Welcome back to the Blurred Spectrum Podcast. I am your hostess, your moderator, your individual who likes to talk over people at times. Such inoshogun, who is back for this episode. I've been gone for the entire month of October and then half of November. Uh well, yeah, actually, it's been half of November. Uh, your uh sub-in moderator, the Black McCoy, did a phenomenal job hosting all things that were goosely, ghastly, and scary about people dying, getting chopped up. I mean, to the point that Sayone was like, Oh my god, that's a meat grinder. Uh, so we love the fact that I'm back, or I love the fact that I'm back. Why? Because it's meat, right? Uh, so I am here to bring you these panelists who are going to talk about what, ha, I've been allotted two episodes that I am not allowed to do all the time. One I've been banished from doing for the foreseeable future, which is you know, those tournaments. And then the other one is the round robin. Now, they've given me permission to do this round robin uh episode, and I'm so excited because they don't let me do things that often. So I'm throwing it to these panelists, asking them random questions. They have no idea what I'm gonna ask them. They have to give me their knee-jerk responses in the best way possible. Oh, right, but who are our panelists? Starting with the first one, Miss Skittles.

Uh, I like to call anybody an entrepreneur who takes the time to say, I'm important and what I want to do and how I want to do it and what I need to do to do it is going to take precedence. You can be an entrepreneur as a doctor, but just take it upon yourself instead of working under somebody's clock, do it the way you want to do it. You can be an entrepreneur as a business owner. You can either find it being based off of your audience or say, I don't care who likes the stuff I make, I'm going to make it and I'm going to give it out to people. If people buy it, oh well. I won't, you know, base it off anybody else. For me, to be a friend is to be a be an authentic, um, be an authentic person to an individual who you've staked time, effort, and experiences with. A friend is not somebody that you can meet in one day and all of a sudden be connected to them for a lifetime. You can, but I wouldn't call them a friend off the jump. Um, a friend is somebody who you've gotten to know. Um, a friend is somebody who you want to stake time and effort in. A friend is someone who uh understands the hardships that you're going through. And instead of plighting their own, um, allows you to vent to the point where they can either give advice or just give a I'm with you. And then and vice versa, that friend also understands, wait a minute, I know you're going through stuff too. What's going on? Uh friend is a person on both ends of that spectrum. Um, uh, a friend is someone who enables you to be your best self, no matter what is happening, whether you're going through stupid stuff or whether you're going through the greatest of days, whether you're rock bottom or whether you're on Mount Kilimandra or higher, a friend is a person who gives you who, you know, when they have that expression that says, uh, when you're at the ceiling, you just need that extra push to go through it. A friend is that extra push. It's that person that sees what you're trying to do. And I'm not saying they spend their last cents to help you out. I'm not saying that they, you know, sacrifice their family for you. I'm just saying your friend is a person who acknowledges the fact that you're going through something and says, Hey, I see where I see you. I see where you are. I see what you're doing. I acknowledge that you're doing it. I acknowledge your hardships and what you're going through. I may not be there. I may have never been there. So I'm not going to act like I got the advice for you. But I know you well enough to be able to say, This is possible. This shouldn't be you, and you can do better, or you can do worse. Shit, depending on the friend. Um, but they are that person that because of the things that they've seen, the things that they've seen you do and go through, um uh they're able to give you that extra push. Or you can have those friends that keep throwing shit back in your face, but they throw shit back up in your face because they know you and they know the stuff you've been through, and they know hearing those things uh will will help you reconfigure what the hell you're doing in those moments. So um again, a friend, although I said a friend is it doesn't have to be somebody who's been there for a long period of time. Um, sometimes you can have friends for three months and it can feel like 10 years. Uh, sometimes you can have friends that have been there for 10 years and it feels like they've only been around for a couple days. Uh so it it it it it it it's it it time isn't a factor. Uh now that I'm really you know talking more about it. Time is not a factor, it is the connection, it is the the link. Uh a friend can can feel closer than a soulmate, depending on you know what you feel a soulmate is. Uh, because a soulmate is someone who you feel as though your two lives, your two existences are linked for all time. And a friend can be that. You can have more than one soulmate. Uh uh honestly, losing losing a friend is probably one of the most uh traumatic experiences I think somebody can go through. And I feel that way because um, unlike a significant other, unlike a you know uh a family member, um, there are certain things that if you have given your trust and your um given given of yourself to this individual, to this person you've called a friend. You've divulged certain things, you've told them things that your family doesn't know, your significant significant other may not