Welcome all within the sound of my voice to the Blurred Spectrum podcast. We have come upon another tournament. Not the tournament of the immortals, not the tournament to end all tournaments, not the tournament of champions, but the tournaments of your action fight scene. Fight scenes? Yes, fight scene tournaments. We are excited to bring to you 32 of what we feel are some of the best fight scenes from cartoons, anime, live action TV, and movies. Our panelists have searched as well as name-dropped several titles that they feel should be on this list. Now we may do this again because there was a couple of discrepancies, and there's also a couple of honorable mentions that people feel should be in the running as well. But we have changed it from last time. I will not be yelled at for the randomizer. The randomizer was not used at all during the selection process of this bracket. All of this was done. All of this was done with skill, a discernful eye, and common sense, pretty much. Oh, so you didn't put it together. So we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna pan through this. We're gonna see how each and every one of our panelists feels about these individual titles. Uh, but first we have to introduce them. Starting with myself, your moderator for this tournament of fighting scenes, Suchi no shogun. We also have Lady Legacys. We have Ms. Skittles. Hello, we have One Who Flows with the Wind, Kaze Shinryu. No, that's it. Oh we have Dr. Black McCoy.
SPEAKER_08You know, when you started doing this, I really thought you were about to like go to a commercial break or something. I was like, first of all, when did we when did that happen?
SPEAKER_00Secondly, I wish commercial breaks mean sponsors, sponsors means money. Money means merchandise.
SPEAKER_08So okay, we're trying to make a blurry spectrum where the money resides, all right?
SPEAKER_00I'm safe. Um next, the uh duo with the bracelets, shampoo bracelets.
SPEAKER_10No, no, no, we got on your button. It's good.
SPEAKER_00Oh, we have Lady She go Ms. Gittles. You already said no, I know I did it on purpose. Your hair because your hair is green and black today. I was at the throw back to you. Okay, now uh one of your favorite flying Pokemon and Say Dine, Talonflame and Sayone cosplay. So, as you can see, we are all prepared, we're all very serious about this tournament, and we're ready to not attack each other with vulgar words as we proceed through each and every one of these shows on either side of this bracket. So, we're gonna start from each uh category to another, and the first category we're gonna start with is movies. So, what are the best fighting scenes within these movies? I'm gonna go from bracket to bracket, from show to show, starting with If Man, If Man versus the 10 Black Belts, that is our first fighting scene of this tournament versus Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Yu Shay Lin versus Gen, the Green Destiny. Now, for all of you who have seen these scenes and seen this fight, I know certain people have a have uh a tightness in their chest, certain people have looks on their faces like they they they know exactly which one's gonna win. So, we're gonna allow our panelists to discuss first how do you feel about these two fighting scenes?
SPEAKER_06Who the hands? Yeah, like I'm over here, man. Every single time she's gonna have one dude that took the sacrifice of the booty hands. The other folks got beat up like he was on JoJo's.
SPEAKER_00Oh no. Oh bad. Well, Miss Kittles, how do you feel?
SPEAKER_11So I'm I'm crouching tiger all day. Um, just the choreography, just the choreography of it all. Just it's just it was like graceful, like graceful ass beatings. Like just like just flow, just flow with it, like you know, ass beat, like smooth.
SPEAKER_06It's it's one. I like it. He'll get his ass whooped.
SPEAKER_10I mean, nigga.
SPEAKER_11You know, I mean, uh the man throw infinite punches, yes.
SPEAKER_06He got beat up to a booting soundtrack. Oh no.
SPEAKER_11Uh uh, yeah, I I said my piece.
SPEAKER_00Okay, we so we have two scenes, one where our fighters are using their hands as weapons, and one where Yushin then is literally going through every uh uh weapon in her arsenal while fighting the Green Destiny. Uh, the black McCoy. Which one do you pick?
SPEAKER_08Uh this is a this is a difficult one, John. Um I gotta say, this this one this was cut in really close. You know, both combatants have done amazing things. I can say for absolute sure that It Man uh does some of his most intense fighting when he is pissed off. And that karate thing, oh, that karate thing was some peak It Man rage. And when he almost killed a couple people, if he didn't kill at least one already. Yeah, that's a mention.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_08But I I also agree with Ms. Skittles, like that the fight scene from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is one of the most beautifully choreographed scenes I've ever seen. However, the only thing that is going to sway this for me is the is the raw usage of pure fight choreography, sans, you know, practicum special effects, and it's gonna go to Ipmen.
SPEAKER_00All right, two Ipmen, one crouching tiger. Let's move on to Kaze Shinu Shinryu, as your name means the wind dragon, and each of these fighters were moving like the wind. Which one of them do you select for your favorite fighting scene of this book?
SPEAKER_08Were you about to say the word strip? Because I heard SPR. Slightly, ever so slightly.
SPEAKER_05People don't need to know how I'm getting through COVID, they know their business. But uh but yeah, it was uh it was it's pretty close for me. I think uh I think the I think the context uh of of the fights kind of bring it home for me. Whereas uh I can throw that it-man scene against a bunch of other It-Man scenes, and I've you know, and it'd be and it really just be like a toss-up. Um whereas that might be my favorite fight out of uh Crouching Tiger, and like and not only the choreography, but like I didn't I didn't believe in like why it worked at all until I saw this movie. And and like and they really like elevated it like to an art form. And and not to mention, like that might have been like aside from like Xena, that might have been the first time like I saw like actual like bad bitches in a movie. Cause even because even like the old school like martial arts movies, it wasn't a bunch of what you had to like you had to comb through some shit fine a chick with a fan or a chick on top of both. Yeah, and I think and I think the nail in the coffin for me is the it man scene suffers from uh um I'm uh uh uh like you're so you're you're surrounded, but um, but I'm uh I'm I'm only gonna gauge one or two at a time and I'm gonna let you do fucking hyper hyper combo finishers on on one nigga while the rest of these niggas watch. Like it actually, like I'm I'm more forgiving for other other series, but it's specifically because it's it man, and you're supposed to show me like how good this nigga is, and you have the choreography and the skill like on set to to pull this fight off and convince me he's actually fighting 10 people, he wasn't fighting 10 people, so so so it is as as cool as it was, it it was that's a critical failure. So I'm gonna go with uh Crouch and Tiger.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, two and two. All right, uh Lady Legacys. One of the reasons why you've given been given your name is due to the prowess of martial artists using their legs, and also because you're very tall. So we want to ask you which of these two fighting scenes do you feel should move on to the next round?
SPEAKER_09So first and foremost. You feel me? The swiftness of a car. Literally, like that that he is the epitome of run up, get done up, literally. So but I also have to say that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is one of my favorite movies. One of my favorites from the artistry, from the just even the ladies that are actually performing a job. I love them in other movies and stuff like that. I've seen them in other martial arts, but it's just lovely. And then the fact that she used her body in with the actual weapon, just it's like an extension. She made sure to make it look like the weapon wasn't just overpowering her, but it was an extension of herself. You feel me? The the the cinematography, the choreography, the the I didn't know another word, but it just um yeah, that's one of my, yeah, it's one of that's my jam, if you will. So I I'll have to, even though the swiftness of the hands, you you especially when he bent his leg backwards that one time, he was like, Come here. It was just, yeah, it was that. But I'm gonna have to go with Crouch and Tiger because that that's just I gotta go where home is, he feeling. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Excellent selection, excellent based uh uh uh reasoning. Let's go with our final panelists, Talonflame and Sayone. Which of these two fighting scenes do you feel will both give you the inspiration of fighting as well as stimulate the fire of the flame?
