Welcome back, everyone, to the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. We have been gone for a minute, but now we are back. Ah, it's good to say that. I've been trying to practice what I would say, but I guess it just ended up being the same. But you know what the difference is? We have been here for a year, people. One whole year. Anniversary. Cycling it back. 365, 52 weeks. We've actually had more than 52 episodes.
SPEAKER_03Um 25,600 minutes.
SPEAKER_00How dare you? Um you had to say it. No, that's not true. No one had to say it. Uh, but we have, I think I can speak for our entire uh group of panelists, both guests and continuous. We have enjoyed ourselves. Uh, we have talked about a many of things. Um, honestly, I feel like I've lived the life of uh what they call us a millennial twice. Uh, and that's because I've lived a regular life, and then all this shit that's happened within this last year was like our entire lifespan of bullshit, all crammed into one year. Um the good point is it gave us plenty to talk about. The bad point is it gave us plenty to talk about. Um, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Um we've laughed, we've cried, uh, we've raised our fists up in anger, we've crossed our fists up for Wakanda. Uh, we've done many things this past year. And um our panelists we left that one off the list. I was definitely leaving that one off the list. Thank you. We didn't do it, that wasn't on one of the ones. We have our panelists here, and they're going to give their um their takes, their feedback, their recollection is not the right word. Uh, we're they're gonna give how they feel or felt about the last year and um what they want and plan to do as we move into the future. Blurred Spectrum is not going anywhere anytime soon. Uh, we plan on doing a lot of new and adventurous things, and we'll talk about that at the end of the episode. But first, I of course must introduce our uh panelists, uh, starting with the black McCoy. What's going on on me? Me Skittles, yeah, Sayone, cosplay, the Doctor, what's good, shampoo bracelets, and of course, your moderator, Suchino Shogun. Uh, we are here, like I said, to tell you uh about you know what you know we've just experienced during this past year, what this podcast has meant to us, and you know what we're really trying to do um as we move forward. So, who I will start with is someone who is in the field at the moment. Uh, she's uh experiencing sports as we all know it. Uh, I want to give her the opportunity to kind of jump in there, you know, uh, because she enjoys talking about what she sees and what she likes to do. So, you know, Sione cosplay, why don't you tell us exactly how oh, and Talent Flame, what this last year of Blurred Spectrum has meant to you?
SPEAKER_08Uh it has been an adventure, it's been a ride, it has been uh a space of healing and just expression. And it's been great. It's like been it's like chicken soup for the soul for black people. And you know, it's been it's been everything and more. Um it really has been uh a space where we can express all of our feelings, our thoughts. Um I'm sorry, I got my my nephew's game in the background. Um, but you know, our feelings, our thoughts, um, you know, our tears, our cries uh from Black Lives Matter movement to the political distress that's been going on in our country, um, just to seeing people coming together, seeing uh Black nerds really just come together and just harmony and love and having wonderful, humorous events at the same time. Um it's just been a wonderful collection of different people. And it really is what the blur spectrum is about. Beautiful melanin from different spaces. You know, who would have thought that in a pandemic, we all that were almost strangers came together as wonderful friends. So it's just been everything and more to me. Um, and I never knew it was going to be to this magnitude of excellence, black excellence. And it just means the world to me, my my boo-boo, you know, you know, a black nerd as well, talent flame, you know. So we just really appreciate the love and support and the opportunity to be a part of this committee of black excellence. And I hope to be a part of it now and forevermore. And I'm all for it and to see all the greatness from now and for years to come.
SPEAKER_04So let's speak.
SPEAKER_00Oh, she made me tear up a little bit, actually. That is very difficult to do. Okay. She was also off the stage with her Oscar and shit.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00We'll transfer it. Make sure you have it so you can give it at your next award spit ceremony. Um that was awesome. All right, so uh let's uh throw it over from um one uh cosplayer to another. The uh the the incomparable, the the voluntuous, the uh phenomenal, the award-winning, the uh uh supernatural, the far most intelligent, the degreed, the doctorate, the black lapoy.
