patriotism. So um it's kind of the idea of try Jesus, just don't try me type thing, going back to that. But it's like it is it's it's something that's really a lot of neighborhoods and areas. I'm not gonna say specific races, but I think they know who we're talking about. We all know who I'm talking about this aspect. Their patriotism is going to get tested.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because they're about to see some acts of terrorism that is and that they didn't, and from areas they didn't think they would see it from. It was really gonna shock them. It's like like the situation you just talked of. That is to a large extent an act of terrorism. Now, my you it's too late because we already have what we wanted in action, but in the end of the day, that is still an act of terrorism rolling up. That is that is not just it's not just gang violence anymore, everybody is like it's little acts of terrorism.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So um, and the sad truth is the stuff that's gonna be brought up in the coming years, it's gonna happen in majority in majority black areas, they're gonna try to blame it on everything but any political uh areas or any like what could should be seen as protection normally. Um they're gonna they're gonna use whatever excuses they can in the book, and then it's gonna be a lot of unsolved mysteries in the coming weeks, months, and it's a scary thing to think of. But um, but I think ultimately, in the end of the day, it'll all, I think it will all disperse. Once it's all dispersed, then we were in for some hopefully peaceful years to come after this. And but it's just now a thing of you know, trying to just make sure everybody makes sure you're safe out there, uh, and be hopeful of what's to come. And the other day, we still have that now. We have that hopefulness to be to have, because we didn't have that for a while. It was kind of like you kind of knew what you were getting, and you were just seeing it over and over and over again. Now we can actually be hopeful for this change. And though we know it's not gonna be perfect, we can at least or definitely not have an instant, but we can at least hope that for whatever sacrifices made, there's way more improvement and change, you know, for the better than for the worse.