SPEAKER_02It made all the way, like he was a disrespectful 100%. Like he was just fucking disrespectful. How do you do do this? And then the guy's nose is just bleeding, like uh uh like damn.
SPEAKER_10Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he just like no break, like like it was just disrespectful in the best way.
SPEAKER_01Like when he broke that that dude's leg, he just left him there.
SPEAKER_02You ever see like we playing with Bobby Dolls? How do you like you just like a chicken leg? You just you just did a leg, just swap like like a fly swatter. Like, what the fuck? Like this is something you don't see normally, and I'm like like, oh my gosh, the fight scenes were just so graphic without a gratuitous amount of blood, and that's really and that's very hard to do that because a lot of times in you know in movie or Holly, uh you know, um for Hollywood, it's they just kind of want to put blood to give a certain feel, but I the body torture without blood is just insane, and then they're still alive, like he doesn't even kill these people, he just fucks them all the way up, which I love as well. You know, it's so easy to just kind of just you know kill them off, but he makes them so that they literally cannot walk, cannot think. Like it's it's it's amazing. I thought it was genius. Um yeah, Donien Daniel, I think that's his name. Don't you end is always everything he does, and you would think that you would get tired of seeing him whoop ass over the years. He finds new ways to whoop your ass.
SPEAKER_00He does.
SPEAKER_02Like, I mean, yes, I do agree with Kaze, like it's kind of like watching Dragon Ball Z all this time, y'all niggas conversing and shit, and you could have gotten your ass beat and this whole entire monologue going on. That's true, but again, the fight scenes are fucking sick. Like, it's just did I just watch this nigga just get his head just like knocked up and you know, he just walking away? Cool, and you just he'll just do this finish it move too. Like, I'll fuck you up, nigga. Go ahead and move, move. So it man all the way, all the way for sure.
SPEAKER_00Excellent, excellent. So now we are tied three, three. So we have to have a tiebreaker. So who is going to be the deciding factor for this individual choice? Why are you looking crazy, everyone? Yes, it's three and three. Our tiebreaker is going to be Damo of Shampoo Bracelets. Which of the two movies, Ip Men or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon?
SPEAKER_10Wait a minute. I'm prepared myself.
SPEAKER_02Um, so both points for both movies are valid. I do like crouching tiger, hidden dragon. The the elegance of that fight scene is very beautiful. But are we talking about raw, uncut, I'm gonna beat your ass fight scenes? You won't have to.
SPEAKER_00That's why we chose Damo because she's very aggressive as it pertains to fight scenes. So it man moves to the next round.
SPEAKER_07We should have a gong. We had it in a gong noise after yesterday.
SPEAKER_00I really don't want to hear a gong to be completely out of me.
SPEAKER_10I was completely I was like, it's my birthday too, but I don't want that.
SPEAKER_02And they were just looking to see what's going on. We need to run or break. I was like, wait a minute.
SPEAKER_00I wouldn't, I would not. All right, next pairing we have Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan versus Anakin Skywalker, versus Drunkenmaster 2, Jackie Chan versus Ken Lo. Oh, yes, this is a very unorthodox pairing. Obviously, it's in completely two styles of fighting, so it really kind of goes against the martial arts enthusiasts versus the sci-fi heads. So let's throw it out to our panelists, starting with Hank, we're going down to you on the field. Which one do you choose?
SPEAKER_08Well, I got I gotta tell you, John, as much as I enjoy as much as I enjoy a good battle of the fifth. I I live for the dark side. I got I gotta say the choreography there was extremely underwhelming for that fight to have been as iconic as it is supposed to have been. The stakes were really high, and it can fold online, but at the end of the day, Jackie Chan cannot be matched. He can't nor Jedi when it comes to fighting choreography. It's gonna have to go to Drunken Master, also. I love drunken kung fu, it's one of my favorite fighting songs.
SPEAKER_00Yes, thank you, Hank. Excellent observations from our panelist the black McCoy. So now we're gonna move on to one of our other panelists. Let's see what they have to say. Let's throw it over to Kaze Shinryu.
SPEAKER_05I don't know why I could sense that. Felt it in the force, if you will. Um yeah, I think uh again, another uh another close one, but I don't know, the I swear the like the atmosphere and the parkour from the Star Wars fight is really high up there for me. Like just you know, uh the you know, the score like unmatched, like I I honestly I I'll just I'll just get to the point. Uh I can uh it's hard for me to stomach that I have the high ground scene. It uh it hurts my it hurts my spirit, it hurts my soul. Like like you try to jump over the nigga who who put the jumping over niggas on the map. Uh and that is and that's just that is hard. That's really really hard to ignore. Uh whereas there's uh Jackie Chan is in his in his element he's he's perfected it. Uh he's you know he's amazing. I'm gonna have to yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna have to go with uh Jackie Chan versus Kella.
SPEAKER_00Awesome sauce. We have two for Drunkenmaster 2. Let's switch on over to the flames, talent flame inside cosplay.
SPEAKER_10They can't see your head. Look up Marlene say cheese.
SPEAKER_02Um definitely going with Drunken Master. Um that was for me. I first saw Drunkenmaster, I would say when I was like in middle school. So to see a different fighting style, um, you know, aside from like what I see, like what Bruce Lee did, or like different um like other other um I would say like um release of the dragon or a return of the dragon with Bruce, I forgot what Bruce Lee, but it was like different fighting styles. So I was like, wow, enter the dragon, thank you. Something about the dragon, but yeah, so seeing you know someone get drunk and fight, I didn't actually know this is an actual fighting, right? Like this is dope, and then he's like, Like, that's wicked. So absolutely, hands down, Jackie Chan is iconic. There's nothing that he can't can't do. I mean, he can walk on a damn line and it looks like he's dancing. Like, what the fuck? Like, he everything he does is just artistic, and um, also everything he does is physically grueling and he looks it makes it look so easy, and that also pays homage to his his acting style and how good he is, how how well he he does art martial art. So it goes to Jackie Chan all the way.
SPEAKER_00Awesome. So we have three for Drunken Master. Now, this will either end the bracket or it will maybe save Star Wars from dropping into the abyss of loneliness. Let's throw it on over to Shampoo Bracelets. Is it Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, or is it Drunken Master 2 for the fight scene?
SPEAKER_02I sense that you was looking over this.
SPEAKER_00You can't even see my screen.
SPEAKER_06You have too okay. Um I'm a light, I'm a visual whore. So I like lights and uh lights. You like the warriorism of the fighting, you like the warriorism of the pipe things, we got to like I like, I like I like to watch, I like to watch like visually appealing scenes. And there's nothing. We all do two lightsabers destroyed each year. Nothing. Absolutely nothing to me. Also, because of the acting of Hayden Christian and the whole scene where he's like, he's like, I got the like he's overacting the shit out of it, and then we like we laid it there on the ground and we got you underestimate my lights in the most funny, but the fight the fight itself was good, and then the ending of the fight was ice and all the cakes. Yeah, I'm going with Star Wars.