SPEAKER_03I was like, I don't know, what are you talking about? Okay, um, this uh this is it's been uh absolutely amazing not to uh not even gonna try and kind of follow the sentiments that Sonia put out there, but like after kind of swiftly bamboozling um both Miss Skittles and Sione into a podcast that happened entirely understood. But you know, that's just kind of the nature of uh being so very persuasive. Um and then I'm just grateful that when we were developing the idea that like these two amazing women were you know some of the ones that came to mind. I was like, oh, we I mean I know exactly what we need, but no, no, um like working with everyone from start to finish, just thinking about like the very first episode we put together, um working our way through all of our different topics and just kind of developing our own style and developing our own rhythm and our own flow, and even having moments just of just like we're doing better than that over there. No, no, no. Did you hear about that? No, no, no. They don't they don't have the chemistry that we all have as a podcast, like it's just not there. Like we we can tell. Like we we we we know who we are as a as a group of uh podcasters and black nerds, and I think that's one of my favorite things that I've come to experience about us that as we've kind of grown and and aged throughout this year of developing this podcast during a pandemic where we have not really been able to be together except for like one time, we have a special Digimon versus Pokemon episode and still continue to maintain the one of the most um individualized identities amongst like black nerd podcasts and maintaining the integrity of really why we started the podcast in the first place and why everyone came together and how everyone contributes their own individual personalities, flair, and specialties, and expertise to everything that we have offered to the internet over the year. And uh I'm also just astounded at how much work we just have casually put into um bringing this together uh because we have over like 50 episodes now, I think.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_03And it's so interesting. And to to kind of have watched ourselves, you know, continue while we're still absolutely growing. It's just been it's been an amazing experience to to work with everyone, to work with people I love and people I really enjoy, and just create something that's fun for us that doesn't make us feel that has that doesn't make us feel like we there is something missing as far as like the fulfillment that we have as black nerds. So I love everyone, and I hope to continue making the podcast with you all. And I'm I'm I'm not sorry that I I lied to Sione and um Miss Kittles to get them here.
SPEAKER_00I must second the fact that I'm happy that you lied to them because um yeah, we we I mean honestly, and just a real quick piggyback off that point, we didn't know what we were doing when we decided to start this. Um, we knew we wanted to do a podcast, we knew we wanted to talk about certain points. Um, and I know we had the conversation, and I think, you know, I had spoken to the doctor and I had spoken to Kaze and I said, Hey, this is the idea that we're trying to, you know, kind of do. And we were like, I was like, uh, you know, you know, we want to do this, we want to talk about that. And then, you know, I talked to the black McCoy and I was like, So do you think we have the ability? Do you know anybody who would want to do it? Oh, yeah, I know two cosplayers that would love to do it. I was like, Are you sure? I mean, I don't want to just are you like, don't you want to talk to them? Oh, no, no, no, they'll definitely be down for it. I was like, Oh, okay, well, if you go ahead and talk to them, that's that's cool. Um, and you know, the first day it was um as you know, both Sione and the Black McCoy was saying, we kind of just all started to gel. We all just started to feed off of one another and communicate, you know, some of us who had been friends for you know almost a lifetime, others who had just met each other for the first time not too long before that. And now it's turned into a community of individuals that um I can honestly say we, you know, we're we're now a close-knit family at this point. We we will help each other, you know, move places, uh, we'll help each other, you know, build things for events, um, create, you know, lifetime memories and moments that we'll never forget. Um and for myself, I thoroughly uh, you know, when I when I brought the idea up, I was just I was like, I felt the need and I felt that you know we have things to say and we would really enjoy saying them. Um, I think my main fear was, you know, people got stuff to do. Like, are they gonna have the time to sit down for a couple of hours every week or every month and you know just talk about topics? And I just realized you sure will. I mean, I realized we were already kind of doing that when we were hanging out, and I was like, well, this is like this is prime podcast, like choice beef right here. We could definitely, and for the vegans, you know, tofu. Um, there's just you know, prime cuts of stuff. Um, and I was like, you know, we can definitely turn this into a a place that because each of each of the opinions and each of the statements that our panelists