know, depending on you, unless your best friend is your significant other, then again, that's your whole nother thing. Um but your your your friend, you've you've you've you've opened Pandora's box of your life, not only because their friend has been there at certain instances, but they are your confidants, your aspoon coon, as my sister uh likes to say. And when you do that, um the it is you are at your your rawest. Uh uh, you are scraped down to the white meat almost. And if someone is to come against that trust, come against that openness, uh, pour poison or uh uh antiseptic on that white meat, it's gonna burn. It is, it's it's it is going to be one of the most unbearable feelings possible to the point where you're right. Uh to the point where you are uh you are your your your wound is infected, uh to the point where your body may need to be amputated, uh, to the point where it could cause a potential death. Um there are many ways to lose a friend. And I wasn't asked how do you lose a friend? I was asked, you know, what is losing a friend? So losing a friend is um losing something, because it it could be an imaginary friend, it could be, you know, person who's not there, it could be an animal, uh, but it's losing something or one or person uh that has been given access to the most inner reaches and sensitive parts of yourself, and having it ripped isn't even even a graphic enough word to describe what happens. Um I can't remember the animal. There's a specific, huh? Yeeted. I said it myself. That's a good one. But there's a there's a I forget the creature, but it's in a video game or anime, but it it latches onto your chest and it attaches to your heart, and if it's pulled off, you die. Um, so something of that nature.

And um, I think that happens way too often now than it than it possibly used to. Uh, but you know, it is it is losing something or someone or a person that you have placed in the innermost Reese's recesses of your uh sensitive places. And when it is almost like chocolate and peanut butter? Wow. Uh, because you can't separate chocolate from peanut butter, not not properly anyway. Um, but actually, yes, like the chocolate, like the peanut butter inside your Reese's peanut butter cup. You can break it open and you can try to leak up all the peanut butter you want, but there will still be peanut butter in your chocolate. And that is literally what it is like losing a friend. The bits and pieces of that peanut butter are still lost within that chocolate. SPEAKER_06I'm gonna tell you what I'm saying. What does it mean to what does it mean to experience vulnerability as an existential being, as a person who has to walk amongst other individual people and live and interact with them on a day-to-day basis? What does it mean to be vulnerable?
SPEAKER_08To be vulnerable is to enable anyone, everything, and every sense to be opened to any potential um I don't know, I don't want to use the word assailant, but that's from my own personal definition. Um, but any possible uh thing that's on the outside, enabling it to have access to your insides, pineapples. Um, so this could be physically, emotionally, mentally, psychologically, you are opening yourself. Um actually, uh let me see. For me, being vulnerable, being vulnerable means having this is gross too, having no walls, uh pineapples. Uh it's it's having absolutely okay, having no defenses, having um no fear of unknown. It's uh living at your rawest isn't even the word pineapples. Uh it's it's living at your purest. Um, I always feel like children are the most vulnerable because uh they come into a they come into life without any impurities. They come into life without any uh uh uh well. rephrase that some come into life with with impurities but those are based off of the uh being vulnerable in the womb so the that who is carrying the child can also cause them to be uh to fall into risk of certain things when they come out of the womb so um i'll say a fetus then a fetus is probably the most pure but based off of or the most vulnerable based off of the things that are around it so it's having no defenses not knowing you need defenses um it's being that brand new village that you know oh perfect it's being the federation of Jura from uh the time I was reincarnated as a slime he told them people not to mess with humans told them people not to attack humans told them people to make nice with humans just build your village you know the goblins the ogres the uh the the the the the timber wolves live your life like it's golden build your streets build your roads do what you want to do and the the time that the humans showed up they're like oh hey how you doing slaughtered that is being a hundred percent vulnerable it's living your life in a sense of like a sweet yes and that almost nothing could happen and oh not not not that almost nothing could happen not that you're untouchable not even untouchable un you you you do not you cannot fathom that danger can come your way because you do not know what danger is you've been protected to a sense or you you you are you are ignorant and naive to the dangers that you feel like should not exist or you don't know exist but blind to precisely well not blind to turn a blind eye to turn a blind i mean well some some people are I mean we say turn up blind because we know that they exist but to a person who never knew don't it doesn't even know the word danger exists you're like well why would I think that there's a danger well that's a that's a longer conversation uh yeah we're not no not not today so yeah that is vulnerability anybody else have a question anybody anybody why did you start this podcast I didn't start it we started it answer finished lady um what does it mean to be a sibling it's funny uh uh Dr.