SPEAKER_00Star Wars still inside of the bracket, but for how long? Let's throw it over to me Skittles.
SPEAKER_11All right, so this was kind of hard for me because because I like I'm not like a diehard Star Wars fan, but I I really do fuck with the original Star Wars movies. Um so this this this particular fight. is is epic, is legendary, it's literally like history. So so um as much as much as I love this particular Piscine with our I am going to go with Jackie Chan because the choreography again Jackie Chan is is legendary in himself as far as his his martial artistry and being an actor and everything like that. So I I really appreciate um what what goes down in this this fight scene versus Star Wars.
SPEAKER_00I mean I totally agree nothing better than you know two lightsabers going at it visually effects and all that stuff but uh but yeah Jackie Chan Jackie Chan definitely deserves uh definitely deserves this this shine right here so I'm gonna go ahead and give it to Jackie drunken master two jackie chan versus ken low continues on into the bracket i think this has been huh i said as it should well you're right i think that was very difficult for our panelists to do based off of favorites best off based off of likes but we must move on so we move on to the next section of the movie bracket and those two fight scenes are the lord of the rings the two towers helms deep versus Avengers endgame final battle avengers versus Thanos and his army i'm sorry i'm sorry the lord of the rings the two towers helms deep helms deep very this is a very difficult it's very difficult for our panelists because there are some diehard lord of the rings elven lovers here there are also people there are also people here who have followed the Avengers chill I don't even call it a trilogy anymore but have followed the Avengers uh uh Marvel Cinematic Universe run from its inception in Iron Man uh so we're going back and forth here but we're going to have to start with of course the most vocal right now Ms.
SPEAKER_05Skittles so so um I'm I'm super biased like I mean I I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings series but that was I don't know what year and Avengers I mean the whole end game everything about the whole fucking Marvel universe is smashing Lord of the Rings so uh that's that's my Avengers takes the one now over to a panelist who I know is having probably the most difficulty making a decision Kaze Shiryu yeah I'm uh I'm gonna go um so I'm just gonna go ahead and you said you sent my boy in to die that's not true at all no no I mean no no that's it's fine but uh so I'm gonna say I'm gonna say some words for for our fallen friend uh the twin towers um uh this it's important to remember that like uh uh fights fights of that scale were not a thing when the twin towers came out like like the like the bit the best we had was like uh like fake ass like reenactments from documentaries and wow you would you would went there this is real as a real guess even though it's fantasy and and like and and when and when uh uh like Xeno put the extra budget in and fit and and fit like 35 people on on on the field but uh like uh you know a mat amassing like amassing and directing uh a fight at that scale uh again backed up by a perfect score and and just like yeah the fight at Helmstead was beautiful it was fantastic it was meaningful however it was beautiful for 2002 2002 like you know and you know Avengers was you know that was like over 10 years in the making it is it is it is it is it is standing on the shoulders of giants of which uh the battle of Helm's Deep is one it is uh yeah you can't uh uh I honestly uh I'd I'd I'd like to see what beats end game that's a good point that is a good one so we have two for Avengers Endgame let's see what Lady Legacy has to say the two towers or the final battle of endgame I I really don't know why this is up against each other um for one not even I'm sure we've all gone to the theater and went you know to see Endgame stayed three hours we we didn't care if it was five hours we would have gone back took a snack especially if they had an intermission it would have been fine took a blanket and was comfortable okay had to recline in chairs made sure to be comfortable there was nothing better than being in a theater than having the theater with that eruption of applause when he said on your left oh boy I was and then he was back it was and then you saw the king rest in peace have a book come out in all his glory from the shunshine of everything back alone you don't have to category I mean why came out came out cooler than somebody that said hey yo let's go get it like granted I can't even give it granted Lord's cute you know it has his it's a it's adorable for what for its own right but there's nothing being especially after what is it 10 years 10 eleven years yes of this whole thing with the I still have my heart but that was one of the only movies that's broken my heart was what was it what was it infinity war yeah there's never been a movie that's broken my heart so bad if you ask anybody in this panel I was in that theater up set oh I was crying dog I cried I lied I cried so genuine tears didn't I even after the credits ran but I'm sorry I'm going on to change it but yeah I choose MK obviously but whatever I digress it it's just it's it just stands the test of time and it after it just showed all the labor that came into it so bam mute you're mute you're mute thank you to wrap up this one we still have the possibility of two towers winning maybe so we're gonna throw it over to talent flame and sayone the rings or the Avengers Avengers the Avengers oh that was quick okay so Avengers moves on all that all that drama for blessing he's doing his best I say he he lied but he's doing his best do we get the little gong thing I don't have a gong nope we can get a gong with sounds are very some sort of like gong effect oh after the fact I I'll see what I can do so future me who's editing this look for a gong all right so next two shows within the movie bracket actually this is the last two shows in the movie bracket kill Bill volume one the the bride versus crazy88 and oren ishi versus oh wow hmm interesting don't do this what you talk about what's that thing right i'm just saying it's very it's it's very interesting what's left in this bracket i was everybody thought of what it was oh you're by i'm sorry on bok two the slave fight scene what oh yeah i gotta go my heart so up it seems like sayone and talentflame may already have a decision so we're gonna start with them um i think we might be we might be split on this one yeah oh wow so i i guess can we be like the the last ones the last ones sure we'll come back so we will start with you said what i'll say we decided oh you decided shampoo bracelets so this particular scene in killbill is one of my fucking favorite scenes out of the whole fucking movie like i can watch that fight scene over and over again um so my vote goes for killbill just alone with the music yes killbill all the way yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah sorry um next miss Skittles your choice so I'm definitely going with um kill Bill I can't even believe like I forgot to put any any of the fight scenes in my in my like I'm trying to remember if I did but I can't um kill Bill is like super close to my heart like the whole shit was just the whole shit was just fucking badass.
SPEAKER_08I watched the movie I watched the animated drone like this fucking ridiculous so absolutely kill Bill all day it was multiple fight scenes yes where I was just like floored like get in that ass dark like yes so absolutely absolutely going with killbill on this like yeah phenomenal so now down to the field once again with Hank Hank do you see anything on the floor with the uh five six seven eights well you're well you're well you know John um I I've been down here with the crazy 88 for a while they've been making a lot of noise they they're already pre-celebrating and I and I can't blame them um Uma Thurman did an amazing job choreographing most well you know going through the choreography for most of the fight especially when she and Lucy Lu got to go sword to sword blade to blade clackity clack Tony Hanzo yes listen listen as as as much as we all know and love how much I I adore drunken fist and umbok too was a phenomenal film yes kill bill had you saying Sharkeisha no we we're we're we're gonna go we're gonna go go ahead and go with Kill Bill.