have, I think is a voice that someone else has. It's a thought that somebody else has, you know, whether it's about you know TV shows or movies, you know, political situations, live events, anything that happens, you know, everybody has their own opinion. And a lot of opinions, although they may not be completely succinct, they they intersect at certain points. And I felt I feel like because each of us have our have had our own, you know, building path to get to where we are right now, we've experienced different things. The things that I've experienced are not the same things that Miss Skittles experience, the things that Mrs. Skittles experience is not the same thing the doctor's experience, the same things the doctor's experience is not the same thing Shampoo Braces has experienced. And, you know, being that each of us can, and it is the key to it, each of us can can express our our feelings, our thoughts, our emotions, uh, even give our past experiences in a conversation without negatively shutting the other one down. We can listen to each other's opinion and say, I can I can take something from that. I'm not just gonna say, Oh, you've spoken, now I'm gonna speak. We legitimately have the ability to, hey, what did you say? Hmm, that's an interesting factoid. But what about this? And you know, just balance off one another to the point where we can like come to I mean, we we haven't always come to a final conclusion because some people still feel like, you know, certain anime are better than others, and some people feel like people yell during a certain anime, but I digress. Um, I I think you know, we're we are uh a collective that is bar none, and I I cannot wait to see what we do next and what we can provide for not only our audience, but our our future audience, because I know we're only going to grow from here. Um that's enough of what I gotta say. Uh, the doctor, uh, how do you feel? What do you feel? How has your year been uh a part of the uh blurred spectrum podcast?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so it's you know, it's very interesting. I didn't really have any expectations coming into what exactly the podcast would be like. And certainly, you know, in being in the heat of the pandemic, I had no idea how that was going to affect things and whatnot. But you know, it's really come together well, and it's really been this unique combination of all these different intersections of you know, my life that I enjoy with gaming, you know, black culture, we talk about politics sometimes, we talk about health stuff sometimes, and we talk about you know community. And I think that's been such an important thing to have, especially now. In a situation where, you know, social isolation is still a really big thing, and a lot of venues, you know, have not survived the pandemic. So a lot of our community spaces just don't exist in their original physical form anymore. So having something like this, you know, it's so important. And I really, you know, just love the fact that we've been able to make this space and keep this space going for so long. Uh, you know, uh again, like I didn't really have any expectations going in, but it's definitely definitely been this very positive and very important experience for me. So, you know, I'm really excited to see how the podcast develops, where we go from here, and you know, what new connections we make. You know, I think that's another thing or another way in which the podcast has been just really, really um a good part of my life, uh, both in the connections I made like with you know, members of the podcast, as well as you know, with some viewers who, you know, I've like made a friend through a viewer you know of the podcast who reached out. So yeah, like it's in um it's been a really great, you know, it's been a really great, enjoyable experience. And yeah, um looking forward to seeing what's next and where we go from here.
SPEAKER_04Oh, we're amazing.
SPEAKER_00So that's uh and and that's together and shit. So that's the type of thing that I've you know that I'm saying, like being able to, you know, have uh I you know, I don't know, you know, how that came about, but being able to communicate with a viewer and then turn it into a friendship or connection is you know why we started it is you know, sharing our opinions so other people can, you know, find a safe place to talk about the things that they want to talk about in all of those different pathions that you talked about, uh, the doctor. Um but you know, one of our panelists who has shared many a times about you know different intersections and you know how how she grew up allowed her to become more comfortable with anime and cosplay and video games and all the things that she was, you know, accustomed to, um, and introduced her to many networks that you know enable her to be the person who she is. What now, which has, you know, I personally believe skyrocketed our popularity due to the phenomenal name of Miss Skittles being on the podcast. Um uh so I would like to give it over to her, Miss Skittles, uh, as a as a member of so many different networks and entities and groups and things that have added you know several million uh viewers and listeners to our podcast.
SPEAKER_04What do you think?
SPEAKER_00What is uh sorry, what was your first what was your year?