SPEAKER_03Harleen asked me this question a couple months ago actually um asked you both you said what I asked you both you did ask us both that's true um and it's uh uh it's it's interesting um I've been asked this question about several times and it's uh I've been told by several people that we're myself and my sister are uh probably some of the best siblings that they've ever met uh because we don't have any squabbles or quarrels um so to be a sibling must be nice thank you Miss Kittle which is why I put this question into the two that you don't see squabble or anything not saying that y'all never squabbled as children but I'm just like you don't see a brother sister relationship like that unless it's on TV I I feel like they squabble they they don't quote no I'm not saying they don't they're not saying in real life no fuck that man they call it they don't really squabble they don't like they don't have like family feuds but like you know they got their squabble they got their petty occurrences but that's been around long enough that's you know I'm saying the petty occurrences but you know like I for especially for me I can only speak for me I don't have a relationship with my brother that's that's noteworthy we'll put it that way like we're 18 years apart like sometimes he'd be on a different plane I just want to call him stupid and move hang up the phone. So I mean we just we're not like that.

And it's like uh it's kind of the same thing that I said about my aunt where when uh my sister was born she had a child around the same time. So my aunt partially raised me like my parents did and because uh she was caring to her child she didn't give my sister the exact same of kind of raising situation that she gave me and my older sister. So it it it it came off as almost neglect even though it's not her child you see what I'm saying so kind of the same thing for your brother like you were 18 years apart he could have handled it as being a third parent to you but he had his own life children significant other so he just went off and just did him wherever the fuck he did it and whether it was college huh I'm about to say have you met my brother uh twice so three times so yeah I know but that's what I'm saying that was his opportunity to do it he just didn't do it because he didn't you know you didn't feel the need to but anyway to the question um what is it to be a sibling to be a sibling to be a sibling is to is to is to the only the first thing that comes to mind is to be there um and and I mean that in a variety of ways um uh for me understanding sibling like of course I watched the Huxables I watched uh Full House I watched step by step I watched um I'm trying to think of another black show with Family Matters thank you family matters um I watched a bunch of shows cartoons all different types of things with uh siblings and the interaction that you always see at the end of the episode is that the brother sister brother brother sister sister uh sister sister there's another one um are always there for the sibling at the end of it and I've always picked up on whether we squabble whether we don't see eye to eye on a specific thing if at the end of the day you can still say no matter what you think no matter how your your your views on things have been shaped I'm still your sibling I'm still there for you and I still got your back even if you wrong I'll still get you got your back and how wrong you are I feel like that is what a sibling is um um because I've seen as you know uh uh Dr. Quinzel has said I've seen some so sibling situations that the sibling will pick their significant other over the sibling uh the sibling will pick an outsider over the sibling and I'll I'll never say that a my my sister is not wrong about something I'll just have a conversation like why do you think usually not there we go uh why do you think this why do you believe this is that way and uh by trying to understand it we come to that that mid-grade point and we understand that okay like uh uh what's that what's home girl Miss Tremp trenchable Tremple Trenchable Trenchable thank you you're right and I'm wrong you're big and I'm small you know all that jazz I used to say that to her all the time and then you know she started saying it to me and she got taller than you I mean that wasn't why it was because all the all the siblings heights switched but that's a whole nother conversation um it it's for me being a sibling is no matter what you're right or wrong about no matter what that person does just being able to say you're there for them and the reason why I say no matter what that person does because yes people could do some very horrid shit in this world. And I'm not saying you need to stand by everybody because some people do some stupid ridiculous things. If you are there for somebody some of those things will you could potentially diffuse them. There's some things that I was about to do that I had a conversation with my sister about and it diffused the situation. I didn't make a decision that was horrible. And you know there was some situation she asked me questions uh on and I was able to give her guidance based off my experience because I'm the older sibling where she was able to navigate it a different way and it turned out all right or for the best. So being there for your sibling I and again I'm not saying in every single iteration of siblings that could have happened look at Cain and Abel. But I'm specifically saying that for me the definition of being a sibling is the is the concept of being there the concept of saying I got your back I hope you have mine in if not all most situations.