SPEAKER_00Kill Bill is now in the lead with three to zero there is still a chance for to come back so now we must go to Kaze Shiryu one of our aficionados on fighting scenes in all methods of cinematography you have a a leg up on some of our panelists in terms of the things that you've seen and the things that you've witnessed can you give us some type of insight into which one of these two fighting scenes would be the best in Umbak to the slave fight scene or possibly Kill Bill volume one the bride versus the crazy 88 in Oren Ishi E. I love you but hate you at the same time yeah this is uh this is another close one for me uh I think I think it comes down to uh what you mentioned is the uh cinematography just the the the the the shots the colors the uh the frenetic energy it is it is one of the best the best fights in all killbill and it definitely is really hard to go go against that uh Tony Jaw is amazing I think he's one of the best mars martial artists of the new generation and and killbill would uh ended on that scene if he was in that room however you know this isn't a versus uh who's gonna win this is a versus uh whose fight was more enjoyable um and uh and uh killbill was just uh a bit more meaningful it's a bit more elevated um had better energy um didn't go from kill to use the n-word in that movie yeah or I don't remember any feet shots either I'm gonna have to rewatch um but there was you make tough oh you just had you just had to say it uh yeah but yeah kill bill for me all right kill bill takes the takes the entire block uh tile flame and sayone ers in there don't mostly for having no hard ers very true very true i think they tried to make sure they stayed online i don't think there was many people in that movie that they could even use that word for so good point uh tileflame and sayone i know you wanted to be the tiebreakers at the end did you want to go ahead and give your votes now that we're here at the fact that killbell has already won okay so tony jaw is amazing that fight scene i don't i've never seen somebody stress as like esophagus like how the hell do you finger massage your throat and just fuck somebody up that way i mean i can give you a few ways well let's not that's not and you know and and he tony jaw just has this this menacing look like he's really gonna kill you whereas you know i would say um donnie donnie and he'll he'll fuck you up but tony ja will kill you so i love that look in the eyes that you know you're gonna be done your dog gonna be done everybody gonna be done but kill Bill was revolutionary and and it was iconic when you have to cut the scene from color to black and white because there's so much fucking blood that that is amazing blood was spewing like water um I was done I was done I was like I was like what 12 my mom I kind of like got my mom in the theater and she thought no no we can't watch it we can't we cannot watch it and what happened we sat right the fuck down finished that damn scene so I mean phenomenal heads popping off everything you see in an anime in real life yes phenomenal phenomenal so everything from from go go and the ball and chain technique I mean which was one of my favorites out of that entire fight scene uh to Uma Thurman doing fucking floor routines of dancing with a katana insane I've never cheered on a white woman so much to phenomenal so absolutely I'm sorry babe you can go ahead and get your and get your you can get your vote in well I already lost I mean but it's okay it died all right so kill Bill volume two the bride versus I'm sorry volume one the bride versus the crazy 88 and O Ren Ece moves on to the next round so now we have the next bracket of our tournament which is anime these are the anime that our panelists have chosen sorry the fighting scenes of the anime that our panelists have chosen now we know there are countless literally countless animes and fight scenes all around the world from the dawn of anime till now but our panelists could only choose the ones that came to their mind quickest thieves and then we put it down on paper. So now here's our first matchup fire force joker versus soul commander versus fate berserker versus saber altar or alternate damn this is an amazing uh battle between well I guess battle between one and one in this you know sequence but but battle between two fight scenes where a lot of things occurred saber definitely went berserk on berserker but berserker did not slow down and joker versus Soul Commander we had been waiting all series long to see what Joker can do and he did not disappoint so let's start with our first pairing shampoo bracelets which of the fighting scenes do you feel should move on to the next round it's wrong with you I'm still collecting my thoughts collect them faster um you know which one I want to go with yeah I know which one we're gonna go with um but which one do you need to go with?
SPEAKER_06Oh not me see the the one she wants to go with is also the one I kind of want to go with and that's just because of the the love we have for this character but the fight itself to finally get to see this person in action. But you was only getting snippets the whole season of what you can do and you never actually got into this fight. Now on that note I like berserker I like berserker more than I like Saber to be honest in that like in that whole series um just because if I I when I watch fate I watch it from like okay if this was a video game what character would I play?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_06And berserker is my type of character I can see him being all charge moves. All charge moves just like just a bunch of charge moves heavy attacks and command grabs. I like that shit. So like that's what I was like and Saber I like Saber but it depends on what version of Saber you're getting in fate. Because um I don't think that was the one that I was the biggest fan of Saber alternative? Yeah I don't think I was the biggest fan of that Saber um out of the what couples that I out of the couple fates that I did watch. So I did like that fight I like the visual effects of that fight I like the visual effects of fate as a whole but man that fucking soul commander and Joker fight motherfuckers was like I like he was piecing stuff together at one point. That was cool as shit. Like it was like and also Fire Force as a whole the way they do fire the way they do power and that is just really good to me. So um but to see Joker in action the smoking of the cigarette and then what the smoke does I I really enjoyed that fight incredibly. So I want to I want to you know go on my counterpart here and go with uh Joker versus Soakmander.
SPEAKER_00Phenomenal choice. So let's move on to another individual who happens to have an affinity for fire who's down on the front line seeing what's going on within the world of the black mcoy so um who that fight Joker's fight was a long time coming we have waited to see what this man can do since he first introduced himself in the what first two episodes two or three episodes yes and um you're absolutely right he did not disappoint at all however fire force on its best day could never stand up to the myriad the the the pure like the the the library of iconic and just visually stunning and amazingly choreographed battles that happened in the entirety of any fate series.
SPEAKER_08But we talk about one battle I know but even when it comes to saber altar versus berserker the it was it was very it it it had the level of destruction that you would need to see in a in any anime fight right any fate battle nonetheless and the way in which the the way in which that battle itself was like the the explosions beautiful the color palette they used phenomenal I'm talking like the color palettes they used they there was so much energy amongst every aspect of that fight scene from the the speed The utilization of everyone's powers, all the way down to the final blow being struck, and all of the collateral damage that occurred around them in the process. Like there was no mood that was wasted in that fight. And I think part of the reason that makes it so fine for the point, because we're not talking about, you know, we're not talking about a former fire soldier. We're not talking about these kind of like zealots-type individuals who are fighting. We're talking about two very well-seasoned, very well-known throughout history, which is partly why they're in the face series in the first place. Very powerful, mythical beings who have a procli who have had a proclivity for fighting, which is why they're there in the first place. And that fight alone showed that berserkers aren't just, you know, powerful. They are tactical, they are speedy, and the the the elegance and the grace and the opulence that you can see in Saber Altar, simply in the movements alone, do way more than what Fire Force could have done in that fight. And as much as I appreciated everything that happened and the the emotional impact behind Joker winning that fight in the first place, it can't it can't hold a candle to Saber Altar versus Berserker. So I'm gonna go with fate on this one.
SPEAKER_00Ooh. Shocking turnaround. One-to-one, fate and fire force. So now we're gonna go over to someone new to both of these anime. That is Lady Legacys. What is your selection for either Fire Force, Joker versus Soul Commander, or Fate, Berserker versus Saber Altar?