SPEAKER_07Um so while I appreciate the accolades, I am nobody, but uh hopefully one day I I I will I will bring that that to uh that energy to the podcast, um hopefully. So um, yes, while I was um partially bamboozled into this, I I um I was definitely uh like nervous about the whole thing. One, because you know, I I mean I've listened to many uh podcasts um you know related to our culture and and being a blurred and things like that. Um and I know and I know it's a lot of work and you know it's a lot of time and energy, and and this is another shared space where I'm going to have to get to know, you know, people, um, personalities and things like that. So I was really nervous about it, definitely. Um and then also the time aspect, like like you said, I'm doing a lot of shit. So um I'm a part of a lot of things. So um it was just like, ooh, like do I got the time? Um but um even though you know we didn't know where we're going in the beginning, um of course as the the year progressed, um just just getting to know each and every one of you, um on a on a friendship level, on a personal level, and then bonding with you know, bonding with each other and hanging out. And then um it just made it just made for this podcast to to flourish and it just comes natural like talking to you guys. Um like I don't even even though it is a podcast and recording and you know we have set topics and things like that, um, at the end of the day, every Sunday to me, it's just like, oh, I'm about to hang out with my friends for a little bit, you know, you know, catch up, see what everybody's doing, talk shit or whatever. Um, so I I think that's really like my favorite part of it. Um, you know, like it doesn't feel like work. Um, so um, so yeah, I really appreciate everybody and uh I love you guys. You guys are so fucking awesome. Everybody's awesome. Um, and I just love like um, you know, hearing everybody's different perspective on the things that we discuss. Um like you said, everybody's experiences are different, and it's it's um it's good to to have a collective of, you know, this black magic here. Uh and get everybody's um, you know, their their perspective on the different topics that we talk about and then just just living life as a blurred in general. Um, so I really appreciate the Blurred Spectrum podcast. Um, I look forward to everything we're about to do in the future. Um especially as far as like when when the outside like opens up, like really, really opens up. Like just you know being being at cons and things like that, and just having our name out there and and these like goody things that we we supposed to be, you know, working on people. So, you know, I'm super excited about all of that stuff. Um and um yeah, hopefully, you know, the millions of viewers they'll they'll be here like you know, because I'm ready and and and and they're not ready for they're not ready for us, like really. They're not ready for these discussions.
SPEAKER_03We're trying to make sure they have the range because you know because sometimes they right, yeah.
SPEAKER_07So um, yeah, I'm I'm I'm so proud of us. I'm so proud of that to to be a part of this. Um yeah, I I don't know. Um no, I can't even have it. I don't know, I'm stuck. But yes, so yeah, blurred spectrum podcast forever.
SPEAKER_00I got the cat in one hand, so you know I guess I'm gonna cross. So uh our our well, our our first, wait, let me how do I put this? Our first official couple of the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. Um they uh well actually they're the first family of the Blurred Spectrum Podcast, if you really think about it. Um they uh have uh started from the get-go, started from the start of the episodes, and they have been a crucial tiebreaker for tournaments. They have been a uh deciding factor in arguments, uh not really arguments, debates. Um, they've been um half of them have been uh sole researcher and uh uh uh factoid giver, the other has been uh a shit starter and a violence provoker. Uh we
SPEAKER_02I'm fine. I'm fine no matter how this goes.
SPEAKER_00I'm living both as but uh shampoo bracelets, uh, which would uh is a combination of both Damo and Shammy D87. Uh, what's uh has been your experience this last year? Um, a part of the Blurred Spectrum podcast.
SPEAKER_06Um let me say that trying to record while having two kids run around has been uh a little difficult sometimes, but you know, thank God for Netflix. Um sponsorship.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_06Um no, but aside from that, I think if you would have told me like a year ago that you know we're just gonna randomly get a bunch of people together and we're gonna start talking about things that we're interested in in, or even when we were in high school, because again, I've known Succi since high school. So if you would have told me later on in the future we would be doing this, I'd have been like, you know, gonna listen to us, just ramble on and just talk shit.
SPEAKER_03Very true.
SPEAKER_06Um, but this has been therapeutic and I want to say um almost like escaping reality for a couple of minutes, for a couple of hours, excuse me, not minutes, a couple of hours to just talk about things that you're interested in or learn somebody else's view, or even pick up new things that you didn't think that you would be interested in. Um for me, you know, the conversations alone on and off camera. I would love to record some of our off-camera conversations because I think it would be hilarious. Right, right. No, for real, um has been has been good, you know, gaining new friends, meeting new people, especially during the pandemic, because you didn't have that space to do that. You were pretty much isolated from the world. So to be able to connect with different people and people who sometimes are going through the same thing that you're going through, um, it it was good for me.
SPEAKER_02I'm chewing on the time to move out. So it's like good as fuck. Um so yeah, uh the one thing I will say about this is um for the past this past year has been a giant test of my uh introvert. Every um every Sunday. I as I as I've gotten old and I've learned that I I hate people more every single day. So um every single day. So um I think he loves you for real.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, for real.
SPEAKER_02Umday is literally just a testament that I love y'all and not because um it's it's hard. It's hard to try to get on this podcast, especially when Dallas looks at me and say, Yeah, we gotta do a podcast. I'm like, but I don't want to do people. And uh, you know, for real, I I like I do like talking to y'all. Um, I do find this therapeutic and I do see this as uh yeah, just a just a reason to not be a hermit. So um because if it wasn't for y'all, he will be a hermit. I will be a hermit. Yeah, I I barely talk to my whole family outside the ones I live with. I'm curious.