Yes uh loving responsibly uh to me uh means not loving blindly um people have a tendency of based off of you know love is blind you know in their mind and it'll take a whole bit of my you see what I'm saying like people be like uh uh their their mindset is you know I come into this situation and I have an I have an affection and my affection turns to oh I'm sorry I have an interest my interest turns to affection my affection uh turns to like and then like turns to love and they feel like um to make sure based off of whether it was uh hereditary based off of what they've seen on TV they feel like if I love this person I have to save and protect this relationship protect this union no matter what and and in my mind that's another form of loving blindly it's a form of um no matter what no matter what you do to me to uh uh uh the children to my siblings to my parents to your parents to your siblings to Joe Smoe to the maid to uh uh the the the kids teacher to anybody no matter what you do I'm gonna love you and I'm not gonna say anything about it I'm I'm I'm all in for you no matter what you do to me and you know we can go to all the things that that could potentially mean um and that's loving blindly to me loving responsibly was the correct word right loving responsibly is knowing who you're in love with knowing who you're in like with knowing who you are attracted to and affectionate towards making appropriate decisions that won't lead you into a situation that can cause you or anybody else or both of you harm. If who you are attracted to is truly for you truly your is actually supposed to be your love then no matter what that person will understand any of the things you're going through and any of the issues you may have I have no problem addressing a situation if I feel like that situation is detrimental to us or to either one of us and this doesn't have to just do with relationships is well it does it is relationships let me rephrase it's not just to do with significant others is anybody each and every one of my other panelists on this podcast I I have love for each and every one of you we've we've been this in this grind for the over this year and we've been doing a lot of things I have no problem saying certain things that look like may be detrimental to you. So my love my responsible love for you is to tell you hey in my opinion look at this a different way try to do this differently try to observe this at a different angle same thing with sibling love I'm not gonna lie to you and tell you I think what you're about to do is right you the dumbass you need to fix this in in in parental love you know you can't curse you well you shouldn't curse you know some people got loose mouths to their parents I don't I don't know what that means um but you have to be able to you know know who your parents are and just say okay I I love you enough to be able to say like yeah you're doing that wrong um don't hit me but you're doing that wrong so you might want to do it a little bit differently trigger um and then for you know relationship uh significant other responsible love it's it's like I said being able to say what needs to be said do what needs to be done I'm not telling you to kill nobody but before you get into a situation where you feel like you need to kill somebody take the actions that will protect you from being in certain types of situations and um you can love somebody from afar there's nothing wrong with that. And I don't mean long distance relationships either you you can you can there's people who have love from Bruno Mars will never meet that man. There's people that have love for Beyonce might go to a concert won't meet her you can love from afar it's very possible you don't have to be with someone like loving responsibly is knowing how far you need to be from somebody if you stalker type shit on your love for somebody that ain't the same thing as being in love with them I'm gonna need I'm gonna need somebody to acknowledge that but look at you less all of this is facts. So responsible loving or loving responsibly is the same thing as drinking responsibly know your limit know your tolerance know what you can handle. She asked the question I have to answer it know your no know what you can handle. If you can't handle bourbon you shouldn't be drinking bourbon if tequila makes you sweat in the middle of the night that's good for a sneaky link but you ain't supposed to do that all the time if if if if when you drink wine it it it it it's it's it's a subtle taste sweet to the touch sweet on the back sweet notes warm slightly viscous it gives you fall notes in the summertime spring notes in the wintertime it's like a Maya Angelo poem if you don't if if that's what it tastes like to you then love is sweet. Love is what that that's it it it should love loving responsibly should enable you to know how to handle what you want to attach yourself to for a long period of time. Because like I said anything that you love you a need to be able to give it away but B, you need to be able to know how to hold on to it but responsibly holding onto it not blindly holding onto it like this is this is what it is. You just gotta know how to take it let it go yes that is loving well that is Jacobs or Suchi no shoguns loving responsibly no tips anybody else like but donations will be accepted because I 1% tip I ain't about that all right uh okay anybody else miss kiddos did you have one I'm good did you get one I am learning I am snapping for the preaching that's going on in the day with this good sundae uh oh oh and uh I I guess I had to do this like they did on the business episode. Uh so you want to make sure you stay close, listen to her IGs, her lives. Uh she might sneak in the answers, she might not, or you just need to know. Or check an episode or two.