SPEAKER_09Whatever. Uh, I was not expecting you to pick me. Okay. Um I was still collecting, you know, my thoughts and ideas and prayers. Okay. So I think based on because I am uh a fresh pack of chicken when it comes to you know certain types of anime, uh with just seeing just seeing these things just first offhand and such. Uh, I do agree with the black employee that the one with the little saber junk, excuse my vernacular, uh, little saber junk, the actual just off first, like especially comparing like the color scheme and such like that, the richness of that saber joint with like the colors and how the depth, and sometimes you want that particular color to be a dress you want to wear. I love that. And then with the other junk, uh with the the joker junk, I don't know the backstory in its entirety, but it was the I from what I've you know could get from the actual language, it was the epitome of you thought you had me. Well, here I am, but um yeah, and I'm not the biggest fan of clowns, but I got past that because he was cool. But in comparison, uh just based on because I would in an interest to actually go back and look at it, I would be more interested in the Joker versus the what is it, soul Soul Commander jump. Just the I I would want to see why it came up for this, especially here from all of you that he had such a backstory and he this was unexpected for him to be like this, then yeah, I would want to know about that. So I would definitely go for Joker versus the job, but thank you.
SPEAKER_00Phenomenal choice. So it's learning the backstory that takes fire force to an additional point. So now we have to go over to the talon flame and Sayone. Which of the two anime do you feel should move on to the next round? Again, fire force or fate.

SPEAKER_02It's it's uh no, since you've seen Fire Force, you can give them, you know, because we yeah, yeah, yeah. Go ahead, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I kind of like that there's a whole history behind the characters when it comes to Fire Force, the build-up, and the reason why we felt so good when he did eventually win. But when it comes to the best fight scenes, yeah, Zach took it. The colors, the way they attack, yeah, the action, the enemy quality in itself, totally different. The way it's drawn, uh you can't compete with that.
SPEAKER_02No, like the cut the colors, the the hues of colors, the violets and the reds, it gave this Akira-based destruction, and it was just insane. And there was no break. There was no break. It was hit after hit after hit after hit, even the striations in the veins of the berserk. It was everything was just so crisp. I mean, you really felt like everything was gonna fucking end. And it was it was just and just how cool that bitch was. She was just cool as a cucumber, and then she would just fucking teleport. It was insane. Like I've never, I now want to go back and watch this show because I've never seen a fight scene like that. Not to and of course, I am a huge visual whore. I always say I am, and that was like orgasmic to watch all these colors and fight scenes and then the crispness of it. It was crystal clarity, absolutely amazing. So shit, I need to go watch that to date the whole entire series because that was so good. Um I'm yep.

SPEAKER_02I mean, of course, like watching Fire Force, you know, it had a different, it gave me, you know, soul eater vibes with how it was drawn, a little bit of Dragon Ball Z, which is you know, nostalgic, and you know, the characters are cool, but it didn't hit, it didn't hit the same. It didn't hit the same. So it could I think I think it depends like like rewatched watching the clip for I would say the I agree with you, the visuals are stunning, it's gorgeous. But watching Fire Force when you are leading up to that moment, that took you places. Like you you had to be attached to that moment, I feel like, to understand why him cracking that off was just awesome. It took me. I understand. I understand, like you know, knowing the backstory gives you like the anticipation and seeing, you know, it actually, you know, that can that conclusion of oh wow, that's his powers. But seeing as someone was completely unbiased, because I I don't watch both of these animes, and I'm just going by the fight scene alone, Fates Day wasn't fucking insane. Just going by the fight scene. So I'm I'm completely unbiased because I haven't watched Pire Force or Fates Day. So I have to give it to Fates Day for sure.
SPEAKER_00Excellent, excellent choice. So now we are tied two to two. It seems our Lady Legacy's and our Sayone cosplay have both determined, based off of their completely unbiased opinions, that either one of the anime has a different reason why they want to go back and determine why that fight scene was even more phenomenal than what they saw. So now we have to bring it down to the final two panelists. What are they gonna say? We have an idea of one, but let's ask the other, Ms. Skittles. Which of these two anime do you feel should move on to the next round?
SPEAKER_11Okay, so this is a little tough because Fire Force is uh a very new anime. Um, and then you have face day long time running uh multiple seasons, multiple, as far as the fight scenes go, um I I will agree with everyone who voted for say that uh visually is fucking top tier, like is the goat visually. It it's it has it has everything that that would draw somebody into to um something that they've never seen for or watched before. Or if I if I never seen, I saw that fight scene, I'd be like, oh yeah, then I'm definitely not watching. Um absolutely. Um but um I'm going with Fire Force because I uh I got invested in in this beer and watching him overcome, you know, the this this situation that had been going on behind the scenes for a whole series, and to see him come out on top was just everything for me. Um, especially for a character that initially I feel like somebody who like was like, who are you for, my nigga? Because we don't know who you rocking with right now. So um, so just to see him um um in that fight for me, uh it just resonated with me. It just hit me. Um then the fate series. Um yeah, I'm gonna just I'm gonna just set it off there because then I can go into like you know my my issues with fate. So we're gonna keep it at these fights. And for me, I'm going with Fire Force, even though absolutely fate series visually um is everything you want to see a choreography animated, right? So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Excellent, excellent points, Miss Skittles. So now we're at three to two. We have Fire Force at three, and of course, our combatants fate, Berserker versus Saber alternate, is at two. So let's see who Kaze Shinryu is going to select. This is probably gonna be well expected, but he does tend to surprise Kaze.
SPEAKER_05Uh, I think I think this battle uh um between these two shows really encapsulates the the importance of context. And and the joke, you know, the Joker fight is a super, super good example. Like, you know, like everyone said, everyone's been like, you know, waiting for this. Uh you know, his duty's like he's coming up against his uh his abuser. I think he did a bit more than abuse. But I'd say he pre-preday to convince his man he was something he wasn't. And uh and it really was a uh long time coming in that sense of catharsis you got uh from him actually uh from this fight actually happening was just you know, it really it really hit that spot. Not to mention just like, you know, he you know, he would do a little bit here and there, but it was really a tease and you didn't really know what the fuck this dude can do. So it was a cool like really just like uh uh having him show his hand uh pun intended. Whereas uh I knew I knew you know I knew I knew I knew it was a danger here because uh because uh you know this this is one of my you know it's one of my uh you know fate fate was my my thing. That was my baby. Uh I know fate's extremely dense. Uh I knew I knew almost uh almost nobody would know uh uh know the context lead you know leading up to leading up to this fight. And and to be fair, there's there's there's a lot of context, but as far as like these two fighting each other specifically, it wasn't just it's somebody somebody was going somewhere and they had a and they had a bad bitch to get through. Umy places. Um you know, I think I think one of the uh really uh important things for for this fight is uh you know I follow fight I follow fate like really closely. I follow uh I haven't read divisional novels, but uh, you know, I played a lot of the games, I fought, I fought a lot of the side stuff. And and we haven't seen uh Saber or Altar like animated like right until like just now. And you know, and Saber is like your penultimate like you know, main character. She's all you know, she's all about you know fulfilling her destiny, she's all about doing the right thing. You know, she's had a completely unfair um like you know, destiny and and future like thrust upon her, and she, you know, and she took that, you know, just in stride. And and and and and the existence of Saber Altar is her rejection of that. It's it's it's doing you know, it's it's uh it's her saying, like, you know, the world is not my responsibility. It's her uh grab you know grabbing for that extra for that like extra own for the things, the things that Saber wouldn't do, Saber Alter did already. And you know, and it shows and it and it really and it really shows, especially comparing Saber, Saber's initial fight versus Berserker, and comparing it to Saber Alter's fight versus Berserker, like it was like really like night and day, like and uh, you know, I'm really I'm really like kind of mirroring uh uh what are they called this out? Yeah, the black record on this one, like is is really like the pack the package for me. Like if we were gonna uh if we were like hammering, if this was like studios, like Ufadable hands down, defecating on everybody else. Like the sound design, the uh streamless, streamlessly like come bringing in like this, the computer animation, the uh the the the the the hand-drawn fucking like scenes, just oh the impact, the the colors, the movement, you know.