SPEAKER_06So it's like and since I know the podcast, keep in mind that he's been here multiple times and he has only seen y'all.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. So um so uh hilarious because I barely talk to my family too. Like you know how this how this works.
SPEAKER_02Um a lot of my family members, this will be the first time they see if they would listen to this podcast, it'll be the first time they heard me years. So um, so yeah, this is uh yeah, this is uh this is uh I mean I guess that also somebody listened to this podcast and like oh shit, you drop the bottom on us right there. Anyway, um uh yeah, seriously, this is um it's been cool, you know. It's been a fun year. Um, this gives me a reason to talk about a lot of stuff that normally I probably wouldn't even talk about. I just keep myself or talk to uh Damo here about nowadays.
SPEAKER_06So um, I do look forward to the you know the world continuously opening up safely. Yeah, um, because record at like different cons that's going on, yeah, just so we can, you know, get the blurred spectrum name and Umbrestarcade and new studio creations out there a little further, and not black by choice, right? Um, you know, black excellence and entrepreneurship needs to thrive. You know, a lot of businesses run the stigma of, well, I don't get the same customer service that I would get at, you know, Macy's or some other non-black owned shop. But I think if it you you have those few good apples that can change that narrative, then you know it'll it'll soar. Black businesses will get the shine that they deserve.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Damn about the person. I won't be able to everybody uh don't talk to the public because I'll say some shit, they'll give me cancer. So uh that sounds like that's all of our jobs at this point. Somebody's about to listen to the podcast right now, like, oh my god, he has talked to his family years, tell us aha.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna get it, we're gonna get no, we're gonna get a message on our mailbag. Mark, we missed you. Oh, he'd be side mellowing. Listen, this this cat has not been worried about nobody. Nobody. Nobody. Like I'm pr I'm very confident that when y'all when when when he's reunited with y'all and these children, he will not know what he will very much miss the fact that he's gonna be able to be unbothered all day.
SPEAKER_02No, yeah, we're gonna miss that shit tremendously.
SPEAKER_00So um, yeah, I mean, as I think we've all had a you know group consensus that we're all thoroughly enjoying the the the ability to talk with individuals on a weekly basis, you know, you know, it it has been therapeutic, it has been, you know, um strengthening. Um I I remember the you know Chadwin Bo Chadwick Bozeman episode um where we were able to you know release a lot of our confusion, our dismay, our uh b being bereft of utterances, um uh uh the sadness. It's a sadness, thank you. Um uh what you know, Wanda vision, you know, our excitement. Our our I mean, we didn't have really conspiracies, but we you know we had different thoughts about what what the show was leading into, and you know, being able to, you know, share. You know, it's it's uh uh uh Miss Miss Skittles did you know, chime on it, uh I think hit the nail on the hammer. And you know, it's being able to weekly, you know, talk with your friends and have conversations and you know, it's the thing that you would normally do outs if the pandemic didn't happen, where you could sit down and watch. Like people have watched shows virtually during a lot of these different situations, but being able to uh talk like this and have you all listen to us, I think has been um good for us, and I hope I hope good for you as well. Um, I mean, based off of the mailbag and based off of you know uh uh the DMs and you know Instagram and stuff. Sorry, the direct messages and Instagram and Facebook. It's too late. It's too late. Just go ahead and stick with it.
SPEAKER_03Just go ahead and stick with DMs. It's okay. Um that you've been listening and we support your decision and using it.
SPEAKER_00All right, thank you, which is why it's direct messages. Uh so uh thank you for being able to listen. Uh thank you for being able to share with us. Um, as both Miss Skittles and uh uh shampoo bracelet or Damo uh alluded to. We do have a lot of things coming uh soon, uh between our topics that we plan on touching on. Uh we we have a couple of uh uh I guess I'll let the uh uh proverbial cat out of you know uh black McCoy's lap. Uh uh, which uh he came back over here.
SPEAKER_03I'll put his ass down.
SPEAKER_06He looks like a little baby, just like help me. That's all he does.