SPEAKER_11I thought a tear was about to come out.
SPEAKER_05Oh those uh those those don't work too anymore. But if they if they did I think I think one might be racing down my face right now because that oh my god, that that fight just did so many so many things for me. And honestly, all just all three of those movies were just a visual delight and honestly, and honestly just serve as a uh as a very interesting alternate timeline to the to the rest of the series, which is you know that's one of the things why people don't watch. It's too many, too, too many arcade timelines, too many things going on, too many characters to uh to keep up with and what version is this, I you know, I get it, I understand. But uh, but aside aside from it just being a a uh a visual masterpiece and just uh unparalleled fidelity, just just just the fact that I've I've been you know, just like everyone was waiting for Joker to uh kind of show up and get his come up. I I've been waiting for Saber to show this side of herself and in a and in a show called you know fate, you know, showing showing her defiance of it and her rejection of it and seeing and seeing how that manifested was was everything for me. So uh yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna go with uh fate.
SPEAKER_00As expected from Kaze Shinryu. Now here's the issue: we are now tied up, so now we have to have some method of a tiebreaker. Shamplo braces are unified in their decision, and so is Sayone and Talonflame. So, how do we make a decision? Let's find out. We've decided that the moderator is going to make the final decision. So, what should we choose? Hmm, is it Fire Force or is it Fate? I'm in agreement with a lot of our panelists. Fire force, sorry, Fire Force is an anime that has had Joker from its conception, at his at its beginning, between episodes between one and three, slowly peaking and mentioning different characteristics, different stylings. What is his ability? Is it ash? Is it smoke? Is it fire? Uh, was he a replicant from uh smoke for Mortal Kombat? Uh, was he using ash like in Naruto? What exactly is his ability? Then when we get to the end, it's completely different. We find out this motherfucker's a uh uh fire force version of Gambit, and he is not one to play with. So is it Shoker's fight? Or is it the fight from fate? I have been one to watch several of the Fate uh franchise series, and as Kazai said, it's far too many to keep up with. But one thing I do know is that no matter what, each and every one of the series of fates have been absolutely breathtaking and phenomenal to watch. The fight scenes are always chaotic, but they allow you to follow each and every pinpointed character. I myself would fancy a lancer or a uh uh rider. But uh in this particular fight, we're talking about um we're talking about Berserker and Saber. And I will say this fight of the alternate saber was absolutely phenomenal to me. Um, I've seen Berserker in several iterations of fate before, and you know, Hercules be getting it in, big old Herc Heracles. Uh, but this fight, seeing Saber, you know, turn it on its head was absolutely amazing. And I must go with Fate Stay Berserker versus Saber alternate. It moves on in the tournament. Tide of history.

It is Jujutsu Kaisen, Satsuro Gojo versus Jogo. Versus Is this shit on me? What is it? No, not at all. I'm right here. I did know. I wasn't searching for anything. I was not searching for anything. I didn't get on purpose. It was it was it was build up. Demon Slayer, Rui versus Kanjiro. Everybody, we are gonna have to choose today. Jiu Jitsu Kaisen versus Demon Slayer. So all of our panelists have these anime on their hearts, and it's closed, and I'm sure it's about to be a tearjerker. So before we throw it downtown to Hank on the field, let's first ask some of our panelists who are the most upset. Starting with Ms. Skittles.

I'm gonna just go with my heart. So um we all know and I mean in Jiu Jitsu Cognant, if you have if you're watching this right now, you you know uh Gojo is that nigga. Like he is the goat. He he literally, especially if you've seen the recent episode, he's the goat. He is literally that nigga. His power is fucking just phenomenal. It seems unlimited. I like I'm I'm waiting for the nigga's weakness to pop up because I'm not sure yet. Um but um this particular scene, uh this particular fight in Demon's Lair, um just it just hit it just hit different. It hit different. Like I'm like I remember exactly where I was when I watched this episode. I remember exactly how I felt. And I was literally in the gym on on the fucking stairmaster and when I say I hollered out loud watching this fucking this fucking fight okay um so if ever if ever there was a moment that you that you you know needed someone or felt like somebody needs to be there it was it was Tondra and and his and his sister just coming together for this fight and fucking nailing it and and when I say I thought these I thought it was the end for these niggas like I was like this these niggas I like they tried but he just not strong enough and that was and that was where I was at with it and then when when they pulled through and then together just damn near on on knocking at death's door like I was overjoyed overjoyed when I say I I wrote I wrote a post about it on social media I fucking hollered in the gym and niggas didn't know what the fuck was happening and and and and literally sold me on um demon slayer as an anime like period um so just the backstory of I never know how to pronounce his name what is it right um his backstory as a as as the um as the spider demon it it was just it was just a lot it was a lot to take in from him and then it was a lot you know as with with Tanjiro and and his sister just them just their stories together and then coming together and then having this just phenomenal fight scene where where I just where I knew these I knew I just knew that Tanjiro was not going to pull it off.
SPEAKER_06I I literally I literally had this man okay he's just not strong enough period like like um but the I the baseline of the story um one wanting wanting wanting family and and and choreographing niggas to be a part of his life and then another literally fighting for the right of his sister who who's a whole ass demon to to to continue to be a part of life like I don't know I is maybe I'm thinking too deep into it but the whole shit the whole shit was phenomenal um so with with that being said I'm um seriously invested in the demon slayer fight so that's my that's my pick but please do not get it twisted Gojo's bad maybe that's the new Show that's her new sashoma what you and Tanjiro get the one now we gotta move on to the next panelist who have the most issue with this choice and that is shampoo bracelets um I'm I'm in agreement with Miss Skittles like this this category right here is complete none of bullshit and and both fights are close and dear to my heart as well um good real quick though I will say we're in agreement on the answer I am not in agreement with that statement she just made I actually thought this was the best pick I'll give you credit for this thank you best pick out of the whole thing because I think they both would have killed everybody else yes all right whatever be that as it may um the only reason why we are not giving it to Demon Slayer is because of how even after that fire ass shot Ryu or Ri are still still not dead you know what I'm saying like whereas Goju would have killed the demon had that other flower demon not rescued his ass.
SPEAKER_08He would have just silenced him so for that reason we're gonna go with jujitsu kaizen and that's Ben okay that's one in one can't argue with the science so now from downtown Hank the black McCoy are we are we are we live we're good okay can you can y'all hear me can you hear me up there yes Judy can you hear yep we can hear you fantastic fantastic so it it the the cases for both shows have been made um but um we we have a correspondent down here i.e myself who uh wanted to uh give a little bit more insight into the the the the uh the the raw juxtaposition of these two shows um as much as we love uh demon slayer we always know that gojo saturo is is is is is the goat he's the new goat he he is oh he is the overwhelming power that comes with a lot of anime we all love a uh we all know we all know that i love a person who is laced with nothing but overwhelming strength in one way or another in no this man is untouchable with that being said there is less investment in his in his fight than there is in tanjutos because we go in knowing that Gojo is that nigga we knew he was that nigga when he first fought Sukuna and was just playing around for 10 seconds it wasn't a surprise that he beat Jogo Jogo was a lesser special grade curse than Sukuna with one finger he had nothing going for him now Tanjuro's fight was one of the most emotionally driven excellently drawn things I'd ever seen in my life now Gojo Saturo's fight with Jogo absolutely stunning the buildup to him using his special ability phenomenal but that moment where Tanju do remembers his father and his sister who's trapped remembers her mother hears her mother whispering to her mid-fight activating her demon ability her de her blood ability in combination with her brother who is not only tapping into a new fighting style for himself but using that same fighting style to take down one of the one of the one of the core demons in the show under Michael Jackson you you if if you go to my Instagram you see those videos are still up there from from me screaming at the top of the very the Whitney esque octaves of my lungs at Tanjiro swinging the sword breathing putting not only his life but his body his sister's life on the line actually he didn't put her sister his sister's life on the line she put her life on the line and they were all and Miss Kittle said it the best it is like it is this it was a battle of some of Ryu who longed for family and forced a family together because he longed for one that badly versus someone who virtually lost the entirety of their family except their single single relative being his sister and both of them being empowered by the two people who brought them into this world in order to ascend midfight for a last ditch effort at victory and there is nothing in that fight with Gojo Saturo that was as emotionally compelling compelling visually stunning and overall satisfying as far as these fights are concerned. And that's with all of those things combined and that's only because we are really only seeing Gojo Saturo fight like he regularly would we're not there's nothing at stake it's merely porn at that point.
SPEAKER_00So my vote goes to Demon Slayer phenomenal choice it is two one Demon Slayer to Jujutsu Kaisen so let's move on to some other panelists who may have a different thought pattern for what they want to choose as the winner of this match.

It's like our gener like the newer generation's classic is Jutsukaisen Gojo when that fight scene when you see his infinite void and you see the nigga pull up a fucking black hole in the galaxy I was like who's like who has that power like insane overpowered overpowered I've never seen nothing like it you know I'm saying and he the reveal with his eyes because you don't even know what the hell his eyes looked at the entire time he's pretty pretty nigga you know I'm saying but then gorgeous he finds it you know what I'm saying I can't I can't even laugh but with all of that Demon Slayer I I I have to give it to that scene and again we're going by the fight we're not going by the buildup per se I want to I'm trying to do my unbiased opinion if you're just looking at the fight scene of Tanjiro and Ry Ryu or whatever his name is the the spider kid I call it Spider Kid Spider Kid yeah spider kid um it was absolutely beautiful you know it was it was the tension of Tanjo seeing Nezuko teastering up you know blood dripping all over the place and the demon kid right there and he's he's overpowered as well and Tanjiro uses his technique and his father's technique when you see the color go from like blue to red and this nigga's doing fucking a fire dance to whoof and you see the head just spin as a like what that's a final finish like when you think of Royal Comet like finish him like that's the shit that you you think of the head is the head beautifully just shot across the sky what the fuck it reminded me of already to e scout just yeah gracefully gracefully decapitate someone you're like wow that's fucking beautiful as the head is just with compassion at the face and he cries for you like oh god I'm so sorry I killed the fuck out of you my tear like that's a bomb ass shit you know I'm saying you know don't kill me crying for me I'm a hunchy but it had the cinematics it had the emotion there was more texture I would say watching that fight scene compared to Gojo even though it was a great you know combination of that buildup to see that final that final reveal of his powers but cinematically the Demon Slayer fight scene is absolutely gorgeous from the colors to the choreography fantastic so I have to give it to to Demon Slayer for sure what do you say oh yeah oh you agree oh good on your baby three one Demon Slayer there can be a resurgence lady legacy we're gonna move to you which one of these two anime Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen do you select to move on between the two it's the song call for me helps me get my thoughts together um Mo say uh with seeing both of these I have not seen either not gonna hold you uh except for the first time maybe over an hour ago but just going off the fight scene alone I kind of am going to compare it to how the other one and the longevity if if I would want to see it from the beginning just seeing off the top whatever whichever uh I would say both of them had me like oh oh oh oh okay all right cool let me just put my jacket together okay you don't have to do me like that but um I would say for the demon slayer especially hearing you guys and like knowing more of like the plot of it all it does have a little special place tomorrow with the little sibling um you know relationship and such like that and I think graphically I enjoy the Demon Slayer joint more especially with like the springing of the webs and the the artistry with like how the is that a demon the white chick you know the pasty one the one that's in the metamorphosis of her time I should say yep okay so yeah that one I love the way she was drawn and then it's tried to like ooh my brother gonna get you girl but sorry but um that uh I think I would probably want to see like the whole backstory of that from the beginning more than I want to do the other one.

SPEAKER_00So uh but yeah I'll definitely go with uh Demon Slayer to for the one time for the one time so yeah and Demon Slayer moves on it is a crushing defeat for one but it allows us to know what is going to move on into the quarterfinals of this tournament so what is next what are the next two fights who knows you decide no I decide because I'm gonna tell you and it is one piece Luffy versus Katakori sweet Jesus versus Bleach Okiora versus Ichigo anyone who's anyone knows of these two anime uh especially if you watch anime bleach is a long stay one of the shonen you know four back in the day and may come back you never know and of course One Piece the longest reigning champion the longest reigning episodic anime show known to not really known to men but it's out there almost a thousand episodes one of them can't close is actually longer yeah no I said it's almost there it's not the longest one but it's almost there uh so these two anime are something that if you are mainstays if you watch it every single week if you're up to date on both or I guess on One Piece then you know about all of the different fights the build ups of the storyline the villains the uh shonko and everything so you know about uh who Katsukori is and how big of a fight that was between him and Luffy. And then you have Ichigo no Okioda where that fight was not necessarily never going to happen but when it happened we were sure one person was gonna die and we were delightfully surprised so what we're gonna do is give it up to our panelists who's gonna start it off I think it should be Kaze Shinryu.