SPEAKER_03Whenever I'm sitting right here, but people come in, he'll like give him like, yeah, come on, bitch. Come on, get on over here.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, we we soon we plan on doing um our blurred spectrum uh claw my t.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Lord, uh blurred spectrum blurred spectrum uh gift boxes. Uh we have a specific name for them. Um I'm sure Damo knows it. I don't, uh, but she'll tell you later. Um nobody really calling it the blurred box. Ah, and there you go. Like I said, I didn't know it. She knew it. So we will have our blurred boxes coming soon.
SPEAKER_03We should like bring back the bird box advertisement for the blurred boxes. You said what? We should bring back the bird, the bird box means. Wow.
SPEAKER_00I don't know if people would want to open it then. But uh, but yes, we have the blur box. Nope. We have the blur boxes coming soon, uh, which I hope you all partake of. It had it will have uh uh quite a few special items in there. I'm not gonna reveal the secrets just yet. Um, we also have our formula is going to be in there. So you said you're what the crabby patty formula. I don't want that inside the blur box. They'll never make it to people's houses. Plankton will take all of them. What are you talking about? Don't put that out to the universe. Um our first ever blurred spectrum merch is uh going to be available very, very soon. Uh, so we're really excited about that. Um, hopefully somebody will get a you know blurred spectrum cup really soon. I don't think we're just uh waiting on facts. Um also uh as uh uh uh Damo explained or exclaims, uh we hope to, you know, once the cons uh open back up for real rural, not for play play, we can definitely go out and we plan on being at a lot of conventions that are you know you know safely opening up and we can see our listeners and see our fans um live and in real color. Um uh so in moving color.
SPEAKER_04Oh Lord.
SPEAKER_00Uh so uh we're really excited about all the things we're about to start doing. Um and we're really excited to see you know where where this next year between 2021 and 2022 takes us. Uh there's new anime coming out, there's new video games coming out, there's new TV shows. Disney's about to put us on notice. I mean, they already gave us a little sneak peek between Wanavision and The Winter Soldier, and they got this whole calendar already set up to 2025. So, you know, we're gonna have just do with Disney alone, Disney Marvel. We're gonna have plenty to talk about now with this whole Disney. Like, I I'm child, I ain't ready, but we're gonna have plenty to talk about, y'all.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna talk about the 30-30 dollar premium price that you're trying to make people pay for.
SPEAKER_00Look, as as providers of the word and providers of the opinion, I we will we may just have to invest sponsorship. Uh, so let's just you know be ready to be able to uh I we may do live watches as well, we may do um you know movie nights, uh we may do you know TV show, live premieres, things of that nature. Just be ready. Our our content is about to skyrocket, uh, because all of our panelists are really excited, you know, except for you know Shammy B, who you know, we're we're slowly just trying to get him out the hermit stage. You know, he's very comfortable where he is.
SPEAKER_03Um Master Ugwe continue to be Master Uwe.
SPEAKER_06I think that's just in his blood because you know his his aunt Hermit for real.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, nope, nope, you're right. Can we tell them the best?
SPEAKER_06Yep, yeah, yeah. I was about to say black mobile. We can't forget about June, which is Juneteenth.
SPEAKER_03So um Domo and I have curated a special like set of black as fuck episodes for June for our return for our anniversary for Juneteenth to celebrate all things black, blacky, black, black, black from food to business, from like food to businesses to all to the blackish shit of the blackest, the black, black, black, black, black that you would find it passed the conduct to the origins of blackness into all of blurb though.
SPEAKER_06And the DMV to go check out that are black owned during that month. Um, we're gonna even touch on music, okay? And I know that's a touchy subject in the black community, but we're gonna touch on it, talk about who's hot, who's trash, who you need at the cookout when you have your June people cookout. We're gonna have some black business owners on here and to for them to talk about how they got started, what they're doing, and how you can reach out to them. We're gonna stretch as far as North Calac and possibly Atlanta. We'll see. So stay tuned. We'll be posting and give y'all notifications.
SPEAKER_00Yep. I mean, like we said, we want to the the the main purpose of the Blur Spectrum, of course, is to talk about different topics that are, you know, important to not only us, but to black nerds as a whole. And one of the things we also want to do is improve your lives. So we've talked about you know mental uh wellness and health, we've talked about you know different things and shows you can watch, we've talked about different games you can play that will interest you, and now we're trying to, you know, spin it, you know, add in something new, you know, different businesses that you can partake in and support, as well as you know, potentially how you can you know build your own, you know, uh your own output, your own your outlook in life. So we're really excited about June. Um, we'll have a special name for it. Again, this is that's not my forte. All my names are just you know made up. We don't actually use them. All the names actually really come out of Miss Skittles, the Black McCoy and Damo. So I'm not even gonna fake. Like, if I if it was me, I'd call it like because you know it's black in June. See that that sounded like see how terrible that was.