SPEAKER_05Please Kaze do start ooh um yeah this is pretty this is pretty rough I'm uh huge huge fan of both uh both series uh um unfortunately one one piece uh uh went went went under went underwater I couldn't swim they lost me there uh so unfortunately I didn't uh no they they they they said we was going to we was making a short stop at Fishman Island and we was there for like five months I I appreciate that um but um so yeah I haven't caught up to the uh category fight however just uh the just just the ramifications of this fight echoing throughout the internet has has uh you know reinvigorated my uh my need to go back and watch watch the series I've been hearing a whole you know a whole bunch about it honestly I got I I I low key wish I didn't even uh you know watch it but it wasn't that serious but unfortunately I am missing a lot of the uh yeah the contacts uh leading up to a fight which I think is a pretty big piece of that uh especially especially for uh a fight for Luffy fighting someone so similar to himself and I'm and I'm not sure but I think I've uh I think I heard that the fight was very um educational for Luffy just just fighting someone who's been fighting like him longer. Um also also I uh I I despise Gorilla Luffy and and wait you despise what uh gorilla Luffy the the big big fat Girlman yeah yeah yeah Gear Forth I love Gear Fourth Luffy yeah that's cool but uh it went hilarious uh yeah it's hilarious it uh it's so hilarious I don't care what he's what he's fighting um but um but seeing seeing him going to another version of Gear Forth really did the things for me there it is um I was like okay I have a thing to look forward to because because him him him going to become this guerrilla rocket ship gorilla rocket it's the audacity for me yeah the unmitigated goal um but you know and then and then and then comparing it uh you know while we're while we're on aesthetics like uh comparing it to uh this this uh this fight in Bleach really like changed the game for me it uh I love I left all of the Wake Mando arc and you know they they they they were definitely like I guess playing fast fast and loose with the like you know they came out and told you like yep this is they number you know 10 10 through one you know close closer you get to the top the stronger you stronger stronger you are and then but then but then yummy came out and he's like nope I'm um I'm I'm not 10 I'm actually zero I'm strongest I'm like I don't believe you you fight too early but I was like but baby you mean like physically strongest like I can punch the hardest but um and then you know and then and then okay and then and then uh and then Inchigo has a beautiful flawless fight with Okiora and then and then Okeora tells him this isn't even my final form yeah and and as and as a uh uh D V Z stand I'm always excited to see somebody's fucking next next transformation and like I swear just like the the the the fucking Spanish music oh the castanets uh thank you thank you I was like what the fuck is that thing but but that that that that's if he fucked what did he know about the gastinets but you know yeah I had the entire soundtrack on YouTube just for the um yeah yeah I mean every single sound song hit in that entire art fantastic yeah I mean and I really and I really love like uh like how uh how uh Okeyora really like stood out compared to the rest of the spider and and and and honestly like when when when they when you when you break the the roof of something that you didn't know had a roof like that's the there's a few better ways to to like elevate and change the context of what's going on like like like like this nigga was like all right so we're not allowed to fight here because we will destroy here all of here so I'm not trying to break the rules so we're gonna leave and then and then you break the roof of the sky and leave and even through the hole you made the the the the the the the explosions and ramifications are still shaking like almost all of Wacomundo like uh the the the the just the design the the fucking like uh like mephistophily the bad like Baphomet the design of uh of Okeyora's like second second awakening the the uh the the fucking like the freaking like broken violin sound when he was made his like sero spears uh uh oh and and and and I and you know and and if I'm and as much as I'm in love for like a a second form the the don't you know if you if you really want to do it for me you you make that shit dark and twisted and fucked up and s and sing That shit Ichigo turned into was so fucking beautiful. And him and when he started shooting Saros from between the horns that was amazing. Oh my lord. And and and and and and and seeing the complete lack of food, like Ichigo's about to kill all his friends. Yep. Like it's anyway. Oh man, like I swear, when he when he caught that, when he caught the fucking new Cassero spear and it started seeping between his face, oh my God. Uh yeah, I'ma I'm gonna go I'm gonna go bleach on this one. That that uh it took me back. And like, you know, bleach bleach bleach always usually usually does a uh a good job. It's one of the few things they do like as as well as the rest of the big three is like you know, like uh impeccable character designs, beautifully made and choreographed fight scenes, and this is one of the so yeah, definitely.
SPEAKER_00So from uh DBZ bleach somewhat stan to the One Piece King or Thempress, the Black McCoy.
SPEAKER_08I'm not gonna lie, this is hard. It's hard because I am a one piece fan, but I also recognize that and that that fight with Luffy and Captakuti lasted for months. It did, and it was worth every single moment. Watching Luffy not only just evolve during the fight, but primarily keep getting his ass beat in the process. Like that the fight between Luffy and Katakuri was so monumental that it took him months, at least in our time, for him to genuinely overcome that battle. And by the time he actually won, I wasn't even sure he actually won. I was in complete and utter disbelief because Kata Kuri was that much stronger than he was. He was everything that Luffy was, but better. Kata Kuri had never lost the fight. Kata Kuti had hardly ever it's Kartakuti has never been touched. We've never seen not even a flashback where Kata Kuri lost a fight in any way, shape, or form. This is a man who has whose bounty is so high, partly because no one has ever been able to touch him. And it took Luffy so long to even get to the point where he landed a hit on Kathakuri. And he did it instinctually, but by accident at the same time. So the the the the the sheer what's the word I'm looking for? Just the the the ramifications of that fight alone, for me, put it above bleach. However, as much as I really don't give a fuck about bleach, partly because of just the narrative structure itself, I I cannot deny that one Ukiura was my favorite Espada. And I was waiting for that moment where he and Ichigo finally got to crosswords, and I was not disappointed. I was elated. I screamed. Like I like I and mind you, this is about the point where I like stopped watching Bleach for a while, and then like I heard it was happening, and I came back and I stayed for the rest of the art. That is how much that fight did for me. It took a show that I really, really don't like and made and brought me back and made me stay. And for and to have accomplished that feat alone, I have to give it to Bleach.

So just just just save y'all the the time and the energy and the stutters. Um, I'm gonna go ahead and go with bleach, and uh it's for for all of those reasons.

Uh the true fact that bleach bleach is a literal repeat of the first art over and over and over and over again until you finish the mega. It never changes, it never fucking changes at all. That fight was cool though. Um, One Piece. I can read the slice of life, I can read a slice of life manga. If I take the fighting out of one piece, it's a slice of life sailing manga. That's it. If I take the fighting out of one piece, it's literally the slice of life for which they travel the world.

When it first came out, I even tried to read the fight, tried to read it, tried to watch it. I couldn't do either one for that one piece fight. And it just, it wasn't like it's some reason, One Piece just doesn't do it for me. It just doesn't. Even when I watched it animated, it just couldn't do it for me. The hero fight, uh, a lot of the reason why I like that art really is because it's the first art of bleach, but with better music, and that whole fight was actually fire. The graphic, that was when I thought Bleach was actually gonna do better. Then I think it ended like like the neither next, it didn't even make it to another season or it ended the very next day after he did the foolbringer shit, and then it just like cut that whole chest. Oh, it was trash. That was trash.
SPEAKER_02They should have stopped it when Aizen, well, he didn't even die. Like Aizen was like crystallized, like when his hair turned black, nigga, just stop it. Don't go further.

I want to say I make sure I say this right, Merriam, I think, versus Netero versus Black Clover, Yami and Asta versus Dante. So most of our panelists have talked earlier on in this episode about the yelling Asta, which all happened within the first season or two. But now we're in the most recent season of uh Black Clover, and this fight actually happened within the last two or three episodes, and it four episodes actually, and it took uh Black Clover to a whole nother dimension of characteristics. But the Hunter X Hunter fight, this particular one is even one that I have seen, even though I'm not a person who's watched all of Hunter X Hunter, and it is something that was shockingly appealing and um visually aesthetically amazing. So let's figure out what our panelists have to say about this matchup, and we're going to start with Lady Legacys.