SPEAKER_03So, anywho, I was made that up like right. Like you can just make that up.
SPEAKER_00I told you I don't name things, I don't I told you. I don't think I tried to make sure you knew I tried to explain it before I didn't that was the premise. Um, I might bleep that part out anyway. So um yeah, so that is um that is our episode. Uh I I wanted to make sure that you know we were giving uh ourselves the ability to you know not only uh give explanation of what we uh experienced, but what we plan on doing, and then of course, most importantly, and I'll give all of our panelists the opportunity to do this, to 100, 1000, 1 million, 1 billion, 1 trillion percent, thank our listeners and our viewers uh uh for this past year. Um, as we've all said, I believe we did not know what the hell was about to happen last year, this time. Um actually, if you think a week ago last year, we probably all of us didn't even know we were gonna be on this podcast. So um we did know what we were doing, and you know, from that pilot episode all the way up until now, I think we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. And we, as you can tell, you know, we're not burned out. We're not, you know, tired, we're still rearing and ready to go, and we're excited to continue on providing content for each and every one of you. So for me, I'll start with myself, Suchino Shogun. I would like to thank all of our viewers, anybody who's mailed into the mailbag, anybody who has shared, uh uh direct messaged, um, retweeted, uh posted something on any of our social media accounts, whether it's individually or uh the Blurred Spectrum. Thank you. Uh I you know, we I don't take it lightly. Uh, and I'm you know I'm excited to see what we can do for you uh in the future. Uh Ms. Kittle.
SPEAKER_07So I wanna thank all of y'all for listening in and you know, chiming in when when y'all send stuff to the mailbag and just you know, just thank you for for supporting us um in general. Like, you know, it's it's not easy, you know, trying to come up with content every every month and every week. But um we're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_00But 2020 has been provided, I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_07I absolutely um yeah, appreciate the continued support. Um, so yeah, make sure you continue to tune in and share with your friends and your family and whoever else that you think might want to hear us.
SPEAKER_00Pass it out, y'all pass it out. Uh the doctor.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I'll definitely thank the viewers. Um, you know, really without the viewers, you know, there is no podcast. So, you know, it's we appreciate you so much. And you know, we uh really like what we create, it's our way of connecting with you. So um, yeah, I guess I don't have too much more to say than that. Um, yeah, it's been you know an amazing time.
SPEAKER_00So okay. Uh shampoo bracelets. Make sure you smash that like button. Yeah, subscribe. It's a way to say that all year.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_00See, this is what happens with Damo is right next to me.
SPEAKER_05No, but we talk about Ronnie, like oh my gosh. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Uh Badama, did you have something specific you wanted to say?
SPEAKER_06Um, thank you. Thank you. All the listeners and you know, subscribers. Keep spreading the word. And you know, if you ever want us to watch something, do something, taste something, we take money via Cash App. Let us know.
SPEAKER_00First off, we take money via. Hold on, hold on. We have the tribute.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, don't only fail. Yeah. Give it some time.
SPEAKER_00Oh Lord. Um, and then uh the black McCoy.
SPEAKER_03Um, I want to echo everyone's sentiment saying thank you to everyone who's been like really supportive, who's been listening, who's been sharing, who's been following, who's been reacting on their own social media, and you know, getting people um more indoctrinated into all of our you know, chaotic energy that somehow remains ordered thanks to sushi. Um and or attempts to. I also want to thank, you know, um everyone here because without all of you, this would not have been possible. Um, and I can honestly say that if we had a completely separate group of people, that it fundamentally would not be as good as it is now.
SPEAKER_00Um that's agree. And um on behalf of Joe Tsg, uh Sayone cosplay, Talonflame, Lady Legacys, excuse me. Enkase. Oh, and uh you said what? Enkaze. I was gonna say Kazai Junior. Uh uh, you know, coughing. Um, and all of our um guest panelists uh over the last year. Um, we would like to again say thank you uh and uh listen in for what comes next because it's it's uh it's almost like indoor plumbing. It's gonna be big. Uh thank you. Thank you. Sayonata.
